Taking Mean Average Of Sales From Multiple Workbooks

I am needing to create a table where one of the values is the mean sales from the last 3 months. Each month is in a different workbook. Each workbook is labeled "1 - Profit & Loss" where 1 is the month up to "12 - Profit & Loss". So each new workbook I create (save as and rename the month) I need it to update the workbooks it looks at.

I also am needed in another cell of the table the same month of the current workbook but exactly one year prior.

I am not at a full year yet, so until there are exactly 13 workbooks (where the 13'th can look back at the 1'st) the second formula should just display "No Comp"

Average If Formula Multiple Workbooks

I have several Workbooks ( named 110807, 180807 upto 100508) which include many worksheets(Lets say named Mon, Tue, Wed etc). The format of these workbooks is identical but the numbers within are different. I also have a separate " Totals" workbook in the same folder within which I need to calculate the average of all H15 cells across the whole range of Tue worksheets but only if Cell H3 in the same Tue worksheets is >0. The problem seems to be asking for a =AVERAGE(IF formula but no joy.

Taking Average Of Grades?

I need to calculate the average of 5 grades from A,B,C,D, and E. However I want it to the average even if any number of grades (i.e. up to 5) are entered.

e.g

grade1 grade 2 grade 3 grade 4 grade 5
A A C B E

I have assigned a vlookup table to convert to numerical values, and got it to calculate the average, but it falls apart when any grade is missing.

I have used the iferror command on the different calculations, but when i put them to gather into one large string, again it falls apart.

Average From Whole Months Data Taking Exact Date To Start With

In the file attached there is only the data to look at, though file is little bit lager.

Now in cell G10 I've got the stock forecast in 3 months time, this stock forecast is calculated from a date rounded to the closest month (according to my criteria), then the formula looks at the reference number cell D1 to work out the formula. All the steps are in the file.

In order to be more accurate my boss and I want to use the exact date, so that delete all the round month process. My intention is to use the day of the date and then make a fraction of the months to calculate the average. Taking into account that a month have as an average of 30.4166 days.

In the file I did an example, to clarify my messy explanation.

Cells B2, C2, D2 won't be needed in order to do so.

Please have a look at the file. At the end my intention is to to such a formula or a similar one. The formula should be an automatic one when typing dates in cell A10

The result of it is in row 31 and 32.

Excel 2010 :: VLookup Between 2 Workbooks Taking Into Account Duplicates On Source?

I've got 3 columns of formulas that end up doing what I need, but I'm thinking it could probably be done easier with VBA.

I have 1 book with a sheet I'll call Log & another book with a sheet I'll call Source. On the Log, column E has the first 9 characters of vendor names & /vendor number (ex: EDMUND FI/00250), along with other data out through column P. On Source, the vendor names are in C & a short code for their name is in A.

I need to compare the first 9 characters in Log col E with the first 9 characters in Source col C. When a match is found, I need to return the short code from Source col A. BUT - if there's a duplicate in either Source col C or A, instead I need to return the word VERIFY, preferably with the cell highlighted in red.

Right now, I have, on Source col L:

and in source M:

=IF(OR(A2=A1,A2=A3,L2=L1,L2=L3),"VERIFY",A2)
This gives me the first 9 characters of the vendor name in L & the short code OR VERIFY in M

Then, in Log col R, I have an array formula:

=VLOOKUP(MID(E4,1,9),'[PRETICKET P ADDRESSES working.xls]Paddress'!$L:$M,2,FALSE)

This gives me either the short code or VERIFY from Source M. Also, sometimes it doesn't find a match & it returns #N/A. Then I have to do Conditional Formatting to make the VERIFY cells red & I thought I'd make the error cells be yellow (although I haven't figured out the CF for that yet)

Is there a better way to do this with VBA? I'm working with Excel 2010; just got it & still figuring it out.

So basiclly if the Jan total is $100 in column a, the Feb total is $150 in column b, and the March total is $200 in column c. I would like a formula that will tell me that the average increase in dollars is $50.

I need to use Excel 2007 in a stock sheet situation.
I have attached a picture of what the sheet will look like.
What I need is a formula that will take a value in column c and then add the value in colum a behind that. Preferably with a X or - between them ie.

If i took the first row and applied the formula it should kick out 5 x Jam
The main thing is it must output the answer to another file/page so that the main page stays the same. And if there is no value in Colum c it must ignore it.

Using Rolling 12 Month Sales And Minimum Monthly Sales?

I have a sales level that I need to track...My rolling 12 months' sales must be $85,000 and my currently monthly sales must be $7,000. I have a sheet that tracks the $85,000 and tells me what I need to achieve that, but I haven't figured out how to include the $7,000 monthly minimum....

The chart below is what I have. So for example, this month it's telling me I only need to sell another 3016.46 to hit the $85,000 rolling 12, but I actually need to hit $4821.79 to meet the $7k minimum.

Multiple Bonus Options On Sales Tracker

I am a bit of a novice with excel. I have created my own sales tracker where I get two forms of bonus.

Sheet 1 I have with all my sales. Based on the amount of sales I do I get a set bonus for each amount.
Sheet 2 I have for all the sales that progress.

They also are on a value basis- for every sale I get a certain amount of bonus. I have 2 cells calculating the amount of points. I was wondering if there was a way to have the cells calculate from the bonus table what i would get without me adding it up manually.

Sheet1 is booked leads.H3 calculates the total amount of points.
Sheet 2 is the paid occurences. F2 of that sheet is total points.
Sheet 3 is the bonus structure.

I am looking to put all the information in sheet 1:

Booked Bonus

Calculate Average $/HR By Pulling Data From Two Workbooks

I have two excel files that I am trying to gather information from to calculate the average $/hr earned by employees. The first file, which is currently called "Book 1" is generated by a different VBA code, the other "Employee Hour Output" is generated by our time clock program. What I am trying to do is have the script run from the PERSONAL workbook and look in the Employee Hour Output. In column B there are Employee names, for each employee that worked, there is a list of invoice numbers located in column E.

The code needs to see which invoice numbers each employee worked on then compare that to the $/HR earned from that job in the Book1 workbook. Then based on all the jobs worked, calculate the average $/HR that employee earned in the given time period. This information needs to be displayed with the employee name and $/HR in the first available row of columns H and I of the Book1 workbook.

I cannot solve with Excel 2010 and I have searched all over for the answer.

I have sales data that is approximately daily and would like to count the monthly data and summarize it as an average for the month in a separate column.

For example, I would like to turn this:

3/2/2005 $xxxx
3/5/2005 $xxxx
3/20/2005 $xxxx
4/2/2005 $xxxx
4/10/2005 $xxxx

Into this:
March 2005- $xxxx (monthly average)
April 2005- $xxxx (monthly average)

I have a feeling some 'countif' formula would work but I am not sure how to do this.

Get 5 Top Sales People Names And Their Sales?

In cells A4 to A54, their names are displayed.
In cells I4 to I54, their total sales are displayed.

Starting in cell B59 and C59 I'd like to display their name and sales respectively.

Also in column I I'd have a second value which would be a total of each department. Would it be possible to leave this data out of the formula? No big deal if I have to put that value in the next column.

I'm currently doing a survey using an excel workbook that contains multiple questions across multiple worksheets using radio buttons linked to certain cells.

I have around 400 workbooks coming back to me, so what i want to do is take specific values from across many worksheets within each workbook and combine them into a large master table in a seperate workbook.

I've tried using VBA, but not being very proficient at it i've hit a brick wall with that, so i'm hoping that there is an easier way to do it than what i'm currently pursuing.

I've got data being scraped from a site, putting 1 new workbook in a folder each day

each workbook has 40 sheets in it.

i need to run 5 modules in sequence on a sheet then loop to the next sheet and run the same 5 modules.

ive writen all the modules, and can loop them through the sheets in sequence but i cant work out how to loop them through the each workbook in the folder..

is there an easy way to do this or can it not be done because it would need access to the folder that holds all the wordbooks which lives outside of excel on the desktop ?

Finding Current Month Total Sales Using Current Month To Date Sales In Formula / Macro?

Basically, I'm doing a recorded macro for work where I take an export and manipulate the data to show differences between sales from last year and this year. Also comparing this months projected sales to avg of last 6 months and also against last years this month.

The problem I'm running into is in automating the this month sales for mid-month exports. I can do it individually but I can't find a formula that will do it. Data is in one cell per month, so ex. 130 sales this month so far. I need to have it convert that to projected sales for total month based on what day it currently is.

I track distribution using 1 workbook for each sales rep. Each workbook has a separate worksheet (scorecard) for each of their locations showing which of our products are used in that location, for various functions. Each of the locations has a segment (bar, nightclub, casual dining, etc.), and a class (AA, A, B, etc.). All of the scorecards are identical, and are in the same file folder on our shared drive.

Sample:

Location A Class:AA Segment: Sports Bar Rep: John Smith

Product: Product X Product Y Product Z
Well: 1 0 0
Back Bar: 0 1 0
Cocktail Menu: 0 1 1

I was unable to find an HTML maker so this is not an actual sample but what I'm looking at. The above data indicates that for location A (Sports Bar, Class AA), Product X is used as the well, Product Y is on their back bar and their cocktail menu, and Product Z is not used at this location at all.

I need to set up an analytic workbook where I can sum data based on multiple and grouped criteria, and for multiple reps ie- display a scorecard that shows totals for nightclubs and sports bars, class AA, A, and B, for a particular rep; OR display a scorecard that shows totals for nightclubs, class A for a group of reps. Ideally I would like to do this using drop down menus that allow the user to select multiple criteria in each of the drop downs, having the data auto-populate based on those selections.

I have about 20 workbooks with different file names for different projects all saved in the same folder. Each workbook has about 10 worksheets and each worksheet is named in a similar fashion in each of the 20 workbooks (eg. revenue, cost, variance etc.). I want to pull out a worksheet named ' forecast' from each workbook into a master workbook so that the master workbook would contain the 20 forecast worksheets.
