I want to copy a range (I3:I7) from a workbook and tab called "day" into another workbook with a tab called "date". Use the date value in A3 of "day" tab, find the same date in "date" and copy and paste range below.

I take totals from a number of catagories from the prior day's sheet (ending totals) and enter them on the current sheet (beginning totals), then enter the current day's totals to wind up with new ending totals.

I am trying to build a summary report that pulls from two different worksheets within the same workbook. Here's the context of my problem:
Worksheet 2: Column A has a list of dates. The corresponding information for each date is within the row. Sometimes, there are repeated dates with different corresponding information.
Worksheet 3:This is my summary sheet. This report needs to update daily and only pull data related to "today's" date. My question is if i have three rows with the same date but different data, how do i tell my summary sheet to display all three rows for that date. So far, I can only get it to pull the data from the last row with that date.
I want this filecopy to:
1. create a new folder in a subfolder called "/certificates".
2. name that folder the current date. ie. "/certificates/23.11.11".
3. copy the file into that folder.
4. If it's a duplicate then rename the file " - 2" or what ever the next number is.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the sheet I am working on I have some numbers that represent todays activity. These numbers are volatile and reset when the date advances. I have a column on another tab that has all the days of the month as F4:F33
The results I want will go in the G4:G33 column.
C2 is Today() to avoid too many Today()s.
Active!J10 is the value I need in the G column.
Basically what I need is the value from Active!J10 to be copied to whichever cell corresponds to the date next to it in the G4:G33 and then stay there when the date advances
The formula I am using for the g range is :
=IF(F24=C2,Active!J10)
=IF(F25=C2,Active!J10)
=IF(F26=C2,Active!J10)
And so on down the column.
I dont mind the FALSES for future dates, but the current one changes to false upon the advancement of the date. Basically, I need a running log of the final numbers going down the G range and for those values to stay there when the date advances.

I have some data in sheet1 with 10 columns and 5000 rows.
I want to filter the data with 2 criterios.
When I go to 4th column and Click custom filter, I will give one criteria and select "or" and give another criteria. SO I will get the result in sheet1, I need to copy the data and paste the same in sheet 2 with the header.
The problem is, I need to filter more than 20 times giving the criteria and copy the result and paste in sheet 2 one after the other.
So i need a macro to solve this time consuming work.
I just paste the two criteria either in a text box or some cells and run the macro. the macro has to filter the data in sheet1 based on my input.( that is criteria1 or criteria 2) and the result should be pasted in sheet2 with the headers.
Again I delete the values in my input cell, and paste the new values, and run the macro, that result should be pasted after the first result, with the header. (would be great if that is pasted leaving one row above, that is if the first result is pasted in sheet 2 till 10th Row, then the send result should be pasted in 12th row and so on..

I have looked through the forum and found pits and peices but can not put the puzzle together. Found the VBA code in my example from a earlier post but there was no final answer to the post.
Trying to have the user put in a date range via command button. Fro mthis date range the data thats falls within that range is copied to a report sheet. Will also need to have all the old data from a earlier querry removed. Have attached example sheet.

With the press of a button, I need to be able to select a range of dates and copy all lines within the range to a seperate sheet with the desired name under the same headings they currently reside under. I have included some modified code that is being used in another spreadsheet that was created for me, but I do not pretent to understand all of it and I no longer work with the creator of the spreadsheet. How do I use a button to open the form for date selections and entering the name of the new sheet, and then use the start button on the form to begin the matching and copying to a new sheet? If there is an easier way I am all for that too.
Also, I need to keep a total of all items by month as well as a monthly and annual average of the Total Item Value on the FY09 tab. This will eventually produce another sheet when a button is pressed to submit as a report. I think part of this answer is in using the MONTH(serial_number) function but I can only get this to work for a single cell. I need to search the entire Distribution 'D' column, match all the months to the FY09 tab to the respective month, and calculate the totals and averages. I think SUMIF may also be needed as well but need the MONTH(serial_number)to work first. If there is a way to code all of this in VBA that would be fine as well.
I have a pivot table on Sheet1 where I am trying to get the totals and averages described above but I am not sure it can do what I need. In column 'B' I need the total number of each item as well as the total number of all items. I tried various formats and adding the totals from the Totals tab but I have not figured it out.
What i want to do is copy all records from whatever date i enter, onto sheet test. The full excel file has over 80 worksheets for each individual rep, the example i attached has 8 sheets..

I need the macro to recognize the date when pressed and copy the corresponding rows of data and paste them into an identical sheet with the same date. The second sheet is an archive sheet. The date will tick over as per the calendar.
I'm trying to workout how to take a known initial date a repeating frequency and work out the next due date from today.
Example
Initial Date :- 1st of January 2014
Frequency :- every 5 weeks
Current Date :- 9th of March 2014
Next Due date should be :-12th of March 2014 (if I worked it out correctly from my paper calendar)

I tried to copy a date from Temperature & Humidity Reading file using the formula ='[Temperature & Humidity Reading.xlsx]Sensor 7'!$C$2 to Summary file
if the date format is like this 6/10/2013 12:00:00 AM the result is fine, but when i try to copy that formula for the succeeding dates the results is same from what i copied.
Did anyone use the above tool ? Can we use a macro to launch that tool to search for words in a excel cell ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've created a group of user forms used for recording jobs and displaying details of jobs and have come up against a problem I think you may be able to help me with.
When the user creates a new record, I've written some code to stamp txtdate text box with the current system date and this information is then copied onto a sheet called Data into a specific column.
This part works fine and as the column is formatted to handle dates it displays fine.
However, when I pull the data back in, it displays the date as the serial number date, not formatted as dd/mm/yy. I've tried every fix I can find to sort this but none of them seem to work.
The code I use to pull the data in is as follows:
ComboBox1.BoundColumn = 11
txtdate.Value = ComboBox1.Value
The idea is that the user selects a job number from combobox1 and then the appropriate column is pulled into each txt box on the form.
At the same time, I'm trying to do the same for the system time as well. Unsurprisingly I have a very similar problem here and use the same code as above. I've tried formatting both date and time txt boxes in the userform, the data transfer code etc etc with no success.
In column A, I have dates; In column b i have security levels. I have made a table called "Security" it contains to columns, a list of security levels and no of years when each security level is required to be reviewed. the table is setup -

What I am looking for is a formula to look up a1 "restricted". then lookup the security table and find "restricted" its value is 5 (years) then add the 5 years to date in b1, but place it in c1.
I am trying to create a calculator which will show start date and end date based on the specific date provided.
EX: column A has January 1, 2013, column B has Wednesday, Column C should have a start date which supposed to be 4 days ago (December 28).
I have a list of ID# (Col A) and dates (Col B). The ID # of reference is Col (F) and today's date (Col G). I need to count how many future dates there are in the list (Col B) that are unique and in the future from today's date.
I'm still fairly new to all these formulas and functions which is why I'm not attempting this in VBA.

based on user date ranges entered on sheet1, I'm trying to write code that will write each month of the date range on other sheets across the 2nd row. at this point I'm getting "object required" error at "Set DateStart = Cells(2, 6)"
I also want the date format to be mmm-yy (Mar 14) on the sheets even if sheet1 has a different format. I tried using sourcerange instead of DateStart, but that didnt work either.
