Feb 1, 2009Im having alot of difficulty preventing the result FALSE when one or more of my >20 count within an index table doesnt have a result to display.
Is there anyone able to understand the following? That can perhaps provide a solution that returns no FALSE word??

Ive tried ISNA but I always get an error appear when i try to use it, perhaps you could edit the command above so that ISNA works whenever FALSE is the result?

Return Blank Cell Instead Of False

=IF(ISBLANK(H16),"",IF(H16="Car","Ca",IF(H16="Boat","Bo")))
Where I would like it to return a Blank cell if H16 is blank. However it always puts False in the cell because there is a Vlookup that is hidden H16. Is there a way I can make it return as a blank cell instead of false.
Cell Act As True Or False Checkbox
Dec 11, 2009I have some code for another project which was using checkboxes to select elements to copy/paste.
However, I need too many checkboxes and I think it is slowing down the run time.
I'm wondering if it's possible to have a cell act as a true/false checkbox?
Then I would just change my code from
if checkbox1.value = true then...
to
if range("A1").value = true then....
Insert Formula In Cell From VBA With False
May 25, 2006I want to make changes to a cell's formula when a combobox option is clicked,
I can make the changes using sheet1.cells(x,y) = "=WHATEVER(bla,bla,false)"
The problem is that when I run the program and make a change in the combobox, false is written as 'false' in the cells formula, which drives it into not working and displays ####### as the cells result.

Apr 7, 2009Is there a formula or VB code like the =TYPE() function that will return whether a cell contains a FORMULA? Here's the issue:
I'm writing a macro to update 10,000 sheets. Each sheet has a column that I'm updating with a new formula. Some of these formulas have been previously overwritten with a random number that would delete the formula from the cell. I have to leave the overwritten values where there is no formula, and replace the values of the formulas where they are still intact. I assume that if I can identify whether there is a formula in the cell or not, I can choose that cell to skip or update.

Jul 2, 2014How to leave a cell truly empty if the criteria of my IF statements is untrue. Currently, I'll write something like:

But for some reason, when I copy and paste the resulting range of values elsewhere (to rid myself of the formula that determined them), the cells that did not return a value (where the statement is FALSE), are not recognized by a "Go To Special > Blanks" request, until I select all of the "empty cells" and clear them manually. Yet when I try to do a search on the same range for an empty space, I get no hits.

Cell A1 gets the value YES (or NO) assignment by the user.
Cell B1 has some calculated value let's say 4 based on the formula If(A1="YES";2+2)
Now If the user assigns "NO" to A1 the value of Cell B1 becomes FALSE (return value of second part of the If statement)
I do not want the value of B1 changed if A1=NO and to stay the same (4)

Mar 24, 2014I am trying to perform a calculation in a cell that leaves the value 0 if before Feb 2014, changes to the value of another cell in Feb 2014 and leaves the value unchanged if after Feb 2014. I can get to the Feb 2014 value but after that month the value changes to 0.
The Cell formula that I am trying to use is as follows:

A3 contains TODAY()
H114 is the cell being calculated
AA118 is the cell containing the calculated value for the current month.
VBA Loop - Remove Single Character From Cell String Then Calculate New Value In Cell
Mar 1, 2012I have a string of text in cell A2. In cell B2 of my spreadsheet is a formula that calculates a number based on the text string in cell A2.
I want to write a VBA loop that removes a single character from the cell A2 string, then calculate the new value in cell B2. I want this loop to continue until the value in B2 falls below a set value (in this case 60).
My code so far

Two requests:
1. Could the UDF be modified such that any part of a string contained within brackets is also removed (e.g. "NLGA High Street (West-Enfield), EN6" becomes "nlgahighstreeten")?
2. Can an argument be added to the format of the UDF, such that numbers (0 to 9) are either included or excluded (e.g. RemoveCharacters(A1,1) where the argument ´1´ would include any numbers (0 to 9), so "NLGA2003 High Street (West-Enfield), EN6" becomes "nlga2003highstreeten6")? ´blank´or ´0´would exclude these numbers, i.e. would return "nlgahighstreeten"
