Dropdown List That Auto Populates 2 Fields?

I am currently building a sheet that requires a drop down box that will auto-populate two separate fields. I have tried to the point of being suicidal to make this work but to no avail.

A detailed explanation:

The worksheet containing the drop down list and fields that need to auto-populate.

The raw data, located on a separate tab in the same workbook. (Note: there are over 1500 rows of data)

The drop down box will be in the "Description" column and will contain a list of services my company provides. Once selected it will auto-populate the "Rate" column and the "Item ID" column. The raw data that the list is pulling from is located on a separate tab.

I can make the list just fine, it's easy enough to just go to the Data Validation feature and point to where you want the list and where you want the data to come from, but getting the list to pull the data from different columns and go into the columns on the work sheet is apparently beyond my knowledge of excel. I figured it would just be a simple formula setup through the VLOOKUP formula wizard but I've tried it at least 20 different ways, all of which fail. I've tried HLOOKUP too but it also failed.

Auto Populate Fields Based On Model Number In Dropdown?

I have the catalog #s of some products in column A, and I have the brand in column B, Product name in Column C, and the model # in Column D. I want to create a formula that if I select the catalog # it should autopopulate the brand in column B, product name in column C and the model # in column D!!

And I have the brand/product & model # in a different sheet!!

I've had a search on here, but can't quite find what i'm looking for. I have a cover sheet with a drop down list which has customers in it. under it I have the customers address, phone etc. What I am trying to do is when I click on a particular customer, I want the address and phone numbers to all fill in automatically. I have tried a few things, but to no avail.

Selection Of Dropdown Populates Remaining Columns

I have an excel spreadsheet that has several fields which should be connected. If one of the fields is selected via a drop down, then several other columns should autopopulate with the data in the list set up on another page. What Im trying to figure out is:

1) How do I make it so it does this with every row on the spreadsheet? I've seen code in the formula bar so that it works for one row, but I need it to work regardless of how many rows are added to the sheet...

and

2) Is there VBA code so that if someone selects A value from a drop down list in, say, column F, that data corresponding to that selection is placed in other columns in the sheet?

Create Auto Populated List Field Based Off Multiple Fields

I have two or more fields of data, where parts of them are auto populated based on inputs from elsewhere. That part i have working fine, however the problem arises in taking that information and displaying it as a Bill of Materials list on another tab in my excel file. I want to take the information, and only display it in the BOM tab if that piece of information is being used (ie item count field not being 0). I know how to do that part in a rather simple format, however i'd prefer to make it so that when i have the list, and a certain item isn't used then its not included in the BOM, and an empty space is not left behind. I would prefer this to be all be done automatically by a formula if possible instead of just having to resort to sorting the table every time the tool is being used.

Is this even possible in excel, A quick example doc is attached, shows 2 example fields. i'd like to take the information from those 2 fields. and somehow create a single list, with a single heading along the top, with all row containing a 0 "Unit Count" to be omitted entirely from the list, and not have a blank space where the item should be. Keep in mind these fields may be greater than 2, and may not be position one after the other in a strait down line.

I would like to auto-fill cells based on what I select from a drop down list.

For Example:

Drop Down List is located in A1(already created). Let's say it lists items like bathroom,front of building, dinning room etc.

I have created on sheet 2 a list of responsibilities for each item on the drop list. The list has a header for example bathroom and a below it list the responsibilities. I did this for every item on the drop list.

Now, is it possible to select bathroom from the drop down land when selected the list I created in sheet 2 show up in the cell next to bathroom? Also, is it possible to have this happen every time i select a different item from the drop down list?

Auto Populate Cells From Dropdown List

I am looking to auto generate a roster/schedule. I have a spreadsheet with shifts for each weekday that I need to populate every week with names to pick from a drop down list. the drop down list is made using data validation and looks at a dynamic named range to allow me to select only the people who are available to work a certain shift.

Is there a way to do this using vba?

My Excel 2007 has "auto complete with a drop down list". When I type in the first character, a drop down list appears listing all the entries in that column tha start with that character. I click on one of the entries and the cell is "auto completed" with that entry. Sure is handy. I try to find that functionally in Excell at work, Office Professional 2010, and no bueno for kaki.

I have two worksheet. One worksheet is a form where in the Field Door No. should be a dropdown list. The list will be retrieve from worksheet Source. Now upon selecting a specific Door No. it should also autopopulate the respective Type, Brand, Serial No., and Type.

First thing i need to know is what should i do on Cell B1 worksheet Form for it to be a drop down list retrieving the Column A on worksheet Source.

Auto-Populate Column Data From Source Sheet After Selecting From Dropdown List

I'm trying to make a spreadsheet that can be used to easily build a collective list of steps, for a user to read and follow line-by-line.

I want a source sheet of "steps" that I can change over time, and the resulting tabs that reference the source sheet get updated/populated automatically.

I've pieced together some VBA code from other sources, which kind of does what I want it to:

But there are some problems:

1) The data auto-populates into a row. It would read better if each step was in the same column, meaning rows would need to be automatically added upon selecting something from the drop-down list. The number of rows that need to be added vary based on the number of steps in the source sheet, for the selection made from the drop-down list.

2) If you make a change to the source sheet, my goal is to have the other sheets referencing the source sheet's lists of steps update automatically, so you only need to update the steps in one spot and everything you've built from them gets updated instantly. Currently, you must select a different choice from the drop-down list, and then change it back, before it populates the "new" steps from the source sheet.

This is my first time using VBA.

How To Create A Calendar Which Populates By List Of Dates

I have been asked to create a calendar which will display, on the applicable date of expiry, a contract name. Basically so someone can go and see what contracts are due to expire. And then if a new contract comes up it will automatically be added.

I have a list of Contract names in one column followed by the expiry date.

I've been trying to solve with a 2 column drop down. What I am hoping to do is use two columns to aid the user in selecting the correct entry. So the first column will be a number and the second column would contain what the number means

If:
Col1 | Col2
001 | Horse
002 | Cow
003 | Dog

Both columns show when the list is selected, but when the user selects 003 | Dog, the cell would be populated with only the 003.

I'm making a Excel 2013 spreadsheet that has formula in a column that auto enters a number 1-40 when something is entered to the left of that cell. There are 300 rows in the spreadsheet. I would like to make a drop down list in a column cell to the right that would delete that number in that cell from the drop down list. For example cell C1 has 39, that 39 then is deleted from the drop down list. C2 has 22 in it, click on the drop down list cell and it shows 1-40 less 39 and 22.

I would like to Use two drop down list with two set of information to automatically update fields.

I have Job Titles (1-6) and Step (1-5). Each Job Title has a new pay rate and each step is an increase in pay. What I am trying to do is set up a drop down list where some one can drop down Job Title and step and have the rate automatically fill in.

I am able to get the Job title to auto fill the rate field, but am having trouble incorporating the step into the formula.

Here is what i currently have:

=VLOOKUP(H6,'Pay Rate'!$B$2:$G$12,3,FALSE)

H6 = Job tilte field on 'WorkSheet' (Sheet1)
'Pay Rate'!$B$2:$G$12 = Sheet2 and Step increases per Job Title
3 = the current column I was working with in order to make the rate appear
False = for exact info

I do not want to combine the two columns but keep them separate drop down list.

I need a simple macro to use for conditional autofill of cells below the active cell (to the end of the sheet) with the text that is being entered in the active cell.

DESCRIPTION: I have two columns of data, the first (call it Col1), has a word number which is unique to each specific word in a foreign language, every cell in this column has a number in it from 1 to 30000. Each number reoccurs many times in cells over the length of this column.

The other column (call it Col2) is blank. As I type words in english in each cell of this column, I need the macro to autofill the text that I have just entered, into every cell in Col2 where it's Col1 number is a match with the Col1 number where I am typing.

For example, in one row, Col1 has the number "21" and I type in Col2 the word "run". I need the macro to find every row where the number 21 is found in Col1 and automatically enter "run" into Col2 at that location.

The macro must only autofill cells which have no data in them. Preferably from that cell down, although if that is not possible, all cells would work seeing we are only replacing blank cells with data.

Excel 2010 :: Auto Population Of Fields Incremented By Dates In Weekly Segments

This is in Excel 2010

I have, what I believe a fairly complex request.

I have 3 fields that will be entered manually per row

Frequency in weeks = FQ Example FQ = 4 weeks
Duration in hours = DUR Example DUR = 3 hours
Start Date in Date Format = SD Example SD = 01/15/14

I have a series of columns starting at December 30, 2013. This represents the week of December 30th 2013.

It continues on until I hit the last week in December of 2015 which is 12/28/15

There are multiple rows with the 3 entries listed above (FQ, DUR & SD).

I need a function or macro that takes the Start Date (SD) for the specific row and finds it's location in the series of columns (for the example of 01/15/14, it would land on week 01/13/14). The program would enter the Duration (DUR) in that Column's Row (if that makes sense).

The program would then add the Frequency (FQ) to the Start Date (SD) and look for the next column (or Week) that it would fit in and once again enter the Duration (DUR) in that cell.

It would do this until it hits the 12/28/15 end date.

I'm creating a spreadsheet to keep track of my costs of production in an online game. Within the game there are a range of spawned resources that appear for only a short time before being unobtainable these resources have specific types that is shared between multiple spawns of the resource but each resource spawn has a unique name.

My first worksheet lists all the resources and their various qualities and the later worksheets are meant to allow me to choose from a list resources matching the requirements of the item I'm looking to craft. The example i have shown in the second picture requires Tatooinian Fiberplast and Lokian Wild Wheat to craft so in the Chosen Resource column I would like to have a drop down list allowing me to select the named resource type i would like to use - for Tatooinian Fiberplast the only thing on the list should be Omnitwixi and for the Wild Wheat it should show Fizi and Krad
