I tried to create a simple VBA form to assure users have a few key cell entries done before generating a weekly budget report. When I click on the User Form Button to initialize the form I am getting a Run-Time error '424' Object required error message.
View 2 RepliesI am populating a UserForm from some ranges on my workbook. All is well EXCEPT for the third guy down- "lstCheckDep". The only difference I can figure out is that the cell it is drawing from has a date format. How can I adjust for this so that it's contents can go on the UserForm, without getting hung up on the formatting?

Generally works upon restart. Can load and unload the form numerous times. Seems loading the form after a few minutes results in the form failing to load generating the error. Found no consistent cause thus far.
Results in a hard crash: Restart Excel as only option.
The Form Code for Controls loads a modeless transaprent form. Has been working for months. Don't know if this error is new or has been there all along.

I have a user form that builds a workbook from one template sheet and information in a SQL Server database. The template sheet contains 4 charts that are copied to every new sheet in the workbook, then their data ranges are set through VBA code. For a while the code was working wonderfully. All the necessary sheets were being generated and correctly populated.
Yesterday I added a new module to generate another sheet and pull data from the same SQL Server tables. Now if I run the userform it will work fine once and create all the needed sheets, and set all the charts to the proper ranges. However, if I delete all the created sheets and run the form again, I get:
Runtime Error '-2147417848 (80010108)'
Automation Error
The Object Invoked has disconnected from its clients
The error consistantly occurs for the following line of Selection.Copy Destination:=Worksheets("Master").Range("D1")
After the error the selected range still shows up as surrounded by a selection box, but if I change sheets, the box moves to the new sheet. Also I cannot select any new cells in the work book. In order to get Excel to work again I have to End Task from the Task Manager just to get it to close. When I restart Excel and go back to my work book I get the same results, i.e. The form works great once, then Excel dies.
I have tried qualifing all of the objects that can be qualified. I have tried setting all possible varriables to Nothing before exiting my macros. Nothing I have tried, or found suggested so far in the forum works.
I am having problems getting my pdf to initialize on the userform. I am referencing a 3d PDF which I thought would have been the problem, but I also tried it using a regular PDF. The only thing I am getting is that it is initializing and the progress does not move one bit.
I am currently using AcroPDF plugin and referencing the file location

I have also tried
Me.AcroPDF1.loadfile (PDF SOURCE)
but had the same results.
I'm trying to make an excel sheet that will fill in labels to a 96 well plate in order to sort and calculate the data. The problem is when i set up the textbox in the user form i want it to pull data on the plate format from cells that have already been filled in using another userform i have created for the standard curve.
My userform has 96 text boxes (one for each well in the plate). They have been named A1 through H12 corresponding to the wells. What I have written is:

The userform always loads with the textbox blank.What am i doing wrong? I tried activating the correct sheet in the workbook first that doesn't work. I included a command button where i put the same value code in and then it will update. I don't want to have to update the form however. I want it to load with the cells filled in.

I have written a Excel (2003) that searches a worksheet for a string in any cell. If the string is not found, it uses the 'On Error GoTo' command to jump to a given label. It works fine on the first string not found. When it searches for the next non-existent string, it fails with:
'Run-time error '91':
Object variable or With block variable not set'
Do I have to clear a buffer after each cells.find search?

I would like to know if this is possible. I want to create 4 different forms. I want 1st form to open from a command button. Then 12 hours later, if you click the button form 2 opens. then 12hrs later form 3 would open, 12 hours later form 4. Then after 12 further hours back to form 1. And keep looping around.

When I run this I get this halt "System error&H80070057 (-2147024809). The parameter is incorrect. I havn't been doing VBA in a while as I am retired now but I have used this particular statement many times in the past and never had this error before. I have made sure there no typos. I open another workbook which has forms opening and copy pasted the the routine into my other workbook but I get the same error.
I have a userform called "Description_Form". I had a listbox on this which worked 100%. I then decided to replace the listbox with a combobox. I replaced the word listbox1 with combobox1 in teh code below and now I am getting an error message:

I'm getting an "Error 400 - Form already displayed; can't show modally" error from a UserForm project I've been making. It's attached below. How it *should* work:Use the button "ENTER NEW DATA" to open the UserForm. Submitting the Form should insert the data into a new row below the already filled ones. (the range of Form data starts at row 7)Click on a Non-Empty, Protected cell of Form data, and the UserForm should open, containing the data of that row within its corresponding fields. Submitting the Form should modify only that very row from which it was sourced.When you close the workbook (OzgridMST1.xls), the Form data should be copied into another workbook (on Sheet1) on the same level as OzgridMST1. (I couldn't include it in the . ZIP file since it would have been too massive... Just create a new workbook called FormDBTrial1.xls on the same level.)
Problem(s):When i fill-in and Submit the UserForm for a second time (by either the button or a Non-empty cell), the Error 400 appears and traces back to [UserForm].Show in the Sheet code. I've double-checked my code and can't see what the problem is.When i Submit the Form through the Non-empty cell, it submits into a NEW row, and not the same one! My code used to work, I've tested it many many times. I've triple-checked my code, can't figure.Finally, when I close the Workbook, an Error comes up saying it can't find FormDBTrial.xls, even when it plainly does exist on the same level, same folder, etc.
Everything worked fine until I added the "Copy To Another Workbook" functionality. Been over it and the forum so many times my head is spinning...
I have a userform with about 20 multipage tabs, each of which has quite a few text and combo boxes. My problem is I think I have reached some physical limits for the number of controls on the userform. When I try and add code for the userform I get an "out of memory" error.
I thought I have seen some limits on the length of macro code before, but couldn't find them again. If anyone could let me know the limits on userform controls and the number of VBA lines allowed behind the userform, that would be great.
I have tried to put as much of the code as possible in public subs, but there is still a fair amount of code that is associated with things like the AfterUpdate function and I don't know of any other place to put this code. Please let me know if there is another way to put this code in so I don't run out of room.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but every other time I run this one specific macro, I get a "Run-time error '1004': Paste method of Worksheet class failed". I even tried running this macro, then running a different one, then running this again, but I still got the error every other time.

Does anyone know how to make a form control (ex combobox, textbox) have multiple columns so that it would behave like 4 controls in one. What im going for is a control that looks like the control used when setting windows system time "12:30:00 AM" So "12" is in col 1, ":" is in col 2, "30" is in col 3, ":" is in col 4, "00" is in col 5, and "AM" is in col 6.

I would like to automatically include colons in a time field. So if I were to type "081500" (or even "81500"), it would complete it as "08:15:00".
I'm making a data entry form for a user, and one of the fields is in a time format (mm:ss). Is there any way that I can validate that field in "cmdOK_Click()" so that when the user clicks "ok" on the data entry form, if they haven't entered a date a msgbox comes up.
I tried IsNumeric with an If function but to no prevail.
I have attached my excel database, as think I'm having a funny moment, I keep getting an error message of Object Reuired when I click on the form button to launch the Input Form, where have I gone wrong as to why the Input form will not load?

I'm trying to tweak this code from a previous form I created but I'm getting a compile error message. On my old form...the first box was a combo list box where the person entering data would select a value. On the new form, its a text box where the person will enter the value. I thought I could just change the me.cbo[name].listindex to me.tbo[name].listindex - but that seems to be causing the issue. I'm not sure what I would put after the me.tbo[name]. to get the code to run...

I'm creating a Purchase Order Form that will reduce time spent adding in contact details.What I'm looking to achieve is a form that will be printed with a few formulas allowing sections of the form to be filled out automatically once a singular company name (chosen from a drop-down list I created, currently with a 'Combo box ActiveX') then the rest of the form is filled out accordingly.

I get an error message "run time error '424' object required" (which happens when I have Form1.show in the BOTH workbook_open event and the userform_initialize event (oops)). When I removed form1.show from the userform_initialize I don't get an error but I also get no form. I recall having this issue before but I can't recall how to fix it.
Can I call the userform_initialize event from the workbook open event to get around this successfully and properly?
I keep getting a Run Time Error 1004 (Application Defined or Object Defined Error) when my sub reaches this line:
ActiveCell.Formula = "=SUM(D222,D224,D226,D227,D229,...)"
In the actual line of code the "..." above is another 20-30 or so cells in column "D". Probably no more than 150-170 characters in the line.
If I remove half of the cell range names it works, but I need all of the cell ranges for the equation.
