Automatically Increase Weekday Dates By Value Of Cell
May 8, 2009
I have a range (M6:BM6) which consists of week end dates = every Friday (M6 =
5/8/09; BM=5/7/10). I would like to have the range adjusted based on when a
cell (B3) is updated. For example, currently B3=5/5/09 and M6=5/8/09 (week
end date of B3). If B3 was updated to 5/12, I would like to have the range
automatically updated to M6=5/15/09, N6=5/22/09....BM=5/14/10. I could do
this with excel formulas in the sheet but would like to macro code adjust the
values in the range rather than formulas.
These ranges are used in other macros and works better with values rather than formulas.
I have a column of dates: 1 day per row: 01/01/10, 02/01/10, 03/01/10, etc in sequence, without gaps (European date format). The list can begin with a different start date depending on initial user input and is not always a Monday. I want the user to be able to autofilter so that it only shows dates that fall on a Monday.
Private Sub Worksheet_Activate() Dim dDate As Date Dim strDate As String 'disable autofilter if already enabled With ActiveSheet .AutoFilterMode = False End With 'autofilter column a only, from a12, to filter Mondays If IsDate( Range("a12")) Then dDate = Range("a12") strDate = Weekday(dDate) Range("a12").AutoFilter Range("a12").AutoFilter field:=1, Criteria1:=strDate End If End Sub
How do I auto fill a series of 2014 dates in the row below the weekdays? I have a row C5 that has a series of auto fill weekdays successfully for 2014. I can't seem to auto fill the weekdates in the row below. I have to make manual adjustments for each Monday, and for the correct month ends, etc.
I would like to create a financial modeling spreadsheet. Basically my problem is this; I want to have a month by month row for 5 years. For the value of each one I would like it to increase by 950 per month automatically.
I am trying to create a spreadsheet that will automatically increase the work order number by 1. The cell will always be in the same place. The idea is that when the file is opened it populates the number. After being closed and reopened the number will be 1 higher than the previous.
The page will reused by various people to create and print work requests for my mechanics, I want it to assign the W/O automatically.
I have a sheet with a date and the number of months on it which will change. I need the sheet to list the dates in a column for each month automatically: e.g. Two cells contain date “jan07” and the period “10” months. The rows A1 to A10 should have jan07…jan16 listed automatically. If I change then change the number of month to 11 I would like the rows A1 to A11 to update automatically.
I have a test due in the morning, and I really need this question answered ASAP, if anyone could. I need to create an IF formula for this situation: the standard Mhz is 500. Give 55.00 for that standard. But for every increase of of Mhz, give 25.00 per 100 increase.
=CHOOSE(WEEKDAY("1 Jan " &$C$1),"Sun","Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat")
where C1 = the year 2006. B1 has the month Jan and I want to input that into my formula, so when I change the month, it automatically will change my formula. I tried =CHOOSE(WEEKDAY("1 $B$1 " &$C$1),"Sun","Mon","Tue","Wed","Thu","Fri","Sat")
if it is possible to increase one cell by 1 when the date was changed in another cell. I installed the code that was given to me and it worked perfectly, thanks agin JB and royuk, UNTIL the cell that was to increase by 1 was locked and the sheet protected.
I need to increase the cell value on a spreadshhet that contains over 50,000 cells. I know how to do this on a cell by cell basis. I need to know if there is some way of doing this to multiple cells. Here is my example;
$603 $712 $649
I need to increase each cell value and roundup to the next number. I have been doing the following formula: =ROUNDUP(603/.97,0) to increase the cell value to $622.
If a cell is not blank, then increase that amount by a percentage identified in another cell and display the value only without any formalas in a new cell. To this end I wrote this IF statement:
=IF(I2>0,CP9=(CA9*I2/100)+CA9,CP9="")
Observation: I see a FALSE in CS9 where this IF statement exists, however, CP9 does not display the required value.
Is it possible to have a cell increased by 1 and another decreasing by 1 in a simple cell formula.
E.g.: I have an inventory stock sheet that is very simple. I have a maximum stock column C, a stock on hand (available) column A and a stock sold column B.
Every time I sell an item and punch it into column B it should automatically decrease the amount in column A by the number that I punch into B.
I am not concerned about the maximum stock column but would like an easy formula just to work out the amount that I have available so I know when to order more stock.
So when I punch in a 5 on B2 it should decrease the value of A2 to 1. And when I purchase stock again and I punch in say a 5 on A2 it should decrease B2 to a 1.
How can I get one cell to increase by 1 after I change the date in another cell. The spreadsheet is used to keep track of Oxygen Bottles at the local Fire Dept. and I want the " Times Filled" cell to increase by 1 after the " Date Filled" cell is changed. I'm not sure if they key the date in or if they use a calender add-in pop up.
I've asked this similar question on another message board (the Microsoft help community), but failed to follow-up quickly enough for the support I've come here to ask for. My situation involves a spreadsheet that is used to track days worked over the course of a week. I have the days of the week listed in one row (Sun - Sat) and in the row above, a place to put the day (i.e. - 3/28). I asked for help with a macro that would allow the user to place the date into any of the cells above the days of the week, check to ensure that the corresponding day of the week is correct, and if so, populate the other remaining empty dates automatically. Below is the macro that was kindly provided. It works perfectly as long as my data is in the referenced ranges (A1:G1, etc); however, my actual data is in range L6:R6 for the dates and L7:R7 for the day of the week. (example below). I've been able to pick apart the code to understand how to change most of the macro to accept input from the different range; however, I'm unable to comprehend what I'm missing to complete the modification.
I am using the =today() function to places todays date in a cell...how can I get the next to cells to automatically display dates that are 2 months and 4 months later without having to change them manually every day. FWIW, this is for an certification expiration chart.
I created a small block of cells on my worksheet where i have in separate cells, the day of the week, the days date and the month. I want to design a special memory calendar for my mom in early stages alzheimers.
There are cells with specific info which i do not want to re type for the whole month/year.
I want to be able to copy all the info into another block of cells and have the day of the week and date change also the month.
I need a formula that can work out a percentage increase or decrease from cell J2 to L2.
J2 is the current data with L2 being the previous data - so the formula would compare J2 with L2 and tell me if there is an increase or decrease shown as a percentage.
The figures fluctuate from month to month so they could be either an increase or decrease. There are over 300 entries so I can't go through each one adjusting the formula accordingly - this is why I need the formula to do the working out if it is up or down.
I have a simple spreadsheet. A value is inserted in cell B4.
I want to increase that value or decrease it by adding a button in the next cells, C4 or D4, to increase and decrease that value instead of manually typing in the new value.
I'm a novice at macros and spreadsheets and a Visual Basic Virgin!!.
I'm trying to work out how to increase a cell (B17) value from 1 through 5 then jump back to 1 and count to 5 again etc etc.
The value should be incremented every time cell B33 ="Yes" however there needs to be a 2nd event which resets the B33 trigger to operate again. This is when cell B34 shows "New Race"
Is there a function in VBA that lets me increment or decrement the number of decimals of a particular cell? let's say i got a cell value of 7.123456 but excel only displays 7 on the cell. What if i want excel to display only 7.123? How can I specify the number of decimals i want on a particular cell (in this case 3)
setting the dates so that they update by 30 days once they have passed.
For example I need a cell that has an upcoming date to add 30 days to it once it has reached the upcoming date, so it is April 4th today, and I need it to change a cell that reads 'April 14th' to 'May 14th' once it is April 14th.
I'm attempting to get a column of due dates to update automatically every time a date changes. The due dates are in B3:B15. There is a header in B3. The day after the actual due date, it is automatically changed to the same day on the next month (showing the next due date). I need the spread sheet to automatically sort the due dates from the closest due at the top, to the furthest due date from today at the bottom. Running it manually, or sorting it manually every time won't work. This is for an elderly couple who are having problems keeping track of everything each month. I just need something that will show them the upcoming bills and how soon they are due when they open the workbook. Anything other than opening the workbook is going to be too complicated. I'm new to macros. I've tried to modify some I've found in other threads, but no luck (lots of error messages). I don't understand it enough yet to figure out what I need to change. I've attached a sample sheet that shows the part of the workbook I'm having trouble with.
I have a macro that increase a cell number and one that decreases a cell number, heres my code:
Code: Sub Macro1() Dim t t = Split(Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("d5").Text, "/") t(0) = Format(t(0) + 1, "0") Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("d5") = Join(t, "/")
[Code] .......
So they do exactly what i want them to do but i want to put a limitation on them, so say the number in the cell is 0 then i dont want it to be able to subtract from it anymore, and say the number is 20 i dont want it to be able to add any more, i tried to put if statments into the code but no luck.
