Apr 1, 2008I have an activex combobox in my worksheet. I want the selected text in the combobox to be written to a defined cell when a button is clicked.

VBA - Delete Sheets In Active Workbook According To Combobox Value
May 8, 2014That particular question has been solved, but now i need it to work with multiple values from combobox.
So for example,
if "Master" is selected in combobox3, it will delete sheets 7, 8
if "CSR" is selected in combobox3, it will delete sheets 1, 8
if "Original IND" is slected in combobox, it will delete sheets 1,7
The current code will work when "master" is selected, however i am getting compile errors when i select "CSR" or "Original IND"
WhenI select CSR, it does create a new wb for me (without sheets 1,8) correctly but i get a Run time error.
Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)': Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.
When Original IND is selected, i get a compile error and it highlights 'Make the new workbook active newWBK.Activate

Find Method To Search For The Active And Non Active Values
Jul 14, 2009I have a range of amounts in Sheet 1 from F7:Q13 and im using the find method to search for the active and non active values in the cell. Which means that if there's a value in the cell it will transfer the value in Sheet 2, if nothing is found in the cell the cells in Sheet 2 will return as nothing or null.
I think the problem lies on the FindWhat variable. Im getting a compiled error which im not sure what is it.
I've attached the spreadsheet so you get a better idea of the problem that i encountered.
Macro With Reference To Active Chart On Active Sheet

When I copy the tab and change some of the data within the cells, I want the macro refer to the chart on the current tab and the values in the current tab - as currently it refers to only "Chart 2" and the values in the tab 'Figure 2 - WE OPH'.
I've tried changing the sheet name to ActiveSheet.name but that doesn't seem to work.
Populating Combobox 2 With Items That Match Criteria From Combobox 1
Mar 30, 2009Am trying to get dynamic population of 2nd combobox based on match from criteria in combobox 1.
if column a = bears and column b = colours of bears then
when I select bears in combobox one, combobox 2 would populate with colors of bear.
I am think of having a combobox 1 change event that evaluates each row in a specific range (does it match the criteria?) if so, then add 2nd cell (column b) of that row to the combobox 2.
I know it would probably involve match and offset, add item and loop, but I am not sure what the syntax is.
Auto Populate 2nd Combobox Based On 1st Combobox Data
Mar 30, 2014I need to populate two combo boxes from excel sheet, the data will be like below:
Column A Column B
A 1
A 2
A 3
A 4
A 5
B 100
B 101
B 102
So from the above data, one combo box should hold unique values A & B.
On selecting a value from the 1st combo box A or B, respective values should be populated in 2nd combo box.
So the data should be like below:
If A is selected in the 1st combo box, then 2nd combo box should only show the values 1,2,3,4 & 5.
If B is selected in the 1st combo box, then 2nd combo box should only show the values 100,101 & 102.
Friends I need it in a macro and one important point is, this is dynamic and it is not static and the data can be more.

ComboBox Selection That Fills A TextBox And Other ComboBox
Sep 28, 2013I created a UserForm then linked ComboBox1 to range A2:A, TextBox2 to range E2:E, and ComboBox3 to range M2:M of the same worksheet, named Sheet3. The row contents in Column A, Column E, and Column M are associated. Therefore, when the UserForm is active I want to be able to select a row from Column A in ComboBox1 and have the UserForm pull the contents from the same row of Column E into TextBox2, and Column M into ComboBox3. Here is what I have so far, but its not quite doing it.

Further a Userform with 2 Comboboxes "FirstName" and "SurName"
I'd like to choose the FirstName (say Jack) in the "FirstName" combobox, and based on that get the choice of the Surnames of all my Jacks in the "SurName" combobox.
Actually my sheet has much more fields and comboboxes, but i think my problem is just that I do not find a way to populate them dynamically.

Overall I am trying to find variable station name in cell L2 of Sheet 2 in Sheet 1 and then select and copy the data from the data in "cell L2 of Sheet 2" to the last entry of that row. I have attached an example test spreadsheet of the data and a macro is within Sheet 1 called test1. Please note that cell L2 in Sheet 2 will always be different station name and the station list in Sheet 1 will change with differing station name.

I copied and pasted Column A into Column C and then removed duplicates. I named Column C 'ValList' and placed it in the RowSource for ComboBox1. What I now want is for ComboBox2 to populate based on my selection in ComboBox1. There are no duplicates in Column B. Duplicates are in Column A.
I also named Column A 'Proc_Grp' and Column B 'ADA_QSI_Desc'
For the properties in Combobox2, I left the RowSource empty. (that's correct right?) Because there's going to be a code that links Combobox2 to Combobox1... I think...

The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.

This action should be restricted to one sheet in the workbook.

Dec 30, 2011I am trying to populate a combobox (CboMilestones) based on the project number that appears in CboProjNum. I need the values of certain columns to be added to CboMilestones. My spreadsheet is laid out in a paticular order based on a SQL upload that I will have to perform (1st column = project number, 2nd column = milestone 1, 3rd column = must be blank, 4th column = forecasted date, 5th column = actual date, 6th column = Milestone 2, 7th column = blank, 8th = forecasted date, 9th column = actual date....this repeats all the way to milestone 160) I need CboMilestone to populate with all the milestones on the row of selected project number, and then I need TxtADate and TxtFDate to display the dates of the selected milestone for the selected milestone.

Using Combobox 1 To Filter Combobox 2
Aug 22, 2008I have 2 comboboxes on a userform. In combobox1 I have a list of years which is pre-populated. In combobox2 i have some data. What i'd like to do is to sort combobox2 using the year selected from combobox1.
I have tried this slightly modified code from a different project, but cant get it to work correctly.
The code below autofilters, and selects the correct range, but will not populate the userform combobox... the highlighted row seems to be the problem:

Oct 2, 2008I spend a lot of time in spread sheets working with part numbers and sales figures. With a part # in column B and sales per month in adjacent columns, stretching back years. Is there any way to highlight an entire row automatically? ie. I use Ctrl F to search for a number and it goes to B24. I now want the entire row 24 highlighted as the active row.
When I move to another cell I want the entire row highlighted automatically. Can it be done.
