I need to populate the textBoxes from the selection from ComboBox I've created in a UserForm. I have attached the file that I was working on. I want to be able to keep selecting then populate the text box until I have finsihed.
I am trying to populate (via VBA) a textbox/combo box from one user form to another user form.
The first user form has a room number in a text box1. If certain conditions exists, a button is selected to bring up another user form (both forms are modeless).
I want to pass/populate some of the 1st user Form info into the other user form.
I have tried the on initialize textbox1.value = textbox other.value but no dice. I can populate a user form text box from a spreadsheet but from box to box in separate user forms has me a little stumped.
I have a userform which inputs data based upon a chosen item from a combobox. Combobox3 pulls numerical items from Rows17 and below in columnA of active worksheet. The first problem I am having is that the combobox itself is cutting numerical numbers short. Items go out to the thousandths (ex. 1.001) but in cases where there is a "0" at the end of the decimal it abbreviates it (ex.1.01) is there anyway to fix this? The second issue is I would like to populate "Textbox4" with the columnC content of the item chosen. (Ex. User choses Item 1.001 (found in row118) then Textbox4 would = the value of C18) Below is the current code utilized for this userform.
I have a userform with a combobox and a textbox, I would like that when I click the dropdown on the combobox I can pick an item from a list found on a spreadsheet in column A. This spreadsheet has two columns of data A & B. I would like to automatically populate the textbox with the data (from Column B) based on what was chosen in the combobox for (column A).
Example A B Don $5.00 John $6.75 Jerry $4.75
If I was to pick John in the combobox, I would like for the textbox to populate with $6.75.
I've done define name to read column C until G in 1st row, N define another name from column C until G in 2nd row.For example; NameRanges for "Year" =OFFSET(Sheet2!$C$1,0,0,1,COUNTA(Sheet2!$1:$1)-2), for "Thickness" = OFFSET(Sheet2!$C$2,0,0,1,COUNTA(Sheet2!$2:$2)-3)
I want to display list of year in combobox and then, when the user click on the first item in combobox, the textbox will display the value that correspond to the combobox. For example; when the user click Year = 1990 in the combobox, the textbox will take value from excel and display thickness for year 1990 which is 4.
This is my code, the code in UserForm_Initialize is working. unfortunately, coding to display value in TextBox1, doesnt work.
I need to populate a textbox based off 2 combobox selections. My first combobox selects the worksheet. "08BOG, 09BOG, 10BOG...15BOG" My second combobox lists majors based off of the worksheet selected in combobox 1. I need my textbox to populate the value 18 rows over the selected worksheet and the selected row.
Currently I have something like this:
[Code] ......
But obviously this is all wrong because it is only referencing one sheet instead of the selected sheet in the combobox.
I have attached an example set up with a user form I am building. I currently have the first combo box loading upon the initialize of the user form an from that I choose one of the product types and it gives me a list with all product names associated in the second combo box. Upon a change event in the second combo box I want to populate the 3rd Column with the count of how many of that Product type.
I have a couple different code set ups in the attached sheet and neither works.
I have a userform with one textbox and one combobox in EXCEL.
This userform is connected to a small data base (one table with 2 columns).
Combobox is populated with the values from the first column of databasqe table.
I like when the combobox is changing the textbox to be automatic populated with the corespondent value from the second column.
I have the following code but it is not working:
Code:
Sub PopulateTB() Dim rs As Recordset Dim db As database Dim SQL As String Set db = OpenDatabase(ThisWorkbook.Path & "materiale.mdb") SQL = "SELECT values_col2 FROM table_db WHERE values_col1 = " & UserForm1.ComboBox1.Value & ";" Set rs = db.OpenRecordset(sql)
I am creating (or aim to create) an Excel based database. (Excel 2003)
On sheet 1 ... I have a userform ... most things are working okay so far. On sheet 2 ... I have a number of NAMED lists to use in combo boxes etc
One named list is two columns wide .. it is called "ParaNo" its range on sheet2 (not including Name header - which is in a merged cell acrosss both columns) .... is B3:C35
Column B3:B35 contains the numbers 1-33 sequentially Column C3:C35 contains a text phrase that relates to the number opposite in column B
On the user form I have a combobox ("CbAdjParaNo") that has "ParaNo" as its row source, what I want to do is populate a text box (TxAdjParaDef") when a number is selected in the combobox
I want it to populate a combobox in a userform. Should it go in the code segment for the userform, in a module, or some other place? The following is code I originally found (by Leith Ross of this board) to find the last row in column "A", and load the combo box "ComboBox1"
Userform1 is a basic search and find using the text the user enters in a text box, followed by 'ok' commandbutton.
If a matching cell is found in the worksheet, the row is selected and the second userform asks for text via textbox2. This text will be placed in the end column of that row (column L) that was found to have the text input in Userform 1.
What's important is that if on that row some text already exists in column L, that this appears in textbox2 allowing the user to modify it.
I have a userform that pops up upon opening a file. The user form has 5 text boxes names Zero, Two, Four, Seven and Nine. I would like each of these text boxes to automatically populate with the values last used. The values last used are stored in Worksheet "Index Settings" in Cells "C3:C7".
I've created a userform to populate rows in a worksheet. The userform gets details of flights with inbound and outbound dates. I'd like a calendar to popup so the user can just select a date with the click of the mouse which then resides in the textbox until sent to the sheet. I know how to get the calendar to pop up when entering directly into the sheet but I don't want the user to have to touch the sheet unless making amendments.
I am looking to fill out a combobox (say combobox1) in a userform from a set of ranges located in a different workbook (that is in a different location).
For example, the cells that would need to be in the combobox are B5:B41,D5:D40 and F5:F45 and the file location is W:WCWORKCENTERS.xls
how can I build a userform to display all values from a row? in order to select a row, i was thinking to use a combobox to display values from one column and based on that selection, display all values in that row? the reason i want to use a userform is because i would also like to be able to edit that data.
Then hide the worksheet which essentially hides the workbook as only 1 sheet is present in workbook. This should make the workbook available every time a user opens Excel
Now when i initialize the form i get an error
Run-time error '1004': Method 'Range' of object'_Global failed
However when i unhide the worksheet the form runs fine. Do i need to declare the combo boxes differently than shown below The range "Tools" does exist on the hidden workbook.
A textbox on a userform is populated through cell references which have formulas. Works OK. I want to change this by getting rid of the formulas in the cells and have the textbox populated by a name. The following formula is entered in the "Refers To" box =DEGREES(ATAN(RADIANS(ATAN2(Sht1!$G$34-Sht1!$G$33,Sht1!$H$34-Sht1!$H$33)))*(LastDep-Sht1!$G$33))+Sht1!$H$33 The name is "TopLine" (without quotation marks) When I enter =TopLine anywhere in the worksheet, it gives me the proper answer. I have been trying to populate the textbox with "TopLine" but without success. I tried a listbox but that doesn't work either. I have exhausted the search possibilities (I think).
I'm attempting to add the values for a combobox and (2) text boxes to a list box on a form. The list has 3 columns. When I run code to add to the list box the values are added on separate rows instead of the same row. See code below and attached screen shot.
VB: Private Sub cmdAddToList_Click() Dim i As Integer Dim iRow As Integer If Me.cboParts.ListIndex = -1 Then Exit Sub For i = 0 To Me.lstParts.ListCount - 1
If this control is a TextBox, I would like to read the Text property, and if it's a ComboBox, I would like to read the Value property.
Public Function readValue(c As Control) As String If (TypeName(c) = "TextBox") Then ' convert the Control to TextBox then put readValue = c.Text Else If (TypeName(c) = "ComboBox") Then 'convert the Control to ComboBox then put readValue = c.Value End If End If End Function
I need to populate a combo box on a form with the column name (A,B,C...etc) and the first row data. I need the code to check all columns in-case of missing column data.
Its important to note the data will be dynamic. In my add in, a form opens on requests and asks the user which column he needs to action data on. this could be on any one of several non similar spreadsheets.
E.G.: Combox to hold the following data (see column D has no data or header row):
Column A - Date Column B - Rep Column C - Customer Column D - Column E - Product
I have found codes to do this however not one to show if I have varied selections. I have 3 combobox's and 2 textbox's to autofilter data on the same page. can someone tell me where I am going wrong in my code.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() With ActiveSheet .AutoFilterMode = False If Me.ComboBox1.Value = True Then With . Range("B2:S2") .AutoFilter .AutoFilter Field:=2, Criteria1:=Me.ComboBox1.Value End With End If
If Me.ComboBox2.Value = True Then With .Range("B2:S2") .AutoFilter .AutoFilter Field:=4, Criteria1:=Me.ComboBox2.Value End With End If........................
I am trying to create a userform to allow user to register their new team member. In the userform, I have textbox1 (new team member) & textbox2 ( name of their leader). Once both the textbox has been filled, the user need to click on the commandbutton, which will then add the newly registered team member to the combobox1 in the Sheet1 and then create a spreadsheet(tab with the Team member name) in a separate workbook, which corresponde with the name of their leader (as filled in textbox2 in the userform.
My question is, instead of deleting the row, how can I use the combobox to replace that row with the updated info rather than delete and resort? I have a combobox that selects names from a sheet, column A and populates itself on Userform activate/initalize. Using the Combobox to select a name, this code below populates all the fields on the form, various text and comboboxs.
When users hits the update button, it currently finds the row and deletes it, see second code example, but this reaks havoc on various parts of the program, I have to move the combobox and add name textbox's because when it deletes the row, the combobox takes on the next rowsource and then writes that info, rather than the info selected.
Private Sub ComboBox1_Change() If bBlockEvents = True Then Exit Sub If ComboBox1.Value = "" Then Reset bBlockEvents = True ComboBox1.ListIndex = -1 bBlockEvents = False Exit Sub End If userow = ComboBox1.ListIndex + 3 usercolumn = 1 If userow = "0" Then ComboBox1.Value = "" Reset Else.......................
