I have a report that i want to print from excel. There is 25 pages one for each of 25 different city markets. I would like to print from Excel to PDF. I have Adobe Standard so i can go file print and change the printer to Adobe but each sheet i print it makes me type in the file name that i want to save it. I repeat the process multiple times throughout the month so i would like to create a macro or something that when i can run and every time i print page 1 it saves it in a certain folder as the name Report #1, and so on is that possible?
I have created a macro to print the reports in order but i have been having to type in the name of the file for each report.
All, I am trying to generate a print button that prints a specific range without using macros. Is it possible? Currently I am using Follow Hyperlink Sheet Event to print the desired range, this works fine but I want to completely lose the macros in spread sheet.
I am trying to create a Macro to pull from a list and then update the charts and print. I have a list that has over 100 clients. I believe I need to loop but I am not familiar with VBAs at all. Below is what I am trying to accomplish.
Excel 2010.I'm using this code to print user's accessing a file:
[Code] .....
However as someone could just delete the printed user log in the Sheet2, and also you can't use this if you protect the sheet, which defeats the purpose.
I want it to print the log into a separate file. Can I add in the file path/name to this code somewhere?
Since upgrading to Windows 2007 (I was already using Excel 2007) I am having issues with the content in the cells on the worksheet not appearing the same on Print Preview and when I print. On the worksheet the cell show to be at the best fit both horizontally and vertically. When I look at the contents under print preview, the contents are squashed from the top and cut off from the left. This happens whether I have the format in Top or Central align and is even worse if I use Bottom align. It is also somewhat worse if I have thickened boarders.
Using Excel 2010: I have 2 rows (A4:J4 & A5:J5) selected as print titles that I would like to be printed at the top of selected pages. Currently, my document is 3 pages long, and I would like to have the print titles only applied to the first 2 pages. More data will be added in the future on pages 1&2 but the last page (whatever page number it ends up being) should not contain the selected print titles.
I've found some code which works to print certain pages with value in cell A1 but I need to print dynamic ranges on some of the sheets as they will have filters on so the rows ranges will be different each time.
So far this is what I have but the dynamic range part is not working:
VB: Sub Print_All_Worksheets_With_Value_In_A1() Dim Sh As Worksheet Dim Arr() As String Dim N As Integer
I have a "submit" button macro which user would click after he has finished his input. This macro would update a reference number on the worksheet named "orange" and then print out this worksheet.
My purpose is "orange" is printed out with a reference number.
I am trying to make this code works by Toggle botten in Mymenu.
when i press the toggle bottun the copy takes place, then move the curser to distenation and press the Toggle again to past only the comment.
How to make the Toggle bottun inside Mymenu (A menu in the Worsheet Menu Bar).
Sub Macro1() ' Selection.Copy Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteComments, Operation:=xlNone, _ SkipBlanks:=False, Transpose:=False Application.CutCopyMode = False End Sub
I have 6 columns. The 5th and 6th columns are the most important. The 5th contains a figure and the 6th contains a type.
Bascially I am trying to do a basic chart showing the following 2 things. A. Do a percentage chart of column 6 (service) but not of percentage of hoem many lines the product is in. Not based on percentage of how many times Apples are shown compared to other products. I need it to add up everything, then do a percentage of total amounts of oranges and total of for Apples from the figures on column 5. Also, if possible, the pie chart will even show teh actual total figure per product in each (or next to) each pie chart slice.
know the easiest way to do this (step by step) in Excel 2010 and then I can perhaps write a macro for the future?
Currently I have been tasked with trying to develop a link between an excel spreadsheet and outlook. What they want is for a button to pickup new entries into the sheet and then create outlook events based on several criteria. The first been that is put on several shared calendars, second that the category of the event is call "BID" and gold in color. The last part is where specific information from the spreadsheet fits into the event areas (ie. subject, location, start time, body). I did find code that is a possible solution but manipulating it to what i need. Here is the code.
Code: Option Explicit Sub AddToOutlook() Dim OL As Outlook.Application
[Code]....
As you can see for the most part I have been able to fill in most of the program with what i needed. I have column B on the sheet that has r's on it. If there is an r in that column then the macro creates information from that row, else it skips to the next one. so i need a loop. Also like stated above, how do you make it an event and not a meeting, how do you set the category and lastly for the boy how do i set it so it copies the entire row (column A, Column C to Column L)?
Using Excel 2010, I am trying to create a macro to insert INDEX and MATCH formulas on a sheet that reference Tables on the same sheet.
The formula works fine when entered in a cell where I can point to the Table. Now I need to put the formula in a macro where it will automatically reference the first Table on the sheet.
The original file has multiple sheets and multiple Tables on each sheet. No naming convension was used in naming the sheets or Tables.
Can I cycle through all the Tables on a sheet and rename each of them? For example, find the first Table on the sheet closest to cell A1 and rename it Table 1, find the next Table and rename it Table 2, etc.
Is there a way to reference Tables based on an index (similar to sheets)? Is there a Table(1) and Table(2) referencing system? Is it on a per sheet basis or across the entire workbook? That is, can there be more than one Table(1) in a file?
Can I start in cell A1 and find the first instance of a Table and return the name or index of that Table?
Trying to create a macro to run through the following steps when I select a chart and run the macro:
Paste>As Picture>Copy As Picture>As Shown When Printed>OK
I used the macro record feature and when I enter the shortcut it always returns the same chart. How do I get it to run on whatever chart I have selected instead?
I am constantly using this function to copy charts from Excel into PowerPoint presentations and am frustrated with all the extra steps it takes (versus just Ctrl-C).
"How to create a 'main' macro to control other macros within a workbook". I have my individual macros created. There's one macro for each sheet that searches online data and returns the information. I have one of these per sheet (a total of 20 sheets) since I couldn't find a way to have all 20 macros be on one sheet and still work. My trouble is that whenever I'm on my 'main' sheet and try to run the macro which applies to a 'secondary' sheet, I get an error. I have to select the sheet first, then run the macro and it works. Below is the macro on each sheet.
VB: Sub Holding1() Dim DataSheet As Worksheet Dim EndDate As Date [code].....
My problem is to create a macro that will list all folders, subfolders and files in an order in excel. So that I know which folders and files belong to which main folder, more like a hierarchy.
For example, Sourcefolder Subfolder 1 File1
I have code that list all files in folders and subfolders, but it does not put them in a hierarchy fashion.
I'm trying to update a the summary sheet that will run through the 10 worksheets and bring back the entire row (or the columns I specify) that matches the creteria MS.
MS will appear against each row in the same column in all the tabs.
So in the summary sheet I would see all the rows individually that appear in tabs 1-10.
I need new workbooks based on category name in the below list. Respective sheets should be copied from the existing workbook with items as sheet names. List can be updatable.
I thought I solved it, but it was on a different workbook. I am not in pagebreak preview and it's not password protected. Why can't I insert an object to create to assign my macro?
I have a few macros that run in a sheet. After the macros are finnished I would like to present to the user a msgbox that asks if they would like to print. if "Yes" is selected, the print macro runs. If "No" is pressed then nothing happens.
I have found a macro which disables all print features in excel. I have rwo other codes to print. When I put this macro, It also disables the print from the other macro. How can I use this code so that normal print features will be disabled but if someone takes the print from the macros, Print will be allowed. The code which disables the print is given below:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean) If PrtOK Then Cancel = False Else MsgBox "Can't print from here!" Cancel = True End If End Sub
Using Excel 2003 I am trying to write a macro to set the print area according to the amount of data in a particular range of cells. I find I can include this instruction
Is there any way to create a default template that will apply all the same formatting, print options, etc to every new workbook that I create. I guess what I am asking is a way to change the excel defaults for text type, border size/color, etc.
Once a user of my workbook has input various price levels on the Input Page, the data is sorted on the output page. As the data on the Output Page is quite vast and not all of it is relevant on a particular day, the user is interested in just printing a certain range of data that are in 5 columns. I am trying to figure out how to set up a macro that will allow the user to enter into an Input Box the range to print (ie. Cells C25:G60).
I found one example on this site listed below that allows one to do that but I would like to make it more user friendly. I do not want to make the user have to write out Excel cooridinates. Specifically by allowing the user to input in the Input Box a High price level in Column C and a Low Price level in Column C ; The macro will look in Column C for the highest instance of this High Price and begin the range down to the last instance of the Low Price (there can be several instances of the exact price level.) The macro would then create the print preview of the cells Cxx:Gyy.
Sub SelectPrintArea() Dim PrintThis As Range ActiveSheet.PageSetup.PrintArea = "" Set PrintThis = Application.InputBox _ (Prompt:="Select the Print Range", Title:="Select", Type:=8) PrintThis.Select Selection.Name = "NewPrint" ActiveSheet.PageSetup.PrintArea = "NewPrint" ActiveSheet.PrintPreview End Sub
I have a calculator and I am trying to set a macro that will take the cells highlighted copy them to another sheet, change the format to standard( no background color) make the data fit in one page and print it.
this is what I got so far:
Sub Set_Print() ' ' Set_Print Macro ' set printing area and print
how to create a barcode in an excel spreadsheet? I am trying to print out a sheet that includes a code 128 barcode of a specific number that I type in.
