I have columns A and B, I want to find any names that appear in both column A and column B. I want them to show in a certain color.
I'm trying to make a range selection in a pivot table as per the snapshot below:

The values I am trying to select are the ones that are both red and italic. (Mobile, Other Fix, Fix) from CBU_NA.
I've searched and found a way to select both the rows for CBU_NA category and also the column categ2.
However when I try to make an intersection out of the 2 ranges I receive an error. I'm using Excel 2010 on windows 7.Below the code I am using:

my Problem is; I have rows of different clients in one worksheet with various columns of extra data called ALLRECORDS. I have created new worksheets(tabs) in the same workbook for individual clients. I want to to automaitcally pull all the mixed client data from ALLRECORDS into their individual client worksheets along with all the columns of extra data.
so whenever I update ALLRECORDS it automatically updates individual clients worksheets.
I have been working with personal record data in multiple workbooks, using sumif, index, vlookup etc to show various required info.
What I now need to do is take all the records of people aged between 16-18 and list this in a new worksheet.
I can get all the records I need in a pivot table but it needs to be something I can add columns to in order to gather further info.
I have designed a spreadsheet and i want a seperate worksheet (sheet3 for arguments sake) to retrieve customer data from worksheet 2 - The data I required is the customer data currently contained on columns A - H and there are around 50 rows. (A2 - I51). I want the seperate sheet to identify entries that have today's date in column I and then list them in Worksheet 3.
Im having difficulties with the syntax for retrieving the data from a seperate worksheet. There may be several entries for the same date and I want to the seperate sheet to report all customer data in worksheet 3? Also, if the date falls on a weekend I would like to retrieve any data for the weekend on the Monday so all cases can be reviewed.
In the attached file, details sheet contains multiple instances of project with associated costs for each of 2006, 2007 and 2008. What I need is a formula (preferably) or a VBA that select distinct project names and populate column B of summary sheet so I can do a sum if. The problem is the project names changes dynamically every week and they are practically in hundreds.

the recordes in sheet 1 are around 11000 but in sheet 2 are around 2200 where the sheet 2 has a specific materials from sheet 1 .
Now i want to update the prices in sheet 2 from sheet 1 for each item after confirm that the materila code in sheet 2 equal in sheet 1 so copy the price from sheet 1 to sheet 2
Sheet 2 is old prices and sheet 1 has new prices so i need update the new prices in sheet 2

is there a code i can use to choose the 1st worksheet insteading of selecting the worksheet1 in workbook? Because there are different file that got different worksheet name. E.G. worksheet1, worksheet2 or maybe Addidas, Nike.
I have three work sheets.

I have my training file that is currently set up and working how I want it to, however I would like to go one step further if it's possible.
on the FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING column there is one person out of date and 14 people that need the training, how can I populate all the name that need this training onto sheet 1 into the box that I have created. I'm wanting this to happen automatically so I don't have to retype the name onto this sheet.
Is there a simple way using VBA to find a date in the format of dd/mm/yyyy? I have a range on every sheet from A1 to IQ1 with dates already entered. I want to add this vba to some other code so the user can go straight to the date entered on the worksheet.
Using the edit find, it can find dates easily. Can this function be replicated through VBA?
I found a topic here that wanted to know how to remove links, I wanted the same thing.
I found an add-in that identified and could remove any links in the workbook depending on the response to the dialog box. So far, so good.
But it found a link that was located on another page, this link was linked to a third workbook. But what the link is doing or what its association is w/ the other workbook is a mystery. How do I see what this link's purpose/function is?
I am trying to create a table that references data in a much larger report that constantly has rows and columns added and deleted off of it. Here is an example:

This is a simple example of what I would be trying look data up from. But there are hundreds or rows and columns in the actual report, so I am creating another document that just pulls the data I need to review off of the larger report. New rows and columns are added to the report on a daily basis. So I am trying to have a cell return a value as a result of an intersection of 2 other values that remain constant. For example: Looking up the intersection of the row that contains "James" and the column that contains "Total Sales" would return "22" as the result in the cell.
I am making a rough gantt chart in excel for a project schedule. Japanese at work love excel fro some reason that is why I am trying to do this. I have column headings for days ( 3/3, 3/4, 3/5, etc) and I want to find a way to mark the intersection when a date is input in another row. I tried to do some conditional formatting using symbols, but couldn't get anything to work.
see picture. I want to mark at correct date according to column headings when date is placed in column E or F. This example shows column E with 3/10 so I want to make a value appear at intersection AS and the row 3/10 is on. Would like to get a symbol to appear there if possible.

There is a database with work plans for a project cycle, which contains employee names, types of activities, planned working hours for each activity (not in time format, just number) and dates when these hours will take place. Each employee may have one or multiple activities and each activity has different number of hours planned to complete and different dates. My aim is to calculate the number of hours planned for each employee (to sum all activities) within a certain period of time.
So, what is the question? I need to calculate the number of workdays within the intersection of the planned period for the activity and my given period of time.
I'll give a small example to illustrate what I mean.
I'm calculating planned working hours for this week, which is 11/23/2008-11/29/2008. One of our employees, let's call him John, is going to work on three activities, A, B, and C. We have the following plans:
Activity A - 16 hours - 11/24/2008-11/27/2008
Activity B - 45 hours - 11/15/2008-11/25/2008
Activity C - 10 hours - 11/26/2008-12/01/2008
As you can see, activity A is going to be complete within this week, it's perfectly fine. Activities B and C should be counted separately, because they include days earlier or later than this week. Is there any way I can easily geet the number of workdays that are included in the plan period and this week?
Another thing to mention is that I'm working in Excel 2003 and it's not acceptable for me to install the Tools Pack, because I need this firmula to work on other employees computers and there is no chance they all will install it too.
I am having to figure out a particularly painful excel formula. What i need is a formula that will count the number of times an issue label in text shows up, but it has to match a certain time.
we can get the excel sheet to round the time to the nearest thirty minutes, so if a call comes in at 3:12pm it rounds it to 3pm. We label the calls that come in with a issue description also like "dvr issue." So i need a formula that will allow me to count the number of instances where if it says 3pm AND dvr issue it will only count it and give me a total in a specified cell. Is that possible?
I have store numbers (#3, #5, #6) (not consecutive, but ascending right to left) across the top, and dates (11/19/2013) ascending down the left.

I have created a worksheet that uses lookup for the numbers that are in sequence but am unsure what formula to use when trying to lookup non sequence numbers as shown below.
Sequence No's
Cell A1:A10 would be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 (as example)
Non sequence No's
Cell B1:B10 would be 2,5,1,7,3,8,4,10,6,9 (as example)
What do I use to lookup, if cell C1 = 1 and needs to find the No 3 from the Non sequence cells?

The above table (sheet 2) shows duplicate rows (bold) from comparing table in sheet 1.
I was using this function below, however this does not give me the desired output i am looking for.

What i need to do is:
I have 2 worksheets: worksheet 1 Articles and worksheet 2 New Prices.
Whats common on both worksheets is Reference Nš (In the case of worksheet 1 its column E and in worksheet 2 its B), what i need to do is replace the price corresponding to reference nš in worksheet 2 (In column E) with the price of the corresponding reference number in worksheet 1 (in column N).
Its a basic find and replace, but its a list of over 17.000 articles so the best way is VB, so i look through your lists and helps, but i just cant do it.
I have a code which locates a value in a column, and locates a word in a row. I've then tried to return the value that intersects these to findings. eg. The code finds a value in "A10", and a value in "E5", The code then needs to return the value in "A5".
