I created this formula to show commission but it doesn't incorporate the array below.
How can I incorporate a vlookup into the formula above showing this array of info?

Is there a way to include an if then else function to an average formula that will skip cells with zero?

I need to often enter a formula such as:
=SUMIF(H1:H500,"=a",G1:G500)
but, I need to change the variable 'a' to whatever letter I need.
I wrote the following:
y = InputBox("Enter letter")
So, how do I incorporate the 'InputBox' result in the formula?
If I use =SUMIF(H1:H500,""=x"",G1:G500) I just get 'x' as a result, not the letter I input.

I am trying to incorporate several IF statements into a single formula:
=IF(AB5<20,"LR",IF(AND(AB5<30,AB5>25),"C",IF(T5<>"","CLEAR",IF(AND(AB5<240,AB5>40,AA5=1),"B-T1-F10",""))))
What I am trying to achieve with this formula is:
- insert LR if AB5 is less than 20;
- insert C if AB5 is less than 30 but more than 25;
- if neither of the above is true, insert CLEAR if T5 contains something and if not insert B-T1-F10 if AB5 is between 240 and 40 and AA5 = 1.
The problem I have is that the B-T1-F10 is not being inserted where the other criteria are not met so I think I have not integrated the statements correctly?

I have have sumproduct formula that works well, however I need a section of it to use a condition.
"=SUMPRODUCT(--(('Input Sheet'!$A$10:$A$20009=3)+('Input Sheet'!$B$10:$B$20009=1)+('Input Sheet'!$C$10:$C$20009=1)=3),--('Input Sheet'!$L$10:$L$20009>=G21),--('Input Sheet'!$L$10:$L$20009<=J21))"
The first section ('Input Sheet'!$A$10:$A$20009=3) looks at column of data and checks if any of the data says 3, however I need the formula to look at the column of data and determine if the figure is =>3 and also =<5.

I searched and I keep finding something that's not quite what I'm looking to do so I think I'm missing something really simple.
Let's say that I want each cell in col b to be the sum of 5 plus whatever value is in the cell adjacent to it on the left (col).
I know that you can just write a formula in each cell like...
b1 will be =sum(a1+5)
b2 will be =sum(a2+5)
... but is there a shortcut so that you don't have to write out the actual cell address for each one?
Meaning - is there a predefined name or something that represents the cell to the left or right so you can just use that instead, allowing you to just copy paste the same formula all the way down the column? Something like...
b1 will be =sum(left+5)
b2 will be =sum(left+5)
... where "left" represents whatever value is in the cell to the left of that particular cell?

I have the following worksheet ,named "Calendar", to make an annual calendar and I'm wondering if there's a way to use it to make a calendar in worksheet named "NovemberDaily". On the worksheet named "NovemberDaily" I want to put in cells C14, G14, K14, O14, S14, W14, and AA14 "11/1/2007" if the weekday of the week matches the date"11/1/2007". Is this possible or is there an easier way of accomplishing this. I'm needing the date (e.g. 11/1/2007) in the cells mentioned because it ties into another formula that I'm using later in the worksheet.

However I want to use a variable called "NEWYEAR" which holds the 2011-12 part
For example this part stays the same
ChDir "C:Documents and SettingsAdminDesktopMIKEPAYROLL
folder 2011-12 held in variable NEWYEAR may or maynot exist.
if the folder exists I want to be able to use the folder, however if it doesn't I need to create it.
The problem is I am not sure how to incorporate the variable into the path.

I would like to incorporate a series of if statements in column D of my macro that looks at the labels in column C. If the label is 10 characters long, it returns the full 10 characters. If the label is 11 characters long, it returns the leftmost 10 characters.
What syntax would work for this?

I have the following formula: ...................
and excel is saying I used too many characters and to use the concatenate function to do so, but I have no idea how.
I wanted to return text rather than a '0' in the case that all the original IF statements were false, I threw another IF statement in there and said if the original is equal to '0', then return "-". If not, then run through the original again (I pasted the original again after the "-").

I want to search the selected range for a variable value (calculated previously in the sub) and if it finds the value I want the sub to do some things. If it's not in the range I want it do something else.

This works and cuts the value I'm looking for if it finds a value in the range. The problem is it's not in the range I don't know how to tell it to follow other instructions. I tried the "iserror" with an in statement, but it said the range was not set. Intellisense isn't working and I don't really know how to use the .find method ...

How to incorporate a calculated field for a sub group.
Here's what the data in the table looks like.

Managed

I am looking to get 3 calculated fields onto the Right hand side that would essentially be the following Formula
=IF(L4"",IFERROR(D4/H4,"n/a"),"")
Thus,
1st Column
=IF(Competitive(A)"",IFERROR(Competitive(A)/Managed(A),"n/a"),"")
2nd Column
=IF(Competitive(B)"",IFERROR(Competitive(B)/Managed(B),"n/a"),"")
3rd Column
=IF(Competitive(C)"",IFERROR(Competitive(C)/Managed(C),"n/a"),"")
The other option would be how to set up conditional formatting to always take on the appearance of Column K of the pivot table. Thus, this calculated section would always appear as though a part of the pivot table and would adjust based on any pivot table items being expanded and collapsed.

I am trying to create a line graph that will incorporate multiple columns of data in one series of data. The reason I do not place all of the data in one column is because it could exceed the maximum amount of rows allowed in excel. Also I need the data split up for viewing purposes.
I can easily just graph one column but how do I combine all the columns into one line graph with the data being in separate columns. Basically all the columns will be my Y values and X values are just 1:n.
Example Below:

Now in the example all of the values are x values.

I have a spreadsheet with a customers information and various parts we make for them. I need to be able to take this information and incorporate it into a label format. I need something quick and easy as there can be 150 parts per customer

i have two excel files which are data and master..both files will be use for salary calculating.. the vlookup formula will be use in master files for dragging the salary data from Data files..the formula as follow VLOOKUP(B4:B225,'D:Salary[Data.xls]AUG'!A$1:F$65536,6,FALSE))
the vlookup working fine to me.. but my problems is i want the data to be auto calculated when they have same value in two columns.. or if the name is similar/match in two columns (one for salary and another one for overtime), the salary should be auto calculated.
Data files will contain of these:
a:Employee ID
b:employee name
c:Employee salary/Overtime
Master files will contain of these:
a:Employee ID
b:Emplyee Name
c:Employee Nett Salary (that will be dragging from Data files)
is there any formula that i can used to combined with my vlookup formula?

I have a formula in a cell which is a lookup on another worksheet:
=VLOOKUP(C1,'Staging'!A3:CG92,6,FALSE)
The worksheet name is Staging, and I want to replace the actual name of the worksheet with the value from a variable. I have created a one cell Name called "WS" and in that cell is where I place the name of the worksheet (comes from some VBA code).
how to replace 'Staging' with the variable WS into the VLOOKUP formula.
For informational purposes, the value of the variable changes based on some VBA code, and can contain one of three different worksheet names.

Working on a college football spreadsheet where 14 people wager $100 per week (just for fun, not real dough) on games using the vegas spreads. The basic function of this spreadsheet was to display the name of the person with the highest monetary winnings. For this, I used IF forumlas since there were only 6 players. Now we have 14 and I've discovered the rule of 7 with the IF formula making my spreadsheet non-functional. I read some on VLOOKUP and even watched a copy trainings on YouTube but I'm not sure that's best for this particular spreadsheet.
Here is a copy/paste of my previous forumla: =IF(A2=Sheet1!C22,Sheet1!C2,IF(A2=Sheet1!D22,Sheet1!D2,IF(A2=Sheet1!E22,E22,IF(A2=Sheet1!F22,Sheet1! F2,IF(A2=Sheet1!G22,Sheet1!G2,IF(A2=Sheet1!H22,Sheet1!H2,IF(A2=Sheet1!I22,Sheet1!I2,IF(A2=Sheet1!J22 ,Sheet1!J2,))))))))
The formula refers to Sheet1 which contains =LARGE(Sheet1!C22:P22,1). This forumla displays the highest value for the current monetary winnings. Anyways, I hope I did a sufficient job explaining the current workings of my spreadsheet and my current problems.

On sheet 1 I have a combo box with drop down. I choose a serial number 123456. The linked cell is C3. The combobox ListFillRange is Serials!A1:A10
On sheet2 in column A I placed the serial numbers in A1:A10. I placed the corresponding parts in B1:B10.
Here is what I am looking for. I choose the serial number in the combo box, and it looks at the serial, and in cell H3 it outputs the corresponding part.

I have a grid of cells in range B4:F18.
Range B4:B18 contain names and the columns C-F contain dollar amounts.
In row 20 I want to show the name from column B who has the highest dollar amount in the column.
In C20 I entered =VLOOKUP(MAX(C4:C18),$B$4:$F$18,1,FALSE) but rather than returning the name of the person with the highest dollar amount in that column, it returns #N/A. The cells showing the dollar amounts pull the data from another worksheet with an equals formula - can this be the reason?

I can't seem to get the format of the Vlookup formula right for what I am using it for.
I attached a copy of the spreadsheet. What I am trying to do is input a value in cell E7. Then have Vlookup search column L6 to L75 for a match and return the value in column Q next to that match, and put that "score" in cell E9.

I have a spreadsheet that currently includes the following formula:
=VLOOKUP($C42,$A$42:$B$61,2,FALSE)
Col A is numeric output
Col B is staff names
Col C specifies top ten output numbers from Col A
The above formula goes in column D and It returns the staff names with the top ten output. My problem is that if two members of staff have the same output it formula will repeat the name only one staff member in both rows. Is there any way of altering the above formula so that it will show both staff names in each row?

How to make vlookup work right? I have tried it once and it worked but I can't get it ot work again.
I changed the format to text for the data I using and the data I looking in to see if that would fix the ref# or N/a error.
Is the formatting one possible issue?
I am slow to vlookup but I used the formula as
1. the lookup value is the serial #
2. the table_array is the entire worksheet that I am searching in - or should I just use the column that hold the values I am looking for?
3. the column_index_num is ??
4. [range_lookup] is FALSE.

Objective: To find out which customers order certain items and which customers dont order certain items. Many customers may order the same item eg customer A, B, C, D all order item "4567"
I have 2 worksheets.
Worksheet 1: Showing 30 item codes, item description and customers. Items in col A (A2:A31), description in col B (B2:B31) runnning down vertically. Customer name in cell 1 of all other columns running across horizontally, eg C1, D1, E1.... (C1:GF1). There are 186 customers. (A formula needs to start at C3 and dragged to GF3)
Worksheet 2: Raw data showing customers in column A and items in column B, There are 3,753 rows. Customer in column A are duplicated as the same customer may order a number of items so for eg
