I have attached an excel sheet and I want to count and report frequencies the amount of X that are occurring from the 'CSR1' book in a table in the 'Frequency' book.
The CSR1 book has 4 sections and I need to formula to adjust the total percentage accordingly if only 1, 2, 3 or 4 sections have been populated with data.

I have a column of equipment average utilization percentages. This column is a dynamic name range called "Avg_Util".
Values in this range were created by a calculation that results in a value of "", for equipment which have no utilization as yet, to those with a utilization of anywhere between 16% to 160% for those with actual hours in service.
I need to count how many have a utilization of <=50% and those that have a utilization of >=150%.
COUNTIF didn't work because it apparently counts the "" values (as zeros?)? I didn't fare much better with SUMPRODUCT either, but that could just as easily be the fact that I'm still new to that function. I get the feeling I'm overlooking something regarding working with percentages here to be having so much difficulty with something that just doesn't seem like it ought to be that hard.
I have a list of YES or NO answers in a sheet. I want to calculate the % of YES in the list. E.G. if there are 100 cells in total and 25 of them say YES and the remaining 75 say NO, the percentage should be 25%.

I have a spreadsheet where i would like to 'count' the number of cells with a particular colour AND SPECIFIC text (not 'any text').
I attach a xls with the initials of the person in column A, their colour as seen in cells in next four columns with the particular text in each cell. Therefore, for 'ABC1', in the given range, I would like to count how many cells have been allocated with the particular colour (brown, do not know colour index) and the particular text (1 or 2 or 4 or 5) in the range A1:CK39. Haven't supplied the actual sheet for confidentiality reasons.
I have a spreadsheet that lists all the work done by employees within a specific area. Some employees cover multiple areas.
I am now needing to work out the average work completed by each area. I need a formula that will count the number of employees by each work area.
I know this is something I have done before, but my mind has gone blank and I can't for the life of me work it out again (it's one of those days).
Row 3 of the spreadsheet contains the codes for the work areas they cover (CM, V & TC) and some employees only cover one (which would be a simple CountIf) but some have multiple.
What is the formula to, for example, count the number of people who have CM in row 3 even if they also have other entries in that cell.
One has numbers the other has "YES" or is blank. I want a formula to look at the second column and where there is a "Yes" then count the number in the same row in the first column.

I'd like to find out how many products represent the Nth percentage of the whole, when ranked from most used to least.
Shorter, if I want to know the Top 25%, how many products equate to the top 25% of all product frequency? ....
I know for some of you this will be pretty simple but im having trouble figuring it out. Attached is a shortened version of what i am trying to do. I want the Percent Attendance column to represent the cumulative percentage(hope I used the correct phrase). So for Person 1, it should currently say 100%, person 2 it should say 66.67% and so on. There are 5 days that i want to get the percentage, but because we haven't gotten to 2 of them yet, using a regular sum formula for the entire five days gives me the wrong values.

So, 100 x $50 = $5000

I am trying to create a formula that shows a percentage of cells within a range that contain a particular number. This percentage is based on another cell, which is the total number of all audits. Each audit has rating columns, with a numeric value indicating it's rating. I need to count those cells within the range that equal the numeric value assigned to the rating, and then divide that total by the total number of audits to obtain a percentage of calls with each particular rating in each category.
Here is an example of what I'm trying to accomplish:
A1 = 2 (Total audits)
B1 = 07/31/2009 (Date of first audit)
C1 = 3 (Rating of first category)
D1 = 1 (Rating of second category)
E1 = 2 (Rating of third category)
F1 = 08/03/2009 (Date of second audit)
G1 = 0 (Rating of first category)
H1 = 2 (Rating of second category)
I1 = 2 (Rating of third category)
The percentage of audits within the first category that have a rating of 3 would be 50%.
The percentage of audits within the second category that have a rating of 3 would be 0%.
The percentage of audits within the third category that have a rating of 2 would be 100%.
What I have is a table (far larger than this example) which details a reference, and then and products under that unique reference. What I need to be able to do is count the percentage of occurrences where product 1 and 2 are chosen together and product 1 and 3 together and so on. So basically I need to be able to see which product options are the most popular choice as a bundle. but have no idea where to begin.
This is an example of my table, but mine has 16,000 rows, so not possible just to count myself.
I have a daily report that gives a percentage based on what is typed into the "Supplier" and "Total Sales" columns but I'm having trouble writing the following formulas since my excel knowledge is relatively low.
1. Where a cell in the "Supplier" column says anything but "Den", "Burrowed" or "Studio Nyx" I need the "60%" and "40%" columns filled with the relevant formula (=B11*60% for example) and the "100%" column blank.
2. Additionally, if the cell contains "Den", "Burrowed" or "Studio Nyx" I need the "100%" column filled and the "60%" and "40%" blank.
I need to convert my percentage marks into values based on competency values. Once again my school board has change the final reporting method. Last year we had to use A, B, C, D. This year it is based on scales of 1- to 5. Since excel cannot have more than 7 nested IF statements I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to have a percentage mark converted into a scale number. Lets say it looks like this (column B is based on column A):
A1 = Hi
A2 = Hello
A3 = Hi
A4 = Hello
A5 = Hi
A6 = Hello
A7 =
A8 = Hi
A9 = Hello
A10 = Bye
After the macro runs, column B should look like this:
B1 = 10%
B2 = 20%
B3 = 10%
B4 = 20%.............
I'm trying to create a formula that takes from "Manual" Sheet the number from colume G2 and multiply it by the percentage in sheet "AllocationRule".
My formula currently is =Manual!$G$2*AllocationRule!$B5.
What needs to happen is that the total number in "Manual" needs to be distributed evenly in 4 rows by the percentages allocated in "AllocationRule".
Right now I can't copy my formula over to the sheet because the "AllocationRule" should stop at B5 and not go further and the G2 from "Manual" should not change for the percentage allocation but should change to the next row for the next month.
And then after I've done the calculation I want the LOB in "AllocationRule" to be displayed in the LOB in "H1913_H1914" but I'm not sure what formula to use.
In the attached workbook i need to take out the % numbers from the text to populate the cells.
the Pay % cell is the % before the / and the receive % is after the /.

I divide the number entered by 100 to avoid Excel automatically multiplying by 100 and the result is displayed in the user form as the correct percentage.

This works well, trouble is when I save and it writes the results to the worksheet, the numbers in the user form revert back to plain unformatted non percentage numbers (ie 5% goes to 0.05)
I need a code that will delete a row if it has a specific text in a specific column.
In this case in column W if there is anything that starts with '>TC' I need that entire row deleted that its in.
Is there a way to make a macro convert '1' to Yes and '0' to No? I have 2 columns (F and G) in a worksheet that contain the value of 1 or 0, but I need to convert them to Yes or No. I have tried some fo the samples but they pop up a msgbox which is not required.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a form in work which acts as a tick sheet for tasks complete on a construction site. When a task is complete I copy & paste from a key of dates i.e. week ending 11.05.15, this allows me to see what week a task was complete.
Generally I only marked off tasks which were 100% complete but my manager wants me to enter the % of the task complete also, i.e. 80% in the box.
So my question is how can I have the formula assume that any box with a date & shading is 100% and any cell with a number i.e. 80 is only 80% complete. I need it to monitor around 150 cells and give me the overall % complete based on what i have discussed.
