Organise An Unorganised Worksheet Into Seperate Worksheets

Jul 25, 2008

how to filter and use certain functions and make pretty looking charts.

my Problem is; I have rows of different clients in one worksheet with various columns of extra data called ALLRECORDS. I have created new worksheets(tabs) in the same workbook for individual clients. I want to to automaitcally pull all the mixed client data from ALLRECORDS into their individual client worksheets along with all the columns of extra data.

so whenever I update ALLRECORDS it automatically updates individual clients worksheets.

Getting Averages From Seperate Worksheets

Dec 9, 2009

The first one, I do i remove #DIV/0! from cell O7 in the worksheet "My overview"?

The second one, I need to get averages of the QA score for the 3 months from January to March in the worksheet "My Overview" Cell E14 for the corresponding person on each sheet. I understand that there need to be values in place to get an average but is there a way to overcome this?

I have two seperate worksheets and I want to merge the data into one new worksheet.

example:
Book1 contains;
stock code
description
price

Book2 contains;

item name

I need to make one new worksheet which contains;

So I need to merge data using the stock codes into one new worksheet.

Copy Similar Named Worksheets To Seperate Workbooks

Dec 23, 2008

I have an application where I create up to 400 worksheets based on imported data.

These worksheets are named programatically with a main name and a sheet index number (to ensure no duplication of sheet names).

Typical Sheet names are "VARIOUS (1)"; "VARIOUS (2)"; "PART 1000 (3)"; "PART 1000 (4)"; "PART 1001 (5)"; "PART 1001 (6)" etc.

I want to be able to loop through all the sheets and copy similar named worksheets to seperate workbooks. So all the VARIOUS go to one workbook, all the PART 1000 goto another, and all the PART 1001 goto another. I can only determine the worksheet names by looping through all sheets - as I am not sure what they will be called because it is done programmatically. ALL sheets will contain a "(n)" where n is the sheet number, so I believe can extract similar names from the string preceding the left bracket.

At the moment I just lump ALL the worksheets irrespective of name to a single workbook creating an array and using the SPLIT function. This is very efficient and what it does, and I still want to use the SPLIT function and arrays.

this is the code I currently use, any help much appreciated!!! Please tell me how to modify this existing code to clump together similar names and copy - I guess I will need to loop multiple times to achieve this.

For Each mySheet In ActiveWorkbook.Sheets

Range("Arc").Value = "'" & Range("Arc") & "," & mySheet.Name
If Left(Range("Arc").Value, 1) = "," Then
Range("Arc").Value = "'" & Right(Range("Arc").Value, Len(Range("Arc").Value) - 1)
End If
Next

Sheets(Split(Range("Arc").Value, ",")).Select
Sheets(Split(Range("Arc").Value, ",")).Copy

Is actually a formula/macro that outputs a number... (didn't know if this mattered?)

VBA Re-organise A Table In Ascending Order

Jan 29, 2010

I need now is to provide a separate filtered list to the side (Starting from column M.

In the quickest way possible (as the data is going to stretch to 2-3 thousand rows I suspect :s), I need to, after selecting a track of interest using a list box on the sheet (Eg Brands Hatch), and a season (eg 2006, 2007, 2008 etc or ALL), and a race class (Eg A, B, C or ALL), have a macro display the data matching the selected criteria to the left of my data from column M1. This needs to be ordered with the smallest lap times (from column F) at the top...

The idea is that I can select a track, and some filter data and display a history of the fastest recorded laps at that circuit from the long list of data I have. I can't use the filter function within Excel as I'm going to need to generate and copy this data for export to an output file later on.

Nov 20, 2009

I have designed a spreadsheet and i want a seperate worksheet (sheet3 for arguments sake) to retrieve customer data from worksheet 2 - The data I required is the customer data currently contained on columns A - H and there are around 50 rows. (A2 - I51). I want the seperate sheet to identify entries that have today's date in column I and then list them in Worksheet 3.

Im having difficulties with the syntax for retrieving the data from a seperate worksheet. There may be several entries for the same date and I want to the seperate sheet to report all customer data in worksheet 3? Also, if the date falls on a weekend I would like to retrieve any data for the weekend on the Monday so all cases can be reviewed.

Multiple Worksheets VS 1 Worksheet

Aug 2, 2007

I now have 1 workbook with 3 worksheets. Each of the worksheets has a list of clients (currently about 130) and then several years worth of data. For each work sheet the first 4 columns are identical (last name, first name, med record number, DOB) and then a different set of longitudinal data.

I need to be able to add new clients and their basic demographic info and have the names show up on all the worksheets in the same alphabetical order. I could then add the data on the appropriate worksheet as collected.

I can send the workbook if you need it, but would first need to remove all identifiable information.

Reconciling A Master Worksheet Against Three Other Worksheets?

Jul 23, 2012

I have four worksheets and they are named: P (the master spreadsheet), and then A, G, and S (which, combined, should contain all the values on P). These spreadsheets are identically formatted. Column A in each spreadsheet has a Name, and column B has a quantity associated with that name. There are no column titles or headers.

Basically, I need to ensure A, G and S role up into P.

I'd like to create a macro that will identify instances where Column A (the Name) on the master spreadsheet has a match with Column A (the name) on any other spreadsheet. Then when there is a match, I want to reconcile Columns A (the names) and B (the quantities) on the master spreadsheet against its corresponding values on the other spreadsheets. In my ideal scenario, a new worksheet would be created showing:

Column A: Contains the values from Spreadsheet P, Column A

Column B: Contains the value from Spreadsheet P, Column B

Column C: Blank

Column D: Contains any matching value to Spreadsheet P, Column A, but otherwise states "No Match"

Column E: Lists the corresponding value to Column D, but otherwise states "No Match"

Column F: Equals Column B minus Column E, but otherwise states "No Match"

I've tried applying examples from other threads but they are so customized/specific to people's individual needs that I've been unable to make them work for my more simplistic example above.

Compiling Data From Few Worksheets To 1 Worksheet?

May 13, 2014

I have 3 different sheets with data that I want to combine into one sheet using a formula. Here is an example:

Sheet A
Date Amount
10/1 $5
10/2 $10
10/7 $5

Sheet B
Date Amount
10/2 $7
10/3 $10

Sheet C
Date Amount
10/5 $5
10/6 $10

I want a fourth sheet that fills with all the data from these three sheets. Ideally it would be in order by date, but I understand that might not be possible. So the last sheet should look like this:

Date Amount
10/1 $5
10/2 $10
10/2 $7
10/3 $10
10/5 $5
10/6 $10
10/7 $5

The reason I want to use a formula of some sort is because if I add more rows to sheet A for example, I want the fourth sheet to automatically add it (whether it's possible to do in date order or not).

How To Automatically Combine Several Worksheets Into One Worksheet

Jun 28, 2008

I need to combine all of the data from the 3 sheets into a single sheet, Sheet4 (Columns A,B,C), eliminating the empty rows.

I've been looking into this for a while, and can't find anything that really helps. Anyone got any pointers of what to look into?

Get Names Of All Worksheets In One Worksheet Without VBScript

Jun 18, 2012

Basically I want to be able to get the names of all sheets in a workbook. I know how to get Excel to print the name of the sheet in a cell once the file is saved, and I know how to hide sheets to make sure that all sheets are referenced in a range. If the name of the worksheet is in the same cell across all sheets (except the ones I don't want included on the totals page), is there a way to call that range and have Excel print off all the worksheet names in different rows or columns via a fill function?

Difficulties: the user may add/delete, rename, and have any number of, worksheets in the workbook. Because these variables are unpredictable, I am having difficulty figuring out the way to do this. Also, the formula should be able to ignore the sheets which have no value in the expected cell.
