I've workbook contain Sheets 2716 having same column heading data in each sheet in 1st Row, also having some columns blank in between these heading so can you give me solution on it on the basis of column heading names below data in single sheet of all these sheets data.
trying to copy data from multiple sheets to one single sheet. I am pretty sure this is possible. The problem I am running into is that the number of sheets at any given time is dynamic. The numbering of the sheets is from 000 to 999 (they must be a three-digit code). The other issue I am having is I only want to copy the rows in each sheet that have an "x" in column "A". Also, the row in which the first "x" occurs can differ from sheet to sheet. I have attached a copy of the spreadsheet that indicates how the spreadsheet is layed out.
I recieve a daily spreadsheet with ~25,000 rows of data and is 4 columns wide. Each day I need to break the data equally up into 19 or 20 different sheets within the same workbook. This is very time consuming as I need to copy the first ~1,000 rows and paste it into the first sheet, then I need to take the next ~1,000 rows and paste it into the second sheet, and so on.
I have attached a small example with desired output. In my example, the raw data file contains 19 records. For these 19 records, I need to distribute the records evenly between 5 individual sheets. In this case, each sheet will contain 4 records or less.
The worksheet is formatted as follows: It contains data in columns A-L. I want to breakdown the data further into sheets according to the data that is found in column G. As an example, say I have 1,000 rows of data and in column G there are a number of different branch numbers in each row. So there may be 250 rows with branch 450, another 250 rows with branch 360, another 200 rows with branch 777, and finally 200 rows with branch 888. In this case I want to create 4 new sheets (450, 360, 777, and 888) and copy only the data in the main sheet that corresponds to same branch.
Actions would be as follows: copy 250 rows to tab "450" copy 250 rows to tab "360" copy 200 rows to tab "777" copy 300 rows to tab "888"
Any comments are much appreciate. I have attached a data sample along with desired output, if needed. One note: the data comes in each day as one single sheet of data and the number of branches varies day-to-day, as such, code would need to create new sheets for each branch found.
I have a workbook containing about 20 sheets. I need to find a way of pasting all the numbers in the A column in each sheet (sheets 1-20) to the last sheet so I get a great big list of all the numbers in the 20 sheets. How would I go about doing this?
Right now I'm cutting and pasting from sheet 1 to my last sheet, then from sheet 2 to my last sheet, then from sheet 3 to my last sheet... Is there a quicker way? The ranges in each of the sheets start at A2 and go down a few cells. Sheet 4 might have 4 numbers in the A column, sheet 12 might have 47, sheet 17 might have 8 and so on.
How would I go about getting all the A columns in the sheets to the last sheet?
I'll throw up a few screenshots if the problem is unclear
I am attempting to create a macro to generate emails based on data in a sheet. The goal is to run the Macro, and have it generate emails to send to contractors letting them know what they are going to be paid. For instance:
Name in Column J Email in Column L Memo in Column N Balance in Column T Due Date in Column P Week Ending Date in Column H
Now what I would like to happen, is to tie a macro into a button that will create the email as follows:
To Field: Email address from Column L Subject: "Company Payment Remittance Payment Date *Date from Column P*" Body: Hello *Name from Column J*, For *WE Date in Column H* you will be paid *Balance from Column T* for the time worked of *Memo in Column N*
Now the tricky part is that I want the email to contain all line items for each email address. So instead of sending one email per line, have the macro automatically put all of the information that needs to be sent to one email address into the message. I don't know if that is possible, but it sure would make my life easier if it was.
I have attached a sample workbook of the data that will be used
Workbook1 has only 1 sheet (Sheet name is Final) with multiple rows Tiger,Lion,Goat etc..
Workbook2 has multiple sheets (Tiger,Lion,Goat .... so on)
Each sheet Tiger, Lion, Goat has different no of rows but same no.of coloums.
I want to copy the data from all the sheets in Workbook2 to one sheet Workbook1
ie., once i execute my macro the final output in Workbook1 should contain Tiger under that all the rows from sheet tiger(Workbook2),Goat under that all the rows from sheet Goat(Workbook2) ,Lion under that all the rows from sheet Lion(Workbook2).
Here rows should be inserted in Workbook1 and in these inserted rows we should copy data from respective sheets of Workbook2
I have an master excel file with 20 sheets with names x,y,z,a,b,c,f,.... Each and every sheet has data which start from Row 7 and Column 2. Now i need to consolidate this data in one sheet in another excel file.
Consolidation should be like
Suppose X sheet has 20 rows and 4 columns of data which starts from Row 7 and Column 2, this data has to be copied and pasted in my new excel file copied on my desktop. Now first 20 rows are occupied in new excel file.
Now code should move on to master excel file Sheet Y which has 45 rows and 4 columns of data which starts from Row 7 and Column 2,this data has to be copied and pasted in my new excel file from row 21, which means Master excel file sheets has to be clubbed to one consolidated excel file.
In All the sheets in Master file Data starts from Row 7 and column 2.
Data range varies row wise in each sheet but column length is fixed to 4.
I have the office 2007 Suite.I have a small business, where i sell online mostly. I'm creating a simple spreadsheet using Excel 2007, a workbook that has simple financial statements.
I'm creating a list of customers along with what they order, what they paid, how they paid, (paypal, cheque) etc, The first column is the invoice number, and each is unique to each customer. I add as i get orders. so my list of invoices has the following fields as column headers
Invoice Number Customer Name, Paid by Paypal, Paid by Cheque, Amount, Cusotmer email, Customer address, There are more and i won't list them all. Now each time i send an order, i have to fill in the excel worksheet. I then create the invoice separately in Word 2007 which i print to send to the customer with the order in the mail. The third step is sending an email to the customer upon despatch, using Outlook 2007.
I don't want to use accounting software as that is too complicated for my simple little business. What i do want to do however is combine all three tasks instead of having to open different programs and copying and pasting between them. I'd like to be able to add the data to Excel either using a form (ideally) or direct, then i'd like to be able to click on the "customer email" field to send a confirmation email to the customer, and also to be able to have an automated invoice, either in excel or Word, which draws the information automatically for each invoice, so that i only have to print it.
At the moment i'm doing all 3 tasks separately, when i know they can be automated.
1. I have about 20 columns of data for each invoice, ideally i'd like to be able to enter them from a form as it gets cumbersome going through them all in Excel. The form could be either in Word or Excel, which would be easier?
2. Using the invoice number as the unique field, how can i create an invoice that would draw out the required fields from the Excel data automatically, just by clicking a button? I dont' mind using either Excel or Word, whichever is easier, and i do have Access too, but i don't know if i should use that, or not. I don't need to draw any other data. I only want to print invoices and send confirmation emails.
3. After printing the invoice and posting the order to the customer i sent them an email confirming. Again i have to manually enter or copy and paste data in the email, which i know could be automated, if i create a template, and have some fields that are automaitcally populated using the fields in the date already entered.
These fields ususally include the total paid, currency paid, address, name and how many ordered. All of this could be automated, but i'm not sure how to do it.
I have a number of worksheets and need to move data from the same cells of each work sheet to a summary worksheet. I manually entered the cell id's for the first sheet.
Example =Jan!M6, =Jan!N7, =Jan!O9 etc.
I know I should be able to automatically enter these same cells for the remainder of my worksheets with out manually going in and typing each one (there are a lot of entries.) I just can not remember how to do it. The next sheet is named "Feb" and "Mar" etc.
I have a workbook with many sheets of similar but not identical data. I need to extract columns from each sheet based on 5 header criteria and paste them to a single sheet. Each worksheet contains these 5 criteria.
I've been working with the VBA script I've pasted below. It's grabbing the 5 column criteria that I have in sheet 12, and comparing them to sheet 1 in the workbook, then copying them to sheet 12. This much is good, but I need the script to also return the data from the other worksheets as well. I've tried modifying the script based on other loop functions in other scripts I've found, but I'm not having any luck.
I need a Macro which pulls the data from different sheets of excel (which is not formatted properly) to Main Sheet. Also some of the columns will not have the same names, so macro should handle this exception as well.
i have two sheets, one to display results (Reults tab) & the other tab containing the data (Data tab)
what i am trying to do is some how create a search function and have a forumula which contains a LIKE function that looks up the data table RANGE = Data!A2:K255
the search needs to lookup the primary column Data!B2:B255 ... if any results are found .. show them on the results tab.. and if multiple results are found, display those as well.. (in either instance, the whole row of information in respect to the results need to be dislayed and hopefully no duplicates are found .. eg, Data!A:K of a hit)
is there a formula that can achieve this? oh, the search is TEXT based and there should be no empty cells within the dataset
after some MASSIVE googling, i have stumbled accross this
B1 = Search box (txt field)
A6 (which will be a hidden column) contains =MATCH($B$1,Data!A2:A255,0). this formula provides the first instance of the result and provides the row number
A7 contains =MATCH($B$1,OFFSET(Data!$A$1,A6+1,0,8-(A6+1),1),0)+A6. this is supposed to look for the next row number which contains a match and provide that row number
and througout my other columns, i have B6=OFFSET(Data!$A$1,A6,1) B7=OFFSET(Data!$A$1,A6,2) B8=OFFSET(Data!$A$1,A6,3) and so on
2 things i cannot recitify..
1, the match has to be EXACT ... unfortunately i cannot use exact .. needs to be LIKE .. eg, i cant use the search word "boat" as the range of data has "boats" 2, it comes up with multile .. irrelevent results.
get the code for sending multiple emails as per the spreadsheet list. Assume the spreadsheet has 100 line items and each columns specifies the name of the person, value, recipient email address ("To" and "CC") and sender name.
And the Body of text is :
Hi "Name of the person" Please find the value of "Value" to be paid for the moth of xxx and kindly let me know for further clarification.
Sheet 1 has a list of unique ID numbers for several people. Sheet 2 is a master list of unique numbers for the entire population plus emails. Can i use a formula in sheet 1 to match the emails from sheet 2 to the unique id numbers in sheet 1?
The code below enables entire workbook protect/unprotect, however ultimately it refreshes a particular sheet (sheet 8 in this instance) when the relevant data table is edited.
I have 7 sheets (one is the data table and the other 6 house pivots that work off this data table). What I want to happen is for the code to enable the unprotect, refresh and protect of all the sheets exactly like it does for the current sheet 8 (I am simply new to this an am unsure of how to write the code to make the refresh happen for all sheets).
I have inserted the following code in the 'ThisWorkbook' section to allow for to sheet protection macro to work:
Along with the following code in the sheet 8 section to enable the refresh macro to work:
I am working on a project to automate the import of data and fixing the formatting.
The data contains the date in column A and time in column B. The time is in increments of 15 min for each day. The rest of the data is in columns C:F. Some of the dates don't have all of the times within the day (so instead of 96 rows of data per day, there maybe 80 rows). I have a second sheet of just dates and times that has the correct amount of rows for each day. What I need to do is have the rows data that matches in both the date and time column from sheet 1 copied over to the corresponding date and time on sheet 2. Blank data rows on sheet 2 are fine. I have found some stuff on .Find, but the stuff I found was for specific searches.
Sheet 1 7/27/13 12:00 AM 1 2 3 4 7/27/13 12:15 AM 5 6 7 8 7/27/13 01:00 AM 9 10 11 12
Sheet 2 7/27/13 12:00 AM 1 2 3 4 7/27/13 12:15 AM 5 6 7 8 7/27/13 12:30 AM 7/27/13 12:45 AM 7/27/13 01:00 AM 9 10 11 12
I am trying to create a Macro for taking information from a master sheet "sheet1" and dumping it into another worksheet based on a single variable in "sheet1". I have attached the excel workbook for reference. In detail, I would like to pull all of the rows where cell "F" in "sheet1" equals "1" and dump them into the new sheet titled "Dept1" with the same headings. The same for all rows where cell "F" in "sheet1" equals "2" to dump into the new sheet titled "Dept2".
I have a My.xlsx file that has data for single month and I want to make a single file in which I can have contents for whole year by copying this file 11 more times in the same excel work book. Finally I would have 12 sheet in a single workbook.
E.g. Jan-14, Feb-14, .... ,Dec-14
I don't need any calender data just 11 more copies of my original sheet in a single work book.
I have a worksheet entitled 'Data'. In this worksheet there is a table consisting of 4 columns plus relevant data:
Project Benefit Type Delivered or Enabled Benefit
PJ1 Financial Delivered Saving of $4M over 24 months.
I have been trying to create a formula that will enable me to pull data from the 'benefit' column(column D) so that the cell contents populate in a single cell in a table in a different worksheet.
Financial - Delivered Financial - Enabled Tech - Delivered Tech - Enabled Green - Delivered Green - Enabled
So, as an example, I am hoping that a formula can be created which pulls the text from relevant cells in column D when criteria from columns A, B and C are met e.g. Tech benefits that are Delivered in PJ2 would populate cell E3 ('Tech -Enabled') in Table 2 with:
many times i am confrunted with excel files containing one sheet that has many tables on it. i need to print each table so that it fits on one page, but these tables are not formatted so that they fit, therefore i need a fast way to make each table fit on 1 printed page, no matter how big it is or how it is centered on the page size from page layout(many times the table is bigger than the page layout size). i tried selecting each table holding down ctrl and then hitting set print area, but most of the times this doesnt work, i still get part of the first table and the begining of the second table on the second printed page and so on, which is not good.
Excel 2007. I have an Excel file that contains a data dump from an external database file with numerous analytical sheets that perform calculations. Some of these calculations utilize the SUMIFs function that was introduced in Excel 2007. This function does an outstanding job of summing a column on the data sheet based on multiple criteria.
However, someone high up in management in my organization would like to "drill down" into the data behind the
SUMIFs formulas to get a quick snapshot of the lines in the database that roll into the SUMIFs formula. =SUMIFS(DataBase!E:E,Data!A:A,C7,DataBase!B:B,D7,DataBase!C:C,E7,DataBase!D:D,F7)
If I double click on a cell with the formula above, Excel takes me to the Database tab and selects Column E which is close, but not exactly what I need. What I really need is for Excel to only show the rows on the database sheet that make up the total in the SUMIFs formula and not the entire data dump from the database.
At present, we have to manually apply the autofilter on multiple columns to show the rows in column E that make up the total in the SUMIFs formula which is a tedious and time consuming task. Is there a way to force Excel to do this? Suggested custom database application or pivot tables, but we do not want to reinvent the wheel.
I have a workbook with many sheets labelled as mmm-yyyy. The constant columns in all the sheets are C,E,R,T, and U.
Is it possible to have a macro do the following: Add a sheet called Summary at the end of the workbook. From the last sheet of mmm-yyyy, copy columns C, E, and R to the Summary sheet. Copy columns T and U from all the other mmm-yyyy sheets to the Summary sheet. All the cells need to be centered.
This is probably a VBA thing, but there might be a simpler solution. Either would be grand!
Basically, I have a four sheet workbook that needs to be printed out in its entirety (no problem doing that ); however, I would like the final sheet (called "Room Data") to be printed, let's say ten times.
So basically I'd get a single print of the first three sheets and ten of the "Room Data".
Any ideas on how to do this without having to manually print the final sheet multiple times or creating ten identical sheets in the workbook?
