How To Code Combobox To Display Several CSV Files

I am coding my first UserForm. I've gotten some of it working. I need to display a ComboBox that will display 3 different CSV files. Since these will be updated here and there, I didn't think AddItem would work. How i should script this?

When I make a comboBox selection from the dropdown menu, the menu stays down until the last statement of the comboBox code is finished. How do I make the dropdown disappear immediately after the selection is made?

I have a range from a column in my Excel table that is formatted ##-##/##. A number like 1.125 would look like 1-1/8.
I also have some values that are text, such as: #6 (I'm working with threads). I use # because it is not the same thing as 6, which could be 6 millimeters or 6 inches.
In combo box on my userform it just shows the decimal values of the range. How can I format the combobox to match Excel?

I have set up a UserForm containing a ComboBox, listing all suppliers. Upon invocation, the form becomes visible and the user enters a letter on the CB window, to which the CB displays the first entry starting with the user's input.
What I'd like to do is to have the CB expand its window, so that upon entering a letter the window shows something like, say, 5 entries, of which the top one is the first occurrence starting with that letter. Normally, clicking on the down arrow would do that, but I wonder if I can save them the keystroke.

I've got a form with a ComboBox the RowSource of which is embeded in the column A of a certain sheet in the workbook - the values stored in that column resemble time reference, like: 00:00 (stands for 12:00 AM) or 01:45 (stands for 01:45 AM). The problem now is that when I choose something from the list the value that is displayed is different form the one present on the list, like choosing 01:45 we get the number 7,29166666666667E-02. Is there a way to cause the ComboBox to display the proper values present on the list the RowSource is linked to?

I created a data entry form that contains a ComboBox. The ComboBox is based on a range that has three columns and many rows. The purpose is to have the user select an item from the first column, and the other two columns are automatically filled in on the table.
The form works and the data is transferred to the table as it should. The issue is that when you select the ComboBox, it displays the data from all three columns wrapped in two columns. Some of the data is repeated and it looks confusing. How do I have the drop down show only the data in the first column?

I have some vba code that opens up notepad and populates it with data from Access 2010. Everything works great including the notepad function, the database, and how the data is stored and displayed in the table/form.
The problem: I want to display the service name not the ID in notepad
I passed the field that I want to include in notepad as a string. However, it returns the ID and not the name of the person.
I don't want to change anything in the form or field property because it works perfect as is.
Is there a way to pick which column to display in the Email by vba code?
Column 0 = the ID and Column 1 = the name

I would like to have a ComboBox on a worksheet (worksheet1) that is populated by a list on another worksheet (worksheet1). Each time I select something from the ComboBox, it would display text in a cell within worksheet1.
For example, the ComboBox would have "Cat", "Dog", "Cow". And when I select "Dog" from the ComboBox, it would display in a cell nearby "Woof".

I have five comboboxes in userform1, they are link to Column A, Column B, COlumn E, Column G and Column Z of "Reference" worksheets respectively. The values in each column could contain duplicate values. However, I'd like to only display the unique values in those combo boxes and I have no clue how to achieve this.

Im trying to add coloumn heads to my listbox but its just not working
i was using rowsource to use the first row of the sheet as the headings however this just set the values in the listbox to the rowsource. Here is my code

with 06-09-05 0000020 Name as a directory off the current App.path, and 06-09-05 0000020 Name.xls being the name of the file in the directory. It does have a sheet called "Notes". The thing of it is, the hyperlink takes me to the right place, it just gives me an error message every time saying "Reference not valid". How can it be taking me to the right place, and still giving me the error?

I am trying to put this in about 25 cells to point at 25 different files. Basically I am trying to keep an eye on when the files have been updated each morning so that I can then pull off some data from them and who saved it.
I solved the first part (see next post) but I still havent been able to get it a function pull off the username.

I have to compare data in first sheet of two excel files and have to create a log file to display the logs of comparisons.
First workbook is placed in folder C:/Input/ with name as Input.xlsx and second workbook is placed in folder C:/Output/ with name as Output.xlsx.
I have to compare below cells between input.xlsx and output.xlsx.
Cell "B1" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C4" in output.xlsxCell "B2" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C5" in output.xlsx.
Cell "B3" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C6" in output.xlsxCell "B4" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C7" in output.xlsx.
Cell "B5" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C10" in output.xlsxCell "B6" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C9" in output.xlsx.

After Comparing, I would like to log all the comparision in a log.csv, if cell "B1" in input file is matching "C4" in output file , say matching and color it green. If not matching, provide mismatch values from both cells and color it in red.
How we can compare 100's of excel files placed in Input and output folder and create one log file as stated above.

When I started using VBA, all the code for each module was shown in the code window. This was a bit cumbersome when looking for one sub in particular. Now when I load VBA, all the Subs and Functions have their own page, and can be selected from the right hand drop down list. This is much easier for entering code, and finding subs. However, it is sometimes useful to see 'the big picture', so how do I swap between the two types of display?

I’ve found an excel sheet (witch a sample I post) from a Hobby I have, and after looking how it work’s it occur to me, that a similar file would solve I big problem in the restaurant I work. I’ve been thinking about it and I’ve now all the layout of my new-to-be file in my head, and I was going to start working on it, when I found that I couldn’t do one of the basic think on this file. Witch is to make the combobox were you can change the text according to a number or pre-determinate options. I know that you can use VBA to add combobox’s to you excel sheet, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. You can see the example in the cell B4 in the file that I post here.

I have a list of worksheet names in a combobox, when selected using the drop down arrow it takes you to that worksheet. The problem is say I select "ABC" from the list and it takes me to the "ABC" worksheet but when I go back to the summary page the "ABC" is already selected in the drop down box and I cannot click it any more. Is there anyway to reset the combo box so that it goes back to the first selection of the list?

I've created a workbook on whose main sheet there are three activex comboboxes. The first one contains a list of years, and the second one contains a list of months. The user selects the year, and it goes to its linked cell. The user then selects a month, and using the Combobox_Click event, should run a sequence of 7 macros (i.e. using the "call updateinformation1" macro, which is the first of the seven updateinformation macros).
The sequence of macros ran fine before I added the comboboxes. After adding the comboboxes, the final (7th) macro somehow goes back to the first macro and then causes a "ClearContents method of Range class failed" error on the "Selection.ClearContents" line. These are the first and seventh macros:

I have a piece of code attached to a combo box. When selected the code loops through 3, even 4 times for no apparent reason. Has anyone come across this before? The loop can start either after the final "end sub" or part way through (.clearcontents mainly) Have included the code just in case it is something obvious.

On my master screen I click a button that invokes my Housekeeping routine. This involves setting up RecordSets, populating 3 ComboBoxes and displaying my Housekeeping Form.
This is populated and displayed as follows :

Once displayed, the 3 ComboBoxes on the Housekeeping form all have _Change() code that kicks in depending upon which ComboBox I make a selection from … this works great and is what I have tried to use elsewhere … BUT …
When I select the relevant action from the ComboBox in question (in this case it is Rename Team), what WAS happening was that a ComboBox on my next form would be populated & the form would be displayed. I then made a selection from that ComboBox and clicked OK, where I have _OK_Click() & _Cancel_Click() code in place.
I thought it would be a good idea here, to do as above, and once I have made a selection from this ComboBox, the code would kick in automatically, rather than me having to click OK. However, this is where it gets weird … when the routine is called to populate the ComboBox, it initiates the _Change() code for the new userform, even though the form has not yet been displayed!
This is populated differently, as follows :
Case Is = "Rename Team"
EndOfLoop = NumberOfLeagues
FillTeam_Data = "Leagues"
Call Fill_Team_ComboBox(KA_Team_Rename_Form.KA_Team_Rename_ComboBox1)
Sub Fill_Team_ComboBox(MyComboBox As MSForms.ComboBox)

Now, yes, I can see that I am updating and therefore "changing" the ComboBox, but I don't understand why it works using the first method but not the second, I don't understand why code for a form is being invoked before the form has been displayed !!!
I fully understand that it may well be me, I am a self-confessed beginner at VBA, but if somebody could please explain or put me straight I'd be grateful ...

I have a problem here regarding the combo box. The whole Column A has combobox. It would be easier if by just hitting the TAB or Enter it would go to the next cell just like what is usual in excel.
