Ok Button To Control Comboboxes In Userform And Sheet

I Have a sheet with 4 activex comboboxes and 3 text boxes. If the right item is selected in the second combo box a user form opens up. That has 4 text boxes. It has a command button titled ok that takes the information from the 4 text boxes and puts them in a sheet called data.

This is weird - if you delete a sheet that contained a control then

a. showing a modeless userform resluts in a userofrm that goes invisible at subroutine End
b. public variables lose their value

These things do not happen if the sheet did not contain a control. Attached is an example file - put the inputfile.xls in your default file location (or add a path in the code) then open the ProblemDemo.xls and run the main macro to see it fal - isthis another Excelbug I've found?

Command Button Control Of Sheet Selection

I would like to know how to configure buttons:

In tab Sheet1 there is Commandbuttons named "Sheet2" & "Sheet3". If i press "Sheet2" then i will be directed to sheet2 tab, same as "Sheet3". In tab Sheet2 & Sheet3 there is commandbutton "Sheet1", if i press the button then i will be directed to default tab which is sheet1.

I've a worksheet, which has formulas, links, combo list box and format control.

I've made a user form to enter the data, so that the particular cells in the worksheet is filled and the remaining cells are calculated as per the formula.The format control (combo box) has list of range.

Is it possible to bring this format control (combo box) on the user form, so that without going to the sheet, I Can control the sheet by selecting the combo box values.

Two Comboboxes On A Userform

I have two comboboxes on a userform, they both get there list from the same formula. What I am trying to do is have the second combobox have it's selection preset based on the selection in combobox 1.

ie
Combobox1 = 6:00 AM
when you click on the dropdown for combobox2 i would like 6:00 AM to be the first selection possible, but I dont want it displayed in the box unless it is selected.

I have a userform that has a text box. If user puts a number in it and click on proceed the userform must expand and display that many comboboxes. for e.g. if user inputs 8 and then click on proceed then there should be 8 comboboxes on the form. Is it possible to do?

Multiple Comboboxes In A Userform

I have a worksheet "Master Log" with a UserForm "UserForm2" set up that has 4 comboboxes and 2 text entries. I already have the filtered unique values for each combobox sent to columns "O" thru "R" and they are dynamic ranges. I have the code to populate one of the comboboxes in the userform but cant figure out how to modify the code to have all four populated without getting ambiguous entry errors. And also, do I have to initiate the form for each combobox? Below is the code Im using for a single combobox.

Let's say I have Sheet1-Sheet6. I also have combobox1 (with item 1, 2, & 3 as the list items) & combobox 2 (with items 1 & 2 as the list items).

If combobox1 = 1 & combobox2 = 1 then hide Sheets 2,3,4,5,6
if combobox1 = 1 & combobox2 = 2 then hide Sheets 1,2,4,5,6
If combobox1 = 1 & combobox2 = 3 then hide sheets 1,2,3,4,6
If combobox1 = 2 & combobox2 = 1 then hide sheets 1,3,4,5,6
If combobox1 = 2 & combobox2 = 2 then hide sheets 1,2,3,5,6
If combobox1 = 2 & combobox2 = 3 then hide sheets 1,2,3,4,5

I would like to also make both of these combo boxes required fields and to default text to say 'Select One...'

Unusual Crashing Due To Userform Or Comboboxes

The spreadsheet is essentially a VBA GUI that validates information entered before writing it to a sheet in the workbook. There is a button on the first sheet that opens the GUI, and when the workbook is first used the GUI opens and runs fine. After adding a few rows using the GUI, saving the workbook, and then reopening it, attempting to open the GUI by clicking on the button will cause Excel to crash (and no errors are given). To compound the problem, it is not possible to find the issue by using the debugger, as the GUI runs fine as soon as VisualBasic is opened. I've tried to narrow it down by using MsgBoxes to find the approximate location where the form crashes, and it seems to happen when the .ListIndex property of a ComboBox is set inside the UserForm_Initialise method. I've played around for days trying to narrow it down further, removing .ListIndex statements as much as possible without breaking the entire thing.

Why is the below code not valid? I am using a userform with a cancel button and i cant it to copy and paste some lines on sheet Chart_Data as it unloads. But i just get the error

This example workbook contains a datatable, which is inputted via a userform. The datatable has 4 columns: Date, Invoice no., Loads, Tonnage. This table is dynamic, as a new row gets entered each time data is entered in the userform. A different userform (the one in the example) has comboboxes which refer to the data in the table. This userform asks the user for the Date, Invoice no., Loads and Tonnage. I want to use comboboxes so that they will advise the input based on the users previous input.

The first combobox asks the user for a data, and should contain a list of all the unique dates that are stored in the table. When the first combobox is inputted, the list for the second combobox will change. The list of the second combobox should be a list of unique invoice numbers, based on the date that has already been entered. The 3rd and the 4th combobox should also show a list of unique values, based on the previously entered date and invoice no.

Example: The first combobox should advise the dates: 4-Nov-14 and 15-Nov-14. User chooses 4-Nov --> second combobox should advise unique invoice numbers based on chosen date: 1252 and 1311. User chooses 1152 --> 3rd combobox should advise unique values based on previous values: 3, 8 and 7. 4th combobox: 57, 23 and 47.

I have 2 comboboxes in the complett worksheets. By selecting some values in this comboboxes, I need some code that will copy automatically some data from worksheets a and b, to worksheet export.

For example if I select "a" and "A26" in the comboboxes, I need range E26:B26( 4 col to the right of A26) from "a" worksheet, to be copied with Paste Special /Values/ Transpose into "export" worksheet in range A1:A50. Also I need in range A51 from worksheet "export" the value "A26" selected in the second combobox. Also in range A52 from worksheet "export" the value from range H40 from "complett" worksheet.

Referencing Userform Control From Another Userform / Class Via Variable

I have several non-modal userforms in my App, some of them have date-fields that require manual entry typing of dd/mm/yy etc (No single userform has more than one date-box in it, this I think may be pivotally useful)

Now the Userform 'Calendar' that is built on the class of the same (cCalendar) name, has the write value line 'ActiveCell.value = theCal.value'

I'm looking to change this to refer to the correct userform.Textbox value, depending on which form is open.

I would imagine I could simply have a global string, whose value is set (or re-set) whenever a Userform is initialized (some sort of 'ActiveUF.value = Me.Name), where I get lost is referring to the components by name, so as to have a case statement by where I go:

Every time I have to do this particular thing with userforms, I completely forget how, and the object browser always leads me on an infinite loop of Application.vbe.activevbproject.vbcomponents.vbe.active....

PS - there may be one slight complication to the process - one of the forms, has a 2-tab page in it, each page having similar (but named differently) fields. So I may need to be able to throw in 'Activepage' or whatnot

2 Cascading Comboboxes, Works Only When On Sheet With The Data

I just started using vb two days ago so the problem is probably from the code. I created a userform with 2 comboboxes and 10 textboxes, when i choose an item from the first combobox it filters out the result from the second combobox.

And when i choose an item from the 2nd combobox it shows certain textboxes corresponding to that item. Everything works fine if i run the userform while on the sheet i pull the data off of (Devices sheet), but if i try it on another sheet then the comboboxes don't work anymore.

Another question i had is if there is simpler way to view the textboxes rather than the one i used in my code. And if there's a way to autoarrange the textboxes when i they are visible so that they all are in the same row.

I have a column ("R") which contains prices. What I'm looking to do is have a form control button that either hides that column, or better still just turn the font white (invisible)on the press of the button, then with another press turn the font back to black (visible) or do I require 2 buttons to carry out this function. I don't wish to have the column formatted in anyway after the changes, simply 1 press turns the font white and either another press (or another button) turns the column back to the exact same state (no formulas present) as it was.

ActiveX Control Button Changes Size For No Reason

I have created several macros where i use an active-X control button. This button is pressed and the macro begins...........but every now and again this button changes size for no apparent reason.

I have read countless articles/posts about what "may" be causing the problem but i have never read anything which clearly identifies the soln to this problem and the problem has been out there for years. Is it possible to configure the workbook so the user can view the data in the worksheet from the form and I can hide the actual worksheet so that the data in the workshhet cannot be changed? Or maybe there is a better way all together??

Second, Is there a better way to input a code that would allow a search for duplicates in certain fields to be flagged (other than the color coding?)
