Jul 9, 2014
I need an array formula that can take average based on multiple criteria present row wise and column wise.
Check the attached sheet for detail. I need array formulae in yellow space. I have given one result that I need.

How could I add ">0" to the below formula array?
{=IFERROR(AVERAGE(IF(Reports!$A$1:$A$4000=A5,Reports!$H$1:$H$4000/86400)),"-")}
Reports!$A$1:$A4000 = column A lists multiple agent's names
A5 = a specific agent's name
Reports!$H$1:$H$4000 = column H contains a number which has been converted from time to a number
86400 = number of seconds in a day (the cell where I am placing the formula converts the number back to a time format)
The average I'm looking for will give me an average of all times which are greater than zero.

I am looking for a formula that averages the numbers in an array if they match the row and column text-based criteria. Based on another thread, I found and edited the following formula. However, it is giving me incorrect numbers.
[=AVERAGE(IF(($A$3:$A$275=$P6)*($B$2:$M$2=Q$4),$B$3:$M$275))]
I have attached a sample workbook that includes the broken formula.

I am trying to do a sum of data that contains three requirements - The country has to match either the USA or Canada and then it needs to pull for only a certain month (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar) and then for that month only pull either Airfare, Hotel, Per Diem, or Car Rental. Basically looking for a way to Sum only the specific category for a specific time frame.

I am creating a summary page to analyse my golf scores. I have come to a dead end when looking at the Par statistics. Does anyone fancy a challenge and try to fill in some of the blanks on the summary tab. I am trying to use array formulas based on multiple criteria. for instance under the Best Par 3 section, it would look at all the Par 3's for whichever golfer is selected and then return the lowest number.

I can manage an array formula that returns a value based on a criteria. Simple. But I want to add in an additional couple of criteria. Now I'm stuck....
My sheet looks at a manually entered postcode, finds out what region this is in, and returns a list of postcode I have defined as being in that region. (So the postcode WF1 3JY would return a region of Yorkshire, and list postcodes of WF, BD, L, etc)
I also have a list of engineers, with a column for their home postcode.I want to be able to list all the engineers from my list whose home postcode matches any of the values on the already created list from the postcode and region entered. So far I have this, which finds me all the engineers for just one postcode area.

I have to find the average of a set of data with a lot of different criteria. I think an array formula would work wonderfully but I just cannot seem to get it.
My example: I have a large set of data that I must get multiple averages from that fall within differing sets of criteria. For my example we'll just say that I have to find the average of the number column that occurs on or after Jan-12 (January 2012) and is type "p1" or one that has no date and is type "p1" and to not average numbers that are equal to 0. So logically it would look like this: If date

I'd like to search for a specific value like (1) in an array of cells like (A:A). The result needs to be the average number of a different column (B:B) in the same row as the searched value (1). And the resulting number should be rounded up to the nearest 10.
Example below: (Find value = 1 in A:A) ... 1 is found 4 times.
A | B
1 | 295
3 | 123
1 | 400
5 | 425
1 | 354
1 | 400
In the example above there are 4 (1's) found. By adding all the values in column (B) of the same row, we get 295+400+354+400 = 1449, dividing that in 4, the average is 362.25, rounding that up to the nearest 10... THE RESULT I'M LOOKING FOR IS: 370

It is a database in which each row represents a unique individual.
Columns A - G contains information which is irrelevant for this question
Columns H - CQ contains answers to the individual's questions (Yes/No or "-" for N/A)
Column CS contains a array formula which determines the % of "Yes" answered only in Question 1 (Columns H to X).
The formula finds all "S1*" (within H1 to CQ1) and if the corresponding "S1" has a "Yes" (within eg. row 2 - H to X) it adds it and divides by the total number of "S1" (17 in this example excluding the "-")
Eg:
In Row 2: S1 = 17, Yes = 7, "-" = 0, % = 7/17 =35.29%
In Row 3: S1 = 17, Yes = 8, "-" = 1, % = 8/16 = 50%
So I have the array formula in column "CS" which does the above.
What I want to achieve:
I want to get the average of all the individual rows in column "CS". This is shown in "CS1 (48.32%". I am looking for a way I can achieve this with just one formula - A formula which first calculates the individual %s and averages the %s within the same formula.

Here is my formula that does not return accurate results:
=IFERROR(SUM(SUMIFS(Tenure!$H:$H,Tenure!$E:$E,{"=1100","=1090"},Tenure!$C:$C,{"=12","=14","=13"},Tenure!$G:$G,"=1/1/2013",""})/SUM(COUNTIFS(Tenure!$E:$E,{"=1100","=1090"},Tenure!$C:$C,{"=12","=14","=13"},Tenure!$G:$G,"=1/1/2013",""}))),0)
I need to average column H from the sheet Tenure IF column E is 1100 or 1090 (formatted as text) and IF column C is equal to 12, 13, or 14 and IF column G is less than or equal to a date and column I if greater than or equal to a date OR if this column is blank.
I tried AVERAGEIFS, the above route and many others. For whatever reason, I have been unsuccessful, but close many times.

I've been trying to sum up invoices for specific contract lines while also taking into account if the invoice was deleted. There is a deleted column in which a "Y" is entered into the corresponding row meaning this invoice should no longer be accounted for.
I've been able to sum up the invoices per contract item just fine but I can't seem to get excel to account for the deleted column. I've attached a sample workbook which has dynamic named ranges already defined, the current array formula I'm using to sum up invoices and a pivot table that shows what the correct invoice amounts should be.

The attached workbook has two tabs:
1. Burn Rate - this is where I need my formula to calculate
2. prorder - this is where the table will be
What I need:
1) from 'Burn Rate', get the 'PO ID' we will look up in the table.
2) go to 'prorder' - when the 'PO ID' there matches that same 'PO ID' from the other worksheet - take the value in column F - this is the number that will be averaged.
In other words - in 'Burn Rate', for a given 'PO ID' (column A), I want to average all of the values that are found in column F in 'prorder', and return that average to 'Burn Rate' (column B).

Objective: to create an average variance among exact match RevCode
Example: all RevCodes with "666" should be used to make an average variance statistic
Situation: All RevCode's are not in similar group counts and this creates incorrect averages with a standard formula.
Set of Data
RevCode Observed Expected Variance RevCodeMean
666 200 220 -9.091%
666 205 220 -6.818%
666 207 220 -5.909%
777 500 355 40.845%
767 505 505 0.000%
668 100 105 -4.762%
668 105 105 0.000%
Formula that generates average variance between exact match revenue codes:
=(SUM(B2:B4)-SUM(C2:C4))/SUM(C2:C4)
The solutions can be in VBA or within the spreadsheet either way.

Sub test()
Set ws1 = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("SOMMAIRE_EN_ALL")
Set ws2 = Workbooks("Fichier_central_2013_anglais_2_CLEAN").Sheets("DETAIL_CONCAT")
Set r = ws2.Range("A1:du4783")

I have used INDEX/MATCH/ROW/SEARCH functions, in different permutations, but I am unable to get the result. The data set is something similar to the below:
Car
Region
Own
Use
Color
Honda
North
Yes
I use it to go for work
Green
[Code] .....
I want to be able to do following (2 separate tasks):
Task 1 (if in A1 on a new sheet, I had Use, i want to list all the items in an adjacent column, skipping the blank rows)):
Use
I use it to go for work
Family trips
Weekend fun
2nd car
Work
Task 2 (if i had Honda (A2) and North (B2), I want to have the colors listed in Column 3):
Car
Region
Color
Honda
North
Green
White
I know this can be done by an auto-filtering or manual sort, but I have work with thousands of similar data on a regular basis, and i want to find a formula that will allow me to list the items based on different criterion.

I'm working with a large amount of data (A21:BZ1503) and I'm trying to identify unique situations where any pre-defined combination of multiple columns in one row is flagged by producing a pre-defined value. For example:
I have my pre-defined criteria in worksheet 'X' hidden in my workbook -- note that there are many blank cells.

I will list the machines in the columns and would like the rows below each machine to be populated with the results.
Column 1 Lists the various factories
Column 2 Lists the Machine
Column 3 Lists the Part
Column 4 Lists the result.
Results can either be "ok", "warning", "Alert" only

I am trying to run an array formula to match two dates on two seperate sheets as close together based on another cell. Below is what I currently have on some made up values. I am entering it as an array and ideally I would like it to run down the cells changing the reference A2 depending on which cell it is then to then enter this into a macro.
The formula I am currently using is:
=INDEX(Trees!B$2:B$75,MATCH(MIN(INDEX(ABS(IF(A2=Trees!A$2:A$75,(Trees!B$2:B$75-B2))),0)),INDEX(ABS(IF(A2=Trees!A$2:A$75,(Trees!B$2:B$75-B2))),0),0))

On sheet 1 of the attached file is multipul queries raised for us to answer.
On sheet 2 is an empty table which i would like help formulating.
In the Submission Lag Time Column i would like a forumla that looks down Column L on Sheet 1 and gives me an average for the amount of days a query has been with us from each company (column B) per month (going off the dates in column D).
I the same formula will be used for the other 3 columns, put looking down a different column on sheet 1.
