Ok I have a form where our employees enter in some info and press the add button. I want this add button to take the data entered and transfer it to a database. Each time the button is pressed it needs to drop a row and add the new information entered.
We have a club membership database in Excel 2003. Unfortunately too many people can change it and we sometime use an old version for a mailout when there is a later version around. We have no easy, foolproof way of establishing which is the latest version.
Is there a way that a cell in the database can automatically have the date & time it was last changed (NOT last time it was read - Windows does that). Also a user name. Failing that, is it possible to detect when anything has changed & when you try to close the file it requests a date & user which have to be entered before it closes ( this relies on the user putting in valid info but at least it's a start). Ideally when you re-open the file it should say in A1, A2 - last changed .... by .....
I would like to add a Command Button that will remove a row from a database. The user will perform a search, which will find the row associated with an employee name, and click a Command Button to remove that row. How can this be done, and are there any issues that might arise from something like this (in terms of formulas)?
I have an assignment for work where I am required to create a button within an excel sheet that will submit any text in a cell which in this case would be "A9" to a database to a certain field. I must create this using visual basic.
I have a column ("R") which contains prices. What I'm looking to do is have a form control button that either hides that column, or better still just turn the font white (invisible)on the press of the button, then with another press turn the font back to black (visible) or do I require 2 buttons to carry out this function. I don't wish to have the column formatted in anyway after the changes, simply 1 press turns the font white and either another press (or another button) turns the column back to the exact same state (no formulas present) as it was.
I have several files with form control buttons that automate functions but, on occasion, they get smaller relative to the worksheet they're in. At some point, they become unuasable unless they're manually resized.
I have a rather large sheet with lots of embedded form control buttons, each one with a document link. Is there a function (no VBA) to search for a specific form control button in excel? for example: i want to find the form control button which is linked to the "application" document.
I have added a button to asign a macro to but for the life of me cant see how to "activate" the button. I am trying to click the button to make the macro run but it keeps selecting the button like it wont come out of design view.
I have made an excel sheet for multiple choice questions, in which person needs to click on submit button after completing with the test & pop up will say "Your score is__". Now, I want to want to add one more button named "Reset". I want below :

1. Person should not be able to make any changes after clicking on "Submit" button.
2. If one tries to click on "Reset" button, it should ask for password.

I have created several macros where i use an active-X control button. This button is pressed and the macro begins...........but every now and again this button changes size for no apparent reason.
I have read countless articles/posts about what "may" be causing the problem but i have never read anything which clearly identifies the soln to this problem and the problem has been out there for years. To make matters worse the problem can not be duplicated on any regular frequency that i am aware of............so its not like i can post a file that will show the problem.............
In tab Sheet1 there is Commandbuttons named "Sheet2" & "Sheet3". If i press "Sheet2" then i will be directed to sheet2 tab, same as "Sheet3". In tab Sheet2 & Sheet3 there is commandbutton "Sheet1", if i press the button then i will be directed to default tab which is sheet1.
Is it possible to configure the workbook so the user can view the data in the worksheet from the form and I can hide the actual worksheet so that the data in the workshhet cannot be changed? Or maybe there is a better way all together??

Second, Is there a better way to input a code that would allow a search for duplicates in certain fields to be flagged (other than the color coding?)
I Have a sheet with 4 activex comboboxes and 3 text boxes. If the right item is selected in the second combo box a user form opens up. That has 4 text boxes. It has a command button titled ok that takes the information from the 4 text boxes and puts them in a sheet called data.

Everything copies over except an Activex Control button. I also have form control buttons with macros assigned to them, and they copy & paste just fine. The code assigned to the ActiveX button also copy's & paste's just fine...but the button itself does not.
I have created simple buttons on my spreadsheet to do most everything that is needed, except to display a "Help" file. The "Help" file can be a pdf document or any other document format that will work. I don't think I need any user forms or ActiveX controls. But, then again, I am a relative newbie to VB. Is there a simple way to have a button control on an Excel spreadsheet open and display a pdf file or other document? Or is there a better way to do what I'd like?
So I have a sheet with a lot of formulas and form control buttons that have been assigned macros.
When I go to protect certain cells and lock them and the activate sheet protection, suddenly my form control buttons with the assigned macros don't work.
I still need to protect some cells with formulas and don't want to leave the whole worksheet unprotected, but in order to allow the form control button macros to run, it appears that's what I have to do....or, is there another way to do this?
Can Active-X control button macro be placed in a regular module, or does it always have to reside in the sheet module? Or is the only way to accomplish this is to have the macro in the regular module being called from the button macro in the sheet module?
I somehow seem to remember a way to move/assign an Active-X ControlButton macro to a regular module, but maybe I'm wrong?

is it possible to choose an option button which will then perform a calculation on a cell reference? I’m trying to deduct a percentage from a total when an option button is highlighted.
Instead of having the goals and objectives already in the form I would like to have buttons that would allow my clinicians to add as many goals and objectives as they'd like to the attached treatment plan. I'd like them to be able to click a delete button as well when they review the plan and need to delete a goal that's been met. When my team clicks into the second worksheet they would see rows 10-16 (below). They would then type a STG 1 and an Obj A. They then would click the Add Obj button and add as many objectives that they needed. Then when they clicked the add goal button a blank copy of rows 10-16 (including the Add Obj button) would pasted one row down and would update to read STG 2. Neither of these buttons would appear when the document printed.

I have never written or used a macro before and I have a simple macro task to complete:
I have Column L (L4:L10) of seven scroll bars that move according to number changes in column F (F4:F10). I want to create a form control command button that resets the changes on the scroll bars according to static column of numbers in Column E (E4:E10).
I don't know if it matters, but I'll add that I plan to add a second button that does the same thing with a different column of data. I assume I'll simply replicate whatever procedure I use in the first button - is this okay?
