Count Events Between Specific Dates And Having Adjacent Values Greater Than 0
Dec 28, 2013
I have a yearly running log (attached). At the bottom in cell [B88] I would like to develop a formula that gives me the number of times I ran in that specific month. Dates are in Column A and running distances are in Column B. If a distance is zero, I don't want to count it. I have attempted to solve this using the =COUNTIFS formula, but I am not able to structure it properly. Maybe =COUNTIFS is not what I should be using.

Its a training list, and I want to count the number of staff with valid training dates, I want to keep invalid dates as a reminder and I also have text N/A to disregard. Have used an IF function array but there are approx 33 column entries I want to add and using array function limits the amount of formula entries up to column 24.
Would be much easier if I used data validation to kick out the invalid date entries but we want to keep them if possible.

I have a range of dates B1:B100 which I want to compare to a certain date A1 and see how many are greater than my stated date A1.
I've tried with countif(B1:B100, "=>A1") which I thought would work, but it gives the error Value!
How do I do this?

I have a spreadsheet that contains dates in column A and numbers in column B. For some dates I do not have data available but I must include all of the dates, so a date with no data available has a 0 in column B. I need to come up with a way to average the total of my data with the total number of weeks with data (ones without a 0) that will recalculate everytime I add new data. How do I write a function that will check column B for a number greater than 0 and then based on that result either count or ignore column A, and then total the number of times A is counted?

How can I use COUNTIF to count the values in a range which are greater than 0?
I put =COUNTIF(B2:B100000)>0 but that didn't work?
(I'm using XL 2007 hence the range greater than 65000 rows. But I don't
think COUNTIFs syntax has been changed in 2007 so I assume I'm having a brain
fart.)

I'm looking for a formula to sum three adjacent cell values in a specific row and then sum up all of the rows.
A B C
1 0 2
3 1 2
4 4 0
For example, the value for the above would return 17 = [(1+0+2)+(3+1+2)+(4+4+0)]

I want to have a formula that finds the sum of the values in Col 1 (Qty) for the rows that equal, eg: 140, in Col 2 (Product) So that I can have a list of Products of the Qty that relates to each product. (there are products in increments of 10 from 10 to 920, that is, 92 products)

=SUBTOTAL(2,A2:A100) can be used in combination with any other formula so that when the data is filtered using autofilter it will only count values greater than zero.
I have attached a worksheet with the example.
In the attached workbook subtotal formulas are used in Row1 for sum and row 2 for count.
When the data is filtered using code "DUP" in column D, the subtotal in cell C2 is "4", whereas in the specified range there is a positive value in only 1 cell that is $1050 in cell C99.
Is there some combination that can be used with SUBTOTAL formula so that it will only count values greater than zero when data is filtered.

I found these 2 examples online on how to count Mondays between 2 dates but neither seems to work on Excel 2003, which I am using. Can anyone help me please?
Number Of Mondays In Period
If you need to return the number of Mondays (or any other day) that occur within an interval between two dates, use the following Array Formula:
=SUM(IF(WEEKDAY(A2-1+ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&TRUNC(B2-A2)+1)))=C2,1,0))
This formula assumes the following:
A2 contains the beginning date of the interval
B2 contains the ending date of the interval
C2 contains the day-of-week number (1=Sunday, 2=Monday,...,7=Saturday) ....

I have spreadsheet with different 100s of columns of dates with 600 rows. The first row identifies which zone the data belongs to (North, South, East, West. NE, SW, SW1, etc...)
I want to write a formula to check how many dates in each column fall in 2015 or later years; This can be accomplished by writing a countifs formula.
Where it gets complicated is once i filter on the Zones;
I want the formula to give me the desired result - count of all CELLS where the year is 2015 or greater - WITH FILTERS ON.
I stumbled upon following sumproduct formula that gives count for visible cells, however when i apply the date criteria, i get incorrect result -
=SUMPRODUCT(SUBTOTAL(3,OFFSET(IJ3:IJ999,ROW(IJ3:IJ999)-MIN(ROW(IJ1:IJ999)),,1))*(IJ3:IJ999>DATE(2014,12,31)))

In the picture below, I need a formula in column E to count the unique occurrences in column A (excluding blanks) if its corresponding value in column B (B1 value) matches that in column D (B2 value). Currently column E is showing the values I would want the formula to return.
Capture.PNG
At the moment I have a formula as below:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(B:B=$D2),--(A:A<>""))
this will do a countif in column A if column B matches the value in column D, but would not weed out duplicates for me.
Modifying my formula. I have attached the sample workbook below.

Suggested formula input: DaysInYear(Date1,Date2,Year)
Examples:
DaysInYear(3/3/2005,3/3/2006,2006) should return 62 (31 in Jan, 28 in Feb and 3 in Mar.)
DaysInYear(3/3/2005,3/3/2007,2006) should return 365

Now, what I would like to do, is see how many of these unique numbers relate to another number in column D

I want to count the unique values between 2 dates. He only needs to count the values that match 2 criteria. I want to know how many unique orders were place between 01/10/2012 and 30/09/2013.
In my Data sheet:
Colomn X: Customer name
Colomn D: Status
Colomn AH: Date of order (Day/Month/Year)
I want to count the unique values in Colomn O: Ordernumbers
This is what I already have:
=SUM(--(FREQUENCY(IF(Data!$X:$X=$A4;IF(Data!$D:$D="BOOKED";Data!$O:$O));Data!$O:$O)>0))
This formula is working. He counts the unique values in colomn O that meet the 2 criteria (Status = "BOOKED"; Customer = A4).
But I don't know how the add the date range in this formula. I want him to take only the values that are between 01/10/2012 and 30/09/2013.
