I am trying to create a golf table that shows how many games are played how many points are given for 1st 2nd 3rd and so on we give 10 pts for 9 for 2nd and so on......

I currently have two columns one for each of the following formulas and then another column that's works on the result of the two together but what I want to know is how do I get the two combined?

I've put the bits that I want to be "or" in red, The first bits are obviously the same and just the last bit needs to be or.
I am basically trying to find out how many games played by the selected team had the first goal scored after a certain time(the first formula)
or the first goal was scored by the away team(the second formula)

There is pivot table for some reason the last column (YEAccts), which sums all the other columns values is exluding the 1st column for some reason. This "YEAccts" shows up fine in the pivot table "field list". And I followed the source for this and it's a table in a different tab that pulls data from an access query connection.
The name of the column that is summing up the rest of the columns is "YEAccts", but for the life of me I can't seem to find where this column is in the source table tab or even in the access query where the data is being pulled from.
How to find this "YEAccts" column? Also, why would it exclude not summing up the data in the first column?

I want for my set of data. The attached .xls is pretty straight forward: the first column is a list of people (identified by their customer number) and the second column is the URL they visited.
Since many people went to multiple pages, there are dupes between the two columns, but all of the rows are unique. What i am looking for is a table that shows as a header the URL (just one) and then the list of people that went to that URL under the header. So it's really just one column of information. It seems like a perfect task for a pivot table.

I'm creating a basic form or templateusing Excel 2010 where the user will fill out information (See attached screenshot) I'd like to incorporate two a check boxes, that when ticked, change the display of the second table, either adding, removing or splitting of of the current columns in to two?
Is this, or any variation of, possible using Excel 2010.

I am trying to track inventory over 160 days in a spreadsheet. Every week I update a table that shows the number of skus and dollar amount that are over 160 days in a table. I have a ton of formulas that will automatically populate once I put in the new weekly data on a different spreadsheet. I want to track the weekly data so what I would really like to be able to do is paste the actual numbers and not the formulas into another excel spreadsheet so I can track the progress over time. Is there a way to just paste the actual numerical number instead of the formula itself?

I am wondering if there is a way to automatically update my pick 3 lottery files by using excel. I use lottostrategies.com to obtain my results. If anyone knows how I might start to instruct excel to perform such a task, please respond. Or if I am going about this the wrong way in as far as thinking excel can perform such a task.

I have a column that adds the total points for each Golfer at each Golf Course. (Column AI)
I've added another column that I want to add the total points for each Golfer from each Course played. (Column AJ)
How can this be done so that it adds each players total points for each Course Played? There could be more Courses as well.
Would I use a: (=IF(Course=Courses,Vlookup(Course,B2:B65536),35,False) with a Sum???

I have selected numbers to play in the table shown above from cell G2:AD7 and celebrated draw result numbers are shown in cells A3:F7
Now, suppose I want to play the numbers, which are in cell G2:AD2 and the draw-celebrated numbers are shown in the cell A3:F3.
Now I want to check cells A3:F3 with G2:AD2 and want to know in which position are the celebrated draw matched with the numbers played.
In this case the result in AE2 will be 3; 22 that means only two numbers are matched with the played numbers. Those numbers are the number ‘6’ which is in the position 3 counting from G2 and number ‘48’ which is in the position 22 counting from G2 again.
The result must be shown in column AE for all the draws as shown in the table above.

I put together about 10 separate macros that will log you into a site using the values in a given cell. I was having trouble with the last one because of AutoComplete remembering the username. So I put in an IF statement, and when I used F8 to go line for line, it works perfectly. However, when I click F5 and just let it play through, it doesn't log in. I tried adding a 5 second delay, but that didn't seem to work. I still get a run-time error when I hit play.

Total 8 hrs.
How can I get the total to display as 8 hrs? not 08:00? When I change the format to "number" it shows 0.33?

I have a userform where I have 2 comboboxes. The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.

I would like to have a macro to automatically generate a statistics table (on the "statistics" tab) with the 5 following fields:
Fragment names / # samples / # of failed samples / % of success / # of variations in the fragment (SNP). At the bottom of this table, I would like to have a cell with the average % of success for all fragments. The data to generate these statistics are on the "gene name" tab (please note that this name will change every time I will work on a new gene). To make things easier, I think the macro should be run from this tab.
1. The Fragment names are displayed in row #5. I use one column per variation per fragment. If one fragment has 3 variations, there will be three columns and I will merge together the fragment name cells. The fact that some cells are merged can be a problem when copy-paste to the stats table (as I would like to get rid of the merging).
2. # of samples corresponds to the number of cells in blue in column A. The number of samples can change from one report to another but is always constant in the same report.
3. # of failed sequences. In the table, I type "Failed Sequence" (if the analysis has failed) and "Missing Sequence" (if the analysis has not been done). When a sample is failed or missing, it is for the who fragment, no matter how many variation there is in the fragment, so I usually merge the cells of all variations for this failed sample.
4. % of success: this is quite easy #sample/#of failed+missing sequence for this fragment
5. # of variation is equal to the number of variations for this fragment (can be 0, 1, 2, etc.). When there is no variation in a fragment, I put '-- in all cells of the corresponding fragment on the "gene name" tab. Fragment 3 on my file is an example of 0 variation.

Recently, the boss showed me a Pivot table & chart, which consists of a list of about 30 user names in the first column. The row headings were the different items they purchased from a vending machine. & when he clicked on any name in the first column, this created a new sheet, renamed with users name, with a small table of results showing what that person purchased.
Problem is, none of us can figure out how to do this. I have created a new Pivot table & chart exactly like the original, but I cannot get the smaller sheet to generate. (Excel 2010)

I have the same issue but a bit more complex. In my case I have an additional amount of columns (let's say dimensions). So for the example given (sales per month) I would add two columns for 4 different regions and 5 machine types (just examples).
The output (that would serve as pivot tabel input) would then have to be a 4 x 5 x 12 x 4 = 960 row database table.
I have tried to accomplish it by customizing the given code but that provedto be beyond my powers ;o)
and some 3rd party software [url]and [url] but non of them is doing what I'm looking for.
The code I'm looking for ideally would count the number of columns and unique records per column and construct the database table from that. So I am looking for flexibility in the number of dimensions also...

I have a static table that contains a list of all posible components for a particular product that we sell. The sheet successfully calculates the qty. of each component required for a particular install.
What I would like to be able to do is to create a new list able from the static one that only shows the components that are needed i.e. those that don't have a zero qty count.
I have seen some examples that come close on YouTube but can't find anything that does exactly this.

i use it to arrange players for every hole during golf tournaments. The present sheet (that i have attached) will allow as few as 2 players per hole. i have been informed that it should not assign less than 3 players per hole. the math in the code needs to be adjusted so that it knows to always start with 3 somes and work up from there. i can do the math on a sheet of paper i just don't know how to code the math . the attached sheet is what a member on the forum previously did for me. i take no credit for it, i am not capable doing what this sheet does for me.

Not sure if this is do-able but I figured I would try. For a golf league coming up later this year I want to figure out how many Birdies, Pars, Bogies, Dbl. Bogies and Others each (20) golfers have during the season. After each round I would input their scores and I am looking for a program that would look at the score of the hole and the par for the hole and figure out what they got 1 under par = birdie, even par = par, 1 over = bogie, 2 over = dbl bogie and 3 over = other.
I started by creating a simple if statement but it ran out too long and my other issue is adding up the number of birdies, pars..etc for each round. Meaning a golfer can have bogies on hole #1 and #2 and the if statement can take care of that but how would get a total saying the golfer had 2 bogies.
Something like this with the - meaning a column.
birdies Pars bogies dbl bogies others total holes
4 - 5 - 3 - 4 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 5 - 8 1 4 2 1 1 9
I would do this each week and total the number of each to keep a running total at the bottom of each column. We play on the same course each week so the pars for each hole can be hard coded.

I run a spreadsheet that manages golf tournaments. i have to group
the # of players evenly as possible on each hole once they are entered into the tournament. since the number of players varies from tournament to tournament the math gets complicated trying to get the groupings right. i can do the math on paper but do not know how to code the math in a macro. this would save me a ton of time if someone can figure this out. i have attached a sample .xls that includes all the info i could think of a person needs to see what is going on. If i am asking to much i understand and will remove the thread.

I am trying to compute the handicap for a golf group. We base our handicaps on the lowest 4 of your most recent 5 rounds. I have no problem selecting the 4 lowest of 5 using the SMALL function. My problem is have the formula select only the most recent 5 rounds. Because everyone doesn't play every day the five most recent scores might be over several weeks and the others might be in the last week.
I am only entering the adjusted score (not hole by hole). The header columns have the date played.
The formula currently shows =SUM(SMALL($F9:$J9,{1,2,3,4}))/4.

I have been putting together workbook for my golf analysis.
Against each hole (1-18) I enter in one row which club I used from the tee which could be any of the following: D,3w,5w,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,w,s.
I also have a row that says whether I have hit the fiarway or not. If hit fairway = 1 if missed = 0.
What I want to be able to do is show the % of times I hit the fairway with each club. This would seem ida for the if function but I'm not quite sure how it would work because the result row is going to need to look at every hole to see if the club used was d,5w,3 etc etc and 'if' so then it will need to look at the row which says 'hit fairway or not' i.e. 1 or 0. This is where I get lost and am not sure if I do need the 'if' function or something else? Perhaps I need additional rows?
