Is there a way i can have a macro find the unique values in these 3 columns and highlight them yellow.
They should find uniques using all 3 columns, not find them within each column.
I included a file which shows what i start off with and what it needs to look like. Also if it matters the contents in the cells are from links. ( i know that matters because you have to put look in values in the code ).
Looking for a macro to find and delete all duplicates and keep only unique values from a column. For example column AS has ACLU0403598 ACLU0403598 ACLU0403598 ACLU0406600 ACLU5165518 ACLU0406581 ACLU0406581
All red items need to be removed and keep only green items. Would also like the entire row the duplicates are in to be deleted.
I want to identify the 2 minimum valued greater than 0.00% in rows with percentages only. Then identify the 2 maximum values greater than 0.00% in rows with percentages only. The sheet changes in size (rows and columns) each day. C4 Row 4 is a constant starting place if that is necessary. I have been tweaking this code all night, but no luck. I keep getting a highlighted yellow error in editor @ oRg.Find(What:=iMin, _ I also don't know what an oRg is, I am using 2001, that may be the problem.
I have a spreadsheet that holds customer information. What I want to do is find how many customers there were last month. I have a cell (C1) which has last month displayed as 2009/05. A1 holds the customer ID and B1 holds the date they used us. Each customer may has used us many times and I'm having a nightmare trying to solve this.
What's the formula that will search a column of values and "pull out" only one of each unique instance? The expected result, then, for the following data-set would be 4,5,6,7,8,9.
I filtered the data based on the column1 using vba. Then after that, the filtered data in column2 have repeat finance accounts. What i need to find the unique finance accounts under the column2.
Is there any methods to find the unique value under the column2?
I have a large spread sheet. I need to find 38 accounts in the spreadsheet, highlight them across the span of the spread sheet and then do a sum if to the side. I need to use this Macro monthly on a new ageing and some months some of the accounts may not be in the ageing.
I use this formula, but it only works if I provide the first name on the list, otherwise I get 0 in all rows, instead of the unique values in alphabetical order.
I need a Macro (not formula) which compares the comma separated values present in Column "I" with individual values present in Column "D" and generate the count of unique values in Column "J".
I have a wookbook with serial numbers in column A and barcodes in column B. There are 51940 rows in total.
Is there a way I can search through column A, and for each unique value found , concatenate all of the barcodes that relate to that serial number in column C?
There are three sheets in the workbook, Project, Tasks and Details and the expected resulting sheets are RESULT, In_Tasks_but_NOT_in_Projects and In_Details_but_NOT_in_Projects .
But now what I am looking for:
1. Copy the Projects data as is in the RESULT sheet.
2. Then in the Tasks sheet, if the ID matches paste the matching rows under the data from Projects (as in the result sheet with Orange colour)
3. If the ID is present in Tasks but NOT in Projects then copy it into the In_Tasks_but_NOT_in_Projects sheet.
4. Then If the ID and the Name in the Details tab matches with the data in the RESULT sheet then paste it under the ID and Name (as in the result sheet with Green colour)
5. If the ID does not match the ID in the results sheet then copy that row into the In_Details_but_NOT_in_Projects sheet.
The result of the current macro that RHCPgergo worked with are in the last sheet.
The formatting and colour of the rows doesn't matter, it is more of nice to have.
I have a main workbook that is meant to summarize data from other workbooks
In Row 6 from column H on I have workbook names in each cell
Column G in all workbooks (including the main one) contains our branch #'s for our offices
For each workbook listed in row 6 , I need to open that workbook (I have that setup with the code below---notice there is an AX.xls that is appended to the file names listed in row 6 in order for the names to match what is in the windows directory)
In the newly opened workbook, I need to, for each value in column G, copy the value from adjacent cell in column H (the dollar value) then search column G of the main workbook for a matching branch and paste the value to the appropriate row under the workbook name column (remember workbook names are in row 6)
The trouble is, for each branch in column G in the newly opened workbook that cannot be found in the main workbook, I need to paste the new branch # at the bottom row of/in column G and the $ value (H column value from the newly opened workbook) to the corresponding row under the workbook name column
Sub OpenWBs()
Dim Rng As Range Dim WB As Workbook Dim MyPath As String Dim lastCol As Integer Dim newRange As Range
What I want is a macro that will give me the total of unique values within a given column. I would like the macro to give the total either at the end of the column or with a popup displaying the total.
Suppose in Column F
1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 ---- The macro would place 3 at the end of the column as the total of unique values or have a pop up that says 3.
Assist me in developing a macro that would search for unique values in column A and then place a "1" in column N of that row to signify it as the unique value. I am trying to do this in order to get a unique count of projects listed because the list I receive has multiplie occurences of the same project # in column A.
I have a spreadsheet that lists employees and their certifications. If an employee has multiple, then they will show up on as many rows as they have certifications.
The macro I have merges them into one row with a line break, but only the first column's unique value has been merged while the other columns containing their own unique values are duplicated when I want them to show up only once. Example: Jane Doe shows up 2 times on the report. Her name should only show up once on the row, not 2 times with a line break.
Here is the code. I have also attached an example of what I need. Because the attachment is a simpler version of the actual report, is it possible to specify which rows have the unique values and which ones don't?
I have a large amount of data and I'm trying to count how many unique values I have in one column. I also want to know how many times each duplicate appears. I tried using a pivot table but it's not working for me.
I also tried the following formula: =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(H:H,H:H)>0,1)) but it's not quite working.
This is a logic based macro that needs to compare values in 1 column above a specific cell and take action until the column has no more data. Here's what I'm trying to do (and I've also attached a sample of desired results):
1) I want user to input starting cell. So I need to create a button for that.
2) This is where the logic begins and I'm having difficulty. From cell defined in button, I move up one cell in that column and compare that value to the original cell.
If the value is greater than original cell then logic needs 2 outcomes:
a) move up 1 cell in column and if that value is less than original cell, then extract that value and copy that value one cell to the right or 1c. b) move up 1 cell in column and if that value is greater than original cell, then move up again, until find lesser value than original cell. Once we find value less than original cell, extract value and copy value one cell to the right or 1c.
How do you write an excel macro that looks at the number in the first column (day #) and finds all the duplicate id#s in the second column that are in day 1and adds the amounts together in the 3rd column then writes the first column number (day#), second column number(id#) and the third column (sum of the amounts of duplicate Id#) to an new worksheet. Then the macro would loop through day #2 and do the same thing. Notice that the values in the id column are unique in this data set below this is how I would like the data to look. I have accomplished this in a pivot table but my problem is I need a cvs file to export the final data into an external database which is why I need a macro.....
If I have multiple entries with different but repeatable text values in one column - how do I count all unique ones ? Is there a function or does it have to be a pivot table of sth ?
See attached spreadsheet for reference : MacroHelp.xlsx
I would like the macro to look in column I, and when it finds "TRUE", I'd like it to copy and paste values in all the cells to the left of it.
Reason being is that I want to rid the row of its formula, so the next time someone changes the info (the date the vlookup is searching for) in the tabs those cells are referring to, I will not lose the data it returned previously.
Really all I want is to copy and paste the values in the lowermost row of new information for each plant, but this is the best way I can currently think of.
I've removed the tabs the cells in columns B-G are referring to for sensitivity's sake.
I am currently working for data validation team. I have to validate tons of data every week so it would be great if i could remove dupicates.
I want to compare two worsheets, sheet 1 has the order number with description (which i have to find) for the current month and sheet two has got standard report from the past week giving all the order numbers with no description. I need a VBA based macro to find all matching order numbers which are in sheet 1 column A, in sheet2 column A and return the corresponding value in column B in sheet 2 and also return the description in Column C.
I have a report that I pull that I pull fairly often that is in this format and shows which footage of products each store is getting (out of over 1800 stores)!
Above is the format that it comes back as. And here is a spreadsheet that shows what steps I take to find correct values in detail.
So each FTG has an ID# and Desc. The ID is in text format and each ID is seperated with a comma, no space. Description also. Date is seperate by a space and comma. Stores change footages a lot so I want to find out which footage is effective today (1/27/2014) For ex: Store 63 would have the 5ft effective right now because we are between 5/23/08 and 5/22/14. So each ID# and Ftg Description is in the same order as Date.
When I have hundreds of stores, it is difficult to go through and get each one (even with the way I've been doing it.) But my ultimate goal is to create a macro to put only the current footage ID#, Desc, and Date in Columns C,D,and E. I'm not sure even where to start with doing a macro.
I usually just find the store with most ftgs, count them, insert that many rows after ID and Description columns, then do a text to columns (comma, delimited), sort by 2nd date column (so they all come up top) and then manually go through them and delete unneeded columns once I have them all.
I have an excel workbook with 60 sheets (each contain data in the same categories and in the same column locations, just different information on each sheet). What would the VBA code look like if I wanted to manually enter the find and replace values and perform the function (find and replace) across multiple sheets in the workbook?
I have some data with recurring key values and differing values in the second column, I need to produce a unique list of key values with the second values concatenated together.(See below)
The data can be 10 rows to 5000 and I can have anything from 5 to 150 sheets (Separate data sets), a macro would go a long way to keeping me sane.
Sample data Required Output A | B Z 1| 10 | a 10,a,b,c 2| 10 | b 11,a 3| 10 | c 12,a,b 4| 11 | a 5| 12 | a 6| 12 | b
1. Using a formula, I am trying to to obtain a list of unique values (string) (caveat: see #2) from the range E2:E10000 (arbitrarily chose 10000 - the row number is variable)(see #3).
I currently have a formula that seems to work for this purpose but I don't know how to add the condition in #2 (below)
2. To include all unique string values except those starting with the letters "IC"
3. Is there a way to make this formula so that it can only seek values up to the last row, and not go to the 10000th row if not necessary? The E column has no empty cells until after the last row that contains data.
Here is the formula I currently use which serves #1 (above):
[Code] .....
Any way to improve/simplfy this formula for the purpose describbed in #1? How can I add the condition in #2? Can you see a way to include #3? The most important issue here is #2.
Example of desired results:
Column A | Column B AA | AA DD | CC AA | DD CC | DD | DD | IC | IC |
I'm running into an issue trying to calculate unique values in a Data column based on a few variables in other columns.
My current formula in Summary tab D4:D19 is {=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(IF(Data!$I$3:$I$66<$E$1,IF(Data!$A$3:$A$66=$H$1, IF(Data!$C$3:$C$66=A4,ROW(Data!$I$3:$I$66)))),ROW(Data!$I$3:$I$66)),1)) + SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(IF(Data!$I$3:$I$66<$E$1,IF(Data!$A$3:$A$66=$I$1, IF(Data!$C$3:$C$66=A4,ROW(Data!$I$3:$I$66)))),ROW(Data!$I$3:$I$66)),1))}
This is currently counting the number of times a date value (data column I) appears for that name (A4:A19) in the data when meeting all of the conditions. I need it to instead count the number of times a unique date appears for that name with the additional conditions met (which all appear to work fine).
The results in the pink highlighted cells (Summary column D) should be:
Names starting with A - 3 All others - 2
I've left some other columns in the data with X's so that I can easily convert this back to my working spreadsheet.
