The treeview on the left-side panel will populate with different options based on what is chosen from the "category" combo box.
Based on the category chosen, different "troubleshooting steps" will be presented in the Treeview List.
As each selected tree node is mouse clicked...the text values needs to be copied into the adjacent text-box.
My question, what is the code to copy a Treeview item over to a text box?
I have Useform1 & Textbox1 & Textbox2 & CommandButton1
*Textbox1 = Identifier where to put the "X" mark when data is found
*TextBox2 = The User Data 'It is a multiline textbox
*CommandButton1 = Execute the macro
*Excel Column "B3" = Where the textbox2 data will be compared. this one has default data.
*Excel Row 2 = the identifier where to put the "X" mark when the data is found.
The user will enter data in textbox2, For each TextBox2 Value it will be compared in the Data in Column B3 only If the Textbox1 Value found in Row2 which has the codes. Then when the Value is found. it will mark with "X" in the column where the TextBox1 value found. see my screenshot.

I have information in a text box on 1 worksheet. I would like this information to automatically be copied to another worksheet. On the master sheet, if any of the information gets changed or updated, the copied information should get updated as well.

I have a form “RiseSpan” with three TextBoxes, “txtInSpan”, “txtDepth” & txtOutSpan”.
I wish to enter values in “txtInSpan” and “txtDepth”. These values are placed in cells A1 and A2. If both “txtInSpan” and “txtDepth” are greater that zero, I want “txtOutSpan” to show the value of cell C11.

I need some way that can identify when the item in the description column doesnt match the first item of the same number- for example, here the 1-blue and 3-orange would be flagged because they should match the 1-yellow and 3-green.
I need to do this on a much larger scale (approximately 20,000 data points), so I wanted to create a formula or macro that could do this for me.. I thought making a reference page with would work but I keep getting an error.. I haven't done VBA in a while, so I may have syntax errors.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to format some TextBoxes from within a For/Next loop. I need a way to check which TextBox is the active TextBox in the loop. Using i as the variable, I came up with this code snippet: Me.Controls("TB" & i).Text = Format("TB" & i, "mm/dd/yy")
If i = 3, this gives me in TextBox3 (which is called TB3) the text 'TB3' and not the value of what is in TB3. It has got to bo something simple, I just can't see it!!!
I am using a vlookup and have a problem. I am assigning a category to an item number based on the first two characters of the item number. For example item number 60123 would equal scrap because of the first two characters of 60. But the item number can begin with either a number or letter. Here is the formula I am using that works for item numbers that begin with numbers:
=VLOOKUP(VALUE(LEFT(E2,2)),Sheet3!A:B,2,FALSE)
It works fine until I reach a item number that begins with a letter, then I get the dreaded #Value error. If I take the value out of the formula then it works for the letter based number items but not for the number based item numbers.
how I can have the selected item in a dropdownlist also to be shown in another cell? Typing the cell number of the dropdownlist in another cell (f.e. ="dropdownlist cell number)" doesn't seem to do it.

I want to do the following :-
If the date in cell A1 has no date entered i.e blank then fill D1 in Yellow If a date in cell B1 is past then fill Cell D1 Red If a date in cell C1 is entered with a date(any) then fill D1 in Green
Col A contains SS#'s and Col B contains names. Quite often there are duplicates and sometimes triplicates because they may be sending payments for multiple providers. We charge one fee per client (unique SS#), regardless of the number of times they may be on the spreadsheet.
I can get a grand total by summing the unique items by using this formula:
=SUM(IF(LEN(A2:A4970),1/COUNTIF(A2:A4970,A2:A4970)))
and then doing a CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER to put brackets around it so it will "take."
However I now need to show the fee by each unique name. Right now I am inserting Col C, typing in 3.00 into C2 and copying on down, but then have to manually remove the amounts in the rows which contain duplicate ss#. Long painful process. How can I put a formula in Col c so that it will only show fee one time by the first unique ss#?
I have a sheet with several entries. I want to find a way to have the user go to a specific cell instantly. What I thought I'd try was a combobox that when I click on a name in the combobox. It will make the matching name from the list the active cell.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Listbox (Listbox2) in column C. The listbox allows users to select multiple items (in this case it is countries). So the user could select 1 or 20 countries based on the previous criteria.
What I would ideally like is for the next column (column D) to automatically list the selected items without having to use a command button in the actualy cell. However, I could put a command button at the end to say "Confirm" which would then transfer the above into the relevant cells.
This is an excel file, and each row would works the same. Basically users are entering products for set up row by row, so the file could be 10 rows or 200.
Just to be clear, it would look a little like this:

how to code the following?
I need to remove an item from a list, find its match in column "A", remove the matching cell and then shift the remainder of the column up to remove the empty cell.
If this helps, there are 5 different sheet names, and I'm working with range A4:Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row for the items in the list.
To make it as simple as I can:

One sheet actually needs it to do the same removal to identical rows in column B as well (i.e. remove A10 and B10, or A45 and B45, etc.)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a big spreadsheet that has 30 columns. The data is downloaded from an SQL database from time to time. The row identifying data ( the record number/key ) is in the left most cell. I often have to move over 10 to 20 columns to view some other data in the same row. I can do this by selecting the preset Excel row number which higlights the whole row and then use the lower slider bar to go to the correct column to view the data.
However if I wish to select an item of data ( or update a particular cell ) then I loose the highlighting for that row and I can "loose" which row I am on. ( maybe I'm stupid but it does happen ) Can I use Conditional formatting to highlight a row whenever I alight on any data in that row and it sttays highlighted until I select another value on another row?
Is it possible to search a worksheet that may contain different number of rows (from day to day) and for every instance of a word like "HOLD" is found in column "C" to Color that intire Row Red and also Bold the Row as well?

I have a drop down list (Category: Model) in the search box as well as a search field (Category: Program, cell D2). Underneath the search box, search rows are returned with column categories: Program, Model, etc.
What I require is that if a user enters the specific program into the search field D2, then the dropdown list would automatically choose which model that program belongs to based on the returned row.
For example, if I typed "engine" into D2 and pressed enter,
Under the records section (Row 14 and beyond), the following record will pop up:
Program
Model
Indicators
Engine
F-16

Based on the record, F-16 would be chosen from the dropdown list. Is there any way this can be done?
I am using Vlookup to compare our item number with the suppliers item number but the result is removing the decimal point on some but not all items.I have included a small sample but it concerns almost 10.000 items.

My difficulty is that when the text is copied to the cell at the end of each line of text there is a small 'open square' symbol that I would prefer not to show. I can manually delete the symbol but would like it either not to appear of be able to automatically delete it. If I copy the text to a word file the symbols do not appear.
