I have an excel sheet i would like to make into a journal. I would like to make a page for each day of the year. I want to duplex print it, but i cant seem to do it directly from excel would it be possible just to make the file into a pdf?
Here is the macro i was trying:
Sub ghgh()
Dim i As Long, temp As String
temp = InputBox("Enter date")
If Not IsDate(temp) Then Exit Sub
For i = 0 To 2
[Code] ....
Trouble is it only does one page at a time, so i cant duplex print.
I have atext file like this.
< ZEEO:ALL;
LOADING PROGRAM VERSION 22.10-0
BSC3i BSC1000 2012-04-10 11:23:47
BASE STATION CONTROLLER DATA
NUMBER OF PREFERRED CELLS ........................(NPC).... 3
[Code]....
Now when I am running the macro the output is coming for a single text file as input like..
BSC
NPC
GMAC
GMIC
[Code]....
It should be only a single row as output,but here it is coming in multiple rows(as no of columns) the same data .this is the problem.when I run the same macro for multiple text file it is working properly.
I have a large table of results that looks like this...
Forename___Surname___Art___Maths___Science___English___Drama
Billy________Bob_____________B_______A________C_____________
Michael_____Micky_____A_____D_______B_________________C____
Shelly______Sholly_____A*____A________________A________B____
I am looking for a way to write this data in a list like this........
Billy__Bob__Maths___B
Billy__Bob__Science_A
Billy__Bob__English__C
Michael__Micky__Art__A
Michael__Micky__Maths__D
Michael__Micky__Science__B

I have attendance tables that has column Y showing the shift to be worked and column Z showing any absentees. I used the following formula to count the number of people off per period.
{=SUM(COUNTIFS($Y$5:$Y$29,AM,$Z$5:$Z$29,$W82),(COUNTIFS($Y$36:$Y$60,AM,$Z$36:$Z$60,$W82)))}
in the above formula AM relates to a list of morning shifts.
The problem I have now encountered is that the system at work is still using excel 97 - 2003 which does not recognise Countifs.
way to adapt the formula to be compatible with Excel 97.
I have looked at some threads related to this issue but don't quite fit what I am on about. I access some data online that appears in a grid format which I copy and paste to Excel. I don't have access to the source data/database. I select and set some query variables and run the query and the result appears in the grid. I copy and paste to Excel that is it. When paste to Excel 2010 I have the choice between "Keep source formatting" and "Match destination formatting". OK, I always choose the 2nd option i.e. "Match destination formatting". That is it. It appears to be a simpler format. Where does the problem come in? Can you help me stop Excel from involuntarily converting numerics to dates when not asked?
The data itself can (at least the part that I'm interested in can) come in 2 different ways. 1) WPS or 2) W%P%S. In case you're interested these represent racing statistics where 1) WPS = Number of Wins, Places, Starts given as whole integer format and 2) W%P%S = Percentage of Wins, Percentage of Places and S is still the integer number of starts. Now, when I run the query and copy these statistics over to Excel, particularly in the form of the 1st type of data i.e. WPS they are in the form e.g. "2-6-12" which means 2 wins, 6 places from 12 starts. The stats literally come across in the form "W-P-S" where I fear the delimiter "-" is causing the date conversion consequences that I have outlined at the start. ALSO, as you could have imagined, I have tried importing the data in terms of the 2nd type of data namely "W%-P%-S", which, on the surface of things begins to solve the problem in terms of the initial paste of the data into Excel. That is true, and yes I have found that this has delimited the data correctly mainly. Although there are still occasional problems. When I import the data this way, I still want the data in the % form as well as the integer form. So I do a great deal of data massaging with what I have and yet in re-converting some of the data back to integer form I can still encounter the "convert to date" problem.

I have 450 names for which I would like to create email addresses. For example:
Name: John Doe
Required email address: John.Doe@boston.gov.tr
Is there a way to convert all 450 names in one go so I can then upload to MS Outlook and then send emails to these people? I am using MS Excel 2003 & 2007.
I am trying to convert

I have phone number in phone format which looks like this: (123) 456-7890 which needs to be converted to: 1234567890.
I tried but unable to do so.
I have a list of dates and want to convert them to something like Monday 21st October instead of 21/10/13.
I am sure this is easy but cannot see how to do it. I am on Excel 13.
A coworker is setting up an MS Project...project, and adding a custom field that would convert the Start date field into our Fiscal Quarter Fiscal Week schema, to display as FQFW, e.g. Q1W1. I've written the formula in excel, but I've never even touched Project until this week. Apparently it doesn't take formulas quite the same way as Excel does. I tried using the ''Switch" function in Project, and it worked, but it only accepts 14 arguments, and there are obviously 52 weeks we're dealing with. Would there be a way to do this using VBA? (I know next to nothing here as well.)
Formula where A1 is the Start Date:
Code:
=IF(AND(A1>=DATE(2014,2,1),A1=DATE(2014,5,3),A1=DATE(2014,8,2),A1=DATE(2014,11,1),A1
I have a Column of dates in this format: 5/19/2014 8:08:44 AM I am trying to get this to read 20140519 or yyyymmdd It doesn't matter what format I change to, it will not update unless I activate the cell and then tab or enter out of it. I have 3000 rows to convert. with this either by setting or VB Sub?
Excel 2010
I have a long series of dates (month and year) formatted like this:
1969.051969.061969.071969.08
In other words, these are May '69, June '69, July '60 and Aug '69.
I cannot get excel to recognize them properly. How can I conver these into an excel-recognizeable date format?
I am migrating a bookkeepping spreadsheet from Quattro v12 (c2001) to Excel 2007 and have hit a stone wall over relative 3-D references.
In this workbook each sheet holds data for one month, and this includes some lagging-12-month calculations -- that is, summing a range on a single cell for the preceding 12 sheets (including this one).
Unexpectedly, this formula:
=ISUM('201206:201305'!M6)
gives absolute references, even though I put in no dollar signs after the sheet names. This means it gives the wrong answer when copied to the next sheet to start a new month.
I can find no reference at all to converting the above formula from absolute to relative reference.

I'm using Excel 2010. I have a spread sheet with sales data covering 3 years and multiple customers. I was able to create formulas such as this to calculate the figures for the entire sheet (all customers) by year.
=SUMIFS(J2:J12904,E2:E12904,">12/31/11",E2:E12904,"<1/1/13").
I believe that in order to use filters that show this date for a specific customer I need to convert this to a SUMPRODUCT formula, I've tried this multiple times and had no luck.
A client buys 500 minutes of my time. In one week I spend 340 minutes on the account. I'd like a column to show Time purchased (say 500 Minutes) Time spent and a final section showing time left (but showing negative values in red)
I hope I've explained this ok but here is an illustration of what I'm trying to achieve in Excel 2011.

I have a spreadsheet where we will be inserting the Arabic Hijri date taken from a Customs document (bayan). On my spreadsheet I'd like to have a column immediately next to the Hijri date that would convert the Hijri date to the Gregorian date so both dates will be visible for our Arabic and Western personnel who will be using the spreadsheet.
I am using Microsoft Excel 2010.
How to make EXCEL 2007 Automatically convert all my CURRENCY symbols in all cells formatted for CURRENCY in THE SAME SHEET to the one and ONLY currency selected in JUST ONE cell ? (i mean, after conversion, all of them are Not just display currency symbols, but Calculable monetary values like regular Excel's built-in currency format)
I am a dummy in VBA so I really am not familiar at all if the solution is really one of VBA. I don't even know how to start programming VBA at all in Excel.
I have a problem converting hourly data into daily data for electricity import capacity. My file has the following form:
| Connection | Date | Period | Available (capacity) | Where 'Connection' identifies the physical location of the capacity (4 possibilities, Germany -> Netherlands; Norway -> Nehterlands; Belgium -> NL; UK -> NL), 'Date' refers to the date, Period refers to hour of the day (e.g. 18:00-19:00) and 'Available' refers to the import capacity of electricity on that conncetion during that hour. I need daily aggregates and tried several things such as DSUM but I cannot manage I've shortened the attached file quite a bit because of the upload size restriction. I am using Excel 2010. I've tried some suggestions in similar topics but none worked for me.
I'm working on converting some databases. One has entries with normal human readable time format, the other uses the unix epoch time format.
Is there a function or vba code that I can use in excel to convert the normal time format to epoch time?
I've got a thousand or so entries, so it would be nice to find a way to do this on a large scale.
converting to a text file from Excel.
The below code worked in 2003, but now I have put it in 2007 with just a change in the Range to work with.
What I'm getting is a Text file with, for lack of a better term, hyroglifics (sp).
Not the numbers that I should get like I got in 2003....
I need to convert the following string into Excel dates:
Jan 1, 2009
Jan 12, 2009
Jan 21, 2009
Right clicking it and changing it to date format will not work.
I have tried extracting individual days/months/years out by using Left/MID and Right functions but as you can see, problem lies when there days with single digit or double digits.
