06/30/08 10,000
08/31/14 18,000
05/31/08 11,000
07/31/09 25,000

and the amounts need to be distributed in columns titled:
Within 1 Yr (From 7/1/07 to 6/30/08)
After 1 to 5 Yrs (From 7/1/08 to 6/30/13)
After 5 yrs (After 7/1/13)
I import date information in text format and need to add to the date. My date info in in column "J" and in Column "K" I would desire to write a formula that allows me to to the following. My data looks like this in text: yyyymmdd
I desire to look in column "E" and I have 3 different variables. "J", "K", "L".
If column "E" has a j add 30 to the years; K add 35 years and L add 38 years.
for Example: 19630923 j = 19930923 k = 19980923 L = 20010923
I am currently using this formula to count dates between 2 date periods If specific condition exists.

I have data table with sales numbers by product, its wheel base, and over platform for months ranging from Aug 2013 - Nov 2013. This data table will populate with the complete month sales numbers after the month has finished going forward.
I have a table to the right of the listing the sum totals for each product (by wheel base and platform) by each quarter (rolling).
Now I need building a sumproduct average to calculate the quarterly average. This is not that simple because not all products (platform/wheel base) were available the entire quarter.
Also PLATFORM 3 in the tables are grouped - instead of listing platform 3a and platform 3b - using this in the formula:
(LEFT($D$2:$D$100,LEN($J9))=$J9)
Because not all products were available for the entire quarter - and the formula will need to count how many months that product, platform, wheel base was available during that quarter I'm guessing "=MOD(MONTH(A1)-1,3)+1" this may have to be used to count the number of months into the quarter the product was available.

I have some restrictions:
I cannot alter the format of Main, except I can add columnsI cannot alter at all the data or format on Apt Report (I cannot sort, filter, pivot, add columns...etc)
Any way for Main to look at Apt Report and give me the earliest and latest appointment?
I have tried the DMIN function but am limited it seems to being able to change Main to accommodate it. I have tried an array with MIN(If but ran into issues with the cells on Apt Report that are blank...it would return those as the earliest appointment....albeit it is correct...but not what I need!!!
The Apt Report will continually be updated to, so I need to be able to search the entire Apt Date column.
I have a table of data (say Column1 to Column 5) with multiple rows.
Column 1 to 4 will have the lookup values in multiple rows and Column 5 data should be picked up using vlookup or other lookup function.
I managed to somehow bring all these lookup values in (Column 1 to 4) in a single column in another sheet. I am now trying to use some lookup or other functions to match this single column and pick column 5 data in original sheet. Result i am expecting is lookup value in first column and next to it column 5 value.
It is basically a lookup wherein lookup value is spread over multiple rows and columns and result column is fixed. I tried using vlookup, but lookup value column and column number had to change every time when i moved from column1 to 4.
Looking for a formula in excel, was thinking of an IF with AND or VLOOKUP?? I have a database in Excel that has

What formula would I use to take a Date (lets say its located in A8) and look up if it is BETWEEN the dates in column A and B above that it would give the result of column C
Examples
A8 = 11/07/99 would give the result of RED
A8 = 03/02/03 would give the result of GREEN
I have 5 columns with different dates to track when certain items expire per employee. Conditional Formatting is working like a champ but the data is growing.
I'd like a way to 'quick glance' at all my people that are expired, coming up on expired (this month and next).
I was thinking if there was a script to run through all 5 columns, if the date was less than today, throw the 1st,2nd and 5-9 column (in that row) into a new table. That way i can keep my big sheet but have another sheet or table that i can see QUICKLY who all needs to get their stuff up to date.
I'm looking for a formula that will look at a sheet of 1500 entries and list the 10 oldest dates held in the sheet.
Is there any way of doing this other than data/sort?
The data that I would need to pull would be the customer name, ref number and the start date. (So roughly, name is column A, ref B, and start C)

how do i get excel to automate quarterly calculation? in column A1 I have Year and column B1 i have months (1-12) i have data in column D1 - H124 - I would like to run a macro where it will pick up Jan, Feb, march (1,2,3) for each year in column A and do a quarterly average right now i manually use =(D35*31+D36*28+D37*31)/90 but i would like to avoid human errors can i get excel to read if column B is 1,2, and 3 run quarterly average? and would excel know that in Feb there is only 28days except leap years?
I have two tables. A list of accounts and the other is a change log. I need to add a new column in table 1 where the value is the amount in table 2 for the correct account and correct validity period.

How can I lookup the value depend on Which year in the period?. I have prepared clean data attached. I use date calculation to find how many days in the period and then divide by 365 day to count the year. But it doesn't work.

When I use data without stacking several info in the same bar, this isnt a problem but when I have this "aaa, bbb,ccc,ddd" in every bar, this gets messed up.

I use Excel 2007 , I created Interest calculator , on Daily basis , to caluculate interest , compounded quarterly.
But I want to make it compact , as d one I created is long enough.
A3 = Principal Amount
B3 = Date of Investment
C3 = Interest as on Date
D3 = Number of Days , amount Invested {comes out of formula set}
E3 = Rate of Interest
Now in F3 I want the Interest amount , compunded quarterly.
Some times NUMBER OF INVESTED CAN BE LESS THAN 90 DAYS TOO...then what ?
I need a formula that will provide monthly and quaterly averages from another worksheet, but only include the months that have occurred. I have the formula to obtain both the averages and quarter totals, but it is counting all months w/in the quarterly range before the months have occurred.

I need to calculate based on my quarterly goal and my quarter to date actual sales what my percentage pacing is.
Now the way i did it is =B5/A5
Do i need to add the Quarter date calculations in there because its not giving me the accurate percentage.

I have a bit of code (See below) which basically looks at a list of data in rows 10:99 and then finds a date that is between cells c1 and b1. If there is one the it puts that date in if not it leaves cell blank.

The problem I have now found is that is the dates in the sheet TR rows 10:99 and one of the dates is outside the range so for instance if the range set by c1 and b1 is 10/3/14 - 20/3/14 and in TR there are dates:
12/3/14
08/3/14
it wont return anything but if the dates are
12/3/14
08/3/14
15/3/14
it will return 15/3/14.
Is there anyway that I can change it so it wont return 0 if the last one is outside the range.
I'm looking to create a small section of VBA code on Excel 2007 that looks for a specific date on a column and then pastes a value on the correct row.
I have weekly dates in columns along the top of my spreadsheet on row 3:
C3 = 07/11/08
D3 = 14/11/08
E3 = 21/11/08
etc...
The row further down the spreadsheet that I wish to use is selected by previous code and could be any row number within column B.
I need a snippet of code that searches for a particular date along row 3, and then once it finds the correct column, it pastes the value in the corresponding cell on my active row.
For example, if my active cell/row happens to be on B18, and the date I'm looking for happens to be on L3, I need to paste a value into cell L18.
I imagine there needs to be some form of HLookup, but I've no idea how to implement this in VBA code.
i have tried: =VLOOKUP(TODAY()-7,A2:M2000,3) to return data that corresponds to a date 1 week ago. Unfortunatley, it does not work because my dates in the array are in descending order. The order cannot be changed... is there another function I can use to return the value I am looking for?

I have a sheet with daily data starting from 01/01/2000. I want to calculate daily averages for each quarter (i.e 2000Q1 value will be the average of values between 01/01/2000-31/03/2000, 2000Q2 will be average of values between 01/04/2000-31/06/2000, 2000Q3 average(01/07/2000-31/09/2000) and 2000Q4 will be the average of (01/10/2000-31/12/2000) etc. for all years afterwards.
I want to have the values in the corresponding cells starting with range ("e2")
