Locate Files Of Predefined Extension, In Predefined Location & List In Spreadsheet

I require a bit of code that locates where the excel file is stored - it then searches that directory folder for all file names. Any file names with an extension *.hm for example are listed in column A, while their relevant 'Dates of last Modification' are listed in Column B.

Every time the spreadsheet opens it should ask the user if he/she requires a re-search of this directory and update of any file names accordingly. NB: if a file name is deleted from the directory, the file name should remain in the spreadsheet.

Auto Calculate Not Working

I import a file and paste as CSV. I believe everything is considered text
then, but there are numbers as well. The worksheet has over 4000 lines. I
try to concantenate two cells (ie. a2 and b2). I use the function, but the
result shows the formula. What I want is the new value or the string of
words. I have checked my options and the auto calculate is turned on. I
even try the various F9 keys.

i had a sheet with the employee name,Working Place, Designation,Starting Time & Ending Time of each employee working in a Department. I want to track the no of hours each employee worked in the Format 1 Hr: 45 Mins .

i tried to get the result by substracting the ending time from starting time and then formatted the cells using the TIME FORMAT from the FORMAT Menu>Format Cells > TIME. But i m not getting the required result. I want a vba code or formula for extracting the no of Hrs & Mins the employee worked using the above formula.

Calculate Working Days Function

I have just built a spreadsheet to calculate training hours amongst other things. I have used the function NETWORKDAYS which calculates the number of working days between two dates. This works fine on my laptop which has the analysis tools pack installed. Unfortunately my work place IS policy wont allow the analysis pack to be installed so need to find away around this. Does anyone know a formula that will perform the same function as the NETWORKDAYS. THis is crucial to the accurate calculation of training hours.

I am currently using Excel 2007 and I am trying to find a good working formula for Normal Hours worked:

I have the following code for Total Hours, Time and a Half and Double Time hours but I can't seem to get the right formula for working up to 8 hours.

Whereas C11 = Total hours added for the day.

=MOD(SUMPRODUCT(C8:C10-C7:C9),1) =Total Hours Worked
=Normal work hours between 0 to 8 hour work day.
=MIN("04:00",MAX(0,C11-"08:00")) =Time and a Half hours over 8 hours worked.
=MAX(0,C11-"12:00") =Double Time hours over 12 hours worked

Calculate Working Shifts Per Day From Monthly Report

I have table and need to take out montly total for each worker...

Now...
Each hours in day have own factor. (I need total hours per day but for illustration)...

So when worker works day shift from 8:00 to 16:00 it's easy... 8 hours
When works from 8:00 to 20:00 it's 8 hours + 4 afternoon hours
When works from 20:00 to 8:00 it's 2 afternnoon hours + 8 night hours + 2 day hours

Aditional problem is when day intercept holliday or sunday when that factors need to be included (if holliday is at sunday then it's like holliday).

I've also added last day of previous month and first day of next month because of night shifts than need to be calulcated. Therefore correct number of hours is 168 and not 188.

Below I calculated manually those numbers wich I want to be automated...

Also.. This is table I get.. If it's easier to make it somehow else, OK by me. And any number of aditional columns is not problem...

Including Saturdays but excluding Sundays & Holidays.

I can get this working excluding Saturdays (formula below) using NETWORKDAYS however the call centre work six days a week Mon-Sat.

Calculate Working Days Left In Current Month

Is there a formula to calculate the working days left in the current month? I work in the financial services industry and am putting together a spreadsheet to automatically calculate sales production needs per "working day", based on my businesses schedule.

We are open M-F and Saturday, not including holidays. Now, I can look at a calendar, count the days left and put them in to the spreadsheet, but I'd prefer to have it calculate automatically.

On my spreadsheet, I have used the =TODAY() formula. In the cell below, I would like to have it calculate the actual working days remaining in the current month.

Since today is Sunday August 19th, I know that there are 11 working days left (starting Monday 08-20-2007). Is there a way to get Excel to do that?

How should I calculate working hours between two dates? Say if start at 9/25/2009 7:26:13 PM and finish at 10/20/2009 9:46:13 AM, the function should return 245:20:00 because the working hours are from 8am to 11 PM (8 - 23), and there are weekends between the dates. Preferably the function should work like the NETWORKDAYS() function, but it should also include the time, not just the dates.

Struggling a bit on this one! I have tried the index function, but doesn’t quite work how I need it. Consider the attachment as an example:

I have three cells, 2 of which are drop down lists, and the third is simply the result from the input variables. The yellow and green section contains the info for my drop down lists, and the orange contains the data range. Trouble is ‘Index’ is looking at the contents of my cells, and not the corresponding cell address. So lets say I have cells F5 and A8, the answer I would be looking for is 23.7, but because the contents of my input cells are 185, and 5, its looking for column 185 and row 5, when I want it to look for the column/row that relates to these values, i.e. column 6, row 8.

I currently have a 200 row table spanning 10 columns. There is one numeric column and the rest are free text. The table charts the different contents on one of the shared drives here at work. The drive is frequently in use with things being added and removed from it.

I have an excel table already which can sort the contents in order of size (numeric row) or name of the folder (the first text column). I have two buttons at the top.
The first inserts a row, which I did by recording a macro and then copying the code into the button.

The second I would like to do the following: When a user selects a cell in a row, the button, then clicked, deletes the entire row. Not just the data in it, but excises the row itself and stitches the surrounding materials together. The code to delete a row I could obtain easily, but I can't work out to say "find the selected cell, and take out the row it belongs to".

After all the work and calculations applied to data from various macros, I would like to have a final macro simply insert a title row, always the top row with various titles. Theres 11 columns, thus it would be great for the code to simply insert the row with predefined bolded titles, such as T1, T2, T3....T11. These 11 cells would than share then same bolded bottom line, making it visibly separated from the rest of the rows. I have a workbook which has a variety of command buttons with assigned macros, one of which is a product detail button which redirects to a new worksheet.

Is it possible to be able to click on the button, display a new window (the new worksheet), but only display a section of it?

For example, I have 5 products. Each of the five products are detailed on the same worksheet and I have a button for each. I would like Button 1 to open up the details for product 1 only and button 2 to open up product 2 details etc.

I could go to individual sheets, but if I had 2000 products, the book would be a little large.

How to formulate this in excel 2003.

If A1= HH (hour), B1=mm (minutes) - Inputs
A2 should show NN : B2 should show VV - Result

And Viceversa.

If A1= NN (hour), B1=VV (minutes) - Inputs
A2 should show hh : B2 should show mm - Result

hh - hours, mm - minutes, NN - Nazhigai, VV - Vinadi - all are numbers
