I want to highlight rows if there are multiple instances of ID and # values - I included a column at the end showing which rows in this data set would be highlighted.

Apr 14, 2014I am trying to find a solution for highlighting cells in a column that are repeats, ie. >3. I also need these cells to only be highlighted if the adjacent cell in the next column contains specific text. I have tried using conditional formatting with a countifs formula to no avail.

Jun 3, 2009Hi, I'm very new to writing Excel Macro's and wanted to know if I could do the following. Conceptually, I understand what I need done and think it should be fairly straightforward.
There's 2 main events in this loop (I hope that's the correct terminology):
Input 1) User defines the beginning cell to start the loop. In this case, A2.
Input 2) User defines the range of columns/rows to display. The formula for rows that I've thought of is 4r. So if a user wants 20 rows below cells A2, they simply input 5 for r. The number of columns is a constant 5. So if r=5, then I'd want the range to be A2:E22......

What I need:
If the cell is filled, highlight it in green.
If the gap (empty cells) between weeks is =1, highlight it in yellow
If the gap (empty cells) between weeks is >1 but <2, highlight it in orange
If the gap (empty cells) between weeks is >2, highlight it in red

Numeric Values From One Sheet To Highlight Cells On Another
Feb 10, 2010I’m trying to assign building and office keys to various personnel, by appointing different classification levels to each set of keys given out. Very similar in the way an administrator would assign permission levels to individuals.
Question:
•Is there a way to pick up an array of non-sequential numbers from one sheet (values 1 -36)
•Find those values which are assigned to columns laid out as a table,
•Then highlight those found values
I’ve attached a dummy sheet to illustrate my question.
I have not attempted coding this because I wouldn’t know where to start.
Theoretically is this even possible?
Compare Values In Two Cells - Highlight When There Is No Match

I would like to know of a macro that can compare each two cells(start from E2 and compare with E3)to see if the values are NOT equal.
If they are equal, do nothing and if they are NOT, highlight the value.
Example:
compare E2&E3, E4,E5,E6,E7,.... if for example E2&E3, E4,E5,E6,E7,.... each hat same string, do nothing, but if they were not the same highlight it with red.
This code checks two cells and highlights one cell when there is duplicate, I like the opposite one, but don't know what to change!

Formula To Copy To Values To Specific Rows
Nov 15, 2009Column A lists an account code on the summary line of each invoice. I'd like to copy this account code upwards for each individual line of the invoice so that I can summarise each type of charge by account code in a pivot table.
I'm a bit stumped as to how to do it. If possible I don't want to have to modify the data itself in any way so that I can paste new data in the each day without altering it.
I've started on the right with a CountA function for each row, which I was intending as a means to identifying the blanks rows and discount them, but it also showed up that each line requiring an account code to be copied returns a 4 and each invoice summary line returns a 9. I'm just not sure how to reflect this in a function.

Jan 11, 2005I'm attempting to write a macro that will select all the rows which contain a value in a specific column. Say for example, all the instances of "test" in column C, I need to select the entire row with that value in the column.
I should also mention that by using an autofilter, only specific row numbers are selected. The source spreadsheet is dynamic and will not always display the same value in the same row, and thus I need something a little more adaptable.

Feb 1, 2010I'm working on a project for my company. We make plastic tanks and for quality control we want to start recording the thickness of the tanks in different areas/zones of each tank.
Attached to this message is an Excel sheet that I've been working on. From "Sheet 1", it records inputted thicknesses into WorkSheet "1098". On the top of "1098", it shows all of the recordings, and just below that are the "10 Most Recent Entries".
Right below the "10 Most Recent Entries", there are formulas to calculate the Min and Max Values. Whenever a new entry is recorded, the selected cells for the Min and Max formulas change. Is there a way to force the cells to always stay the same?

Feb 27, 2013If I have a column of data called "ColStream" and want to delete all rows that don't contain the string "Production", whats the best way to achieve it?
I have tried a for each loop, with INSTR but as this moves down a cell from the cell whose row has just been deleted, skipping the "NEXT" row in the range, it doesn't give the correct results.
Incidentally, the end game is to copy all the remaining cells to the cell immediately below a cell called "StreamsDatabaseStart" in a worksheet called "ProdStreams" should anyone out there be feeling particularly charitable!

Unfortunately macro copies solely Column A. But I want to copy entire rows between those cells. For example, if A400 contains "Days with most messages" and A500 contains "Subjects with most answers" , this macro copies cells between A401 and A499. But I want to copy entire rows between 401 and 499.

Import From CSV And Add Values In Specific Cells?
May 8, 2014i have a question regarding the import of csv-files. I've seen lots of working import-functions/macros but none of them. So here are my questions:
1) is it possible to import data from a csv-file into specific cells in my worksheet? Let's assume i have a csv-file with 10 INT-Values and they all should be placed in different rows/colums with no regular pattern.
2) If the answer of "1)" equals "yes": how is it possible?
(i thought about importing the csv in an so called "helper-worksheet" and use formula/references inside the table, but to be honest: That's not the solution i like to have)

This is at infrequent appearance i.e. p,p,p,blank,blank,blank,p,p,p,p,p,blank,blank,p,p,blank,p,p,p, etc. I am trying to find or workout a formula that would find the most repetitive Ps in row B2:Z2 and give me the sum thereof. I.e, from the above example it should be 5. It does not have to count specifically P. Something that counts the most non-blank sequence of cells in the range should also do.

Dec 20, 2012I have to correct a spreadsheet that takes a bunch of values and creates an average.
=average(N15;N29;N43;N57;N71;N85;N99;N113;N127;N141;N155;N169;N183;
N197;N211;N225;N241;N255;N269;N283;N301;N315;N329;N343;N357)*100%
I didn't create this. Anyway, the problem is that most of these cells will be empty unless a whole bunch of other stuff is filled. These N cells take several values, put them together and create a new one. As time goes by they are filled. While they aren't filled, they'll return the DIV/0 error.
So when that formula I pasted there uses all of these values, it also returns a DIV/0 error because it is getting info from cells that have this error.
I managed to correct that with this
=averageif(N15:N357;"<>#DIV/0!")*100%
It works like a charm save for one problem. When I use averageif I'm forced to use an interval. Along this interval other values show up (it is always a value ranging from 0 to 2). So when the formula works its magic the results are slightly skewed because of this other value that I don't want.
So I figure there must be two ways around this. The first one would be using something like averageif that lets me use several handpicked cells instead of an interval. If I try
=averageif(N15;N29;N43;N57;N71;N85;N99;N113;N127;N141;N155;N169;N183;
N197;N211;N225;N241;N255;N269;N283;N301;N315;N329;N343;N357;"<>#DIV/0!")*100%
It doesn't work, it says I have too many values. So if I could the exact same thing as I did with averageif but keeping all of these values it'd be super nice.
The other solution, less nice but equally effective I guess, is using this same interval but having more than one criteria. The first criteria would still be the one telling it to ignore DIV/0 error, the second criteria would be the one to ignore any values equal or lower than 2.
