I wrote a formula to recognise when a child equalled or bettered a club record (CR) in an event. However what I neglected to do and cannot work out is for the formula to recognise the new time as the new club record that will then have to be equalled or bettered from then on to be recognised as a club record. Event OnClick - Show Smart Art Shapes Below (child)

I'm trying to make a menu in my Workbook to access all the others sheets.

To make things easier for my boss, I'm trying to make the menu with SmartArt Shapes (Hierarchic) because it's easier to add/remove itens.

The thing is: he wants it to show the boxes below (hierarchic child) when i click the "mother" box.

It will work pretty like web menus except the mouseover. Image below

Record Time & Date Of Event

I have cobbled together some code that searches a folder of my choice and lists the files within the folder every xxx seconds for yyy minutes. The files it finds are listed in 'Column A', and between each search during the defined yyy search duration 1 row is added to seperate them.

I require the additional code to record the search time in 'Column B' of the corresponding Row, and the search date in 'Column C' of the corresponding row. The Time & Date will simply be the Computers Time & Date at the occurrence of the relevant Search interval. The code is as follows:

Getting Graph To Recognise Date From Formula

whenever I select a series of dates for a line graph x axis Excel does not recognise the values as dates for the purposes of the scale tab in graph options. I suspect it may be because the dates are the result of formula in the relevant cells.

Track The Levels: Club Is 0 To 19 Points And Yields An 11% Discount

I have a 4-level program. The levels are Club, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each is awarded when a certain amount of points are gathered.

Club is 0 to 19 points and yields an 11% discount.
Bronze is 20 to 44 points and yields an 12% discount.
Silver is 45 to 59 points and yields an 11% discount.
Gold is 60 and better and yields an 11% discount.

I am looking for a way to total the points and have the spreadsheet automatically calculate the leve and percentage. So if my total points is 22, I would need the formula to return "Bronze" in one cell, then "11%" in the next.

I need to not only count the no of cheques used for a particular account but also understand to which Cheque Book they Belong to..

I have some cheque mentioned one below the other not neccessarily in series but they need to be clubbed to Series 1 and if not alike then the next Series i.e. Series 2 so on so forth..

I have atttached the file which can explain in better manner the exact requirement..

Please someone help me on this as I have burned enough midnight oil with no futile gains till now.

I seek advice on using the value of NOW() as a record ID in an address book program. Question #1: Do Excel developers often use a record ID? Question #2: What record ID schemes are fequently employed besides date/time? I have decided to create an Excel address book as an exercise to increase my knowledge of VBA, and also as a useful application for work.

I realize that a record ID is not essential in Excel in the way that it is essential in Access, but I feel the need to have some unique ID associated with each address, so that I may have different worksheets, with data related to a given Contact, sort and manipulate it, if necessary, but have the record ID as a way to restore the relationship of rows to a given Contact, and also, as a handy way to examine the data in the date/time sequence in which it was entered. I have experimented with the following code, to assure myself that I can access the number returned by the NOW() function, manipulate it as a string, and format in various ways if necessary.

I've tried text->columns then concatenating back together with dashes or periods in between (like normal date format), but Excel doesn't recognise it as dates...

I am using countif to count a range of cells D10:D34 returning a PB as a result of a formula in Col D.

The countif formula (=Countif(D10:D34,"PB") is in cell D39 and the result in D39 populates a cell in another worksheet. The formula in Col D also returns =PB results. I have placed another Countif formula in cell D41 (result to also populate a cell in another worksheet) to count all =PB's using (=Countif(D10:D34,"=PB"). The second countif doesn't work correctly. It counts all PB's and =PB's.

Basically, what I want to do is if the report is open then just copy the sheet across else if the report is not open the open the rpeort and copy the sheet across.

VBA Doesn't Recognise Selection

I have a report that has been running in it's current state for several months with no issue. However, today it has decided that it doesn't understand the word 'selection'.

eg: selection.copy gives compile error.

Now... obviously NOT USING selection is preferred. However, let's put that aside for now because there are LOTS of these in this report and it's never had an issue until today.

Is there some setting that could have gotten changed or something?

It's happening on multiple computers and we're running Excel 2003 (standard) with SP3.

Flag Record That Has Overlapping Date As Another Record?

I am creating an asset management sheet. For the formula I am trying to work out there uses 3 fields : ID, start date, and end date.

What I want to do is be able to show if the ID is duplicated within another record with an overlapping date. So an item is flagged if it is in the list within the same dates as another record. I tried a few countif formulas but with no success.. I may just be approaching the problem incorrectly though.

Trying To Get SUMIF To Recognise Text Within A Cell

I'm trying to make a spreadsheet to organise my bank statements. I have raw data from online banking and I want to sum all the transactions that have "SAINSBURYS" in, for instance. I am using SUMIF to add the totals only if "SAINSBURYS" on the totals page matches "SAINSBURYS" on the raw data page. The problem I'm having is that the raw data cell doesnt just display "SAINSBURYS" but "SAINSBURYS LONGWATER BCG 12345678" for example, and so i cant find a way for SUMIF to recognise that it contains "SAINSBURYS".

Macro To Recognise No. Of Rows After Deletion

In my attachment, I had try to create a PO system that will show a dialouge box and capture input data of the dialogue box into the worksheet.

However, I am not able to make the macro recognise any manual deletion from the worksheet (e.g. delete any row in between the full data). Hence, when I input new data, the row will start from the last register counting of rows (i.e. Range("g1") in my attachment.) and it will leave a blank row after the last row of data and so on...

I will also like to know if I need to fix the "date" input to select from a "calendar" pop-up and input the date format into (e.g. year into column a, month into column b and day into column c) 3 separate columns. Is it possible?

AND Function Not Recognise The Named Range

In the formula below the AND function cannot recognise the named range "KolomFFundering". I need the named range because when I insert a row the range must also change. Is there any way to rewrite this formula without losing it's function? The range of "KolomFFundering" is F13:F23.

I currently have numerous workbooks with linked cells to a master workbook, but the linked cells dont appear to carry over or retain the formating from the master workbook (e.g. font style, bold, underlined, font color, cell color). I make changes quite often to the master workbook and would like the changes carried over to the other workbooks. Does anyone have a script where it would automatically carry over the font formatting? I hope this is understandable.

How To Get Parent Row Into Child Rows

Basically the data spit out by machine is separated by a blank row.

Let's say I need all the data with the child row "tn" , so I would autofilter /PivotTable it for that entry, but that leaves me with a blank column A. It'd be no issue if I had the column A heading in the child rows (and the number of spaces in between is random like 2 sometimes 15+ so Vlookup/Index/Match aren't too useful). It is possible to have a function that repeats the first row until it hits a space?

Unable To Record Error, Long Formula Macro

I am working on using an excel workbook as part of a roll playing game and I am trying to record a macro and then put that in a command button which uses the randbetween, multiple if statements and multiple vlookup functions. I have successfully done similar things by just recording a macro and then pasting that into the VB editor. However this time I get a unable to record macro after putting the formula in the selected cell. I have tried copy and paste and just typing the formula with the same results.

Upon executing the formula I then want it to copy and paste special- values the result.

I'm assuming I have to put the VB code in manually but when I tried to do the formula I got a syntax error.

The worksheet I am working on is named new and I've included the formula in the a text box. I would like the result to show in J12 and be triggered by pressing the cmnbutton in k12.

Formula Columns Where My Workers Record The Amounts Of Work They Do During The Day

I have three columns where my workers record the amounts of work they do during the day. The columns are labelled as follows:

Column A – “Correspondences’’
Column B – “Linking’’
Column C – “Allocating”

When a task has been completed an “X’’ is put in the relevant column (which is then summed at the bottom). I use these sums to calculate each workers productivity in the following way – number of “x’’ divided by number of days worked. This is a simple formula, however, each “x” now equates to time – which is causing me problems. An “x’’ is Column A equals 1 hour, Column B 1 hour and Column C 2 hours.

I am looking for someone to help me create a formula which will calculate all possibilities in the above situation above. Please bear in mind that a worker can do one of these tasks during the course of a week, two or all three .

I have an application that uses data stored in an excel spreadsheet. Over time the amount of data has become greater, and the application more unwieldy and difficult to maintain. In order to simplify it, I am trying to create a userform that displays multiple levels of master-child table data (for example, clients-orders-items). The data is stored in separate worksheets. The lower levels must allow inserting and deleting lines, moving them up or down, and editing the data. Does anyone have an example of such a userform that I could adapt to my specific requirements?

I am looking to create a macro that will create a new sheet when data is added on a summary sheet. Example.

1. Summary sheet called "Variations" contains columns that will contain the information needed for new sheet (Columns A to D)

2. When data is entered on "Variations" sheet: Column B, then macro automatically creates new sheet renamed to e.g. VO1 (Number used on "Variations" tab) and is a copy of "Master" tab.

3. Data entered in Column A to D on "Variations" tab is automatically entered onto new sheet created (e.g VO1). Shown is blue on attached file. Additional data is updated on "VO1" sheet and this then links back to "Variations" tab
