I am working with a file where I have to clear all the rows where the numbers match. Lets say if there is a row in which /in the amount column/ there is a number: 53 and have another row where /in the amount column/ the number is -53 I can match these two rows and put them to a new sheet. So what I would like to have is something which sorts out all the rows in which the amounts can be matched out. Like 53 and -53, 23587 and -23587, 98 and -98. Is it possible to have something like this? Sorry for the language..
column "b" in the attached file has numbers that match some numbers in column "c" I need to delete all the rows that done match the numbers in column "c" that are used in column "b"
for example no " 53" is in column "c" but not column "b" so they need deleting
My tab ("dados"), has 21 columns, i need clear only column "L"

I have a macro which is copying data from several worksheets into one consolidation worksheet. When determining where to paste the data into the consolidation sheet, the macro includes some logic to find the last row that has data in it (using e.Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Row, where "e" is a variable holding the name of the consolidation worksheet).
Once all the data is on the consolidation worksheet, I have a second worksheet with formulas that link to the consolidation sheet. The issue I have is that the first step of my consolidation macro deletes all data on the consolidation sheet to ensure that no data is double-counted). I am deleting the data with logic that simply deletes all rows from 3 to 65536. Once these rows are deleted, Excel returns a #REF! error on my second worksheet which is linking back to this data.
Rather than deleting the rows on the consolidation sheet, I have tried using the Clear and/or ClearContents commands instead. This works (i.e., my formulas no longer error out), but results in the consolidation macro running very slowly (~15 minutes, compared to
I found code on this site after searching a long time that has worked well in a larger macro I'm writing for use in Excel 2003 usage. However, I'm stumped on how to achieve the following on the attached sample: find and remove the number in A2 from the list in E2 then count the individual numbers seperated by commas in E2 and post the results in G2 Repeat the same sequence for C2, D2 and F2
I need the " solutions cells " to match to the " source cells " and return a " yes " or " no ". in cells d4:d10. Ex: #1 cell C4=01234598, it will conduct a search & match of cell A5 which contains the number 123, since cell C4 contains all 3 numbers from cell A5, then the formula would result in a " Yes ". The match has to contain all 3 numbers from the solution cells to the source cells.
Ex: #2 cell C7=67891234, it will conduct a search & match of cell A8 =901. Since cell C7 only contains the 9&1 from cell A8, it would return a " No " because cell C7 did not contain all 3 numbers from cell A8. I'm not sure if the IF, Match, Index or Count formula is the right one to use, they all seem to partially work, but still don't complete this problem.
I am very new withe macro I recieve every day a CSV file from our supplier withe a list of the products that got updated withe new price, stock count, product ID etc.
I have my own worksheet with the product ID that we use, and I want to finde the exact match to my product ID in that CSV file and delete all other that don't match.
But i need them get deletede by rows thos product ID that dosen't match to my workbook.
I tried with this, so it could set an X in front of my match then i could filter and copy it to my workbook but it dosen't work: Because the same product ID is sometime in 100 rows and the X come only in front of one of them.
=IF(ISNA(MATCH(Q2:Q1000;G$2:G$1000;0));"";"X")
so with some macro. I need to have every row deleted that don't match to my list of product ID.
I have 2 worksheets named sheet1 and need_to_delete that are in the same format: 7 digit number, 5 digit alpha numeric, text, dollar amount. I need to copy every row into sheet2 where there are no matches in the column A of the two source worksheets, and copy every row that does have a match in column A into sheet 3. I also need to keep the rows in their current order.
I've got a workbook (attached) with a "summary" sheet & 2 detail sheets for tracking vacation time used, and I need to make it automatically clear out an employee's "used" vacation hours automatically on their anniversary date.
Can anybody help me please? I've had no luck thus far & "the powers that be" are really getting on me for this now -
I have a macro that copies data into another sheet (OR) from sheet1 (EDS) but as I don't want the data added from the last row I want it to overwrite and clear any data that was there before. However I still want to keep my headings which occupy rows 1 and 2.
This is pretty inefficent but it works. I don't want to make a new macro I like keeping it inserted in my current one. However I couldn't figure out how to get it to delete the rows past row 2 (it could go to infinity but I don't think there will ever be more than 30 rows of data).
I am working on some code that I would like the user to be able to re-run should the underlying data in the adjacent tabs change. My existing code is shown below
Code: Option Explicit Dim wb As Workbook Dim ws As Worksheet
[Code]....
I'd like to be able to remove all data on the ALL tab so that when the UsedRange.Rows.Count is run again on that page it will only see the header row. In the past I've deleted or cleared data from the sheet and the Rows.Count still counts the rows which have no content in them.
In my code I am searching a spreadsheet for certain states and deleting rows that have states I want to exclude. Is there a way to do this with a list of states, instead of having to make many for loops?
For i = lastrow To 2 Step -1 Cells(i, 4).Select If Cells(i, 4).Value = "PA" Then Rows(i).Select Selection.ClearContents End If On Error Resume Next Next For i = lastrow To 2 Step -1 Cells(i, 4).Select If Cells(i, 4).Value = "TX" Then Rows(i).Select Selection.ClearContents End If On Error Resume Next Next
Macro to clear cells with numbers but no cells with formulas with in this macro:
Dim i As Long i = Range("E3") If i > 0 Then ' Copy range Range(Cells(6, 10 + i), Cells(500, 17)).Copy Range(Cells(6, 10), Cells(500, 17)).Select ' Paste special ActiveSheet.PasteSpecial Format:=2, Link:=1, _ DisplayAsIcon:=False, IconFileName:=False ' Clear i columns on the right Range(Cells(6, 18 - i), Cells(500, 17)).ClearContents End If End Sub
The range is where the cells with numbers need to be cleared but not the ones with formulas.
I have to pull all correct numbers from second sheet into first sheet at right column. I've tried to write a formula to solve the problem, the answer is not correct. The main purpose of the formula is compare the value from TASK sheet into first column in DB sheet and if find matches to continue matching with next cells on the row. The advanced level is to write all correct matches into 1 cell, delimited by comma.
I have 4 columns A,B,C, and D im trying to make an inventory list of items that I have on my website... A has a list of lets say 20 numbers well just say 1-20 B is the quantity my website shows available C is the list of items my supplier has which is what I want to have lets say 1-30 D is the quantity available of C
Basically I run a website and sell **'s so column A, and C are UPC # and I have 1000's of them...what I want is a formula to make the UPC numbers (C) to match what is in (A) so I know what I need to add...but also I want to keep D in the same row with C so I can add and decrease B
I have this kind of data going down about 2000 rows. I want to find how many times 1 and 5 appear in each row until there is no more data to read. I found the formula below but I cant use it for 2000 lines plus any extra that will appear in the future...
I am attaching an example of what I am trying to do.
sheet 1 is how the jobs are assigned - Each job is assigned based on the part type and the last 2 digits of the order number. For example, Jon works any order that needs wheels and the last 2 digits of the order number are between 00 and 49.
sheet 2 is current jobs - this sheet shows the current job by order number and part, the employee column (C) is empty and is where I would like the formula and result
sheet 3 is the result I am looking for - formula results are in yellow.
So what I am trying to do is make it so that as employees come and go and assignment of jobs change on sheet 1, sheet 2 will automatically update the employee name to match.
I have one list of waybill numbers which are 12 digits long and I have another file of waybill numbers which are 15-16 digits long. I have tried a VLookup but I do not get matches on these since the digits are not the same length. Is there any other formula I can use to match a 12 digit waybill against a 15-16 digit waybill number? I am assuming that if 12 digits match in both lists that it is an exact match.
