Copy Range A Where B Ends

May 10, 2006

I want to copy range A to B, but I don't want to copy the whole column of A. I want to copy the data on A where B ends. For instance, If Column is A:50 and B is B:40 then I only want to copy A:40. I've trying the code below, but for some reason it deletes the range. Once the code is finished there is nothing in A or B.

Range("A9:A" & Cells(Rows.Count, 2).End(xlUp).Row).Copy
Range("B9").PasteSpecial (xlValues)

VBA Codes: First Ends In G Second Starts In G

Apr 28, 2006

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim rng As Range
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("e273:g284")) Is Nothing Then
Set rng = Range("e273:g284")
ElseIf Not Intersect(Target, Range("g273:j284")) Is Nothing Then
Set rng = Range("g273:j284")
ElseIf Not Intersect(Target, Range("j273:l284")) Is Nothing Then
Set rng = Range("j273:l284")
End If
Application.EnableEvents = False
If Not rng Is Nothing Then
If Application. CountIf(rng, Target.Cells(1, 1).Value) > 1 Then
MsgBox "This vehicle is booked out at this time"
Target.ClearContents
Target.Cells(1, 1).Select
End If
End If
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

the code is perfect for what i need it to do but the only problem i have is that the codes roll on from each other... I.E:- E273:G284 - G273:J284 - J273:L284. first ends in G second starts in G, Second ends on J third starts on J. for some reason this doesnt work, the first code gets the prority and works but the second works in all the columns except the first one.. in this case the first code is fine, second actually works from H not G and third works from K not J

Keep Variable Values AFTER Procedure Ends

Mar 19, 2007

I have a User Form with 2 groups of 3 radio buttons let's say. The user must choose one button from each group, then press "GO" which runs specific code depending on what buttons they pressed.

How do I make the variables public or static so that after both radio buttons were selected, another seperate procedure in the same module (The GO procedure) can know what selections were made so it can run code based on those selections? In this example, there are only 2 groups of three radio buttons, but in reality I have 30 buttons and it keeps growing so I need the most direct/simple way to solve this.

For Example:

UserForm1
Radio Button Group 1:

Button 1
Button 2
Button 3

Same UserForm1
but now here is Radio Button Group 2:

Button 4
Button 5
Button 6

I need to know which buttons the user clicked from Group 1 and Group 2 after they finished both their selections from each group, and then run code depending on what combination of buttons have been selected. I'm good to go with the If/Then code to decide which code to run, I just cant keep the variables from reading as 'Empty' when I try to see what the user selected when pressing GO and running that procedure.

Scroll Bar With Mid Point Of 0 And Positive Increasing Values On Both Ends

Mar 28, 2014

I've got an excel sheet that lets people choose between 2 choices. I'm using scroll bars to make it easy for them to choose and visualize their preference with as little mouse clicks as possible. The scroll bar is only one sided though, meaning it starts from a min value to a max value.

I would like a scroll bar with a of 0, with the value increasing positively as the user scrolls to the left, and the value also increasing positively as it scrolls to the right.

Stacked Column Chart (tying Up The Loose Ends)

May 22, 2006

If the user adds 3 new lines, to the data table, – the Series Value Ranges should increase by 3 lines – AUTOMATICALLY(!) to avoid the user to full-around with the chart. It should take care of the 4 Series Ranges and also of the Range for the X-Axis Category Labels. As far as I recall, the way to accomplish it, is by NAMING the ranges with COUNTA etc… BUT, here – the last row is an empty row…

Creating Vertical Chronological List Of Weekends And Month Ends?

Jul 30, 2014

I need to create a report on each friday as well as on every last workday of a month. I have to display both weekly and monthly data on the same graphs and I always arranged the week ends and month ends myself, but this is taking a lot of time.

So I need a chronological list of of week numbers and month names based on the date of Friday of a week or last workday of a month.

Input:
A1 - either month name ("MMM", Jul, Aug, Sep) or week number (1-52)
A2 - year number (2014)

Output:
For example, for 30 in A1 and 2014 in A2 it should look like this:

BD
BE
BF
BG
BH
BI
BJ
BK
BL
BM

1
May
23
24
25
26
Jun
27
28
29
30

And this should strech back all the way back to B1 in which I need to have 31.

Note if a month ends on last workday of a month the week number should come first and month name second.

When The Sheet Is Protected It Ends Up Throwing A Runtime Error ( 1004 )

May 9, 2006

I am currently working on a project which at various times does 2 different things. These things are to be done on a "PROTECTED" (UserInterfaceOnly:=True ) worksheet.

The first is a Range.Replace command.
The other is a Hyperlinks.Add command.

Now when I'm testing ( typically the worksheet is not protected ) everything works like a champ. But as soon as I protect the sheet the following scenario happens.

1. The replace DOES NOT work.
2. The hypelink.add DOES NOT work.

when the sheet is protected it ends up throwing a runtime error ( 1004 ) "Protected Sheet error" the real odd thing about this is that it doesn't throw the error on the command itself. On the hyperlink the error happens about 3 command further along in the flow............

Chart - Second Series Starts Where First Series Ends?

Sep 21, 2011

I would like to have two series of data using the same X axis (date, formatted in months). The Y axis is in intervals of 100,000.

The first data series is historical (actual) data (i.e. Jan 2009 to August 2011). The second data series is forecast (Sept 2011 - August 2012). So i want the forecast series to start immediately after the historical series. It is a 'line with markers' chart. The key objective is that the forecast data looks visually distinct from the historial series.

Select Range To Copy, Find Values And Copy

Feb 2, 2010

I have a base document that i can import another data document with a button (this is working).

I then have another WS ("search") in the base document with lots of identifiers which I want to use as my search range to look through the document that I just imported (column A).

I need a msg to ask the user what month they would like to find the $ value on (Ie, January) in the imported WS... this way it doesnt copy the entire line only cell in the selected month column.

Then I want to the user to be able to click a button that will check through the identifiers on the "search" WS and if the same identifier appears in the imported WS in column A, then for the $ value in the column selected to be copied to the search Range work sheet.

If the idenfifier is not matched then in place of the $ value copied can be the string "no in XXX WS" .

I have attached the document with dummy data in each work sheet with details more cleary what I have meantion above.

Copy Variable Range & Copy Formulas From Destination

Mar 2, 2008

I tried searching for code for each part of the task separately and trying to piece together multiple macros, that did something similar, but I知 not have a lot of luck, so I値l break it down into two treads, I hope this will follow the rule of one question per post, but if I should have separated this request even farther as two treads, please let me know and I値l be happy to comply.

I was given a spread sheet with a macro that loads data from a SQL Data base (not mine), it returns anywhere from one row to 100痴 of rows data. Since it痴 not my spread sheet and macro, I copied this sheet to my destination workbook. The Data loads in 7 columns starting in B4:H4, with the column headings titles: Acct#, Id#, Name, Qtr1 Totals, Qtr2 Totals, Qtr3 Totals, and Qtr4 Totals. Data cells in spreadsheet not formatted (general)

What I知 trying to do:
part 1:
I need a macro to copy the data only for columns Id# thru Qtr4 Totals (C5:H5 down thru the last row with data) to another sheet. The destination sheet range starts with rows B13:G13, with formulas below and to the right in columns H13, and J13:N13
(column I is blank).

The formulas below the range are a subtotal of the copied columns (D:G). They could be remove and totaled after they池e copied, so there's nothing below the copied range? Since I need the column totals as a subtotals, my thought was to have the row heading and formulas already on the destinations sheet and just insert a blank rows between as each row was copied?

part 2:
As each row of data is copied from the source sheet, I need the macro to copy the formulas to the right of the copied range (H13, and J13:N13) on the destination sheet down for each new row of data copied from the source sheet

Find Matched Value In A Range For Named Cell Then Copy Range Cells Below

Aug 6, 2013

I need method, using a button, that looks at a cell--say EO2, for example--, looks back on a master worksheet at a specified row and range for a match, then looks at the information from a specified range below the matching cell (The information in this column will either be blank or have an "X" in the cell), and then those rows that do not have an "X" will be hidden in the corresponding rows in the working worksheet. Therefore, if at any time the value in "EO2" ever changes, then it will automatically find a new match and repopulate and hide information as before. About 130 columns will have its own button so that a "query" can be made that depends on the information in a particular cell in that column.

The master worksheet now has matrix of 287 rows and 58 columns. Each row is for an operating procedure and each column shows a job code. An "X" in a coordinate cell for a column/row shows whether that job code is responsible for knowing that operating procedure. So, on the working sheet, an employee's primary job code is given underneath his or her name. When the button is pushed, all the operating procedures not required for a given person will be hidden and only the required ones will remain visible--grouped, if you will. Qualification dates will be easier to see now that the information is consolidated. Whenever someone transfers to a new position, a new code will be inputed on the working sheet. When the button is pushed, a new grouping will result. Any operating instructions that overlap will still have qualification dates, so that information will not need to be transcribed.

Search Range In One Sheet - If Any Cell In Range Is Greater Then 0 Copy That Row

Sep 24, 2013

Basically I have three sheets. MAIN, Sheet 1 and Sheet 2

Sheet 1 and 2 are in the same format

A3 down is a list of country names and then B3:I71 contains the data im interested in.

I've been trying to create a function that looks at B3:i71 to see if any cell in that range contains a value greater then $0.00. If it does then the row that contains the cell with a value greater then $0.00 (between col A to K) should be copied to sheet MAIN from cells B3 down. This should ultimatley produce a list of data for any row containing a value greater then $0.00. This process should then be repeated on Sheet 2 and should join the list below sheet 1.

Copy/Paste Range To Different Size/Shape Range

Mar 3, 2008

I have the following code that let's the user choose and " import" data to an existing sheet. It works well up until now. The problem is that the three ranges that I am trying to copy the data from on workbook to another has changed size. In previous version of my workbooks the range was two columns by 10 rows. Now, it is 1 column by 10 rows. So, when I run this macro it doesn't work because the two ranges are different. Is there any way to:
1) Only copy over one of the rows of a range thus making the macro run?

2) Do not run that part of the macro if there is an error?

Thanks so much for reading this long-winded description but the error is a big problem

Loan Processing-Copy Range From 1 Sheet To Same Range On Another

Jun 22, 2008

I'm developing a loan processing system for members of a club. When an applicant asks for a loan, the club will calculate 10 % of that interest and the applicant will have to pay it back in 5 successive fortnightly instalments. If he asks for a loan in the first fortnight (1), for example, he will have to start paying instalments in fortnights 2,3,4,5,6 to pay it all back.

The system currently has 4 worksheets. The first sheet is a the loan application form. The cells outlined in thicker border, are the cells in which details must be input. Once it is input, the data will be automatically placed in the Processing worksheet using IF and VLookup functions (See spreadsheet attached), which is used as a basis for the loan schedule Worksheet. What I need is a macro that will copy the range filled in the Processing worksheet, and copy it to the exact same location in the Loan schedule worksheet (The cells with the same fortnight columns and the same member name. This is how the loans are to be filed.
