I have attached an example set up with a user form I am building. I currently have the first combo box loading upon the initialize of the user form an from that I choose one of the product types and it gives me a list with all product names associated in the second combo box. Upon a change event in the second combo box I want to populate the 3rd Column with the count of how many of that Product type.
I have a couple different code set ups in the attached sheet and neither works.
I am trying to populate (via VBA) a textbox/combo box from one user form to another user form.
The first user form has a room number in a text box1. If certain conditions exists, a button is selected to bring up another user form (both forms are modeless).
I want to pass/populate some of the 1st user Form info into the other user form.
I have tried the on initialize textbox1.value = textbox other.value but no dice. I can populate a user form text box from a spreadsheet but from box to box in separate user forms has me a little stumped.
I have a userform with a combobox and a textbox, I would like that when I click the dropdown on the combobox I can pick an item from a list found on a spreadsheet in column A. This spreadsheet has two columns of data A & B. I would like to automatically populate the textbox with the data (from Column B) based on what was chosen in the combobox for (column A).
Example A B Don $5.00 John $6.75 Jerry $4.75
If I was to pick John in the combobox, I would like for the textbox to populate with $6.75.
I need to populate the textBoxes from the selection from ComboBox I've created in a UserForm. I have attached the file that I was working on. I want to be able to keep selecting then populate the text box until I have finsihed.
I've done define name to read column C until G in 1st row, N define another name from column C until G in 2nd row.For example; NameRanges for "Year" =OFFSET(Sheet2!$C$1,0,0,1,COUNTA(Sheet2!$1:$1)-2), for "Thickness" = OFFSET(Sheet2!$C$2,0,0,1,COUNTA(Sheet2!$2:$2)-3)
I want to display list of year in combobox and then, when the user click on the first item in combobox, the textbox will display the value that correspond to the combobox. For example; when the user click Year = 1990 in the combobox, the textbox will take value from excel and display thickness for year 1990 which is 4.
This is my code, the code in UserForm_Initialize is working. unfortunately, coding to display value in TextBox1, doesnt work.
I need to populate a textbox based off 2 combobox selections. My first combobox selects the worksheet. "08BOG, 09BOG, 10BOG...15BOG" My second combobox lists majors based off of the worksheet selected in combobox 1. I need my textbox to populate the value 18 rows over the selected worksheet and the selected row.
Currently I have something like this:
But obviously this is all wrong because it is only referencing one sheet instead of the selected sheet in the combobox.
I have a userform with one textbox and one combobox in EXCEL.
This userform is connected to a small data base (one table with 2 columns).
Combobox is populated with the values from the first column of databasqe table.
I like when the combobox is changing the textbox to be automatic populated with the corespondent value from the second column.
I have the following code but it is not working:
Sub PopulateTB() Dim rs As Recordset Dim db As database Dim SQL As String Set db = OpenDatabase(ThisWorkbook.Path & "materiale.mdb") SQL = "SELECT values_col2 FROM table_db WHERE values_col1 = " & UserForm1.ComboBox1.Value & ";" Set rs = db.OpenRecordset(sql)
I have a userform which inputs data based upon a chosen item from a combobox. Combobox3 pulls numerical items from Rows17 and below in columnA of active worksheet. The first problem I am having is that the combobox itself is cutting numerical numbers short. Items go out to the thousandths (ex. 1.001) but in cases where there is a "0" at the end of the decimal it abbreviates it (ex.1.01) is there anyway to fix this? The second issue is I would like to populate "Textbox4" with the columnC content of the item chosen. (Ex. User choses Item 1.001 (found in row118) then Textbox4 would = the value of C18) Below is the current code utilized for this userform.
Based on selection in column C populated using a drop down list from a range titled PracticeID. Other named ranges, all on sheet titled Validation, are PracticeName and Name_ID (a 2 column range made up of PracticeName and PracticeID). This works great the first time a selection is made in column C. But, of course, if the user needs to change the selection in column C, the value in column D does not change. Would the cell change event be the appropriate place to place this action?
I have a MultiPage control that has 67 TextBoxes on it, changes to 14 of these TextBoxes will trigger a public subroutine called TB1Refresh. I have a TextBox and a ComboBox just above the MultiPage control. The ComboBox is set as a MultiColumn. The ComboBox is working. The TextBox is called TB1. The first TextBox on the MultiPage is called TB2. There are no duplicate names on this UserForm. When I scroll though the list in CB1, the values in the TextBoxes on the MultiPage scroll as the they are supposed to. The problem is that every time one of the 14 TextBoxes changes, the subroutine is supposed to fire. Here is the code I use in two of the TextBoxes to fire this sub:
Private Sub TB8_Change() TB1Refresh End Sub
Private Sub TB9_Change() TB1Refresh End Sub
I put a MsgBox at the beginning and the end of TB1Refresh to see what was happening. They never fired! So the question is, why won't the subroutine fire when called upon to do so. This code was working before I added the MultiPage to this UserForm,
The following code works fine, but when I put the code in an ActiveX Combobox Change Event it gives a run-time error 1004. ("Select Method of Range class failed")The error occurs on the following line
Code: Worksheets("SAVED").Range("A" & l).Select
Code: Dim l As Long Application.ScreenUpdating = False l = Application.WorksheetFunction.Match(Worksheets("DATA").Range("O34"), Worksheets("SAVED").Range("A1:A10000"), 0) Worksheets("SAVED").Activate 'ROSTER=== Worksheets("SAVED").Range("A" & l).Select Selection.Resize(1, 739).Offset(1, 2).Copy
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) With Target.Cells(1, 1) If Not Intersect(.Cells, Range("b3:b6")) Is Nothing Then Range("b7") = "Not Found" For i = 3 To 6: txt = txt & Cells(i, "b").Value & "_": Next For Each r In Range("m3", Cells(3, Columns.Count).End(xlToLeft)) For i = 0 To 3: txt2 = txt2 & r.Offset(i).Value & "_": Next If txt = txt2 Then Range("b7").Value = r.Offset(4).Value Exit For End If txt2 = "" Next ElseIf Not Intersect(.Cells, Range("b16:b19")) Is Nothing Then Range("b20") = "Not Found".....................
I'm working with this code right now. The problem is the macro will only work if i type the numbers manually. if the values are retrieved from a combobox, the code above down not work as it cannot read the values.
I have a userform with a combobox in it that's rowsource is a column of company names in a worksheet. When a company name is chosen, a combobox change private sub runs and many userform textboxes are populated with information about the company that was chosen from the combobox dropdown. This information is stored on a worksheet. I then want to edit any of the information in these textboxes. Once my edits are made I have a CommandButton that is pressed to save the edit changes. This CommandButton runs a private sub that disables the combobox (thinking this would prevent the combobox private sub from running), deletes the row that the information originated from, and then SHOULD make a new row of values based on the contents of the textboxes following the edits. The problem is that the CommandButton coding that deletes the row causes the combobox change private sub to run because the company that had been selected is now the missing from the rowsource; this causes an error.
As part of a program I'm writing in VBA (for Excel 2010), I have a textbox in a user form used as an interface to write a formula in cells in Excel. The resulting value of a formula from a cell is loaded up into the textbox. It would be shown in the textbox like "See 1.2 and 1.3" where the formula in the cell is
This is just used as an example but the principle is there. It is worth noting that I’m writing this for very inexperienced Excel users but I need them to be able to edit the string part of the formula without breaking the formula.
However where I’m struggling is to pick up a selection change event inside a text box already selected. I need to be able to check if the textbox.SelStart is within an address value or within the string in the textbox.
The event Enter won’t work if the user is already editing the textbox (i.e. typing stuff) and then clicking or using the keyboard arrow to move the cursor somewhere else inside the textbox. I don’t think the event Change is the solution either as it would mean that the user would have already typed something and as a result the formula may already be broken.
I have had a good look around and I didn’t find an event for a selection change inside a textbox. Does it exists and/or is there a way that would have the same result?
I need to make a userform, my userform contains (1 textbox , 2 labels , 1 listbox , 2 buttons(clear & cancel))
I tried my best but I unable to make it perfect..
I need to populate data in listbox based on textbox change, below is my condition
Required column Headers in listbox is "Acno Nbr","investname","amount"
- textbox contains only number if user enter text then msgbox should show plz enter numbers only & as well as in lable - our account nbr which we are enter in textbox that should be start from "9" if user enter number otherthan "9" , msg should show invalid number & as well as in lable - if user entering the number & whatever the number user enter listbox should populate required data whatever the account nbr starting with that number(textbox value) - suppose if user enter only lessthan 10 & greaterthan 10 then in lable show invalid number u have enter lenght of account nbr(textbox value) - suppose if textbox value is available in worksheet then in listbox populate the required data and in lable populate "yes it's power goal number" - suppose if textbox value is not available in worksheet then in lable show "no records found - might be its not a power goal number"
I need a userform textbox event that fires after I tab or click out of the textbox. Going by the list of options:Beforedragover, BeforeDroporPaste, Change, DblClick, DropButtonClick, Error, Keydown, Keypress, keyup, mousedown, mousemove, mouseup.
I can't figure out which one will do what I want. The change event happens instantaneously which doesn't work. I need to fire off the event when my focus leaves the textbox.
Is there a way to write a Worksheet_SelectionChange (ByVal Target As Range) event in module after creating a sheet in VBA? I constantly delete a sheet, then repopulate it with a new one that is empty, but I need to add some code that happens if they should change a particular cell. It worked when I ran it on a worksheet without refreshing, but as soon as I cleared and repopulated the sheet, it was gone. Is there a way to preserve this?
I created a UserForm then linked ComboBox1 to range A2:A, TextBox2 to range E2:E, and ComboBox3 to range M2:M of the same worksheet, named Sheet3. The row contents in Column A, Column E, and Column M are associated. Therefore, when the UserForm is active I want to be able to select a row from Column A in ComboBox1 and have the UserForm pull the contents from the same row of Column E into TextBox2, and Column M into ComboBox3. Here is what I have so far, but its not quite doing it.
Code: Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() Sheets("Sheet3").Activate Dim ColARange As Range
