Code To Delete Rows Based On Status Code In Column
Jul 24, 2009I'm trying to write a VBA script which will delete all rows in my Excel spreadsheet where Column I (which contains a status code) does not contain the word "Completed".
At the moment, I'm doing this the other way round: my script is able to search for entries in Column I which contain the status codes "Pending", "Awaiting Authorisation", "In Progress" etc and delete them. The idea is that when all those rows are deleted, I'll only be left with rows which have a status of "Completed". This works fine at the moment. However, the concern is that if a brand new status code is added to the data file, my script would be unable to pick it up and delete it. This is a small sample of the code I'm currently using (which deletes all the rows with statuses other than Completed):

May 28, 2014I'm trying to write a simple VBA code to loop through values in the range A14:A138 and based on the value (of a possible four values) in any row of that range, populate the adjacent column in the same row with a conditional result. For example if A14 = "Cat", then B14 = "I"; if instead A14 = "Dog", B14 = "II", etc. If there is no value in column A, the result should be blank (i.e. "").
I believe are in coding the destination range since I can get it to work for just one cell in B! Below is my code that is not working...

Mar 25, 2008my existing macro, as the run takes to much time to complete. (at least 20min) I've already tried several loops, but no one worked for me. Following situation: There are two excel files, entries in column 73 - 85 will be copied from WorkbookRust to the other workbook if the numer in column 5 is the same. Not every cell within this columns contains data, so the macro should automatically jump to the last entry in each of the above mentioned columns, instead of predefine the range as you see in the code below. After the data is copied to the other workbook, it will be filtered acc. to Sub FilterMain and then copied back to WorkbookRust. As already said, the whole thing works, just to lame.

I have tried Range (LastColData & "3:18").Select and that selects everything on the whole page from row 18 down.
I have done a lot of searching and for some reason this dynamic selection and pasting of data is escaping me this morning

Code To Check For Duplicates In Column
Jun 10, 2014Obviously there is the Remove Duplicates option but I want something a bit different plus this option won't be available as the workbook is on complete lockdown.
There will always only be 214 rows to check in column B and the data cannot be sorted or it will mess a lot of things up!
Just wondering if there's some code that can check for duplicate entries because for the workbook to work, each row must have a different entry.
When the user selects this sheet a message box pops up telling them they can't have two or more entries the same but I feel this isn't enough as there's nothing actually stopping them doing this.

On the sheet titled Price List, in row 1, I have an =IFERROR(HLOOKUP( formula to show what I need. The Data Pull sheet can be updated using a third party software, and retailers can be added or deleted. The purpose is that if a retailer is deleted from the Data Pull sheet, it will automatically be removed from the list on the Price List sheet, rather than just showing a bunch of N/A's in every cell. Then if it is re-added in the future, it will repopulate on the Price List sheet.
The formula I have in row 1 is my manual way of showing whether or not the retailer was deleted. If it contains EXCLUDE, you can go in and manually delete the column. However, I would rather have a macro do this.

Code Does Not Work When Change Column Value A To D
May 7, 2012I have a macro that runs through a list and stores elements to an array. If the element is not found in my list, it adds to the next available row and adds the value from the array to that cell. Right now, I am searching in column d but am storing the value of column a at that location. When I switch the reference to column D, the value is not inserted into my new list.

Why does the code not work properly when I switch to D? The value is storing correctly in the array. I test this by the last line of the code and it executes properly.

Code Hides The Arrow In Column
Mar 11, 2009I have a sheet that is autofiltered. Once a user autofilters columns 20, I would like to hide the arrow for that column so the user can no longer autofilter using that column. When I run the code - it hides the arrow in column 20, but then it unfilters all the data . . . can I hide the arrow in column 20 but keep the data as it was filtered before the code ran.

Copying VBA Code In Cell Down A Column

I want to copy this code down the column (until reaching an empty row) will cells refernced in the code changing accordingly (just as if i had written the code in the cell and dragged it down a column).
