Count Total Based On Condition.

I need a formula that will return a total for the number of cases that have been closed within 6 months. Also I need a percentage total for number of cases that have been closed within 6 months. So the conditions are that the case has been closed and within 6 months.
I tried to use a IF formula that returned a 1 if within 6 months and a 0 if outside 6 months and then just SUM() the column, however for some reason that just returns 0. I am using Excel2003

So I have one sheet that needs to pull data through to another sheet (which is a stats summary)
I have a drop down list containing 4 options all of which have to be counted separately on the stats summary sheet. However I only need them counted when a value is input in another cell in that row.
For example: I select option 1 from down down menu, but I only want this to be counted on the stats page when I enter a date in the "date" cell.

I have been trying the whole day to create a formula to solve this but I just can't get it. To make it simple, let's say I have column A filled with different people names, column B filled with Level of Complexity and column C with the Activity (work task) title. This table is fed dynamically, so the number of rows can vary from 2 to 2000.
What I want to do is count how many times a single name appears related to the same complexity, so I can tell how many "simple, medium or complex" tasks each person has in their work queue.
A simple table example would be:
colA colB colC
Dan Complex Build House
Dan Complex Build Shopping center
Dan Simple Take dog to walk
Jose Simple Clean desk
Maria Medium Paint office roof
Then, on another cell I'd like to have a formula automatically telling me that Dan has 2 Complex tasks and 1 Simple, and so on - considering number rows is not a fixed number. What I have so far is this: =SUMPRODUCT((Data!$I$2:$I$457="Dan")*(Data!$L$2:$L$457="Complex"))
But I need to tell a specific last row, and if the data worksheet gets updated with less data (say 450 rows) the formula breaks...

I have been using the wrong formula to count total entries in columns and only just found this error. The MAX formula in cell B4 is: =MAX($B$12:$B$36). If the all the rows are full within range F12:F36, then the MAX formula is fine to count the total within range B12:B36 (25) so I thought. But sometimes there are omissions between F12:F36. If there are 2 blank cells anywhere within F12:F36 for example, then B4 needs to show 23 respectively. In the sample WkBk B4 needs to show 8

I am creating a data base to track Planner compensation. Many of our accounts have 2 planners on the same case. I am trying to learn how I can create a single list of all the planners (from "Partner 1" and "Partner 2") headings which will then total their compensation in a Pivot Table weather their name is under the "partner 1" heading or "partner 2" heading. See the attached example.

I want to match A11:A13 to F8,I8,L8,O8 & R8.
Then count the "1" in cells F11,I11,L11,O11 & R11. Then put the total into cells C11, C12 OR C13.
If A11 = F8 & I8 then count F11 & I11 and put the total in C11, witch would be "1" becauce I11 = b/t.
if A12 = L8 & O8 then count L11 & O11 and put the total in C12 witch would be "2" ...

I have a Main worksheet, 5 Operational worksheets and 1 worksheet containing data tables.

I have the following formula in Excel:
=SUM(IF('PAYROLL TRACKING'!$B$10:$B$452='AE LIST'!$A2,IF('PAYROLL TRACKING'!$E$10:$E$452="No Data",1,0),0))
I am trying to get a count of each employee's clients where data has not been inputted. I attempted a COUNTIF() using an AND() but was unsuccessful. That led me to a previous tip on here where you can SUM() using a formula similar to above.
My result now is #VALUE!

I need to be able to total the number of Y for a given person
in a week as well as a total for the person over 4 weeks.
CountA works for the week But what formula would I need to count
for a specific person over 4 weeks. Col A is in random order. If the person
has no Y the answer needs to be blank and not N/A.

I'd like to set up a count on the total number of customers who are going to Barcelona and having all inclusive.
I've tried using nested if statements with vlookups and a countif but can't seem to get that working.

I would like the TOTAL SOH column to reflect the totals for both warehouse and store count, but I cannot figure out the formula to get it. The way the sheets are loaded onto the system means thay cannot be the same so a simple sum across the rows cant be done. Is there a way of formula to do it ? If there were only a few rows I could do it manually , but the stock is in excess of a thousand lines.

I am looking for a formula with the following conditions:The fiscal year of the business runs from December 30, 2007 to January 03, 2009
There are 13 periods in the fiscal year ending with different date ranges. For example, period 01 runs between December 30, 2007 to January 26, 2008
There may be 3 capital projects completed in Period 01, 5 in period 02, 6 in period 03 and so on
Task:
count the total number of projects from period 01 to Period 13 with the period end date restrictions for the fiscal year. The formula should be able to count the no of projects for each period individually.

Shorter, if I want to know the Top 25%, how many products equate to the top 25% of all product frequency? ....

Can someone please help me with formulas to calculate the # of Unique Customers, #of Items, and Amount for Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 for the year in A2 (which contains a drop-down list).

I have a formula that tests the minimum time in a column. If the time is the minimum it gets a PB (Personal Best) notation. My problem is once a season there is a competion that needs to be recorded on the worksheet however I do not want this time for this competion counted in the MIN test or to get a PB allocated. I have worked out how to ignore the PB but I cannot get the MIN test to work properly. Dates of comp are in Col B, data (times) in Col C and formula for PB's in Col D. When a cell in Col B (Dates of comp) = Region I want the MIN test to ignore the value in the adjacent cell in Col C.

problem is in the same vain as my last thread "Formula to count MIN with condition". In the attached worksheet samples, Col B has competition dates, Col C is time/distance data, Col C (filled down) is the formula that recogises if the time/distance is a PB.
Once a season there is an event "REGION" where I want the formula to ignore the data in Col C adjacent to "REGION". The date of REGION changes every year and could be anywhere in Col B. The first attachment is what the sheet currently looks like and the second is what I want it to record, specifically D11. Even though D10 is a better distance, it would be ignored as it is REGION.

The problem is col B having M type and col C contain their respective ratings. I want summary report.
Rating 2.2 should give me total count, but if you see there are types.
In col A -
DL
RDL
blank cells
so, 2.2 DL = the perticular count
2.2 RDL = the perticular count
Only M type having subtype DL and RDL.
Im col B, there another subtype also like US or FD. For that also particular rating show their exact count.
Is that possible? I want excel formula not vba code.

I've tracking list that has ordered and delivered items for a given month on weekliy basis such as Week1(W1), Week2(W2), etc. I need a formula to count number of unique item delivered on this month.
Item 1 to item 8 delivered and item 10 also delivered in week 4, So totally I need to get the result as 9.
I was trying to use "countif" for validating and counting each row, it's throwing value! Error =1/(COUNTIFS(A:A,A2, c2:c23, ""&0)) i.e., = 1/countifs(unique items from column A, then nonblank cells in column C) but it's giving Value error..
I just need to count the unique item with another condition.
