I have a 'Summary' worksheet which is shown as:
August
September
October
Example 1
1
4
5
The table, which works correctly, looks in another worksheet 'Report' for 'Example 1' within the date range of August. This uses COUNTIFS.
Ideally, what I'm wanting to do is have an auto-filter on each of the cells - 'Example 1', 'Example 2', so if a user wants to see what rows on the 'Report' sheet, falls into this criteria, it auto filters the other worksheet, and takes them too it.
The action would be - Click on the cell of 'Example 1', the macro auto-filters based on the cells value in column F of the 'Report' sheet, and takes the user there. The macro would have to take into account the date filter as well, which uses cells A1,B1 for August, and C1,D1, for September.

I have an Excel 2010 spreadsheet consisting of many worksheets (20 or so). Each of these worksheets contain detail level data regarding different projects. One of the columns in these worksheets is the 'Status' column (column F). There is conditional formatting on this column where if the text is 'G' then change background to a green color, 'Y'=yellow, 'R'=Red and 'U'=Grey.
The first worksheet is a summary sheet that I would like to pull information from each of the detail worksheet's columns B, D, E, G and H if the status column (Column F) is 'R' or 'Y'.
The number of rows in the detail worksheet can change each week (as few as 0 and as many as 100)

I've done the following:
Sub BrownBH()
If Range("Brown!B4:B31") = X Then
Range("C4").Value = [#A]
Else
Range("C4").Value = NT
End If
End Sub
However, this doesn't even work.
When somebody enters an X in a specific cell on one worksheet, it's supposed to change the value to A of a specific cell in a different worksheet. Sounds simple enough...but...

I have a macro that copies data from 6 different worksheets into one summary worksheet - based on certain criteria - I need a way to note on each row of the summary sheet which worksheet it was copied from. Each worksheet is specific to a salesperson, so ideally I would like that salespersons last name to populate in column B on the summary page for each row of theirs that is copied over....here is my current macro I use to copy the data: (this code is repeated for each sales persons sheet - "Blankenship", "Dew", etc...) I have attached a scaled down version of my file.

Is it possible to dynamically chance the name of at a worksheet that already exists based on the contents of a cell on another sheet?
I.e. If the name of a sheet is linked to the value of the Cell A1 in the "Data" sheet and I change A1 to read "Group1" it changes the name of the sheet as well?

In Column C (C11:C28) I have Sheet Names - Descriptors and then in Column D (D11:D28) I have the "YES" or "NO" for whether the sheet should print There could be blanks rows or rows with just heading text on them.
This project uses Table of Contents and what is on the specific sheet I use a Formula [=CONCATENATE("Agenda1 - ",Agenda1!H1)] on some of the Rows. These all then Hyperlink to the appropriate worksheet. Not all Rows will have the Formula if it is easily identifiable.
The name of the sheet is Either the Name As Is Unless there is a hyphen and if there is a hyphen then the sheet name is the first word up to the space.
I'm sure this is doable with VBA I just don't know how to manipulate the - out of the names and do the appropriate sheet selections so that I can print all of the selected sheets.
My current data looks something like this:
Info Pages Print (Merged Cell Header Row)
Title YES
Implementation NO
<blank row>
Agendas Print (Another Merged Cell Header Row)
Agenda1 - FORMULA NAME1 YES
Agenda2 - FORMULA NAME2 NO
Agenda3 - FORMULA NAME3 NO
... thru Agenda7
Other Print (Merged Cell Header Row)
Other1 - Formula Name NO
Other2 - NO
Other3 - NO
My workbook has worksheets with names: Title, Implementation, Agenda1, Agenda2, Agenda3,...Other1, Other2, Other3
I want to select all of them that have the YES to Print and then send them to my printer.

My goal when the value in cell K14 is >= 149 then UnHide the worksheet called / labled "Operational"
I have written the statement below: I am not getting a debug error nor is my statement doing what I expect i am not sure what is wrong.
Sub test1 ()
If Range("I14").Value >=149 Then
Workbook.Sheets("Operational").Visible = True
Else
Workbook.Sheets("Summary").Visible = True
End If
End Sub
I also have this statement executing when the workbook opens:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Operational").Visible = False

I have a worksheet 'stock levels' which I list all my products and the amount we have in stock.
I have another worksheet called 'on order' which lists products that we currently have on order.
In the 'stock levels worksheet, I have a column called product id' & 'on order'....
I would like to do a check of the 'on order' worksheet to see if 'product id' exists in the 'product id column' - if so then color the 'on order column green, if not leave same.

I am trying to automatically select data from a different sheet to fill data in a cell based on two other cells. I've attached a simplified version of what I'm trying to do (with detailed explanations). I hope it has enough info to get my point across.
I posted this in the "programming" forum because I'm pretty sure I will need to use vba in some form or fashion to get this to work. I am more familiar with access than excel, so I may be missing some easier way to make excel do this.

I created a sort of FORM worksheet that uses lookups to pull a bunch of information (so the user does not have to key it all in,) and transfers it to a second worksheet (database worksheet), when the user clicks a "Submit" button.
The functionality is fine when used by one individual, but I am now going to have 9 different users working within this Shared file.
I seem to have worked out any of the other kinks related to the Shared file, but I'm having one problem that I should have foreseen.
The code below is looking for the next available empty row in the database sheet and copying the data there.
My problem is that the file is not updated in real-time, so if entries are submitted in a narrow time-frame, the data is fighting for the same row, and deleting one row-item or another.
My question is, is there a way to modify what I already wrote to fix this problem?
If not--the solution that I am thinking of is creating NINE separate worksheets and mapping the data into those individualy.
So... IF we have Sally, John, Scott, Dave, Jenn They each have their own worksheet.
From looking at the below, I am thinking the best option would be obviously mirroring the template for each user, and modifying this portion:
VB:
Option Explicit
[U]Dim wsData As Worksheet
[/U]Dim wsForm As Worksheet
Dim wsPCD As Worksheet
Dim rNextCl As Range
Dim rNextC2 As Range
[Code]....
Will that work transitioning into the rest of the code? I'll assume that the above needs revised as I'm new to this all.
VB:
Option Explicit
Dim wsData As Worksheet
Dim wsForm As Worksheet
Dim wsPCD As Worksheet
Dim rNextCl As Range
Dim rNextC2 As Range
[Code]....

In Sheet1 I've got a list of names in column A, then I've got a worksheet for each name in the list. I'd like to fill in column B with information from the worksheet of the same name as in column A.
Quick example...name in column A is Davis, want to fill in column B with a value from cell C3 on worksheet named Davis and do it for the entire list. Data being looked for is in same cell on each worksheet. Tried using a formula and dragging it down the list, problem with that is it doesn't change the sheetname just the cell.

I'd like to move rows A thru E to each applicable class sheet. I've attached the workbook.

how, via VBA, to save a worksheet ("ForExport") from my workbook into a new file (type CSV). To provide additional difficulty (not by my choice), the users will all have their own directories on the network to save their files into. These directories will NOT be mapped drives (e.g., "C:") but rather will be UNC paths (\parentusername)
So, obviously the filename and location are both rather dynamic, depending who is using the excel template.
The workbook has three sheets:Base Form (sheet 1)ValidationResources (sheet 2, provides data for menus/validation)ForExport (sheet 3, contains data written to it from the Base Form)
The workbook has fields to capture UserName, FileName (without an extension), and FilePath.UserName = captured by VBA code from the users login informationFileName = concatenated field based on some other fieldsFilePath = concatenated field of a set parent path (\parent) plus the UserName (so, \parentusername)What I want to do is have a macro that takes the ForExport sheet, saves it as a CSV file (with the file name from the field holding that info) into the directory I've specified in the FilePath field.
Is what I'm trying to do even possible? I have a sample workbook I can provide if you need something to work with. Not sure if I can attach it here.

I am working on excel based tool where I need a small piece of macro. I used two IF loops in the code.
The second IF loop is working fine. The problem is with first IF statement.
What I need to do is -
If E6 is Yes, then in the same worksheet named "Input Sheet", i need to change values of cells D14:M14 to zero and also
I want to restrict people to change this value. So, after changing the value to zero, I am hiding that row.
But if E6 is "No", then -
Unhide the Row 14 and allow users of this tool to change value of cells.
I believe the only issue is with statement - Sheets("Input Sheet").Range("D14:M14").Value = 0
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If [$E$6] = "Yes" Then
Sheets("Input Sheet").Range("D14:M14").Value = 0
Sheets("Input Sheet").Rows("14").Hidden = True
[Code] ..........

I currently have a consolidated worksheet (thanks Bill!) called " Dashboard" that contains closed items that are marked by a validated column that can only contain "Closed, Open, or In-Progress." Is there a way to move the rows with a value of "Closed" to another worksheet called "Completed"? Also when this move is done, that row is no longer necessary in Dashboard and should be removed. So I'm guessing its a lot like a cut and paste and then a delete row/shift cells up?
here are some additional information:
The worksheet has a locked header that is 6 rows deep (the values for the "Status" column begins on row 7 and on.)
The "status" column is at column 11.

I have a worksheet that has >10 rows of data and over 150 columns. The values in the cells for individual row include NA, NE, D, A and S. Each row will have one or all of these values in one of the cells. Here is the question:
How do I hide columns containing 'NA' in the cell for a particular row, when only that row is selected by clicking on any cell in row 'A'? For example: If my row 3 cell values for column A, J, R, and X are 'NA' I want to hide the column containing 'NA' only and display everything else? And only when I click on row 3 column 'A'

I have a excel file to keep track of tasks or actions that need to be performed. What I am looking for, is an automated utility or code that will allow excel to automatically move entire rows (so an entire task) of completed tasks to another sheet called, "Completed Actions". In Actions sheet I have a column for " status" and here you have to select from a drop down menu, either "On-going", "Urgent" or "Done". What I would like, is that once you have selected "Done", the entire row or entry, will be automatically moved to the "Completed Actions" sheet.

I am trying to find a way to automatically highlight all the cells specified by the cell references in a column on another worksheet (which will constantly have new values added).
On the attached sample, the 'Data Before' tab shows the base data before any highlighting. As cell references are added to the 'References' tab in 'column A' I want the respective cell to be highlighted on the 'Data Before' tab resulting in the 'Data After' tab and each time a new cell reference is added to the 'References' tab, the respective cell is then highlighted on the 'Data Before' tab.
I would like to have control over the highlight colour so that a different highlight colour can be specified for each date change, i.e. all cell references that are shown on the same date are the same colour but where the date changes a different highlight colour can be specified.
Highlight by Cell Reference.xlsx

I have a worksheet with 14 columns. Column 12 is either blank or when I finish that project, from a drop down menu I pick Yes. What I am hoping for is that as soon as I hit yes the line will be cut from the first sheet labeled Open and pasted to the next available row on the second sheet labed Closed. On the first sheet that blank row is eliminated so there are no spaces and on sheet two it always looks for the next available row as to not over write any data.
Also, to make sure I am doing this right too, I would right click the tab then click view code, paste it into the window (below the drop down that says (General) click file save workbook then file close and return to excel correct? One last thing, while looking at this page it shows my worksheet I call Open is really sheet 16 and closed is really sheet 17.

I have my workbook set up so that one worksheet contains the names of all my departments/sections listed with their 3 letter code (this can be anything from AAA-ZZZ, e.g 'FYH', 'JWK' or 'KZA' are all valid) in Column F. I then have Columns H, I, J & K blank and require them to be auto-filling based on data from 4 other worksheets - i'll detail what i need below, but Column H needs to be filled based on what it finds in worksheet 'Data 1', Column I should be filled based on what it finds in worksheet 'Data 2' etc. etc. I have four further worksheets that contain data based on the types of assets owned by the department/section, these are 'Data 1', 'Data 2', 'Data 3' and 'Data 4' and I use these as described above, with Column H referring only to 'Data 1', Column I only to 'Data 2', Column J only to 'Data 3' and Column K only to 'Data 4'.
What i need then, is a VBA that will take the value of a cell in column F on my main worksheet (called 'main') and then count the number of occurences of that value in Coulumn A on another worksheet and place the number of occurences into Column H, I, J or K based on which sheet it's checking.
For example, Cell 'F2' on my main worksheet contains the value "ABC". I need to take "ABC" and search Column A of worksheet "Data 1" to find how many time it occurs, placing the result into Column H of worksheet 'Main', I then need the same value to be counted in Column A of 'Data 2' and its result placed into Column I on 'Main', and again for Column A of 'Data 3' with the result being put into Column J of 'Main', and finally Column A of 'Data 4' to be checked and that result placed into Column K on 'Main'.
does this seem too much of a task for VBA? or am i best doing each column separately with a CountIf or Array formula?? Not sure whether a COUNTIF or Array formula will do the job.

I would like to create a macro/vb code that will unhide a worksheet if cell value is greater than zero, or hide the worksheet if the cell value is zero.
I'm not too familiar with VB code and was wondering if this is possible? I have my doubts, since it means that the code must constantly be running in an endless loop, checking to see if the value has changed?
