Auto-populate Combobox - Extracts Unique Distinct Values From Column

The code below extracts unique distinct values from column A, except cell A1. Then the code adds the extracted unique distinct values to the combo box.

Everything will be working fine if the all combobox and data can be found in 1 sheet, but how could i make some tweaks if the combo box is located in sheet 2 provided your data to be populated is in sheet 1, i tried everything but the combobox doesnt update,

Summing Up Values In Column Corresponding To Unique Distinct Values In Another Column?

I have two columns in excel, col A and col B.What I would want to achieve is following:

Col A Col B
A 2

B 3

C 3

Now I want a total of values in column B pertaining to unique (or say 1st occurences) of values in Col A. So in this case the output should be 8 ,Achieved as follows(2 +3+3).

Auto Populate Distinct List From One To Another Table

I have two tables on two different worksheets. I would like to automatically populate a distinct list into column A in table 2 from the data in column A in table 1.

Table 2 must auto populate from table 2 every time a new row is added into table 1 - without any extra user interaction e.g. pressing a button etc. No offense intended to my better half but if she has to do anything more than enter a new row in table 1 she'll likely manage to screw it up after a week

I kind of managed to get it working using the below formula but both sets of data must be in tables so I can't copy the formula down the column without creating redundant table rows.

=INDEX(Classes!$A$2:$A$999, MATCH(0, COUNTIF($A$1:A1, Classes!$A$2:$A$9), 0))

Auto Populate 2nd Combobox Based On 1st Combobox Data

I need to populate two combo boxes from excel sheet, the data will be like below:

Column A Column B
A 1
A 2
A 3
A 4
A 5
B 100
B 101
B 102

So from the above data, one combo box should hold unique values A & B.

On selecting a value from the 1st combo box A or B, respective values should be populated in 2nd combo box.

So the data should be like below:

If A is selected in the 1st combo box, then 2nd combo box should only show the values 1,2,3,4 & 5.
If B is selected in the 1st combo box, then 2nd combo box should only show the values 100,101 & 102.

Friends I need it in a macro and one important point is, this is dynamic and it is not static and the data can be more.

Capture Unique Values From 1 Column And Populate The Result Into Another Column

I have values in COlumn A, probably about 50K rows, The total unique values on the column A is only about 27. I need to capture all those unique values and paste them in column B. I didn't want to do "Advance filtering" since the workbook has many macros's on it that the user simply click on. Im thingking of creating a loop and compare values already pasted in Column b but then that will take too much time to complete the loop. Is there any easier or yet more efficient way to accomplish this?.

Fill ComboBox With Unique Values From Column

I need to create a drop-down (or a combo list) list based on a column in a separate worksheet (in the same workbook). The values in the column have many duplications, and I simply want the combo box to return a unique list.

After trying this using various options like drop-down boxes, combo boxes etc it does not seem to work. A drop-down box will return a complete list (including all of the duplicates). In addition the drop-down was linked to a cell and the value returned to the cell was a number based on the position in the list when what I actually wanted was the text. For example - my list in Worksheet 2:

PETS
Cat
Dog
Dog
Cat
Horse
Rabbit...

In Worksheet 1 if I choose 'Dog' from my Combo box (or drop-down) along with showing all of the duplicates it returns '3', instead of what I want 'Dog' and no duplicates.

I want to count the number of unique, or distinct, company names in column [C7], subject to two conditions that will exclude certain unique company names from the count.

I should also point out that most company names appear multiple times in column [C7].

a) Count the unique company names in column [C7]...

b) ...including only those companies who have at least one "Yes" in column [C8] somewhere among their records

c) ...and who also have at least one value equal or greater than "1" in column [C15] somewhere among their records

Note that that there is no requirement that the "Yes" and the "1" ever appear in the same record.

Populate Adv Filter Criteria from Inputbox with valid data

I've set up a macro to extract 3 different sets of data using Advanced Filter (same data range, different criteria & extract ranges)

There are multiple options (different individual dates) to satisfy the criteria (a date) for each of the 3 extracts and I want the user to select the criteria (a specific date) from the range of unique values in the data range upon which the Advanced Filter criteria is going to be applied. (A bit like the effect provided by Autofilter)

My initial attempt was to capture the criteria date from the user and populate a cell, and then have a vlookup function in another cell check if that crieteria value exists in the specified range. I then ran a loop in the VBA code until the value is valid (ie. exists in the range). However, to streamline this I was hoping to allow the user to see a list of the valid (available) dates when they respond to my Inputbox request for the criteria.

I have a spreadsheet which contains (see illustration below):

1. a column called LEAD ID which contains a unique id
2. a column called WON which signifies if the deal was won/not won (1 = WON, blank = Not Won)

I can have multiples of the same value in the Won and Unique Id field (see illustration below)

I would like to create a formula field which returns the summary of the No. of Deals WON

I need to tie the formula back to the Lead ID and whether or not the WON field contains 1 or not.

I've tried this formula but it won't work
(Lead ID is in Column A, WON is in column B)

I have a question on how I could populate data using a combo box selection in Excel 2010.

For example, I have a table with values in Sheet 1, & below that table there is a combo box whereby another table of values can be populated based on the selection of the combo box.

Create Helper Column That Marks Distinct Values

I have a table with 200.000 rows.

I need to create a helper column, that marks distinct values with 1 and not distinct "" or 0.

I tried the following but both use countif and I believe it is the problem it's just to slow.

=IF(COUNTIF($A$2:A2;A2);1;0)
=1/COUNTIF($A$2:A2;A2)

but both are really slow +20 mins to calculate and many times Excel crashes( 2007 32bit).

The workbook is really simple

Col1 (number formatted as text) - Col2 =distinct

I am creating (or aim to create) an Excel based database. (Excel 2003)

On sheet 1 ... I have a userform ... most things are working okay so far.
On sheet 2 ... I have a number of NAMED lists to use in combo boxes etc

One named list is two columns wide .. it is called "ParaNo" its range on sheet2 (not including Name header - which is in a merged cell acrosss both columns) .... is B3:C35

Column B3:B35 contains the numbers 1-33 sequentially
Column C3:C35 contains a text phrase that relates to the number opposite in column B

On the user form I have a combobox ("CbAdjParaNo") that has "ParaNo" as its row source, what I want to do is populate a text box (TxAdjParaDef") when a number is selected in the combobox

I'm working with a set of text values. The sets of text can be either 2 or 3 chars long (in this example 2), and are separated with a pipe. The end char for each set of chars in fixed. In this case a Z.

I'm looking for a formula which counts the unique / distict number of sets of chars. I have been trying to use COUNTIF with a wildcard (?Z), but unfortunately I haven't been able to find the correct formula yet.

For example.

I need to populate a combo box on a form with the column name (A,B,C...etc) and the first row data. I need the code to check all columns in-case of missing column data.

Its important to note the data will be dynamic. In my add in, a form opens on requests and asks the user which column he needs to action data on. this could be on any one of several non similar spreadsheets.

E.G.: Combox to hold the following data (see column D has no data or header row):

Column A - Date
Column B - Rep
Column C - Customer
Column D -
Column E - Product

How can i pass this info to the form ?

I have an excel sheet that has multiple rows for one PO number. I've created a row at the top to calculate all of the unique PO numbers in the sheet. However, I want to create another column that will give each unique PO number it's own ID number starting at 1. For instance:

Auto Populate Into A Column That Starts In Cell E5?

I am trying to auto populate into a column that starts in cell E5 and references cell C5 (along with a dataset in N and O). In cell E6, I copied and pasted this formula and changed all of the C5 values to C6. When trying to use the auto populate cross hair tool, excel changes all N and O cells, from O165 to O166, O167 when they should have remained O165 and N165 for every cell.

Auto Populate Data Values Based On Dependence Of Two Drop-down Lists?

I am trying to create an easy fill spreadsheet for a game. I am looking to have data values auto fill based off of the entry of 2 prior drop down menus.

I would like to have values for "Move", "Str", "Spd", "Skill", "Armor", and "Value" auto populate after the "Race" and "Role" has been selected. Data for these auto fills I have put on Sheet2 while the main file itself is on Sheet1.

If possible I would like to have Value increase by 5 for every level in "Rank" on the sheet.
