Need to use CountIFs formula to evaluate multiple conditions in the same column. Here is the formula I tried. It works for Resolved but returns 0 when i try to add Duplicate.
Also used this formula with success by referencing a cell that had "Resolved" in it but when I tried to add another cell with "Duplicate" it again returned 0.
I've been trying to sum up invoices for specific contract lines while also taking into account if the invoice was deleted. There is a deleted column in which a "Y" is entered into the corresponding row meaning this invoice should no longer be accounted for.
I've been able to sum up the invoices per contract item just fine but I can't seem to get excel to account for the deleted column. I've attached a sample workbook which has dynamic named ranges already defined, the current array formula I'm using to sum up invoices and a pivot table that shows what the correct invoice amounts should be.
I have recorded the data from 12 records (i actually have hundreds, but im just using a small sample). Each record is represented by a vertical column. I want to find the total number of "x's" for only the records from Country1 (from all the answers). Then I want to find the number of "x's" from only Country2. I have tried the "countifs" function but cannot find a way to make it work. Would a different array function be better? How would I write it?
P.S. The answer for Country1 should be: 15. The answer for Country2 should be: 5.

I am trying to do a sum of data that contains three requirements - The country has to match either the USA or Canada and then it needs to pull for only a certain month (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar) and then for that month only pull either Airfare, Hotel, Per Diem, or Car Rental. I am creating a summary page to analyse my golf scores. I have come to a dead end when looking at the Par statistics. Does anyone fancy a challenge and try to fill in some of the blanks on the summary tab. I am trying to use array formulas based on multiple criteria. for instance under the Best Par 3 section, it would look at all the Par 3's for whichever golfer is selected and then return the lowest number.
I thought I had been able to use array to have more than two criterias with Autofilter, but now I am unable to make the following code work. What I am trying to do is have all the records that does not contain either N/A, S/O or xx and also have a filter on column 125 for the value "OUI".

I know this can be done by an auto-filtering or manual sort, but I have work with thousands of similar data on a regular basis, and i want to find a formula that will allow me to list the items based on different criterion.

I solved it by using >=01-01-10 and <=31-01-10 criteria but i don't think its nice idea .... I tried to use AND(function by got failed ...........
I need to count certain data if they match the same week number but they are not highlighted in red (manual colour not conditional formating). I have a macro that allows me to count cells with a certain colour but I cannot seem to tell it to only to count them if it also meets the criteria of relating to the same week.
Can i somehow combine these to functions or do I need to add soemthing to the countifcolour macro?

My sheet looks at a manually entered postcode, finds out what region this is in, and returns a list of postcode I have defined as being in that region. (So the postcode WF1 3JY would return a region of Yorkshire, and list postcodes of WF, BD, L, etc)

I have the following formula in a sheet to record basketball stats that I am putting together.
=COUNTIFS('Running Game Log'!A:A,"=Jarod",'Running Game Log'!C:C,"=2 pt miss")
This formula counts from a list that is generated during in-game recording of stats & obviously counts the number of times "Jarod" misses a "2 pt shot".
My question is can the criteria "Jarod" refer to a value in a cell, rather than the specific name "Jarod" as I want to be able to change player names easily, rather than have to edit this formula every time.
I have sheet full of data containing results of multiple tests on various equipment.The sheet contains many columns of data but below are the specifc criteria i want to use to extract the data. As maintenance is carried out regularly the list is always growing. I want to create a dashboard summary of the "Machines" which i will colour using condition formatting. I will list the machines in the columns and would like the rows below each machine to be populated with the results.
Column 1 Lists the various factories Column 2 Lists the Machine Column 3 Lists the Part Column 4 Lists the result.
Results can either be "ok", "warning", "Alert" only
I know this should be straightforward, but just can't "hack the logic", whether using "Countifs" oor "SumProduct" formulae.

I need the formula that totals number of rows meeting three criteria: (a) A specific date from Col A (b) A specific number from Col B And the part I can't sort out: (c) Any cell containing a "string" in Col C (so needs to count the "core" even if it has a prefix or suffix).
E.g. How many rows have "Date x" in Col A, "Route Y" in Col B and a cell containing "123" in Col C?
I'm trying to use the COUNTIFS function & have run into trouble because the 2nd criteria is a date. Typically I would just set the range & then put "01/01/2014" if I was looking for all of the January 1, 2014 cells. However in this spreadsheet my source data contains the date with the time. (01/01/2014 11:27:39 AM). Becasue the time is included in the cell, the function returns no results when I set teh date.
I tried to use a wild card "01/01/2014*" which I thought would bypass the time but it still retuns no results. Is there a way to use a windcard with a date cell?

What I want to count is the number of jobs that company A need to caary out by a specific date and then the number that company B need to carry out by the same date.
