My problem is when i get a product that isnt in the reference sheets (ie. in cell I19), so when that happens i get "#N/A". I know i can add in ISERROR into my formula, but every time i've tried this it hasn't worked so im missing something...

You will probably find this very easy but I am having all sorts of trouble making it work as I want to! Basically I need to do the following procedure...

1) Open an Inputbox to collect an eight digit number
2) Insert a column in A:A
3) In A1, enter a col header (URN)
4) In A2, enter the number that was collected in the inputbox
5) Enter sequential number from A2+1 to the last row

Ideally, this would be randomised, so after stage 2 do RAND(), sort, and clear contents, but if I can get the main part right I'm sure I can work that out!

I need to calculate ratings 1-5 of questions on client surveys received.

I have recurring sets of data, A1:E1, a number 1-5 is to be entered into one of the cells within this range. This same pattern is repeated 25 times....G1:L1, etc. At the end I need to total all the 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. Then I need to calculate an overall pct for each question based on the totals for that question, divided by the maximum score (5) multiplied by the total surveys received. The problem I am having is that my formula below is counting empty cells, and not giving me a proper pct.

I currently use the following formula using IF and ISERROR i.e.

What I’m after is to add an addition condition e.g. using “IF(O12-(O12/100*80)<S12” and “IF(O12-(O12/100*90)<S12” which would display either Warning 20% or less Cover Remains! or Warning 10% or less Cover Remains! incorporating ISERROR to avoid #N/A

can Excel do a double if formula by looking at cells and not fixed type info.

EG: I have a % achieved and \$ bonus to pay: however the % achieved & the \$ bonus to pay information in the cell will change each month

So... I want the formula to say
=IF (look for cell A1 (which has %achieved) and if found use A2 (\$bonus) to give me an answer... otherwise false

The second dillema I have is that A1 has 3 ranges from 100-150, 150-200 & 200-300 to calculate with a set % in A2

## Moving Multiple Cell References At One Time

I am working with a formula that has multiple embedded IFs and therefore references the same cell multiple times. However I am also copying it between workbooks for different companies so some of the information changes which column it is in. For example, there is a formula in AA5 that has 3 references to R4 and 4 to R5 and I need all of the R4 references to be T4 and all of the R5 references to be T5.

I can't do a "find and replace" because the formula in Y5 still needs to reference R4 and R5.

I have been clicking on R4 and dragging it 3 times to T4 (and the same for R5 to T5). It just seems like there should be a way to move all of the R4 references at one time to T4.

I want a total of column F based on criteria in column D and column K from the worksheet named in cell C9. I have put in the indirect function in the first part but am messing up the syntax in the second and third part of the formula. "Indirect(C9&" should be where 'Oct2009' is shouldn't it. Where am I going wrong with the following formula?

## Copy / Drag From Sequential Column To Non-Sequential Ones While Retaining Sequence

I have a form made that needs to copy a value from another sheet. The Form is 10 rows 5 columns and and in format for easy print. On sheet2 I have a column where each row is filled with a name.

I need to put this name into sheet1, so in the the appropriate cell I put =Sheet2!B2 and it gives me the value (name) from the other sheet.

Then I want to copy the form bellow the 1st one so that I have the same form but with the next name, which means I want =Sheet2!B3 to appear when I copy, but since my form is 10 rows when I copy it the formula copies to =Sheet2!B12 instead of B3.

I need to make close to a thousand of this forms ready for printing and I would like to avoid having to manually set the formula for the next cell.

I want to sum up data for two periods (4&5) from a pivot table using GETPIVOTDATA formula. I've only been successful when I manually type the period values 4 and 5 as is shown below:

However, I cannot get the formula to work when I substitute cell references for the period values 4 and 5. Therefore, the following formula does not work:

=IFERROR((SUM(GETPIVOTDATA("Amount",'Transaction Pivot'!\$J\$3,"Period",{E5,E6},"Project",\$A7,"Category","T&M"))),0) where E5 has 4 in the cell and E6 has 5.

It is suppose to be that if the employee is "FT" and has worked >=4 years the return is 15. But if the employee is FT and has worked 2 years but less than 4 years then it is suppose to return 10 (these are days off) Or if the employee is FT and has worked 1 year, but less than 2 then it should return 5 days off. And all the others in the column get no days off.

I have tried to do it with structured references and with cell references I get a column of zeros!

I have a worksheet with some conditions set where there is a group of 3 cells, but only 1 will have anything in it. I need a formula to solve this situation:

I want cell A2 from worksheet1 to look at cells B1, C1, & D1 from worksheet2 and only pull the data from the cell that is populated on worksheet2.

Example:

Worksheet2:
B1= empty, blank, no data
C1= \$100.00
D1= empty, blank, no data

I want A2 to populate with the \$100.00 from C1 on worksheet2.

What do I need to write in for my formula? I tried an if statement (then and or), but could get it to work.

I would like to sum fields IF the STAFF Name is the same AND the PROJECT ID is the same...

Example: Sum the total TIME for GRIFFIN, TROY for PROJECT 1 (1 row). Separately Sum the total TIME for GRIFFIN, TROY for PROJECT 2 (2 rows).

## Print Same Sheet Multiple Times With Sequential Page Numbers?

I am trying to set up excel sheets for documents that we print often. I would like to print them with page numbers in right footer that increases sequentially.

setting up a macro. But very time I print it starts from same number instead of the number after where I left off. Example: if I print today with page numbers 1 through 12, next time I want it to print number 13 through whatever no of copies printed.

I have long series of data in 8 columns (B, F, J, N, R, V, Z, AD) starting at row 5 down to row 86404. I want to find the total median for each row, where a condition is met for that row. The condition is if number>10 and the number is located in row 3 for each column (i.e., B3 for column B). So, if B3, J3, R3 are all >10, then I want to find the median for all the numbers in the columns B,J,R.

I assume there is an array formula that could do this? I've tried a few solutions with no luck.

If I get 1 as the answer to the formula I'd like it to return a blank cell. This formula only works if the result is 1 but won't return a blank cell if the answer is an error.

I'm having troubles with the syntax for the .Formula part. I read that when you do this you're supposed to double quote everything, except if you need a "" in it...?

Im' working on an ROI spreadsheet at work and looking to add multiple IF statements leveraging one cell. an example is this:

If E51 is > 1 and < 100001 then the cell should equal "PREMIUM"
If E51 is > 100000 and < 175001 then the cell should equal "PREMIUM PLUS"
If E51 is > 175000 and < 250001 then the cell should equal "ENTERPRISE"

I have a formula already prepared in the spreadsheet that will come up with a value anywhere between 1 and 250,000 in cell E51. I need that cell value to be PREMIUM, PREMIUM PLUS or ENTERPRISE; depending on the value and can't work out the correct formula.

Any way in which i can 'paste link' and then 'paste link' again without overwriting the first link. example i have a row (say A1 to H1) with varying values in Book1 Sheet1. i know how to copy and paste a link to that onto, lets say Book2 Sheet1. but now in Book3 Sheet1 i want to copy and paste a link from A1 to H1 over to Book2, but have both links open for auto updates.

Been trying to work this one out and have ended up banging my head against the wall.

Basically I have a spreadsheet, in the first column is the person's name, in the secon which team they are in and following this a cell for each day of the month with their availability.

The team name is a selection from a list, the availability is 1-6 (different levels of availability)

I'm trying to do subtotals at the bottom for each separate team, so the very last row each of the cells for each is added up:

Name Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th etc.
Mr X ___1st___1______2__1
Mr Y ___2nd_______2________5__5__5
Mr Z ___1st___1____________3__3__3

Total 1st: 2 2 1 3 3 3
Total 2nd: 2 5 5 5

So basically the formula in the last row goes along the lines of:

I'm making a Purchase Order generator for work. Essentially, the main screen has buttons and the user selects the company, job number, their name etc. They click 'Generate' and it will great a brand new excel file for them with all the correct codes, ready to populate and send to a client. In the main sheet, we also have a master list showing every purchase order made to date. This is where I am currently stuck. I will have many more questions on the way. This is my first program so very new!

Lets say we have the following in cells A1 and A2. The rest is blank:

I'm updating someone's spreadsheet and so don't won't to add new cells or anything to it if possible. The problem I have is that I need to perform hlookup's of 3 cells, average them (some responses are non numeric) and then hlookup the output to give a final value.

The problem I have is that putting the lookups in one cell and then averaging them and looking up the average in another works, but all three steps in cell won't, it keeps choking on the non numeric responses.

Are their any work arounds to this, as the sheet has quite a bit of VBA code attached and I don't really want to have to add columns and then change the VBA code too.

## Excel 2007 :: Conditional Formatting And Adding Text To Cell Based On Multiple Cells

I'm using Excel 2007. I would prefer to stay away from the scripting side of the house if possible. This is basically a 3 day forcast weather chart. The top is the actual weather data, the bottom portion is a color coded reflection of how the weather affects various things.

This product is created in excel, but will be embedded into a powerpoint. It will be updated daily. Here is what I would like. I want the color chart at the bottom to update automatically based on the data I enter above. I have a grasp that I can update the color through conditional formatting, although im not exactly sure what that will look like with all of those cells.

I also figured out that I can insert the letters in those lower cells with something similar to " =IF(C6>90, "T", "") " which would put in a 'T' for Temperature when the temperature got above a certain degree.

I run into a problem when I have multiple factors affecting a single cell. For instance on the example in day 2 of my image. Personnel are affected by Temperate AND UV Index. How would I set up that cell to pull that information from both of those cells and display it accordingly? I would prefer the letters to stay separated by the comma, but I could live without that. The default cell color will be green, with the potential to be yellow or red. I left a few examples of possible situations on day 2 and 3.
