Unprotected Sheet Code Not Working?
Jun 9, 2014I'm currently using a vba script to unprotect all of my worksheets within my workbook in order to refresh the pivots and then protect them again once the pivots are completed, but there are two worksheets I would like to remain unprotected in order for users to be able to edit them after the pivots have been refreshed. Now I've tried adding a sub code in order to unprotect one of the sheets as a test to see if it will allow me to edit the worksheet after I update the pivots. Unfortunately the coding isn't working, and the worksheet is still remaining in protect mode. Here's the code I am using to protect the worksheets when refreshing the pivot as well as the code I am attempting to use in order to unprotect the one worksheet.

Depending on a persons user name columns are hidden/visible so that they can only enter information relevant to their section. The workbook is also shared.
What I want to do is stop people from being able to overwrite the headings or formula that calculate the stats but as the workbook is shared and the VBA that hides/unhides the columns needs the sheet to unprotected I am having to use code to prevent this: ....
Clear All Unprotected Cells?
Jul 25, 2014I have a button, and I need a Macro that will cause it to clear all unprotected cells. I think I can figure out how to get it to clear an individual cell, and I suppose I could enter every cell I want cleared individually...but that might take awhile.
Is there a way to set up a Macro that will delete the contents of every unprotected cell? I guess I haven't tried it yet - if I protect the cells, will it not delete those? Also, there is a small image - I don't want that deleted either.

If they Cut and Paste something in the unprotected cells, the formulas get a REF#. There is no problem if they Copy and Paste. How can I prevent the REF# error without resorting to VBA?

What I want to do is create a little search cells(C5) on my spreadsheet and have the code reference whatever is typed into the search cell. I'm sure it's a simple adjustment. Code For A Textbox To Search A Range Of Cells For A Match
Aug 10, 2014I created a user form that has two textboxes on it. One is to enter a person's name that gets put into column A, starting at row 4, and the other is to enter a number into column B, starting at row 4.
What I would like to do is for the form to search the names that have been entered in column A for duplicates in the same range. If the name is not there already, then I would like it to operate as normal. If it already exists, then I would like the number in the text box to go into column C in the same row as the name.
Here is the code I have already on the Submit button:

Jun 28, 2013I would like to perform a search on only the worksheets listed in a worksheet titled table of contents. I would like to use multiple criteria for this search and send only the unique results to a worksheet titled results. Each worksheet listed in the table of contents has a cell address for each heading that I would like to extract data from the same column. The attached workbook example shows the data that I would like to collect when I search for cells that begin with "AB" and cells that begin with "CD". I collected this data by copy and pasting all the data from each worksheet into the results page and then applying filters and advanced filter to remove duplicates. This method does not work well for the original workbook as the data is quite extensive.

Jun 12, 2014My Excel program (Excel 2010) currently has several columns and each column looks for and pulls data from a specific file on my computer. Then I need to delete any duplicate data entries, count the number of unique entries and track the changes through a chart. I have everything done except I cannot figure out (or find on the internet) a way to search in multiple columns (more than 2) and delete just the duplicate cells. I want to delete the cells in a way where there is one left. For example if the code 12gf is duplicated three time, I want to be left with one 12gf (it doesnt matter what column the original one is left in). Additionally, column length changes and they are not sorted. I have attempted to attach an image of an example file below.

May 19, 2008I am trying to write a code in VBA to collect data from several weekly workbooks, and list them up in a monthly workbook.
These weekly workbooks change names depending on the week, for example, we have:
Report week 1.xls
Report week 2.xls
Report week 3.xls
Report week 4.xls
Each report has the same layout, so the data I want will be in the same cells. However, as the report names change as the weeks in the year go on, I can't write the code for weeks 1-4 as they will not work with week 5 onwards!

I can get it to work to search one cell (as below):

(In this case the respone is No Change as Cell G10 contains "Same")
However cannot get it to work for several cells. I have pasted below and highlighted the function I would like it to perform:

Essentially the other cells in that row (G10:R10) all contain "Same", however for some reason it is identifying this as FALSE and putting in the data from the 'Aug 09 Matrix' sheet.
