Excel Question Mark In Box When Print Spreadsheet?

My spreadsheet looks normal and I've been using it for months. Today some of the text characters print out as boxes with a question mark. I tried another spreadsheet with the same result. I reset the printer and re-booted my pc with no luck. I did try the Q&A and used =CODE(MID(A1,1,1)) which resulted in 68. But I don't know what to do next.

By the way, the spreadsheet does not show the question marks, only the print out.

Excel - Add Background Picture To Spreadsheet That Only Shows On Print Area

I need to add a background picture to a spreadsheet that only shows on the print area.

This spreadsheet is being used as a pro forma invoice that can be emailed to customers for them to view & print as required.

At the moment I can add a background image but this appears throughout the sheet and not in the place I need it to i.e. the print area.

Print All Rows On Worksheet Individually & Mark

I have data that is automatically entered in sequential rows down a sheet.

I have set up another sheet to format the data in a fixed print range to print Results labels with a Custom Menu PrintButton2_ClicK() Procedure. After a label is printed I want to change the color of the first cell in the row that just printed and then increment the counter so the next row of data is displayed in the print area.

I spent(wasted) a lot of time trying to get VB to accept an indirect address so I could change the cell color.

The code below works but I think there must be a better way.

Excel 2007 :: Content Shown On Worksheet Different Than Print Preview And Print?

Since upgrading to Windows 2007 (I was already using Excel 2007) I am having issues with the content in the cells on the worksheet not appearing the same on Print Preview and when I print. On the worksheet the cell show to be at the best fit both horizontally and vertically. When I look at the contents under print preview, the contents are squashed from the top and cut off from the left. This happens whether I have the format in Top or Central align and is even worse if I use Bottom align. It is also somewhat worse if I have thickened boarders.

I am using TrueType Fonts.

Using Excel 2010: I have 2 rows (A4:J4 & A5:J5) selected as print titles that I would like to be printed at the top of selected pages. Currently, my document is 3 pages long, and I would like to have the print titles only applied to the first 2 pages. More data will be added in the future on pages 1&2 but the last page (whatever page number it ends up being) should not contain the selected print titles.

Excel 2007 :: Water Mark Shows In Front Of Document?

We have a 2007 Excel workbook with the same "watermark" on every sheet. For some reason on 2 pages of the workbook the "watermark" has begun to show up in front of the data on spreadsheet rather than behind data. How do we highlight watermark and place behind data again? Watermark was added through the "Add Header" function originaly and is working fine on all but two worksheets.

Trying to summarise large (but varied # of rows depending on which project is being reported on) table for specific values. I get the size of the sheet by:

FinalRow = Cells(65536, 1).End(xlUp).Row
FinalCol = Cells(1, 255).End(xlToLeft).Column

As all the search criteria are numbers lists from out ERP System, a 'For' 'Next' loop seems to work on the Auto-filter settings, and only display the matching values. As I am only trying to get the number of occurrences, and not do anything with the data in the sheet, the 'Count' function seems to work pretty well:

How can I replace the '=COUNT(A2:A500)' with '=COUNT(A2:A[FinalRow])' and only count the rows I need to? This sheet can change from between 20 rows up to 50K+. I understand that this may look messy, but have only been playing with VBA for about a month, and I shall tidy it up later.

I am trying to write some code that will extract several pieces of data from MSN Money and print into a spreadsheet.

So could outline the code (or the general idea) that would be needed to extract one data point from the internet (an example using MSN money would be great). I haven't been able to find a simple example that highlights how this works in VBA without the extraneous confusion.

To be clear, I don't want to use macros or the standard excel query tools as these won't, I believe, scale well and serve my purpose as I build up into extracting much more data.

I have a single page spreadsheet. I want to print multiple copies and have a unique invoice number on each page printed in cell O1. I don't want to just send it to the printer as individual print jobs. I would like to send it to print as a pdf in a single 100 page document or if not a pdf then just as a multiple page document.

For example first print run would start at number 1001 and last numbered page is 1101.

Is there a way to create a fixed print area within which you can mess around with formatting without extending or shrinking the print area?

I have tried adjusting the margins settings so that they are all the same, but this does nothing to keep a fixed print area.

I finally found a vba that will print my excel worksheet as a pdf.

I have a report that i want to print from excel. There is 25 pages one for each of 25 different city markets. I would like to print from Excel to PDF. I have Adobe Standard so i can go file print and change the printer to Adobe but each sheet i print it makes me type in the file name that i want to save it. I repeat the process multiple times throughout the month so i would like to create a macro or something that when i can run and every time i print page 1 it saves it in a certain folder as the name Report #1, and so on is that possible?

I have created a macro to print the reports in order but i have been having to type in the name of the file for each report.

I have a Document with multiple sheets in it and I ask it to print entire document which would be 7 sheets (1 Page printed per sheet) but only the first five will print, then it comes up with a second print queue that I need to use and OK to print the balance of them with. I'm printing To a PDF creation program. it saves and Prince the first 5 pages then asks for another new name of the document to save the next few pages. my PDF Creator works fantastic with any other program. I just need to know how to tell it to print as many sheets as I have to print without it doing that. so I can print all sheets in a single PDF document.

Using Excel 2003 I am trying to write a macro to set the print area according to the amount of data in a particular range of cells.

I find I can include this instruction :

in a macro to set the print area to the currently required fixed range of ‘B1’ to ‘D210’.

The problem arises when wanting to alter the ‘210’ by introducing a string variable, say

Using Excel 2010.

I am building a dashboard and would like to maximize the print area so everything fits on 1 sheet 8 1/2 x 11 landscape.

My settings at this point:
Margins:
Top 0.25
Right 0.25
Bottom: 0.25
Left 0.25

Row Height 7.5
Column Width 1.29

Seems small, I know but as I develop charts, titles, infographics, etc... I will merge rows and columns as needed so as to leave just enough white space for clarity while packing critical information into 1 sheet.

My problem - as I keep playing with maximimizing number of columns and rows Excel keeps scaling. Is there a way to calculate the correct number of rows and columns to maximize the available space?
