Simultaneously Copying Data From Multiple Sheets To A Single Sheet

I have a workbook containing about 20 sheets. I need to find a way of pasting all the numbers in the A column in each sheet (sheets 1-20) to the last sheet so I get a great big list of all the numbers in the 20 sheets. How would I go about doing this?

Right now I'm cutting and pasting from sheet 1 to my last sheet, then from sheet 2 to my last sheet, then from sheet 3 to my last sheet... Is there a quicker way? The ranges in each of the sheets start at A2 and go down a few cells. Sheet 4 might have 4 numbers in the A column, sheet 12 might have 47, sheet 17 might have 8 and so on.

How would I go about getting all the A columns in the sheets to the last sheet?

I have an master excel file with 20 sheets with names x,y,z,a,b,c,f,.... Each and every sheet has data which start from Row 7 and Column 2. Now i need to consolidate this data in one sheet in another excel file.

Consolidation should be like

Suppose X sheet has 20 rows and 4 columns of data which starts from Row 7 and Column 2, this data has to be copied and pasted in my new excel file copied on my desktop. Now first 20 rows are occupied in new excel file.

Now code should move on to master excel file Sheet Y which has 45 rows and 4 columns of data which starts from Row 7 and Column 2,this data has to be copied and pasted in my new excel file from row 21, which means Master excel file sheets has to be clubbed to one consolidated excel file.

In All the sheets in Master file Data starts from Row 7 and column 2.

Data range varies row wise in each sheet but column length is fixed to 4.

trying to copy data from multiple sheets to one single sheet. I am pretty sure this is possible. The problem I am running into is that the number of sheets at any given time is dynamic. The numbering of the sheets is from 000 to 999 (they must be a three-digit code). The other issue I am having is I only want to copy the rows in each sheet that have an "x" in column "A". Also, the row in which the first "x" occurs can differ from sheet to sheet. I have attached a copy of the spreadsheet that indicates how the spreadsheet is layed out.

Copy Data From Single Sheet To Multiple Sheets

I recieve a daily spreadsheet with ~25,000 rows of data and is 4 columns wide. Each day I need to break the data equally up into 19 or 20 different sheets within the same workbook. This is very time consuming as I need to copy the first ~1,000 rows and paste it into the first sheet, then I need to take the next ~1,000 rows and paste it into the second sheet, and so on.

I have attached a small example with desired output. In my example, the raw data file contains 19 records. For these 19 records, I need to distribute the records evenly between 5 individual sheets. In this case, each sheet will contain 4 records or less.

Distribute Data In Single Sheet To Multiple Sheets

The worksheet is formatted as follows: It contains data in columns A-L. I want to breakdown the data further into sheets according to the data that is found in column G. As an example, say I have 1,000 rows of data and in column G there are a number of different branch numbers in each row. So there may be 250 rows with branch 450, another 250 rows with branch 360, another 200 rows with branch 777, and finally 200 rows with branch 888. In this case I want to create 4 new sheets (450, 360, 777, and 888) and copy only the data in the main sheet that corresponds to same branch.

Actions would be as follows:
copy 250 rows to tab "450"
copy 250 rows to tab "360"
copy 200 rows to tab "777"
copy 300 rows to tab "888"

Any comments are much appreciate. I have attached a data sample along with desired output, if needed. One note: the data comes in each day as one single sheet of data and the number of branches varies day-to-day, as such, code would need to create new sheets for each branch found.

Following is my query:

There are two workbooks , Workbook1 and Workbook2

Workbook1 has only 1 sheet (Sheet name is Final) with multiple rows Tiger,Lion,Goat etc..

Workbook2 has multiple sheets (Tiger,Lion,Goat .... so on)

Each sheet Tiger, Lion, Goat has different no of rows but same no.of coloums.

I want to copy the data from all the sheets in Workbook2 to one sheet Workbook1

ie., once i execute my macro the final output in Workbook1 should contain Tiger under that all the rows from sheet tiger(Workbook2),Goat under that all the rows from sheet Goat(Workbook2) ,Lion under that all the rows from sheet Lion(Workbook2).

Here rows should be inserted in Workbook1 and in these inserted rows we should copy data from respective sheets of Workbook2

I have data for each month as a worksheet from 1970-2012. They are in a workbook with the recent years at first and the oldest years at the end/..

I would like to know how to write a macro to copy a range of data from Jan 1970 then add data from Feb 1970 and so on until Dec 2012.. The range remains the same throughout all the sheets.

I was able to do a rough code, but I am stuck doing the reverse part...

Single Scrollbar To Scroll Multiple Textboxes Simultaneously

how does one use a single scrollbar control to change the scroll position of two textboxes simultaneously?

The reason why this is required is because the textboxes are both multilines and the data in each is related. So there isn't much point in the user scrolling through textbox1 and then trying to find the same scroll position in textbox2 by changing it's scrollbar.

I've tried changing the Curline property of the textboxes within the scrollbar change event but this is obviously a poor method as it involves changing the focus every time the user scrolls...

Search For Multiple Text Strings Simultaneously In Single Cell?

I have a spreadsheet that has relatively clean data, but at the end of every row is a long notes fields (often filled with several paragraphs of text). I'm trying to search inside each one of those notes to see if it contains certain boilerplate language / legalese / key words.

If I was just looking for one word, it would be easy -- I would write =IFERROR(IF(SEARCH("keyword",E2)>0,"Yes",""),""). That way, if the keyword is present, it returns "Yes", and if it's not present, it returns a blank.

What I want to do, though, if look for a long list of keywords simultaneously, and if ANY of those keywords are present, have it return a "Yes".

So I could do something like =IFERROR(IF(or(SEARCH("keyword1",E2)>0,SEARCH("keyword2",E2)>0,SEARCH("keyword3",E2)>0,SEARCH("keyword4",E2)>0)),"Yes",""),""), but that seems horribly inefficient. Especially since my list of keywords is likely to change over time.

So what I want it to do is search each cell by simultaneous reference to an ever-changing table of keywords (call it [KeywordTable]). And I can't figure out how to do that. The search function is resisting all of my efforts to put multiple search values / a range of words inside of it.

To reiterate: the goal is to look at one cell filled with text, ask "does the text in that cell contain any of the keywords contained in [KeywordTable]", and if the answer is "Yes" return yes, and if the answer is no return no (or blanks).

I am trying to create a Macro for taking information from a master sheet "sheet1" and dumping it into another worksheet based on a single variable in "sheet1". I have attached the excel workbook for reference. In detail, I would like to pull all of the rows where cell "F" in "sheet1" equals "1" and dump them into the new sheet titled "Dept1" with the same headings. The same for all rows where cell "F" in "sheet1" equals "2" to dump into the new sheet titled "Dept2".

Is it possible to have a macro do the following: Add a sheet called Summary at the end of the workbook. From the last sheet of mmm-yyyy, copy columns C, E, and R to the Summary sheet. Copy columns T and U from all the other mmm-yyyy sheets to the Summary sheet. All the cells need to be centered.

I'm loving these new formulas that i'm learning here and applying them to whatever sheets i come across to make my life easier at work...

So now i've created another worksheet, this one is to help my colleague who wastes atleast an hour everyday to generate a consolidated report of our bank accounts...

Now i've sorted out half of the report where he can give an overview of the position of cash flow on a daily basis.

Theres however 1 more addition i wanted to make to make this workbook absolutely perfect!

On sheet 2 (which is my consolidated report sheet) I want to add all the transactions that occur on a particular date from all the different bank accounts (Each account having a seperate worksheet)

I'm not sure if advanced filters can achieve this or not or even easier/short macros... Any tips/hints as to how i can achieve this would be awsome..

I've attached a sample workbook which has sheet1 for a bank account and sheet2 for report generation...

I want to add all the rows having "Clearing date" (column A) in Sheet1 to report date in Sheet2
..And this for all the account sheets i can add...

Im looking for a way to copy all rows with data in them from row 3 to the last row with data to another worksheet. I would like to copy the data from ALL worksheets in the workbook apart from one called Grade Boundaries.

All the sheets have the same layout. I simply want to produce a sheet with the data from all sheets in one place.

I have a data sheet that I enter all data into. I would like to divide the data into different sheets depending on the month the job was entered. Please see a sample I have attached. I have tried to convert the month (colE) into a figure (colF). I am hoping the data automatically copies across into the correct month sheet or perhaps I can push a button and it will do it for me. Data will get entered on a daily basis by staff but only onto the main sheet, this will then by some miracle be duplicated into the corresponding sheet without loosing any data on the main sheet.

I have 2 sheets which validates data using vlookup.

Sheet1

Table 1ABResult1121232313

=VLOOKUP(A7,B:B,1,FALSE) is the formula in result1 column.
Sheet 2

Table 2DEResult21020102040203010#N/A

=VLOOKUP(F7,G:G,1,FALSE) is the formula in result2 column.

The basic idea of these vlookup is to check whether the data present in A or D column is present in B or E. If the data is there then it will be retrieved in "Result1" or "Result2" columns. If not then the result would return the value "#N/A".

What im trying to do is to copy the resultant data(from Result1, Result2) other than "#N/A" from individual sheets to a final consolidated sheet.

Multiple Users Updating Same Sheet Simultaneously?

I have a workbook with a list of drawing numbers (with customer, date, author etc.). New drawing numbers and their associated row of information are entered onto the sheet...

..HOWEVER, multiple users can be at least viewing and potentially entering information simultaneously.

I have written code where multiple people can view the same read only file, but not edit it and it be updated.

It seems quite unlikely, but is there anyway of 'live' updating a workbook whilst multiple people are viewing it? Or at least notifying other users when the sheet has been updated?

Copy Individual Data Values In One Column To Single Cell Location On Multiple Sheets?

I am trying to come up with the most efficient way to copy data to multiple sheets within the same Excel workbook. The original data exists within one column on a summary sheet (could have up to 500 individual entries). I want to copy each individual entry to a unique sheet (that already exists), but in the exact same cell location within each sheet. I would only want to copy the original data value and not any formatting. Is there an efficient way to do this?

In my example spreadsheet, the original data is on the SUMMARY sheet. Sheets A through J would be the target sheets, with cell B2 as the target location for each of those sheets. My example shows the result of a manual copy paste value process, but I am hoping to automate that.

Enter Data On Multiple Worksheets Simultaneously

See the file attached (there are the same columns on all sheets, apart from on "BLANK"). The "Sort" sheets 1-4 contain rows that are repeated various times on the "Raw data" sheets. The "Sort" sheets are mutually exclusive; there is no repetition of rows among them. When I make an entry into an "ACTION" or "REASON" cell on any of the "Sort" sheets, I want that entry to be replicated on all identical rows throughout the "Raw data" sheets. Matching of the rows is to be via Criteria 1 and 2. I would preferably like the replication to be as I make the entries.

I am currently looking into writing a private sub for each "Source" worksheet. This would activate when a change was made to that sheet's ACTION and/or REASON cells, group that sheet with the three "Raw data" ones and change the relevant cells/rows (assuming that finding the relevant cells/rows within this function is possible). Or the macro could just loop through the rows of the three "Raw data" sheets and copy IF, but this would be long. Does this sound like the way forward or am I barking up the wrong tree? Should I be looking into VLOOKUP or pivot tables? Or is my data structured badly in the workbook from the outset? How straightforward will this macro be? Has anyone any pointers, magic routines in their libraries or links to relevant info?

Sharing Workbook With Multiple Users Entering Data Simultaneously

My Workbook contains several UserForms in which employees will be entering hours and activities on a daily basis. In the UserForm, they select their department and enter hours for each specific type of work/activity that shows up for that department in the userform. They click the submit button and all the data (date, name, department, type of work and hours) is added to a database table in another sheet, which in turn feeds a number of reports.

I need to be able to have anywhere from 20 to 100+ employees enter their hours on a daily basis, many of them at the same time, all from different locations (within the network of the client's system), using the same UserForms.

We've experimented with Google Drive, but that seems not to be the solution. It kind of works, but is not secure (it installs a copy of the entire workbook on the users system and then synchs the data back to the server upon "save") and way too cumbersome. I've heard of SharePoint, but not every client has that installed (and frankly I don't know how it works).

I have a number of worksheets and need to move data from the same cells of each work sheet to a summary worksheet. I manually entered the cell id's for the first sheet.

Example =Jan!M6, =Jan!N7, =Jan!O9 etc.

I know I should be able to automatically enter these same cells for the remainder of my worksheets with out manually going in and typing each one (there are a lot of entries.) I just can not remember how to do it. The next sheet is named "Feb" and "Mar" etc.

Formula / Function To Collect Data From Multiple Sheets And Store Data In One Sheet?

- I have total of 13 sheets in a workbook - 12 sheets represent 12 months with data; 13th sheet is single sheet in which i would like to get complete overview of 12 months

- each of 12 sheets has actually sales results for multiple products with following data: internal code, manufacturer part number, name, and qty sold in that month

- situation is that some products have been phased out during the year and some were introduced so each sheet is slightly different in terms of in which row certain product is located

What i would like to achive is to make 13th sheet (whole year overview) do the following:
- there is a list of all the products in it, each product has unique internal code - this code (from each line) should be used to find that code in each monthly sheet, then find its monthly sales value (copy it) and paste it in sheet 13 in cell that represents this product and particular month.

In other words i would like to see for each product what was monthly sales throughout this year, but avoid manually filling in qty for each product per month.

Extract Multiple Sheets Data Into One Sheet

Creating macro which can read data from one/or more sheet and copy and paste it into another sheet, by matching up column A & B and Row 1, between the both sheets.

I have monthly data stored in each sheet, named as May, June, July etc. I also have sheet called 'monthly' within the same workbook, where I would like to extract all monthly totals, from sheets july, June etc, into the 'Monthly' worksheet by matching up its names from Column A and B and row1 header with each sheet's names.

The june,july worksheets have date1, date2 etc, columns with data and after those columns, there are the 'bs, rm, cm, cd, cl' columns, and these are the columns, I would like to use, to extract the numbers from and paste in the 'monthly' worksheet.

My current issue, is that the 'bs, rm, cm..etc' columns are not fixed, due to the 'date1, date2 etc' columns can vary, for each month.

For this current task, I was using a formula as shown below to extract the values into 'monthly' worksheet, however due to unfixed columns for 'bs, rm, cm... etc', I could not get the formula to work for the 'july' and 'Aug' months (i.e. extract data into 'monthly' worksheet, from the june&aug sheets).

I would like to request, if it is possible to use the formula below to re-create macro which can carry out this task, by extracting all the values from 'june, july, aug etc' sheet, into the 'monthly' sheet, at once.

I have attached a sample workbook with example of data layout and desired output shown in monthly worksheet.
