I have two sets of columns in this chart, and two lines on a secondary Y axis. But the first set of columns have their colors reversed. How do I fix this?

3. if i am typing 10, then 10 columns would be blocked with specific color.
What I am trying to do is rank my employees based on certain metrics. They are weighted in three different catagories. Talk time is 40%, Quality 50%, Attendance is 10%. I can weight the Talk Time and Quality, as those are basically the higher the score the better the weight. Attendance is the opposite, the lower the number, the higher the weight. Meaning, if employee has 1 absence that would better than someone who is at 4 absences. Is there a way to do this. I am somewhat educated on VBA, I understand if,then,else statements and/or Select/Case statements, so if I needed to do it in VBA I can. I just need direction to get it going.

As an example, January 04, 1915 is represented as 150104.
How can I convert this number to a standard date format?
I attempted to use the Concatenate and Left and Right functions.
The Left and Right functions will not accept the 150104 digits and they display #Value!
I am using Excel 2003.
However, those two functions do work if I precede the 150104 digits with a text character.
Example: x150104
When VBA copies from a .csv spreadsheet to an excel spreadsheet, the days/months in the date become reversed. So 12/5/2009 becomes 5/12/2009.

Column A has two values called Internal and External. Column B is a title table so the entire column is just titles. We'll say it goes for 20 rows if you need a row count. What I am looking to do change the text in Column B to Red for External and Blue for Internal. I tried the conditional formatting and I just can't seem to find the right option.

I have a column of figures in a file sent to me recently which are dates but for some reason have been reversed eg 20140321. This is 21st march 2014. However I have tried formatting the number as a date (as we would normally see it in UK eg 21/03/14 or similar) and I cannot get Excel to recognise it as a date - I just get a long row of asterisks. How do I get a recognisable date sequence?

Cell A1 has a basic description of what is needed. Cell A2 is blank, but when highlighted, will display more intricate text in the formula bar. I'm trying to adjust a corporate worksheet that's filled out nightly, but add in "helper" cells, so that if someone new doesn't know what number goes where, they can look at the "blank" helper cell.
Also, if this is possible, will the second cell "overwrite" the first, if the first cell's text overlaps? Basic example:
Cell A1 is 26 wide. It's text is 18 pt. bolded, Times New Roman "Brand National Accounts", which overlaps into cell B1. If any text or other information is entered into cell B1, it shortens the visible text in cell A1 to "Brand National Ac". If the "helper" cell is B1, would it make A1's text the shortened version?
I am trying to band columns together in two's and this formula works except for I need the banding to start with column B.

Example:
Column A - no banding
Column B and C - banded
Column D and E - no banding
Column F and B - banded
etc.,
Is there another solution to this without maybe adding a helper row below the data with 0 0 1 1 0 0 1 1 0 0 and do the conditional formatting based off of the helper row?

I have a pivot table full of data that needs a macro/vba/something to loop through it and hide all rows that have no fill color. The table had 210 rows so I want a quick way of hiding the irrelevant ones (only the ones filled in green or red), and so all the ones with no fill need to be hidden. Something like a button to hide/unhode would be ideal.

* note a few formatting issues here:
1. instead of bold and not bold, they are in green or in purple
2. 0 stands for an empty cell in my data set (I tried to fill the empty cells with zeros, but they somehow inherit the colors, i.e. some zeros are green and some zeros are purple; guess that wouldn't be a problem since the desired output they'll all be zeros anyway?)
The following code filters my sheet to show only values less than 0 in column T, (column 20).

how to format a row based on text that is in a certain column. For instance, if a cell in column B has text in it I need to format the entire rest of the row with a certain background color and text color. I've been searching around here for a while and I think I'm really close, but I just can't seem to nail it down. Here's the code that I've worked on so far.

I am a locksmith and attempting to write a spreadsheet app. for my line of work. The output page will use columns A-G and rows 1-?10000? depending on the size of the system. If a 5 pin system is requested then columns A+B will be blacked out. 6 pin system A is blacked out. 7 pin system nothing blacked out. Also, if any cell matches the master key that was input, that cell is filled with red. I know, confusing.
Basically, I am trying to remove the blacked out columns automatically, and to remove the enitire row is any cell in that row is filled with red. Then to remove blank lines.
I have a simple spreadsheet. A column for a persons name and 31 columns, one for each day of the month. I want to apply conditional formatting, either fill color or border color, to the date column of the current date when the spreadsheet is opened.

Finally, I got the data into excel but it's in a pretty useless format... 30,000 rows of contact info with no rhyme or reason. I want to upload this into our CRM, but I need to get all the different bits of info into separate columns. I'm no excel pro, but I managed to use an Excel plugin called ASAP tools to bring some order to this chaos... All names have a blue cell color, all titles have a green cell color, work phone is red, and so on.
Does anyone know a way that I can sort these into separate columns? I've trying playing with the Filter function, but it hides rows which makes the output useless for my purposes.
I want to show 8 members of staff's names, with their sales closing percentages. I want then to produce a chart showing their percentages as a column with a line showing 16% going across the chart showing who is above and who is below the target.

In cell A1, I have the month number (eg, 1, 2, 3,). The month number reflects current month and will automatically change with every month. For example, right now it’s 6, next month it will automatically change to 7. Each two columns in Range A10:X20 represents the data from January to December. It would be great if I could change the bar chart series to match the color of the text in the A column, so that if I highlighted the value in A1 and changed the text color to orange for whatever reason, the chart updates the value of 1.2 to an orange bar (see below).

This makes a cell that correlates to the textbox red if the text in the textbox is red.
Now, I loads of these textboxes that all need to run the same code with just the Offset value one digit higher than the last and I was hoping I could create a loop to avoid a huge block of code but I can't work out how to make a constant that will +1 with each loop.
Also, can I assume that a loop will start with the control with the lowest number i.e. Textbox1 and then work its way through the rest of them in order?
I wrote a macro to color the cell values in the rows based on their average value. For eg if the cell value is less than 0.2 Avg, they should be red color,if value is between 0.2 and 0.5 it should be yellow. This part is working fine
Now based on the color of the rows cells , need to write a macro for the header one. Logic is Coloum header should be in red colour, if in one or more number of rows cells are red. same with yellow ones. Could you please help me out in solving this with logic.
I have attached the relevant spreadsheet for which I need to alter the color of the columns based on Site number ( Sheet 1). % Mortality will be represented in the Y-Axis, and the Site numbers would be on the X-Axis. All columns (% Mortality) except one will be of the same color, and the one of a different color will indicate a specific site. As an example, site 86 is colored differently. The way I require the chart to look is shown on Sheet 1.
After reading through some great posts on Ozgrid, I managed to do this using conditional formatting (Sheet 2), but that sort of falls short because I am required to add a data table to the chart, and the parameter that is indicated by the column bars happens to appear twice in the data table.
I was wondering if this can be automated maybe using VBA, but with the possibility of simply matching the color of columns with the font color of respective entry in the data series.
