Delete Records From Spreadsheet

What I would like to do is delete all numbers including those with duplicates that have a date of 2004 or sooner. In otherwords, anything from 12/31/2003 and later I want to keep, but anything from 01/01/2004 until the present.

I am using vb6 and I need to Sort records in spreadsheet based on items in column 7. Actually, I want to sort the spreadsheet before executing the count process below. Note: the code below works perfectly, I just need to sort the spreadsheet before counting.

In otherwords, I want to sort the records based on the 7 column before executing the above routine.

Im trying to find out if there are any duplicate records in my spreadsheet. See look at the attached. Cell 6745 down is highlighted in green. I want to check this against all the cells above. need to write a formula so that it marks any products in the green section with duplicate (in column I) if they are in fact repeated.

I have a ListObject table called Table1, and the column name is Table1[Company]. The records have been sorted A-Z for the Company.
The records look something like this

2/1/11 Bob B Company
4/1/11 Bob B Company
5/1/11 Bob C Company
What I need is a sub() to look in the column of Table1[Company] and determine:
The # of records that match the criteria given the Company name, and where they start and end. Ultimately, I'd like to copy and paste this portion of the table to another spreadsheet.
So for instance, if the Company = "B Company", then I could find out there are 4 records and there locations to copy and paste them.

I am setting up a template to use to track candidates throughout their lifecycle. I am also creating a 'summary report' on another worksheet that counts total number of candidates, counts the number of candidates that have been submitted to the client, count of the number of candidates that have been interviewed by the client, etc.
How do I count the number of candidates in the spreadsheet?
In Cells A6:B5, I have "Submitted"
In Cells A7-?? I have dates for those candidates that have been submitted.
Then a new section titled, "In Process"
A list of candidates are contained within that section.
Then a new section titled, "For Review"
etc.
There are multiple sections, so the date in Column A1 may not always be in a constant row, as it depends on how many candidates are within a certain 'phase'.
I have a column I5, titled "Status" This column has a built in drop-down list that contains pre-defined status, for example, "Submitted", "Candidate Declined", "2nd Message Sent", etc. I need to be able to create a summary report based on a count of candidates that fit certain 'Statuses'. For example, count the number of candidates that were Interviewed. This could be a combination of Statuses: Phone screen with client, 1st F2F, 2nd F2F, etc.
(At home, I am using Excel 2003. At work, I am using Excel 2007. So if it's easier to create in Excel 2007, that's fine.)

I am new to to VB Scripting, filter the records. In the attached file there are multiple records which needs to be filtered. Once all the records are filtered, i want to delete the entire row of that record(s). I want to filter column 'F' with the values mentioned in Sheet2. I tried recording a macro, but it is not allowing me to do so as the macro has some limitations. The search and delete row loop The main purpose is to delete the row of the value, if not found, move on to next value in Sheet2.

I have a large (300K+ records) database with a sizeable amount of duplicate records. I want to delete the duplicates but this is not a matter of simply Remove Duplicates; I need to evaluate them before I do.
I am wondering what functions would:
1) select the specific record in a set of duplicates that makes a determination of a status
2) once the status has been determined for the set, delete all other records
Fields in my database:
ACCIDENT NUM (ID field, in text or General format)
DUP (for Duplicate, indicated by a character, for now its a "?")
OCC_KILLED (in Number format)
OCC_INJURED (in Number format)
SEVERITY (in text format)
Here are some scenarios:

Or:

This is the formula for indicating if there are Duplicate records in the larger dataset:

I need to determine the Severity of the accident based on this:
If OCC_KILLED > 0 then SEVERITY = F (for Fatal)
IF OCC_INJURED > 0 and > OCC_KILLED then SEVERITY = I (for Injury)
IF OCC_KILLED and OCC_INJURED >= 0 then SEVERITY = F
IF OCC_KILLED and OCC_INJURED = 0 then SEVERITY = PDO (for Property Damage Only)
I have a code already in place for how to create the value for Severity but it DOES NOT account for duplicate records:
(in SEVERITY field):

I'm having trouble getting this piece of macro to work. I want to delete duplicate Id records in (Cell B12 : B124), but only those with "No" in the (Cell Z12 : Z124) will be deleted.

I'm creating an Excel UserForm where the user can view, edit, and delete records they've entered.
The following code is for Deleting a selected record, and it IS WORKING. But it seems TOO SIMPLE and I want to be sure it's correct and not leaving any loose ends in the Database file that could cause corruption later on....

how to automatically complete with Excel the following task:
1. I have two email databases in Excel: a master database and opt-out database.
2. I need to remove from the Master database emails of opted-out people.
3. Since the databases are large, I'd like to use a relevant Excel function to do that automatically.:
In the master list (column B) I have all the emails from the Master list. I have copied in the column C of the Master list the emails of all who opted-out. I need to remove opted out emails (listed in column C) from the master email list (column B).

I have a spreadsheet titled "PMIX" In Columns A:F Column F has Week Ending date. Each week, I need to update this, i.e. delete the data from two weeks ago and then add the new weeks data. What I am thinking is I enter a Week Ending Date in H1, then I would like VBA to delete all rows where it has the data in H1. I am hoping for a delete function as opposed to a clear so I can shift all the rows up.

I'd like to do is click the delete button and when clicked, it will search for matching records in column A & B and if they match... I'm thinking the code for that is <> but I'm not sure, then delete that record, and shift the cells up. Do this until the search results are empty below the delete button. Like I said, it's probably more understandable to look at the workbook.

I have a range of columns i.e. 23 columns (i.e. B through X). Someone can write records in these columns (starting from B21).
Duplicates are considered the rows with similar data in columns 3 and 11. I know about the removeduplicate method and works really well but i want the duplicates not to be removed. Instead another column shall be checked for date of entry (user will entry date in format dd/mm/yyyy). The newest entry will change the value of the cell in column 4 (islatest column)to TRUE while all other records will be FALSE. This will work with the filtering of data on a pivot table on another worksheet.

Book1 and Book2 are workbooks that I have modified in order to protect private information.
Book1 will have 11,000 records (my example Book1 has only 100). I need to rearrange Book1 such that it looks like Book2. Book2 has 20 complete records from Book1 combined into one single row, and my example Book2 has populated 3 rows only (3 rows x 20 records, making 60 records now appear on 3 rows only).
Macro for getting Book1 to Book2? 11,000 records in Book1 will take a lot of hours to transform into Book2 unless a macro can do the job for me.

I'm trying to delete images from an excel spreadsheet. She had imported several Red "X" symbols and placed them at the bottom of the spreadsheet so that she could click and drag them to various spots on the spreadsheet when needed.
Well, now wants several of the "X" symbols to be erased...the problem is that they won't simply delete and when I click to drag them they stay in the same place and give me a duplicate to drag.

I have created a sample spreadsheet (the real data is sensitive) but I am basically faced with a spreadsheet of many columns of which I would like to remove the 4th,5th, 8th,9th, 12th, 13th etc...
So every 3rd column starting from Column B, and also every 3rd starting from Column C, (every 3rd, and every 3rd + 1 starting from B?), it's obvious what I'm after from the spreadsheet I've provided.
Unfortunately manually isn't an option, this needs doing every week, and it goes all the way across to column HZ!

I have a very large spreadsheet (about 50,000 rows, and to CM of columns) with blocks of data 20 rows high (rows 1-20 are from Building A, rows 21-40 are from Building B, etc). However, not every row in each block of 20 has information in it - some are just placeholders. For example, some blocks may have rows 1-18 filled with data while other blocks may have only 1-6 filled with data. I am interested in programming a macro that would delete the placeholder rows out of the spreadsheet based on a certain criteria. This would probably halve the size of my spreadsheet.

Is this something that can be done with a macro, or do I need to go through all of these rows by hand? Obviously, I haven't programmed macros before (I've taken code and run it), but I've programmed in other languages (Java, C#). Could someone point me in the right direction?

I have a spreadsheet with over 20 tabs - each containing 6 text boxes containing financial commentary. Each month, the tabs are 'overpasted' with the latest month equivalents. This results in the latest month's text boxes sitting on top of the previous month's. I would like to attach functionality that deletes all the text boxes at the start of the monthly cycle - so the 'overpasting' exercise starts with a spreadsheet that contains no text boxes. I have been unsuccessfull with my attempts because each text box has a unique number - which changes every month. Does any VBA script exist to delete all the text boxes in a workbook or tab?
For reasons that are too longwinded to go into, there is no way around the overpasting set-up as summarised above (I recognise this is far from the ideal solution).

I know excel has a built in feature for this but it is menu driven and I need something that is button driven and will allow me to resize the form layout. I have a spreadsheet on sheet 1 with a list of customers and their information. So on column A I have the customer number (i.e. k968, e37, p528,...), on column B i have the customer's name, on column C the street's name, on Column D the house number, on column E the zip code and finally the city on column F.
Right now there are around 600 customers in this list.
I have made a userform with a combobox in which I want to select an existing customer (pulled from the spreadsheet). On the same userform I have textboxes (customer number, name, street, number, zip, city). When I select a customer in the combobox, I want this customer's info to show up in the textboxes. I want to be able to change the info and hit Next to store the changes in the spreadsheet. When I do not select a customer from the combobox, I want to add new info in the textboxes and hit Next to store this info as a new customer. The userform also has a delete button. Then I select a customer in the combobox, this customer (and it's info) should be deleted from the spreadsheet when i hit Delete. So the spreadsheet is variable in length.

How would you set up a macro to delete numbers in a spreadsheet in one column that appear in another column or worksheet?
In other words, if I have the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10 in one column and in the same column, or another column or worksheet I have the numbers 1,2,3,4,5 - I need a way to delete 1,2,3,4,5. I know how to delete duplicates via the advanced filter but I want to have the duplicate and original deleted.
