Loop To Store Data From A Range

I am trying to do is use a loop to store data from a range into a 3 or 4 dimensional Array and then output the data from the Array in another range. so for example the i want loop through the data in this range and store all data that is in account 701 into an array and then output this information in another range (tab). The data would have several different account but I only want to see one at a time.

Account Price Amount 701 150 1,000,000 701 125 250,000,000 701 3.25 6,000,000 702 4.25 25,000,000 702 2.35 3,600,000 702 2.55 10,000,000

Store Row Number Within Loop And Delete All Stored Rows After Loop?

I have working code that returns a row number within a for loop based on parameters I set.

Each time the for loop runs I would like to store this row number, then after the loop has finished, delete all stored rows.

Code:
for rowNum = 1 to x (some variable end row number which I already have worked out using End(xlUp).Row)
if x = y then
*storedRow = rowNum
end if
next rowNum
*

Lines with a * are the bits I can't work out. I've been trying to understand arrays by reading posts on what other people have done, but I can't fit (or fully understand) the reDims, or reDim preserves into my code. I've seen what appear to be quite complex ways involving uBounds and LBounds, but unfortunately I can't see how to use them.

All I want is to simply keep adding a row numbers to a variable, (i.e. row 2, 5, 20, 33, 120, etc) and then delete those specific rows.

In Loop Store Cell Address For Later Use

What I am trying to do is during a loop operation, which subtotals variable ranges, I want to store the locations of the cells that it puts the sum function into. I.E. if based on criteria it determines that range E4:E12 is summed into E13, I need to save E13 to use in a formula once I'm out of the loop. I don't know how many instances it will find and there's the possibility in the future that not only will the number of instances increase, but the location could always be different as well. Any way to do this without a million lines of code.

Loop And Find Text In Active Cell Then Store To Array

I am trying to loop through column A and I want to store in an array where I find "App" within the cell value. I am trying to find "App" but will store the whole cell value in the array. I could not figure out the Find method, so I tried the MID function but am having no luck.

I have code which is convert some range of excel to Png and store to my local drive. This code is working fine.

I have created web site on my intranet and the data store on server, now i use this code and pickup image from my local storage i.e. from "C" Drive and paste in to service folder, bcoz i uploaded report as a Image and it timely refreshed and changed

Is there any way so this code directly store to service folder, if i can use IP address or HTTP path

I had tried with HTTP path but it is not working.

My server path is [URL] .......

Is there any way when local folder got image than automatically server folder also get same image...

I can't quite seem to figure out the syntax for pulling a Range variable out of an array of type variant. I always seem to receive the error message "Object variable or With block not set", an example of my code as follows:

Next

I have also tried:

Set currentRange = myArray(i)

Which results in the error "Object required". What is the correct syntax?

are great, but what if there are more than 2???

i.e. I have a column containing values L01 to L20.

My column is filtered on L05, L06 and L07 (or some other combination).

Formula / Function To Collect Data From Multiple Sheets And Store Data In One Sheet?

- I have total of 13 sheets in a workbook - 12 sheets represent 12 months with data; 13th sheet is single sheet in which i would like to get complete overview of 12 months

- each of 12 sheets has actually sales results for multiple products with following data: internal code, manufacturer part number, name, and qty sold in that month

- situation is that some products have been phased out during the year and some were introduced so each sheet is slightly different in terms of in which row certain product is located

What i would like to achive is to make 13th sheet (whole year overview) do the following:
- there is a list of all the products in it, each product has unique internal code - this code (from each line) should be used to find that code in each monthly sheet, then find its monthly sales value (copy it) and paste it in sheet 13 in cell that represents this product and particular month.

In other words i would like to see for each product what was monthly sales throughout this year, but avoid manually filling in qty for each product per month.

Any Way To Store Pairs Of Data

I want to store a list of strings in an array with their position so that I can sort them alphabetically and then be able to put them back in their original order again e.g.

John 1
Charlie 2
Paul 3
Andy 4
etc,

So when they are alphabetized (is that a word?) they become

Andy 4
Charlie 2
John 1
Paul 3

My plan was to store them in an array, but I can't think how to do it. In python, I would just make a list of tuples, what is the best way to do this in VBA?

Store Data Daily

I have a two rows of data one containing names and the other containing corresponding numbers. The names are static and the numbers change on a daily basis. I want to be able to copy the numbers to a static table next to each name on a daily basis (so I can see what the value was a few weeks ago).

Is there anything I can write to do this job?

My thinking was to set a vlookup to grab the data but i'm not sure how this would work because the vlookup would change daily when the numbers change

If i use advance filter>copy to another location, the system is not allowing to select different sheet.

is ther any way that If I run the macro, the data is filterd by Store names and the same data should be pasted in a different sheet with the store name. that is all the data related to Store1 should be pasted in Store1 Sheet.

I have a range of letter values. The values vary between A, a, and B. I have a "For Each" loop that doesn't do what I'd like. The way it's written, I'd think it'd delete every column that doesn't contain the letter "A".

Sum Of Range + Loop

I have percentages in each row. Let's say from A4 to Z4. Each cell can be 20% at maximum In Visual Basic I want to write a macro that sums the cells up. So when the sum is less than 100% I want to distribute the remainder among the cells that are below 20%. I want to do this until the total is 100%. So the new percentages have to be entered in the appropriate cells.

How can I do this? I need some sort of loop but I can't get anything to work. With a 'for each cell' statement I always get Value#.

Loop Through A Range From Bottom To Top

I tend to use a lot of For Each loops when I want to go through a range looking for something but this time I'm not so sure it will work.

I have 9 databases each containing over 400 rows with different pieces of client information, these databases are shared between around 40 people (I've also used the 'Allow users to edit ranges' utility to restrict access). What this means however is that the users cannot delete an entire row, instead they can only 'clear contents' on individual cells. This is fine until I try to generate statistics from the databases using autofilters which stop at the first blank row.

So I need to write a backwards for each statement that starts at the bottom and deletes all the blank rows on the way up to the top. I've tried similar things to this before using the For Each but when you use it to delete a row it sometimes skips the next row as it continues at the next one.

I've not managed to get it to work before, I'm just looking for a little guidance really as to how to do this correctly.

Sum A Dynamic Range Within A For Loop?

I am working with loans, and I'm trying to program a routine that adds every installment a client owes, so I can know the total amount owed, depending on how many unpaid installments she has. Let say for a client I have every installment in column A (rows 1 to 5), and in column B, I want to add them all. The output should be

Cell B1: "sum(A1:A5)"
Cell B2: "sum(A2:A5)"
Cell B3: "sum(A3:A5)"... and so forth

Since I have many loans, I need a dinamic routine to that sums every installment, where amount of installments vary from client to client. My proposal is (adding from the last installment to the first one):

VB:
months = 4 'an example
For j = 0 To months - 1
initial_row = ActiveCell.Row 'because I run this several times. In this example I am in row 18[code]....

For some reason this is not working, and what I see in Excel after running it is: SUM('AJ18':'AJ18'), which doesn't work.

This little piece of code is where I'm having problems.

A36:A45 will always be the same.

The problem is in getting ("R2:AA2") to move to ("R3:AA3") ...

What needs to happen for the loop to work?
