Develop A Point System To Rank Things

I am trying to develop a point system to rank things. For eg: in the below chart, I have the follow criteria.
In a particular Cell A1, i enter a numerical value like 1.5. Then Cell A2 (Points) should show that the Points earned is 80.
If MTTR is 1.00, then the Points received by the candidate is 100. Similarly if 3.5 or higher is there, then the points should be 0

This is only one type of calculation. For other tables, i will have to change the criteria.
Is there any way i can set the limits for A2 as 0 to 100 and based on what appears in A1, the cell A2 should change automatically

I need to develop a System using Macro in MS Excel 2007.. but i don't know how to do it..
I got 2 file in MS Excel
File number 1 : Demand - file name : ( got 55675 row of data)
File number 2 : Supply - file name : ( got 6774 row of data )
File number 1 : The data is starting from 0110111101 ( commodity code ) until 9999999999 ( commodity code )
File number 2 : The data is starting from 1532423007(commodity code) until 9119199901 (commodity code )
I need to categorize all this data in 10 sheet ( sort by the first 2 digit of the commodity code ):
Sheet 1 : 00 -09
Sheet 2 : 10- 19
Sheet 3 : 20 - 29
Sheet 4: 30- 39
Sheet 5: 40 - 49
Sheet 6 : 50 - 59
Sheet 7 : 60 - 69
Sheet 8 : 70- 79
Sheet 9 : 80- 89
Sheet 10 : 90 - 99

Column A has names and Column B has points in descending order for the names in A. Columns C & D will have names and points, re-sorted for points descending order.
Column E will report if there has been a change in the ranking of the name and by how much. Column F will report the point difference for the names, regardless of order. I have attached a generic example, without any attempts at formulas. I am working with over 600 names.

A formula for ranking two sets of columns and four rows. I have column A with the names Sid, Dave, Marty, Steve. Column B has -4, 5, 4, 2 (thats actually the point difference). Column C has 1, 2, 2, 1 (thats actually winning games). I want to rank them in order from highest to lowest starting with column C (winning games), then because there is obviously a draw (or as some might call it a tie) between Dave and Marty (2 each) and another draw between Sid and Steve (1 each), I would like to rank them upon column B (the points difference) after attempting to rank them for games won. So I anticipate an extra column with the following from top to bottom - 4, 1, 2, 3.

I have a column of unsortable percentage data. I need to allocate a point in a neighbouring column to all those percentages up to a cutoff total percentage.
Not very clear because I can't put it into words. Essentially, as the column is not sortable, I need to identify the highest percentages listed in the column down to a cutoff. Makes more sense if you observe the simple Excel data.

I have a pivot table as shown below which is pretty straight forward however I am trying to create a macro that will automatically change the point name to match the point name in column E then copy that resulting dispaly to another sheet then pick the next point name in line and do the same thing and repeat for 50 rows, so my end result will be 50 pivot tables ready for printing. I can do this manually but I am trying to make it automatic...BTW the point names in column E change everyday but the pivot table supports the name changes.

I need to find the median of Column C and Column H and then divide the median sum of Column C by the median sum of Column H. My data contains blanks so I obviously need to count cells with data only. I am trying to avoid hard coding any cells and am looking for a single formula.

I am having trouble trying to develop a code to include into a spreadsheet for work. It will be a live spreadsheet accessed by a few people who will have control over there own columns in the spreadsheet (2 columns are designated for one project) Each Project director is to edit the info about their project.
So my goal is to put a code in cell C3 that shows the date that cells C4-32 and D4-32 were last updated.

I have a few excel calendars.
I was wondering can I take a calendar and then put hyperlinks or vba to make a sheet if clicked on.
So If I click on an icon on a date, it will copy a certain template sheet, then link it to that date and that icon.
See an excel calendar, I have a few others to play with aw well.
But this one gets updated on the same the page and not sure how the links/icon would follow the dates. I was hoping for maybe 3-4 different icons on a date.

I am trying to compare items on two spreadsheet. I have an existing spreadsheet that lists items and then I import another spreadsheet from a database to confirm if new items have been added that were not on the original spreadsheet. I am about to go crazy and cannot figure out why I keep getting N/A (I know there are some repeats).
I have tried formatting, adding in isna, making sure there are no spaces, and paste special as text... still doesn't work. There are hypens in the data so I have removed them with substitute.

I have to use data tables to calculate Net Present Value (NPV) by altering specific variables.
My NPV is the result of a series of calculations to ultimately arrive at a cash flow figure and then apply the WACC (average cost of capital)
I understand how to use data tables But for the life of me i cant figure out how im going to tell excel that im changing for example wage costs and not fixed assets when trying to asses the NPV sensitivity
My sheet and calculations are all set up
I've done it manually by altering the figures on the Inputs and Data Sheet.
My NPV calculation is on the Workings and calculations sheet.
The data tables i have done manually are on the Inputs and Data sheet.

I have this macro to move things to the right. Sort of like a vlookup in a way. However, it runs using one range @ a time. For example it will look up the quantity in A2 versus what's in Row 1 and if they match, data from B2 would be moved into correct column. However, I'd like to run for multiple columns at the offset so I can don't have to keep changing data in the macro. Like want to run for these ranges at the same time as running the first range.

So I have this assignments. Its about rental services. I need to create a formula where the price is automatically found from a table depending on what drop down menus are selected. One menu is the rental name and the other is the season i.e. high or low, therefore each rental has two prices.
I know i can use Vlookup if there was one drop down menu but how to do the other. I was think it will interms of if statement but i dont know...

For example, if I type Blue Car in a cell and type 4 in the next cell, is there a way I can program Excel to enter that data every time I type Blue Car?

I am trying to develop an Indirect Indirect Validation drop down list. Example, Building - Floor - Room, i.e. Select Building from a Validation drop down list. Then based upon the Building selected, select only the Floors applicable to the Building Selected. I am able to achieve this via an Indirect Validation drop down. However, when I attempt to then select the Rooms applicable to the Floor of the Building I selected, I can not produce an Indirect Validation off a previous Indirect Validation.
In the attachment, I have used Plant - Location - Room. I have name ranged the selections, and have used Validations Lists for Plant, and Indirect Validations for Location. The error occurs where I attempt to do an Indirect Validation for Room.

I would like to do is develop a stand alone program in Visual Basic ( not in Excel VBA) to update the price file in our Portfolio system automatically using the downloaded Excel format file csv extention file from the BigCharts. But before that, I need to export the *.pri file from our Portfolio system in to Excel which still saves as *.pri extention. Then once it updates, I import the updated *.pri file back in our Portfolio program. I understand that the Excel VBA code can be incorporated in Visual Basic code provided there is an object declaration for Excel file (In this case eventhough the both files are in Excel format, they don't have xls extention). how to use external files and Excel VBA code in Visual Basic?
Below is the code that I currently have in Visual Basic. What I'm trying to accomplish is using the ticker (eg. msft) as a keyword search to look up in the price file. If found , the price of that ticker from the test.csv file will be copied in to the price file which is test.pri. I haven't ran it yet.

What I am trying to do is give the rank in column D based on the values in columns B and C. Some of the values in column B will have then same rank, and as such I want to add further criteria on which to rank them. I would first like to rank the values in column B and then rank the values in column C, which should give the rank in column D. For example Dog and Frog have the same value of 400 from the Non UK column. Therefore, rather than having these as both rank 1, I want them to be ranks 1 and 2, so want to add another criteria (UK). As Dog is greater than Frog in the UK (i.e. 10>7), I would like to rank Dog as 1 and Frog as 2. Goat will be ranked as 3 because it had the thrid highest value in the Non UK.

Point System:
1 point for correct goals/no goal by either both teams
3 points for correct result ( Win, Lose, or Draw - say result is 3-1, 3 points if you predicted a Chelsea 2-0 win)
5 points for correct match results
No points for incorrect score and results.

I m trying make a spreadsheet up to fine the following i have also included a file
raymond ran 11 seconds so he gets 150 points which is .6 of a second better than his Personal best time (PB's) but matt ran 13.6 seconds but it is 1.1 seconds slower than his Personal best time so he is minus 275 for every .100 of a second they get 25 points added or taken off

Below is a formula that links other worksheets from other workbooks to cell B4. If I copied this to another computer system in My Documents that is named other than Tom would the links get updated to that system. If not is there a macro that can handle this to be updated to another computer system.
