View 14 Repliesmy macro is set up to do the following in my book once the user inputs a row of information. the user will go to the opproperate sheet based customer and input all info.
the macro is run (ctrl+z)
the macro takes the last row in the active sheet, and pastes it into the last row of the "ALL" sheet. then it goes and sorts the sheet in order.
i want to adjust it so that the user will input the row of information into the last row of in the "ALL" sheet. then based on the given informaiton, paste the same row in both the corresponding customer and location sheets.
im assuming im going to need to use some variables?
attached is the test spreadsheet.
I have two sheets, the first is "Form" & the second is "Tracking". The "Form" sheet contains one button that, when clicked, brings up a userform. The userform has 11 checkboxes & two buttons ("View Next" & "View Previous"). The "Tracking" sheet has 11 columns (A - K), which will contain either "True" or "False".
I need the checkboxes in the userform to pull the values from the "Tracking" sheet. For example, the "Tracking" sheet has the following information listed: ....
I have written this code and so far all works accept for this bit where I want to add the required data to cells 3,2....nothing happens, no errors, it just doesn't do anything.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim wbo As Workbook
Dim wbn As Workbook
Dim wso As Worksheet
Dim wsn As Worksheet
[Code]....
I created a userform with 3 textboxes and 1 combobox. I want the user to be able to open the userform, fill it, save the information on a worksheet and email the userform information according to the combobox information. I've managed to do the email part. It's working great. The saving to the sheet part I just can't figure it out. I would like to textbox1 info in column A row 2, textbox 2 in column B row 2 and Textbox 3 in column C row 2 and comboboix info in column D row 2 . After, if the user opens the userform again, I want the same thing to happen but instead of row 2, row 3 and so on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have to worksheets, the first is filled out and at the end Ive place a button that I would like to open the second sheet and fill in cells that have duplicate info from the first, so just copy & paste but kind of automated for speed.
I have only got as far as opening the second document with the macro, after that im stuck!
The Info I would like to be copied across from the "service Diary" to the "Service Report" would be As follows:
*CUSTOMER
*CONTACT
*MACHINE TYPE
*SERIAL NUMBER
*QUOTE NUMBER
*ORDER NUMBER
When a user selects Yes from a drop down list in a particular cell a UserForm pops up to request further information.
How can I pass this information to the cells to the right of the "Yes" cell.
E.G. Cell H6 contains Yes, the UserForm info is to be passed to I6 and J6.
This needs to happen on each row everytime the user selects "Yes" -
Yes in H7, Userform info to I7 and J7 etc etc.
What the Macro has to do is this.
It takes an specific word from a certain number of files that you can choose from an add file window.
Then when you choose those files the macro starts to run every file and look for an specific word, in this case is "ROFO March 2013".
When it finds it, The macro creates a new workbook( You create the name of that workbook y the first place of the macro, when you choose the files that you want to look for that word).
So, When the macro finds the word ROFO March 2013, it copys all the columns that has that name, and keeps looking until the file ends.
And paste all that info in the new file, A consolidate File.
I have change all the names of variables of the macro so you can understand it.
Code:
Sub copy_data(ByVal Origin_File_route As String, ByVal destiny file As String)
Dim Origin_File As String, RsBusq As Range, ROFO As String
Dim Rango As Range, Fila As Long, lastrow as Long
origin_file = Dir(origin_file_route)
[Code] .......
I have a table like this:
1/2/14
2345
1/6/14
34665
1/7/14
5473457
For Column A-I would like to create a macro that will copy the info from cell A1 and paste in in A2. This will continue all the way to the last row containing info which will vary. So after the first copy/paste, it well go to A3 and copy paste onto A4, A5 will copy and paste onto A6 etc.
For Column B- The same only it will copy the contents of B2 and paste it on B1, B4 copy/paste to B3 all the way until the last row of data.
I'm using excel 2003. I would like to select and copy rows of data within a worksheet of a workbook and then paste those rows into a newly created excel workbook. That is the easy part. The complication is that I would like the macro to select the rows based on a particular string value that will be impossible to specify in a fixed way (i.e., it will change from project to project). Let's say the variable that distinguishes the rows is location, so some are from Tokyo, some New York, and some from Paris. Using vba, how can one 'splice' the data into (in this case, three) seperate workbooks based on the string/values of another variable?
I am familiar with auto-filter, but in this case, I really do need to create seperate workbooks, rather than apply calculations to a selection of the data.
I have been trying for months to get this to work by altering code from similar requests I've hunted down on google to no avail.
I am looking to have a "Master" sheet that is populated by data from 30+ individual excel workbooks. Each workbook is contained on a server in a directory "O:JobsJobs In Progress." In that directory are subfolders (named in sequence "C12000 Job1", "C12001 Job2", etc) which contain the actual workbook (Named according to number ie. "C12000 Jobinfo").
I would like this "Master" to automatically pull specific values from each C1200* workbook and paste them in a designated cell so that I can quickly look at specific information contained in each workbook. Each C1200* workbook is constructed the same way.
Short Example of C1200* workbook in which data will be pulled from:
Job Number
C12000
PM
Abe Lincoln
Foreman
Thomas Edison
Contract Date
1/1/10
Everyday system generates a notepad with the information.. from the notepad i ve to copy paste the info to the excel manually.
Can a code be written where (after downloading information to the excel from the notepad) it automatically fill the information in the excel.
For your reference i ve attached both notepad and excel with dummy datas.
(how i do manually)
I have some existing code which I did not write, nor do I have the expertise to update. The macro code takes multi rows of data for one person and "flips" the output to be one record per person with columns of data.
The source data looks like this sorted by teacher, Term and Period (columns H and I are the new ones added; the code currently looks through column G only)A
Faculty Name
B
Periodc
C
[Code]......
I just want to add column H and I data to the period course listings by term. So instead of "Term: TM#", just have the display indicate Termcode: Tally/SectSize.... such as (example): "TM1: 20/30"
My Code is as follows:
Option Explicit
Dim wsSource As Worksheet
Dim wsTarget As Worksheet
[Code].....
I would like to fill in a a form on page /sheet one and have the same info on every sheet that follows is it possible?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have attached a spreadsheet and I am trying to capture the info in lines 2,7,12,17 and return the info into column d,e,f,g
The info in these columns at present has been manually entered but I am sure it could be automated.
OOL Roster Final 18-31Aug14.xlsx
I've tried to change the line highlighted in red to 'Sheets("Financial Accounts").Pastespecial After:=Sheets("changes")' but the macro crashes.
Sub ConsolidatedTotals()
Dim BeforeSheetName, NextPageName As String
BeforeSheetName = "changes"
NextPageName = "Financial Accounts - " & Worksheets("assumptions").Range("c3")
Worksheets(ActiveSheet.Name).Select
Sheets("Financial Accounts").Copy After:=Sheets("changes")
ActiveSheet.Name = NextPageName
End Sub
When I run the userform initialize procedure to reset the values in text boxes and the like instead of resetting like it should, now it closes the userform completely and then won't allow me to show it again, what could be the problem?
Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
Me.MultiPage1.Value = 0
TextBox3.Value = ActiveWorkbook. Sheets("Sales Invoice"). Range("G15").Value
Dim hWndForm As Long
Dim hMenu As Long
hWndForm = FindWindow("ThunderDFrame", Me.Caption) 'XL2000
hMenu = GetSystemMenu(hWndForm, 0)
DeleteMenu hMenu, SC_CLOSE, 0&
End Sub
The Dim stuff down is to gray out the x button, there are also some module level declarations to go with that...
Private Declare Function FindWindow Lib "user32" Alias "FindWindowA" (ByVal lpClassName As String, ByVal lpWindowName As String) As Long
Private Declare Function GetSystemMenu Lib "user32" (ByVal hWnd As Long, ByVal bRevert As Long) As Long
Private Declare Function DeleteMenu Lib "user32" (ByVal hMenu As Long, ByVal nPosition As Long, ByVal wFlags As Long) As Long
Private Const SC_CLOSE As Long = &HF060
the userform shows when the workbook opens and is then hidden when the user has finished entering values, then when the user goes through the process of being asked to print and save, they are then asked if they would like to create a new record, if yes then it shows the userform again, but the userform is still filled with all the stuff previously entered. I tried using the unload me instead of hiding and that wouldn't work at all, didn't give errors just didn't show the userform either, this at least shows the userform, but now when the user goes to clear the information by initializing the userform again, it simply closes the userform and then it can't be shown again either.

This is the link to the ZIP, and here are some instructions for setting it up to work.
The contents of this need to be unzipped into a folder called SyntheticShield that is placed in the C: drive that way all paths begin with C:SyntheticShield and then the other folders or files will be referenced correctly. The template I'm having problems with is the SyntheticShieldInvoiceMaker template, when you open it you'll be prompted whether you want to create a new invoice, number is final blah blah blah, say yes, then it will ask if you are importing from the Quotemaker which you aren't say no, it should then show the userform as it should. Then you can go through that process and by pressing either the create invoice or go to template directly whatever, you can hide the userform. Then you press the command button (red) a userform is brought up asking if you'd like to save without emailing, save with emailing or close controls, as for right now, I'm just getting the save without emailing to work the rest is all the same just a few tidbits of code. So click save without emailing, it should then prompt an are you sure message box, click yes it will do some things, then it will ask if you want to print, click no, then it will ask do you want to create a new invoice, click yes, this should then start the process all over again by calling the workbook_open procedure, however, when you go through everything, and click no to the import from quotemaker part it won't show the userform. And at one point it would, but then I couldn't initialize the userform without it disappearing and not being allowed to be shown...I tried putting a command button on the template to show the userform, but it wouldn't do it either.
I got this code the other day
Private Sub CommandButton11_Click()
Sheets("Invoice Page").Select
Rm = 3
For c = 1 To 5
Rm = Application.WorksheetFunction.Max( Cells(1000, c).End(xlUp).Row, Rm)
Next c
Range(Cells(3, 1), Cells(Rm, 5)).Select
Selection.Copy
Sheets(" Records Page").Select
c = Cells(3, 256).End(xlToLeft).Column + 2
Cells(3, c).Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
Application.CutCopyMode = False
End Sub
And instead of pasting the cells i want it to paste speical so it just pastes values rather than formulas.
I have a workbook with a Cost Analysis sheet, a master menu sheet, and then all the sub sheets. I have coded command buttons on the master sheet, so once a category is selected, it goes to the appropriate sub sheet. On the subsheet is a list of items of varying sizes, and command buttons beside that which will allow the user to "Select" that particular size. Once the size is selected, the verbage in cell B5 plus the verbage (size) beside the selected amount, and the prices (labor and materials) in the next two columns, need to be transferred to the first available blank line, starting with line C5, to the Cost Analysis sheet. I have never done coding before for a Loop (i.e. For i = ???) and am not sure how to get it to do what I want. After they select that, they can pick a command button that takes them back to the master menu so they can continue picking various items until they are through. Then the Cost Analysis sheet will show all the items they picked, (name of item, material cost and labor cost: Columns B, C, & D). Not everything is coded yet (such as selecting a command button to go back to the main menu, because I wanted to make sure I could solve this problem before doing the easy stuff).
I read over quite a few of the previous threads and am not sure how to change them to suit my circumstance. I know some code (VB), but not much. I do not understand the concept of DIM, and how the loop works to make it happen myself, and all the websites I could find were not suited to my situation of copying three cells of data to the first blank cell on another sheet.
I have a list box that I'm using to pull customer information from my "Customer" sheet to my "Invoice" sheet. I can actually open, select, and close the userform. However, I can't get the macro to put the information into the specified location on my "Invoice" sheet.
Here's my code so far:
Private Sub Cancel_Click()
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Unload Me
End Sub
Private Sub customer_Change()
End Sub
Here is the "Customer" sheet I'm pulling the info from:
And here is the location on the "Invoice" sheet that I'm trying to direct the userform to:
And here's my userform just for reference:
The userform works perfectly until I press the OK button. That's when I get the error.
I've created a userform with a text box and a command button (Enter)
On clicking the command button I'd like whatever text has been entered into the userform to be put into a cell (Say A1).
I have a userform that I use to add a new record to a csv sheet.
In my workbook I have a table with the same format that my userForm has. What I am looking to do is copy the values from my lookup table on my sample sheet and past them in my add userform in the correct corresponding cells. I have been trying to make the code work for some time now with no luck.

I am using a macro that copied a string from another app, and I would like to know if there is a way to remove the sign "_" (underscore) before it paste to the TextBox1?
I declare the textbox as : TextBox1.Value = DATA
When the macro run, it takes the info from the app and send the string DATA to the TextBox1.Value, however there is ugly _ from the data. I want to be able to remove that sign right after it paste into the TextBox1.
I have created a userform thats extracts data from a worksheet, pace a command button on the form that will send the info in textboxes to a word document.
I did attempt this but even reading how didn't make sense. I have placed book marks on my doc (RTWdoc) ready. bookmarks are named textbox1, textbox2, etc, for ease of reference so they match textboxes on userform1.
word.doc and workbook are in same folder.
I have a "txtQuoteNo" box used in my userform "FrmQuotation", and this is recorded in column A of my Central Data spreadsheet (with a fair slug of other data from the userform).
I can currently recall the data into the userform from the spreadsheet using the QuoteNo, but when I need to resubmit it back to the spreadsheet, I can't see why the following code posts this new data onto a new line rather than the blank cells in the corresponding row of txtQuoteNo and column A (if you see what I mean...)
Set wb = Workbooks.Open("M:Central Taxi Data.xlsx")
With Sheets("Data").Range("A:A")
Set cell = .Find(myVal, LookIn:=xlValues)
rw = cell.Row
End With
RowCount = Worksheets("Data").Range("A" & rw).CurrentRegion.Rows.Count

I'm trying to make a command button copy the text from a text box on a multipage control to the active cell in the sheet. I have been able to make it paste the text once it is manually selected and copied to the clipboard but that is all. I've tried recording a macro but that doesn't seem to work in the userform. I need it to copy the text from the active multipage tab (from a textbox) and paste into the sheet's active cell.
I am finishing a travel per diem form and I want to implement a user form where the current rates could be entered by the user and update specific cells used as my drop down list values. I have made the form and a box that activates it. I just can't write the code to place the inputted data from the form into specific cells on a sheet so the list boxes will have the current rates to choose from. I can only find information to have the data populate the next blank row of a table.
