I have in "column A" an accountnumber and in "column D" a lastname.
The lastname can appear more than once and the accountnumber also.
Though I want combobox1 on userform1 to contain the lastnames.
It's possible to contain a double lastname as long as the accountnumber isn't the same.
For instance:
accountnumber: Lastname:
1234 Johnson
7890 Johnson
here Johnson will be insert twice into the combobox.
accountnumber: Lastname:
1234 Johnson
1234 Johnson
I have a excel sheet with a macro set up. On the main sheet is all the information with expiry dates. Now each entry according to the expiry date goes into another sheet (Monthly Sheets) in the same document. However if you add to the main list and press go it re-sorts the list and duplicates are put into the monthly sheet. (Hope that makes Sense)
I´working on an excel sheet where i´m copying a range to another place. So far so good. Then I want to remove all double entries for each rows in the new range. I managed to get a code working for one row. When I want to loop it for all the rows in the copied range, I get a an error popoing up when the loop starts working on the second row. Error 457: "This is already associated with an element of this collection" The line creating this error is coll.Add cell.Value, CStr(cell.Value)

The problem seems to come from the fact that the Coll (New Collection) is not reseting for the next loop. I tried to set the Coll to Nothing but doesn´t have any effect.
I am looking for assisitance in combining the functionality of two seperate combo box code sets. The first combo box code set allows the combo box to automaticially appear when a user Clicks on a cell that contains a data validation list. The second set of code will have a combo box appear when a user Double-clicks on a cell that contains a data validation list. And the code allows for Named Ranges on a seperate worksheet. I would like to have the functionality of having the combo box to appear when a user Clicks on a cell and not having to Double-click. Also, I would like to have the option to use Named Ranges on a seperate worksheet ("Validation Lists").

In the properties window, I set the value equal to the first name in the list. The above code yields a combobox that is blank except for the value set in the properties window. When I do not set an initial value, I get a completely blank combobox. I'm pretty new to VBA, and I've manged to figure out all of the macros I need so far, but setting up the user form has proved surprisingly difficult.

I have sinced changed the data entry sheet to use comboboxes instead of normal text, as it was important to ensure the text is entered identically each time. Now, however, my macro transfers the numerical position on the list of data for the combobox instead of it's value
I am populating a ComboBox with entries from a Range. The entries have a different Interior.Color depending on whether the individual project represented by the entry is complete. If the entry is complete is has an Interior.Color of blue; if not, it is red. I want to populate the ComboBox with both, but if the Interior.Color is blue, I want to change the font.color displayed in the ComboBox to blue. Just the color of the completed (blue) entries. The other (red) entries can have a normal (black) font. Is there a way to do this?

I have an worksheet with a UserForm. On this UserForm is a ComboBox with the RowSource set to a named range called lVender. This ComboBox is setup to post & sort new entries into lVender apon exiting the ComboBox.
If a mistake is made and it is not caught before exiting the ComboBox, then I need a way to remove the bad entry from the lVender list.

Am trying to get dynamic population of 2nd combobox based on match from criteria in combobox 1.
if column a = bears and column b = colours of bears then
when I select bears in combobox one, combobox 2 would populate with colors of bear.
I am think of having a combobox 1 change event that evaluates each row in a specific range (does it match the criteria?) if so, then add 2nd cell (column b) of that row to the combobox 2.
I know it would probably involve match and offset, add item and loop, but I am not sure what the syntax is.
I need to populate two combo boxes from excel sheet, the data will be like below:

So from the above data, one combo box should hold unique values A & B.
On selecting a value from the 1st combo box A or B, respective values should be populated in 2nd combo box.

When I make a comboBox selection from the dropdown menu, the menu stays down until the last statement of the comboBox code is finished. How do I make the dropdown disappear immediately after the selection is made?
try and achive is when a user selects a item from the 1st Combobox the 2nd Combobox is the populated with the cell that is to the right of the selected item.

I created a UserForm then linked ComboBox1 to range A2:A, TextBox2 to range E2:E, and ComboBox3 to range M2:M of the same worksheet, named Sheet3. The row contents in Column A, Column E, and Column M are associated. Further a Userform with 2 Comboboxes "FirstName" and "SurName"

Actually my sheet has much more fields and comboboxes, but i think my problem is just that I do not find a way to populate them dynamically.
What I need to do is sort certain entries in longer list (column A, it is in .csv format and needs to be in it so coordinates and names and ID, all sorted with commas) and I have another list (column C) which is shorter list of certain IDs. I googled and tried and got some results for the basic structure but the fuction seems to fail. It doesn't matter how I get that third list done, but there is only one criteria: since the list in column A is really long and those entries need to keep the .csv formatting, the function should copy that info what is in the matching cells.
Let me try to put it simple: .csv cells from column A that have matching ID from column C should be copied to column B (or N).

I copied and pasted Column A into Column C and then removed duplicates. I named Column C 'ValList' and placed it in the RowSource for ComboBox1. What I now want is for ComboBox2 to populate based on my selection in ComboBox1. There are no duplicates in Column B. Duplicates are in Column A.
I also named Column A 'Proc_Grp' and Column B 'ADA_QSI_Desc'
For the properties in Combobox2, I left the RowSource empty. (that's correct right?) Because there's going to be a code that links Combobox2 to Combobox1... I think...
I have a userform where I have 2 comboboxes. The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.
Is it possible to enter double inequations? Excel returns "false" even it is obviously true. If I type =1<2<3 the result is "false".
I can get the correct result using =and(1<2,2<3), but that makes it longer, and if I have more formulas inside instead of numbers I'll have to repeat the middle one, it will take the place, but only in oreder to compare it again.
On one sheet I have an array of 4 cols. It looks like this:
123 Chris 12345 Jones 123 Chris 23456 Pete 123 Chris 34567 John
On the main sheet there are also 4 cols. In cell A1 I enter a number, in A2 I have a VLookup to get the corresponding name for the number entered in A1, which works fine, I type 123 in A1 and get Chris in A2.
In a perfect world I would like A3 to become a dropdown with 12345, 23456 and 34567 so the user could then select one of those, and by doing so, A4's VLookup would give Jones, Pete or John.
I don't think a dropdown can be populated this way - am I stuck using VBA?
