Enter Current Date Into Last Used Row Of Column Of Another Sheet
Mar 1, 2008From sheet1 on a checkbox click I am attempting to post the system date into sheet3 cell c3. If c3 already contains data then I want the cell selection to go down to the next row and post the date there. I if cell c3 has no data then it posts fine but if I need to goto the next row then I get a runtime error "object doesn't support this property or method".

Enter Date If Data Changes
May 2, 2007I have 13 columns - 12 representing each month of the year and then a total. I start in F15 with Jan and end in R15 with the total - this is the heading row.
Below that I have my numbers for each month. Here's what I need to do: Anytime the total changes (by updating the monthly numbers), I need the day's date to be automatically entered into F14. This way I know the last time the data was changed.

May 28, 2014What I want to do is if I add data into B7 or F7 then the current date will appear in J7. I also don't want the date to change every time the project is opened.
Thus,
If I enter "withdraw or any word" into B7 or F7 - The current date (4-Dec) would appear in J7.
then if I close excel and I open it tomorrow, J7 would still read as 4-Dec, while if I enter "deposit or any word" into B8 or F8, the current date (5-Dec) would appear in J8.
- would need to be able to enter multiple entries on one day as well.
- also i am not familiar regarding macros.

Mar 15, 2013I have copied my first sheet into multiple sheets. Now when I enter data in one it shows up in all of them. How do I stop this from happening? I have cleared out any content in them and the formula bar is blank in every line.

I uploaded a small excel sheet to show my database and what I'm looking to do. Basically I would like to enter a date range and see these answers:
Total Orders in that date range
Total unique orders in that date range
List of customers (name included) who ordered more than once in that date range
The only columns of data I need to use are: firstname, lastname and orderdate.

Aug 19, 2013I have used data validation to colour rows in one of my spreadsheets at work. The column that uses the data validation is the first column and has a drop down list of 5 words. One of which is collected, which currently indicates when the card has been collected by the individual in question and no further attention is required. It colours the rest of the row green. There is also a column that is entitled 'Date Collected'. Instead of having to input this manually, is there a way to automatically enter the date to be the date that the 'Collected' value was selected?
The title is misleading, I realise there will need to be some sort of IF statement in the 'Date Collected' column. It's been a long day already.

Dec 26, 2013I have a spreadsheet where a date is entered in column A with data in B-F. I am trying to write code to look in column A for a specific date and enter additional data into columns G-L on the same row. It needs to be able to skip the rows that are blank. So I have the dates of 12/1, 12/2 and 12/3 in column A rows 1,2 and 3 and I want to enter data for 12/2 on row 2 skipping the blank cells in row 1 for 12/1. Here is the code I have below.

Enter 4 Columns Of Data In Row Then Shift After Hitting Enter?

I would like to enter data in a row with 4 cells of info. then hit enter and return to the first cell and move the row down. all four cells must have data entered. and all four must move down. i tried some code as below i found and i modified but it did not work as expected. this moved the row down when returning the cursor to A2. It also should not copy the data style of the top row.

VBA Code To Pull Data From A Sheet Based On Date And Add That Data To Another Sheet?
Aug 8, 2014 I use my workbook to track sales data from one store to the next. I use my workbooks to compare data from year to year. Each year's data is displayed on a separate worksheet. '2013' has 2013's data, '2014' has 2014's. On the 2014 sheet, I have a Prior Year's Sales that pulls data from the previous year's spreadsheet using a formula which I just drag down each day I enter sales. I would like to automate this process and have the VBA code check for today's date and automatically pull the previous year's sales data from the '2013' sheet and put it in the appropriate cell on the '2014' worksheet. I hope I have explained this well enough to understand. I've included a link to my workbook for reference.

May 29, 2014I have a workbook that I'm using to tracking staffing patterns within a mental health agency. When the workbook opens the user is asked to pick a date range and an office location. I've placed code into the userform that pre-fills the "start date" with today's date and the "end date" 7 days from today's date. I would like the user to be able to enter a unique date range should they wish but I have yet to figure out the coding to accomplish my goal.

In each row I enter the guest name under the name col and I enter a room number (example: 1A, 1B, 2A, etc...) in the column to the right that coresponds with the day the guest will be staying.

It seems to work on the first row but I have problems with any rows below that. Basically it acts like there is no data in the rows below.... I think the fact that the names on sheet 1 are not alphabetical is creating part of my problem? I tried a lookup formula but it seems like it has to be the first column in the worksheet and it has to be alphabetical to work like that.

What I am trying to do is find VBA code that will move data by date from an (Entry) sheet to a (Historical) sheet. I want to enter a date in B3 on the (Entry) sheet. I then enter data into C3. What I would like to happen is when the data is entered into C3 the sheet goes and finds the same date that I entered in B3 and copies that data from C3 into Column E of the (Historical) sheet.

Jul 31, 2014I have to enter a ton of dates in cells that don't need to include the day. And so was hoping if there was a way to enter a date into a cell without having to enter the day.
In essence, it seems like I have to type in the date as month/day/year and excel will figure it out from there. I would like to be able to just type month/year without bothering with the day, such as 9/14. And then excel recognizes this as a date.
Excel has to be able to recognize it as a date because these dates are expiration dates. And I would like to conditional format these dates so that when the expiration date has past the cell turns yellow.

Option button one is set to default as True,
1.I enter information in to Text Box 1 (e.g. Test1), Option button 1 is True, click OK, the Text Box1 data + the time and date (Now() ) is entered in to the first blank row, (date = column A, Reg = column D & time = column F)
Text boxe1 is cleared of data.
Userform stays open.

2.I enter information in to Text Box 1(Test1) then Text Box 2 (1), Option button 2 is True, click OK, the data in Text Box1(Test1) is matched with the enters in column D (Test1). If this is a match then the data from Text Box2 is entered in to the same row as Test1 in the following order (token Number = column E & time = column G) Text Box 1 (Test1) is not required as it is already in column D
Text boxes1 & TextBox2 are cleared of data.
When I run the userform again all of the above is entered in to the next blank row. There will be a time delay between the first run and the second hence the need to match column D.

Nov 29, 2008I would like to make a list of vehicles with auto servicing dates appearing in the next column. How can I do this, example would be say 30/11/2008 was the last service, next column would be next service due 30/02/ 2009 and then a column next to that to say when service was done.
Pretty simple but I can't seem to get it to auto bring up the next service date which would be in 3 months time or 90 days.

I may have from 0 to 12 sales at that location on the same date. I am building a report in another sheet (sheet 2) that counts the number of sales for each date and displays that number in a cell in row 3. Above row 3, I want a formula that will reference the location (AZ sheet 1) and display that into my cell above row 3 in sheet 2. Each column in row 1 sheet 2 will have new date.
