I am look for a way to send out an individual email to a list (Column A) in my excel spreadsheet.
I need to send out an email with a signature in to a lot of addresses.
I want to send emails to about 12 - 14 people with various different excel spreadsheets using macros. This is after I have finished running a macro that splits a report into various departments and needs to be emailed to the heads of each department. I want to be able to attach each ecel report to its owner and have the macro email it for me once the reports have been generated.

1. Attached is an excel spreadsheet. In column A, each time the word total is seen, i want an email to be sent to to someone with the total in colum E.
Eg.
A B C D E
UAFEQ1 TOTAL xxxx xxxxxxxx xxx R 15 000
ALPROP TOTAL xxxx xxxxxxxxx xxx -R 20 000
For UAFEQ1 TOTAL I would like a mail to be sent to john@example.com
For ALRPOP TOTAL I want like a mail to be sent to peter@example.com
If the total in column E is positive i want the mail to say:
Please see deposit of R 15 000
If the total in colum E is negative i want the mail to say:
Please see withdrawal of -R 20 000
The currency is Rands (South Africa)
Sometimes, i need to send 20 or more e-mails. And these can repeat themselves so, there may be two totals for UAFEQ1 TOTAL and a mail must be sent each time. See attached as an example.
The macro can stop when Grand Total is reached. No email needs to be sent for the grand total.
I have a macro which uses Outlook to send an email. I know it's not possible to over-ride the annoying 'Another program is trying to send an email....' dialogue box but I wonder if there is a way of exiting sub if the user clicks No on that dialogue box?

My code up to now saves a copy of the sheet in a file, and I send that file out.
Unfortunatly when I run my macro it ends with the email opening, the file being attached, and I need to input the email adress. Also, i need to automatically overwrite what is in the folder.
My code looks nothing like the one on Ron's tutorials.
I want to run a macro dailly where he is going to look in a specific column and based on that value he needs to send emails based on several other cells.
It is a contract database. So for example in:
column A = Country
B = Supplier
C = Days untill end
D = SPOC
E = Manager
What do i want that when i run the macro he looks at column C and where-ever he finds "90" he send automaticly an email to the personnes in column D and E.
In subject i want to see the name of the supplier.
In the email i want to put a text like :
Hello,
Hereby i want to inform you that the contract "Supplier" is going to expire.
Please take the necessary action!,
Also i want to do the same thing when it hits the "30" with other text but i guess that it easy to do when the "90" works
I have a spreadsheet that has a command button which generates an email in outlook express, which until today was 100% fine no problems at all.
However I now need it to generate an email (with the email address and subhject line completed) but not to send it - I've tried everythign I can think of but with no joy
Code below:
Private Sub CommandButton6_Click()
If Range("I88") = 1 Then
MsgBox "You have not completed all the details.", vbCritical
Else

MY VBA code failed and sucks---
I have a Excel spreadsheet with codes, names, and emails then I have a folder that have XML files with codes that should match and be sent via Outlook 2007 as an attachment.
Example:
Excel sheet
PHA Code
First
Last
email
ALxx2
Jon
Smith
Jon Smith@xyz.com
[code]....
XML files reside in the following folder:
C:UsershomecomputerDesktopTESTxml files
ALxx2_06122012.xml
ALxy10_06122012.xml
ALzz12_06122012.xml
BTW- I have about 3,000 emails to send.
I'm using Excel 2002 on and XP machine. I am creating a spreadsheet to track a work plan.
Column A: Name
Column B: Date
Column C: Time
Column D: YES
Column E: No
Column F: New Date
Column G: New Time
What I'm looking to do is input click able buttons in Columns D: Yes and Column E: No.
When a user clicks on YES, a pop up window should appear with the data in columns A,B,C.
The p0p-up should contain CONFIRM and CANCEL buttons.
Asking the user if they want to confirm the date and Time.
If CONFIRM is clicked Excel should then send an email to me and the user to say that the work schedule has been confirmed.
If CANCEL is clicked the pop-up window closes.
Secondly if the user clicks NO, a pop-up window should open with two free text boxes. One for Proposed date and One for Proposed time. And again 2 buttons for Confirm and Cancel.
If Confirm is clicked then Excel should record the data entered in the free text boxes into Column G and Column H and send emails to me and the user with the Proposed date and Time Data.
If CANCEL is clicked the pop-up window closes.
I've sent out an excel spreadsheet to a whole load of people and some have received emails back saying that it won't open properly. It's got a form which pops up and populates two data sheets behind it.
One of the issues I've had so far is that the Microsoft Common Controls library isn't installed on some computers so the form won't work. Are there any other controls that are likely to not be installed and thus prevent the form from opening?
I have attached an excel sheet which i wanted to write macro as an attachment. .
when I run a macro an email has to be sent to each persons listed in column A with Voucher # in the subject line and URL in the body of the message after the URL, the body of the message will remain same for all the emails:
so I have typed the body of the message in 2nd sheet:
My current project involves sorting a spreadsheet, selecting specific qualifying data from the sheet, storing it into a variable, the pasting the individual values from the list into individual cells on a different sheet within the same workbook. Here is the code I have so far...
Code:
Sub Test()
'' freeze screen updating to remain on main worksheet
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
'' move to Avaliable worksheet
[Code] ..
When this code runs the first item in the list pastes into Sheet10 A1, but no other values from the list are placed into Sheet10. Previous to this I had been using a variation of this code to push the list into a combobox list within a userform. In that case instead of
Code:
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Sheet10").Range("A1") = x
I had
Code:
Combobox1.list = x
And this worked perfectly; creating a list within the combobox (in fact I can use this modification to interrogate my code to determine if the list is being properly generated, and it is).
I am trying to distribute a list of data evenly throughout the list of people I have.
I am not sure how to describe it so I will upload the example excel as an attachment.
I have a list of people in column A and in B to E there are 4 numbers from 1 to 13. (Each person has 4 different numbers). In the next 24 columns are concatenations of these numbers in every order possible. On a separate sheet I have a list of concatenations of all possible combinations of numers 1 to 13 in groups of 4. e.g. 1234, 1235 etc. I have then counted how many times each of the concatnations from the first sheet appear. What I want to do is put the names of the people whoes concatentaions match the ones on the third sheet.
View 14 Replies View RelatedHere is how my spreadsheet is set-up. This is unfortunately not something I can change :
- I have a list of products A to Z, starting in A2
- I have email addresses in row 1, starting in B1 up to Z99
- I have a matrix with 4 possible values in B2 to Z99. The values are either "L", "C", "I" or blank.
Here is what I am trying to do :
I would like to have a macro created for each product (column A) to send emails to those indicated in the matrix.
When the email is identified with "L" in the matrix for particular product, this email should be in the To:, when "C" or "I" it should go to CC:

You can download the excel from the above link.
This excel includes some text data, in each cell there is an email address along with additional text. I only want to get the email addresses from the entire data.
I have 10 columns that are as follows. Name, rank 04, name, rank 05, name, rank 06, name, rank 07, name, rank 08. The longest name and rank list is over 1200 names long. What I need to do is create 1, 3, and 5 year averages based on rank.
My question is, is there a way to sort alphabetically that will automatically align column a,c,e,g,and i alphabetically that will also align each row by name.
example:
name 04 05 06
joe 75 72
paul 82
carl 72 48
Joe isn't present in 05, Paul isn't present in 04 or 06, and Carl isn't present in 06.
Basically I need excel to add blank cells for people not on each years list so all names align.
I have got a list of email with identification number + email address. The PowerPoint are named by the identification number.
Can I send out the PowerPoint to the corresponding email address using VBA automatically? Or is there any other way to do it?
I am attaching a workbook with the VBA code for sending email.
I found the code on this forum and changed a little bit to make it work for my application.
I am not sure if this is the most effective way, but it works.
The user would select from a list of names on sheet1 and click "send_mail" button. What I need done is to send sheet2 as an attachment.
The problem: The code is looking for address in cell "H7" on sheet2. I want to keep the address on sheet1, but send out sheet2.
If I copy the address from sheet1 to sheet2 in cell "H7", everything works fine. So I need soemone to help me change the code, so it will send out sheet2, but read address on sheet1.
What I am having trouble with is after making a data validation list in a column, I need to count each separate list entry and display it in a "totals" column. The drop down list has 4 entries yes, no, blank, and pending. The formula must count which value has been selected from the list and return it to a cell same as the COUNTA. I.E. 100 rows in the SS 50 are yes, 25 are no, 20 are pending, and 5 are blank.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I have a drop down list created that contains each state, is there a way to correlate a value (%) when that state is selected that would be able to be used in formulas created in other cells in that row? And how would I go about creating that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been searching through the site trying to find a solution to my issue, but I just can't seen to fixt it. Here is the scenario. I am working on a spreadsheet that will read some data, use that data to update the main chart and fill in the information in a table next to that chart. I recoreded 22 macros, total. Each macro corresponds to the especific type of chart that I need/want.
I want to be able to click on a drop down menu above the chart which will have each of the 22 options. Once the user clicks on the desired option, the specific macro will run and do that it should do. When I run the individual macro (without the VB that I wrote and will mention below), the system does what it should do. Everything looks dandy. But then I added this VB code to the sheet where the chart is:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Select Case Target.Range("A12").Value
Case "1"
Call a
Case "2"
Call b
Case "3"
Call cc
Case "4"
Call d
Case "5"
Call e................
I have an issue with being able to process my data i have a text file in notepad that lists a massive amount of values (enough for excel to process if they are listed down a column but not across a row) each separated by a space. As an example here is a small portion of the data.
81768102 191193210 386225426 110858190 393958997 21773704 22450052 70617438 843133051 103582830 370163346 819494826 109538724 846339187 19638405 50748904 476397524 128490548 134215188 252862729 387318907 82658728 15822910 199255054 172623979 59872284 773581712 124854321 547098635 604524102 45265054 203132867 225629848 215828319 14779508 300950341 715797961 329121584 366323012 583555062 917794380 216847744 784432795 606179111 537865871 500392632 37701513 830010548
I know how to import this as text but i can only wither get it all in one cell or across the 1st row. The first row can only display about 16000 values and that isn't enough for my end product to be accurate enough.
So is there any way to import the text file and have it formatted so a each new value has its own row? For example...
81768102
191193210
386225426
110858190
393958997
21773704
Or is there anyway to get the data from my already imported giant A1 cell into the above format?
Added an example of how it looks and how i want it to look. This is how it looks when i open the txt file containing my data in a way that all values stay in the excel sheet. As well as this there is an example of how i want it or rather need it to look.
In column G of my excel 2003 worksheet named: Data, I have a list of people's first names. These names were extracted from an external database.
Some of the first names actually contain peoples second names or partner's names.
Example:
John & Jill
James and Sue
Kerrie-Anne
Joanna Lyn
I need a macro to please delete people's second name.
So in the example above I need to keep all names that are joined by: & or and or - (such as John & Jill, James and Sue, Kerrie-Anne).
Also, in the example above I need to delete all names that are joined by a <space> (such as Joanna Lyn).
It runs fine for me, but when others (who are using Excel 2003) try to run it, it won't fire. The second macro entitled "Delete Foothill" runs fine though. "Run Foothill won't fire.
Sub Run_Foothill()
Sheets("Foothill Plaza (Weekly Call)").Unprotect Password:="Foothill"
'
' Run_Foothill Macro
'
'
Sheets("OC").Select
Range("B37:C44").Select
Selection.Copy
Sheets("Foothill Plaza (Weekly Call)").Select
Range("B4").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
Range("A12").Select
Application.CutCopyMode = False
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalDown).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalUp).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlEdgeLeft).LineStyle = xlNone
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeTop)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.ColorIndex = 0
.TintAndShade = 0
.Weight = xlMedium
End With
In a desperate attempt to find a solution, I thought I would try what seems to be a very good and helpful forum filled with loads of expertise (yes I'm creaping here).
Out current mainframe systems churns out *.DOC reports for various managers all the time. I am trying to extract the data from these *.DOC files to a meaningful Excel spreadsheet. The first hurdle is killing me and I know that once I get past it I will be heading for the finish line. The email that comes to the inbox has the same title each time. I would like to open the *.doc file in excel, do my calculations and then move the email message to another email folder ready for deleting.
I have two columns with emails. I would like to delete the emails that have duplicates. I want to delete them from both columns.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have successfully adapted some code to create e-mails in outlook, insert text, add an attachment and specific who to send - all from within excel.
However, all of the recipients are contacts in our internal address book and what I would like to do is use the "shortened" version of their contact to send the e-mail.
e.g. Simon Jones e-mail address might be simon.jones@mycompany.co.uk - but if I simply type in Simon Jones; and then tab to the next line, outlook works out who this is all on it's own.
The problem is, if I specify in my code to send to Simon Jones; it does not convert it / work out who it is.
Is there a way of doing it via VBA?
If there is mailbox in outlook called "MIS". What VB should I use to count emails in Mailbox.
