Is it possible to have a caption on a label with mixed font size. I tried this but the 2nd call just overwrote the first.

I have text of size 14 and 18 mixed in cells in a column. Cells are font size 18 or mixed with both 14 and 18 size text. I need to sort out the text with one column of size 14 and another of 18 only. I am thinking of copying and pasting the column twice and run a macro in first column to remove the text of size 14, and another macro to delete text of size 18 in second column. I need the leftover text to be in same rows.
I tried everywhere and couldn't find a macro for mixed text cells. I am using Microsoft Excel 2010.

While everything works fine, the label caption does not seem to appear in my userform until i click on the label. Is there anyway that it can appear automatically once the userform opens?

I'm looking to set up a spreadsheet whereby individuals answer questions and have to format their answer using a particular font, colour, font size and so on. The idea is that I can then compare their answer sheet to a pre completed one using an =IF function and get a total score. The only problem is =if and =exact only lookup cell text/numbers and don't look at how the text is formatted within them.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI present a form (a calendar) twice in my routine to the user but I want to change the Caption of the Label on each pass?
e.g.
The first time it's displayed: 'Please select a start date' (calendar closes & goes off and does stuff)
... and on the 2nd display: 'Please select an end date'.
Is it possible to load an image into a label and have the caption for the label be visible too? I've only been successful having one or the other display but not both.

I found a work-around using the following macro attached to an ActiveX Label that was formatted as Wingdings font. The macro basically changes the character from a empty box Wingdings Chr(168) to a checked box Wingdings Chr(254) when the user clicks on the label.

its possible to convert a blank string on a label into an integer? My form loads and populates a label.caption with the value of the activecell.value. Sometimes the activecell.value is empty and sometimes has a number in it. I need to do a calculation (label.caption * 2) but if the label.caption is empty it throws an error. I need it to treat an empty label as zero.

This code works fine. NOW, what I need to do, is set individual labels, based on the values in the listbox, BUT, here is the kicker - I don't want to select any of the listbox values. I know there will be seven rows in the listbox that correspond with seven labels.
What I nede to do, is set the first label.caption as the first row in the listbox. The second label as the second row, etc. The listbox only has one column, and I have tried the following code, but it doesnt work.

On excell spreadsheet I can assign a cell value to an object/shape, as the cell value changes so does the display on the object automatically.
I want the same results on a userform.

As an aid, I have a label at the bottom of the form and when a person tabs onto a textbox that labels then states what you are supposed to input into that textbox along with an example. When you tab onto another textbox the caption on the label changes to give another explanation and example.
I attempted to insert an if statement into the userform which states that if a textbox is enabled then the caption of the label = "Example"

I often download CSV data to insert into spreadsheets. It opens in a new spreadsheet, and it's properly displayed in 12 point size. When i copy and paste it into the ultimate target spreadsheet (which is also set to 12 point size) the pasted data shows up as 10-point and I have to change the font size back to 12-point every time.
Why is this happening and how can I avoid that re-sizing that occurs?
This probably sounds really weird, but does anyone know whether the size of the text in Cell A1 on Sheet 1 can be linked to the size of the text in Cell B2 on Sheet 2? Like, when I change the size of Cell A1's text, is there a way to have the size of Cell B2's text change as well?

I have added drop down lists using the Validation>Data feature and can get this to create the drop-down box, but the font is unreadable. If I create a new sheet and create the drop-down list it becomes readable. I can't figure out why the first is unreadable due to its small size. I eventually plan to add formulas to calculate how many yes's or no's in a column, but will address that later. I use Excel 2003.
