I have looked through the forum and found pits and peices but can not put the puzzle together. Found the VBA code in my example from a earlier post but there was no final answer to the post.
Trying to have the user put in a date range via command button. Fro mthis date range the data thats falls within that range is copied to a report sheet. Will also need to have all the old data from a earlier querry removed. Have attached example sheet.
I have the following code that performs a row copy based on selected dates which is then pasted to another sheet as a report. I need to also perform the same copy from another sheet with the same structure so the All_Report contains the data from both sheets. The name of the other sheet to copy the information from is "Closed_Requests".
I've seen a few threads on here about this issue but none of them do quite what I am looking for. I'd like for a single page "report" to be created when a user presses a button (which runs a macro, of course) The macro should be able to run through certain named sheets (even if hidden) and if a cell in any row is red within a sheet then the entire row or rows that meet the criteria should be copied and pasted into the Report sheet.
On the report sheet, for each sheet that has had rows that were copied, I'd like to have the name of the sheet as the header above the pasted rows so that the user knows which sheet the data came from. Any sheet that doesn't have red cells would be excluded from the report. I've attached a sample file but had to limit the number of sheets because of Orgrid's file size limit. Hopefully, you'll see what I am getting at here.
I developed some pivot table reports and macro'd out pdf'ing them for the users but now management want the users to be able to manipulate the data themselves !! The file is 31 sheets and I'm figuring they'll only want to see the sheets that are relevant to them so is there a way to macro it out?? Perhaps when the file opens it asks, "Who do you want to see?" Jack? Joe? or Rudy?, Month or YTD, or Both? or Everything? and it will hide the sheets that are not selected. The words "month" and "YTD" is in Cell "N1" and the individuals names are in Cell "M1".
I own 3 restaurants and I use Excel to track my sales statics. I have to enter certain pieces of data on a daily basis and it can become slightly cumbersome when dealing with the sort of washed out look of Excel spreadsheets. I wanted to write a Windows application that would handle the process for me but my knowledge of programming languages is too limited and I don't really have the time to learn. What I'd like is to have a single page on my workbooks with which I can enter the data in on a field type view, and have it go to the appropriate cell on the "Raw" data sheets in the same workbook. For example:
Let's assume this is the Raw data sheet. I currently enter the data that I need here, and Excel does the rest for me. This gets hard to look at everyday when dealing with hundreds of numbers.
Net Sales Taxes Prior Year Sales Percent Increase/Decrease
Entering the data here would automatically fill in the data on the Raw sheet, and would know which cells to put the data into based on the date, which would of course be gotten from the =Today() formula.
I would like to setup a macro that brings up a dialog box asking for a date in a specific column. Once that date is entered in the dialog box, the macro would then find all rows before that date (in that specfic column) and delete them.
How do you create a macro to copy the information from my weekly reports to a monthly report and be able to update automatically. If you had 4 worksheets (for each week of the month) and 1 mastersheet for the whole month in a workbook. All titles are the same and If you needed to copy all the data that is in the columns, say, A through I, starting with row 4 to however many rows are in a given week. The reports can be made up of numicerial values, text and dates. Let me know if more information is needed or an example worksheet.
I have a workbook that updates from external source and creates sheets depending on a cell range.
I have put tab 1 and tab 0 on either end of where the new sheets will be inputted, will never know how many sheets
What i need to happen is if someone fills in "complete" in A7 in my "summary" sheet then the values in row 6 in all the other sheets get hardcoded. This needs to happen from A7 down to A26, so A8 = complete then copy row 7 etc This is what i have so far
I get compile error here ........Sheets(ArrSh(1)).Activate
Also need it to work for all the other rows.
Sub hardcode() ' 'Sheets("Summary"). Select If Range("a7") = "complete" Then ' Sheets(Array("1", "0")).Select Sheets(ArrSh(1)).Activate
I have a project that is quickly growing out of control.
I workbook made up of 14 worksheets. Oct - Sep, Summary and main.
I have been entering all my data in main, which is A - AB. Various types of data, dates, dollars, names, etc. I have been trying to sort the 'main' worksheet into the separate months based on a date in column B.
For example if the date in column B is 1 Aug, I would like the entire row copied to Aug 07 worksheet. Then in Aug 07 worksheet is the formulas to calculate the data needed for Summary page.
Pretty simple, except I cannot get it to do that. I have tried to pivot, auto sort, and a few various VBAs to no avail. One of my Googles turned up this site and many pointers have been found and are close, but most are focused on combining. The workbook is a tad over 1mb so I did not post it yet, but can if needed.
I need to copy and paste the specific dates from the specific city that the user will insert in the "dash" sheet. Basically, I need the macro to read the city and range of dates that the user will type into the "dash" sheet and copy the columns "AA" to "AD" from rows specified by the dates input. Once it has been copied, it has to be special pasted just the value onto the sheet "1" beginning at location B2.
the the data will not be available as it is vlookups to another excel sheet that i have not provided. I have deleted the data, but you can pretty much put 1's everywhere.
I came across a code on your website that looks across numerous sheets and stops at the first match. I have a similar need but only i do not want the code to stop when it has found the first match. I want the code to lookup from 1 column in 1 sheet to another workbook with 20 odd sheets, then want it to return a findings report or show all matches.
I am trying to find a way to copy the contents of an entire row to a new sheet in a workbook based on the value of a column, specifically column K with the value of "good". There are 3 sheets that im searching. This is where I run into problems. Im looking to start with sheet1, and copy all rows deemed "good" into entries on sheet 4. Then search sheet2 and copy all relevant entries into the next available row on sheet4, and then repeat on sheet3.
Currently I have it setup to copy rows to a sheet "Report" based on a single cell value. But now I need the same thing but have it copy the rows based on 2 cells values to sheet "Report". So for example I wanted to copy and paste each row in my workbook that contain values in Columns N:N that contain the value "Test" and in columns AB:AB that contain "1".
Sub copyagain() Application.ScreenUpdating = False Dim sh As Worksheet, findThis As String, fAdr As String, fLoc As Range findThis = "1"
I am trying to create a report that I can enter the codes I am looking for and the formula will search the sheets within the report and once the results are found then find the average of those results.
What I am trying to do is search the codes from Sheet 1 under Outlet and ESA(in Blue) in sheet A,B and C. The problem is the ESA code seen in column I of A,B,C is only used when column L is empty in A,B,C.
Once the relevant codes are found I then need to look for the KPI's seen in sheet 1 B4, B6 and B8, they can be found in A,B,C in column R. then the result comes from column S in A,B or C.
Once the result is found for each code I want to find the average of them, with the answer to populate in yellow in sheet 1
I want the formula to be able to handle more or less codes as well as adjust the formula so I can add more sheets(possible D,E,F,G etc)
I have been given a spreadsheet to "fix". We have 15 classes set up on it and we enter the dates of classes which then copy over into the rest of the classes using the "=+ cell" that contains the date we enter. There are 23 cells for date (maximum number of days we have class). If you enter class dates using 15 cells, the remaining cells on the second and subsequent classes get a 1/0/00 value which I then have to delete.
I am using the following code to copy data from multiple tabs to a summary tab - it is only supposed to copy the data in the rows if the cells in Column A have data in them, its working, but for some reason it is copying the data in columns Y and Z for four extra rows even though there is no data in column A for those rows.
I have written two VBA programs around the same time. Both run on open and pull external data and create graphs. My problem is that I want the end user to be able to run the report multiple times by choosing the name of the macro from the Excel macro menu (i.e. Tools>Macro>Macros) but only one of the workbook macros shows up on the menu. why the other macro is not visible on this menu???
I have a workbook that contains multiple sheets, currently five sheets of which only two of them are Info Datasheets.
I would like to create a VBA code that pulls data from multiple info datasheets and compiles that data into one Main Database sheet. However, after that initial collection, I need the code to maintain the rows data. Specifically, if any row's data changes in the info Datasheets I need that row on the main Database sheet to update.
The columns in the info datasheets range from A:AH, however I only need the columns A:E to be copied. And I would like the code to add column F in the main datasheet displaying the sheet name were the data was retrieved
Each Info sheet (Metals, Polymers) are setup identical; Rows 1:3 are the headers, and Column D and/or Column E will denote a change to the row.
The Main Database sheet (Table of Context) has 2 rows for the header. So, the data will start on row 3
trying to copy data from multiple sheets to one single sheet. I am pretty sure this is possible. The problem I am running into is that the number of sheets at any given time is dynamic. The numbering of the sheets is from 000 to 999 (they must be a three-digit code). The other issue I am having is I only want to copy the rows in each sheet that have an "x" in column "A". Also, the row in which the first "x" occurs can differ from sheet to sheet. I have attached a copy of the spreadsheet that indicates how the spreadsheet is layed out.
I have multiple .xls sheets in a folder. C:Documents and Settingsu369875DesktopProject stuffTestin Save_ASCompleted History. And need to copy the data in all of them and paste them into a new sheet (one main sheet) in this folder...........
I recieve a daily spreadsheet with ~25,000 rows of data and is 4 columns wide. Each day I need to break the data equally up into 19 or 20 different sheets within the same workbook. This is very time consuming as I need to copy the first ~1,000 rows and paste it into the first sheet, then I need to take the next ~1,000 rows and paste it into the second sheet, and so on.
I have attached a small example with desired output. In my example, the raw data file contains 19 records. For these 19 records, I need to distribute the records evenly between 5 individual sheets. In this case, each sheet will contain 4 records or less.
writing a macro that could save me loads of time. In the attached file there are 2 separate sheets of data ( named "Elements Innovation" and "Dinttap") that I need copied, pasted, transposed and consolidated into one master sheet (named "Desired result"). Note that the fields that relevant cells are highlighted in yellow. In reality I'll have many (~100) of these sheets that I need the data extracted from, and the work looks like it can be automated using VBA to speed things up.
I am trying to create a macro that will copy data from one sheet to four other sheets depending on some requirments in the data. I have a main worksheet that will store the data, the name on this sheet will change daily, so you cannot use a "named" sheet in your macro. The other three names of the sheets are "Esky", "Indy", "Gfld", and "Other". When copying the data, I need to copy the entire row of data to the required sheet. The data comes in such as:
Based on the FIRST TWO characters in the first column, I need to copy the data to the specific sheet. I would assume a simple LEFT() function would work for this. Here are the requirments for each sheet:
Esky - "MZ" or "51" Indy - "IZ" or "Z" or "21" Gfld - "PZ" or "22" Other - Anything else
