Formula That Will Check Multiple Criteria Before Returning Answer?
May 14, 2014
Attached worksheet which is an sales incentive plan. I need cell B69 to represent the amount in b68 unless neither b30 or b99 are > 0. In other words if even 1 of the cells b30 or b99 come back positive, you get the amount in b68. If it comes back 0 in both cells b30 and b99, then they get 0.
I am trying to determine if I can write a formula that will read text in one cell, such as insurance and if true enter the amount from another cell and if false then 0. I have tried a IF statement by add the text to name manager. However, the answer is 0 rather than the amount in the selected cell. I might need to use a different formula or function.
I have a spreadsheet of prices (raw data), and I need to pull out both the most recent price for each item for a specific customer code for each item, as well as the second most recent price, (essentially the old price), for that customer code for each item.
I have columns for ITEM (code), PTC (Customer Code), PRICE, and EFF (Effective Date). For each item code, there are multiple prices for multiple customers, such as in the linked workbook.
I am currently using the formula, =INDEX(PRICE,MATCH(1,(F2=ITEM)*(G2=PTC),0)) to pull out the last price. This works because the last price is on top based on sorting. What I need is a formula that pulls out the next oldest price for that item/ptc combo. I tried using the SMALL function to no success.
I'm trying to get a value to return based upon three criteria, sales rep, compensation plan and calculation method.
For each sales rep (there are 20 reps), there is an option for one of five comp plans and for every comp plan, there are six calculation methods (these six methods are the same for every one of the five comp plans).
I know I need to use the Indes(Match()) set-up, but I'm having the darndest time figuring out how to set up the source matrix to do this right.
I have two workbooks at the moment, one which holds a whole host of customer and accounts details and another which holds only the customer details. What I'm trying to do is cross reference the two to determine if a customers details appear on both and if they do highlight this, ultimately I'd like it to pull the customers account number back but even if it highlights a match that would be sufficient.
The only unique criteria I have to do this are customer surname and customer postcode.
In the Customer details spreadsheet I'm attempting to enter a formula which will look at the specific surname & postcode held on the row in which it is entered. It will then look at all of the rows on the other spreadsheet and determine whether any of them meet both criteria.
If they do I'd like it to display "match" if they don't I'd like it to display "no match"
I am attempting to place a formula in cell b3 in the attached spreadsheet on the "sheet to pull data into" tab 1 (cell is highlighted yellow) to retrieve value in the yellow highlighted cell in the "Sheet that contains data" which is on a seperate worksheet within the same workbook.
The cells highlighted red in the "sheet to pull into" tab (cells: a1, a3, b1, and b3) are the criteria that needs to be matched to those cells on "sheet that contains data" tab in order to ensure the value returned is correct.Sample of problem.xlsx <----see the attached sample spreadsheet.
Have spent ages on this to no avail. Need the attached sheet to verfiy the values in the "Reconciliation" are correct when referencing the "Prices" sheet. I need column F (Reconciliation sheet) to lookup the "Code" in column B in the "Prices" sheet and then further look up the "Payment Frequency" (column D in the Reconciliation sheet) in the "Prices" sheet to verify that the price is correct.
Due to slight decimal point issues, if the value has a greater than 0.02 difference then display "ERROR" otherwise 0.
I've been looking through past threads and I can't find what I need to do anywhere. There was one formula that came close: =SUMPRODUCT((A2:A100="Aimbry")*(B2:B100="LW")*(C2: C100)). but this adds up all the matching results.
What I need to do is match the info in columns A and B and return a number in column C. The problem is that there are multiple rows with identical entries and I just want to return one of them. So I was thinking a version of the above that produced a mode or average would give the desired result.
Any formula that can look at the data in multiple columns and check for a match - returning a value such as YES or NO. Below is an example of my sheet.
A B C D E F G
1 Name Number Name Number Name Number Match?
[Code] ..........
Basically the formula would be in Column G and would look at B, D, & F to see if they match or not. In the example above - row two - they all match. So a True, 1, or Text option such as YES would be great. Same as row 3 only you can see they are different.
I have saved this on a 2010 workbook as I am at home but this will be used on a 2003 workbook.
I have several projects on one spreadsheet which multiple users will be working and I am trying to create a summary sheet of the work carried out.
Each user is expected to carry out a task on each row of the data held in each worksheet (research, call, update etc) and each task (Option 1-5) is assigned a value. Each user is expected to meet a certain level of points per day to calculate productivity.
I am looking for a sumproduct along the lines of the summary sheet attached but mine just takes one sheet into consideration and I need one for all sheets.
So I am creating a board game in excel. I currently have a draw card feature to draw random cards. I also have section above where you can fill in the answer to the question and another 2 sections that flip to correct or incorrect. Those formulas work as =IF(AND(Sheet1!J6="When resubmitting the claim to another insurance should you be voiding an adjustment to the S code if one is posted?",Sheet1!I2="Yes"),"That is Correct!"," "). I have another for if Sheet1!i2="no" then it flips to that is incorrect. I want an OR formula that will be like if multiple cells have any text in them it will display them but only one cell at a time. So essentially a way for multiple questions to be able to be drawn and you can answer those questions and be told if they are correct or not.
in the "Order for EMS" and "Order for FEDEX" there have 1 product exist, now the customer need to type the country in the "F35", and the Price of weight will look back to the sheet "EMS Weight" and "FEDEX Weight" but for example, if i type Japan in both sheet, the EMS that one is correct 1kg to Japan is $168 but in FEDEX that one is not correct 1kg to Japan is $169 but now show $342, the formula in "G36" should be correct, what's wrong of my formula????
I have some code traversing a directory of folders and subfolders on a shared server and returning a list of those file paths. Around 6000 folders with about 2 subfolders on average. This returns a list of 12000 filepaths but takes around 13-15 minutes to do. Each path looks something like this:
I had a question considering a workbook that I am working on for overtime, a different one than I posted before. On my workbook, I have vacation leave, sick leave, and overtime to figure in. I want to be able to have a choice to choose which you would like to keep at the end of the week. Such as if you were to work 8 on Mon, 8 hours on Tues, 10 hours on Wed, and then take vacation leave on Thur, for 8 hours, and then work 6 hours on friday, I need a way to choose whether to be paid for the overtime and vacation time, or to subtract two hours from my overtime and add it to my regular time, i.e. 40 hours, or subtract two hours from my leave time and add it to my regular time. I know this sounds complicated, it is at least to me.
I need an economical way to fill values in 12 cells.
I have a list of 50 cities in column A. For each city I need find and fill certain demographical values in columns, L2 through W50, consistent by looking up data in another sheet. Both sheets share the same column names.
I have tried =VLOOKUP(A2,'CitiesDemo'!$A$1:$W$51,11,FALSE) and it works well enough but I would like to drag across and down to avoid manually editing references.
I have been struggling with this formula for ages and have finally given up. What I would like to do is to do a lookup on the concatenated values of Province, Department and Initiative No, which has mutiple values in the status of milestone column, and then give the answer based on a condition.
The condition for this example should be, that if the returned status / or statuses of the initiative is all 1, then the value should be 1, if it's all 2, then the value should be 2, and so on.....but if the values returned from the status of the initiative is a combination of 1,2 or 3, then it should give me the answer 2. If 4 is part of the comination of values returned, then the value should be 4.
Zero - 0 should be excluded from the formula as it is part of planned values and not actual.
I have a sheet (sheet 1) of employee information for multiple buildings as follows:
Employee Name, Building, Pay Grade, Full Time Equivalent (of full time hours worked)
Anne, Centre A, Anne, Grade 2, 1.0 Bob, Centre E, Bob, Grade 3, 0.50 Carl, Centre H, Carl, Grade 2, 0.60 Dan, Centre B, Dan, Grade 1, 1.0 Emma, Centre A, Emma, Grade 3, 1.0 Fash, Centre A, Fash, Grade 2, 0.40 Gemma, Centre C, Gemma, Grade 2, 1.0 Hanna, Centre B, Hanna, Grade 1, 1.0 etc, etc, etc
From another sheet (sheet 2), I wish to populate the total of "Full Time Equililents" at each grade in each centre, eg:
CENTRE, GRADE 1, GRADE 2, GRADE 3 Centre A, 0 1.4 1.0 Centre B, 2.0 0 0 etc,etc,etc
I would like to rows based on multiple column conditions criteria. ie., if the columns N, O, P values are "", then hide the particular row. The logic given in the website here, i tried But, it is not 100% working. It works for a few rows at the start of the database & it works for the rows at the end of the database. In between, for a few rows, even if the column values are "" it does not hide those rows.
I would like to use IF function, to get the answer, if the mark is less than or equal to 20, the answer is AVERAGE, if the mark is between 21 and 25 the asnwer is GOOD, if the mark is between 26 and 30 the asnswe is VERY GOOD, if the mark is above 30 then the asnwer must be EXCELLENT.
I have a formula that is correct all the way up to adding the last *K9. here is an
example:
C9 a number 4 then add 1 to it which makes it 2 now * it by D9 which is the number 384 and the answer is 768 now * that by K9 which is 6 and you get 4608 I'm getting 2310 using this formula... =IF( C9=0, 0, C9+1*D9)*K9.
Is there a way to have the answer to a formula display nothing if one of the cells have nothing. Example cell A3= A1*A2 ... it will naturally show 0.00 but even if both A1 and A2 are completely blank. Is it possible for A3 to show nothing if A1 or A2 or both contain nothing. I still want it to show 0.00 but only if that’s what is in the other cells.
i need t oknow if i can have text added into 1 cell with having a formula with a answer in it as well,,,i have attached a sheet with better examples of what i mean.
I have the following letters in cells D2= A D3=G D4 =L
These represent Accomodation,Groceries, and Liquor. Starting at E12 I want a formula , to drag down the column, which will show either Accomodation, Groceries or Liquor depending on the letter I put in cell D12,
Eventually I will possibly need help to summarise these costs on another sheet with other data such as fuel costs and fuel analysis but this will get me started.
I need to create a formula that takes into consideration 9 possible scenarios using IF and AND. I have 3 performance measures (exceeds requirements, meets requirements, improvement needed) and 3 potential measures (low, medium, and high). I have a spreadsheet where each individual is rated for both. Each combination correlates to a numeric rating on a 9 box grid. I need to include every option in my formula so the correct rating is determined for each individual. I've tried several versions on my own, and can't get past one set of conditions.
I'm looking for a formula which will filter the area expiring in any given year per property. An example would be (from the attachment) - what percentage of area of Property 2 is expiring in 2010? Answer is 50.94%.
I have a set of 4 multiple choice answers B,C,D,E column "F" lists a # 1-4 which lets you know which column letter (b,c,d,e) the correct answer is in. I want to set up a formula that will copy the contents of the correct answer (based on that # identifier) and copy it into column "A" which is currently blank.
A_________ B Frank Sinatra C Sammy Davis D Dean Martin E Joey Bishop F 3
I want to put "D"'s value 'Dean Martin' in column A - i know it belongs in A because the "3" in column F indicates its the 3rd answer listed i.e Dean Martin. This format would be the same where there are 4 possible answers on the column to the right dictates which answer is correct.
